Great neighborhood store for pretty much everything you need. Service is always excellent. Jalen in the paint department helped me pick the correct paint supplies. I would have been very lost on my own. You can’t get knowledge or service like that on Amazon.

Every time I visit, everyone is super friendly and helpful. I love this place. They sold me a lovely lime green mailbox and beautiful matching ceramic planter but unfortunately the old bag across the street said its not a historical color and abused her committee power to force me to remove it. It has since been stolen, so I am calling Ace now to see if they still have the screaming electric orange mailbox. I am moving soon and will put it up just to spite her before I leave. Maybe I can cement it to the brick to make it harder to remove. Anyway, I am on hold and the music is awesome. Best on hold music ever. I expect nothing less from this store. Go there.

I will start off by saying every Ace hardware in Baltimore has a pet cat LOLGreat customer service here you cant even get in the door without someone trying to help you find what you need.Ace hardwares have what you need for general repairs but are catered more towards the homeowner.Prices are a little bit higher than your big box stores but not that much of a difference to make you not support a smaller local business

The customer service at this location is very good. Every time I go I get help with any of my DIY questions. The employees ask me if I need help. I have always been able to find what I need. Some items seem a little more expensive than at other stores but I guess that is the trade off for not having to drive all the way out to another county.

Sorta the only one in its area, yet for its location its truly situated not too far out the way. Im certain that youll be able to find all that you need and much more as they seemed to full up on in stock items..

Very nice experience. I was helped the minute I walked in. Cashier asked if I need help finding anything, I told her, she told me exactly where to find the item. Prices were a little high, but I kinda understand. Would give 4.5 stars if possible.

And another star knocked because a lot of what they sell-- things I can get elsewhere-- are really overpriced. Things that were $10-$15 should have really been $6 and under.. things as in up front by the checkout counter items.

An absolute gem in the Federal Hill/South Baltimore community. The employees are all so helpful and nice. They carry pretty much everything you would need for your home; so much so that sometimes its fun to just browse and see what you can find! Ace is also one of our dogs favorite places in the neighborhood because he can smell all the smells, and of course he loves the treats.

I will start this review saying that I love this store and the people who work there but I do feel an obligation to share an experience I had with paint yesterday. I bought a gallon of paint for my living room and wanted them to match the color I had (touch-up). They did their best with the computer to match my paint chip but after attempting touch-up with the new paint it wasnt a good match. I then proceeded to repaint the entire living room with the new paint. The issue arose when I didnt have enough of the new paint and I went back to get the exact match of the new paint they sold me (with the recipe on the label). They made the next gallon and I saw that the recipe numbers were different. When I asked about this, they told me that their computer system doesnt allow them to enter in the recipe code and all they could do was try to match the color (as they had tried and failed to do with my original paint chip). Long story short, I was told that there is nothing more they could do and was simply offered a refund for the second gallon and sent on my way.UPDATE: I went back to the FedHill Ace Hardware the next day and worked with their GM to solve the issue and get the recipe input into the system for an exact match. They were very cooperative and did an amazing job of working with me to ensure a positive outcome. Im really proud of their efforts and demonstration of concern.If you are planning on purchasing paint and want to be assured that should you need an exact match later on, it is really important to keep the code from the label and make sure that they can enter this code into their system properly. I just wanted people to know this to avoid issues that may arise later. I hope this helps.

I come in atleast 5 times a month and absolutely love this store.MATT is the absolute best he always knows exactly how to help and or where its located and what i might need to get to help me finish my project.Everhtime i come in and im greated and asked if i need help i ask for MATT, and boom im problems are solved.Love the store.

Every time I come to the store, the staff have always been helpful and welcoming when I need stuff like some home improvement/stuff to decorate apartment, or some houseplant related stuff for those who don’t have outdoor spaces.Also, I wish I can give an extra star for Decker the store cat. You can also take a visit just to see him lol.

For a smaller hardware store, theyre painting supplies were outstanding. Since that was what I came to get, I got everything on my little shopping list. The parking lot is a trifle small but then again its kind of a small store. The counter person was very helpful and very cheerful. Good place to go, particularly when you dont feel like driving way out for a Home Depot. Well worth the trip, two thumbs up

This is a small Ace Hardware Store tucked into the neat area of Baltimore called Federal Hill. A very pleasant change from the Giant Stores, theyll greet you when you walk in and ask you if you need help. Although the store is small, theyve had just about anything Ive needed when Ive been in there so kudos for them. Staff is also been very helpful. One thumb up and worth the trip.

Federal Hill Ace Hardware is truly a neighborhood gem that I treasure. Not a large store, but just the right size. They may not have 15 choices of everything, but they have the necessary 2 or three choices of everything you may be looking for. Plus... most importantly... they have real people who are actually eager to help you with the knowledge and wisdom necesaary. Cannot say how refreshing and wonderful that is to experience. Such a great place I almost like going to the hardware store.

Not very friendly, they follow you around the store like your gonna steal something even when you say you dont need any help. The one in Canton is rude, except for Mike and Mark.

I have never met an Ace Hardware that I didnt love.....and this location does not disappoint. Employees are always willing and wanting to help you find what you need. And they have every hardware and home need you could possibly want. I find a need to go to Ace pretty much WEEKLY (sometimes multiple times in a week) since moving to Federal Hill 2 years ago. The only item I have gone in there looking for that they did not have was a bag of latex balloons (they have foil balloons they can fill with helium for you but they do not sell bags of balloons not blown up.) sometimes I like to walk around this store just to see what fun items they have that I didnt know about! AND they have an entire jarring/pickling section. its a great store, just trust me.

ACE Hardware touts itself as the friendly neighborhood hardware store, and this location lives that ethos every day. Im always welcomed when I come in, and if I need something an associate will do their best to find it for me. Their knife-sharpening service is excellent, and they even have a house cat--whats not to like?

The staff is knowledgeable on any small home project and happy to provide recommendations.

Way better than HomeDepot, clean, organized and with a friendly staff with a hint of southern hospitality. Ace has a better more local selection than Bass Pro for certain things. Love the cat as well.

Bad in app ordering issues....now support emails to tell me its impossible to cancel my 2 purchases of $95.37!!! And that my refund will take 7-10 days after its canceled. Which also takes several days. Equaling $190.74 so sad during a Pandemic. Like who has extra money to give away. I just wanted 3tables. Ended up going to Home Depot cost more but, at least same day pickup means same day! And the price online is honored when theres ring up issues..... I didnt have ANY ISSUES! Money in limbo...no tables! I guess ACE made out sale wise.They even went as far to say Bank of America was at fault. Lol they #1 in fraud protection....just my experience.People instore were cool.

Workers are always nice.Selections can be a bit limited but the workers will be happy to find alternatives or make suggestions for where you can find the thing youre looking for.Join their membership if you plan on going again! Totally worth it.

Go to hardware store in Fed Hill neighborhood. Honestly its a perk of living there for residents. Great friendly staff with a wide selection of products. I go all the time for little repair purchases for clients and refer them to this location as well. Keep doin what youre doing, Fed Hill Ace!

This particular Ace hardware has a diverse and unique inventory.. It is the best one I have ever visited. Totally worth checking out and parking is not an issue. They have there own parking lot. This is an issue in this neighborhood and could preclude people from going there.

Ordering items they dont have is quick and easy competitively priced. Ive only ever had one item i couldnt find. Not bad for a local in town hardware store. Join the rewards program too, its worth it vs the big box hardware stores.
