Jeanie know your boundaries. True, you work with your husband but his customers are NOT your customers. Focus on your customers.Your attitudes here are awful. A client is always right. Thats the number one rule in customer service. Its true that some clients could be difficult but this nail salon can push you to be on your worst behavior.I came for a fill in and Don did an awful job. Jeanie just wont shut up. You dont know it all jeanie. Learn to listen more rather than gossip in your language cuz guess what? Some of us are smart enough to pick a word or two from your gossip.Just know youve lost a regular customer who always tips. Not returning here!

This was a fill in except my pointer fingers. Both pointer fingers acrylic are too thick and the shape of all the nails is a bit odd... like a v shape🥴🥴. Nice guy tho chair 10.

I received a gel pedicure and my polish from my pinky toe came completely off the next day. Never had that done before.

Ive been to Rubys twice and both times they were very rude, unprofessional and seemed very money hungry. The first time i was told that i couldnt turn the massage chair on because I only paid for a basic pedicure the technician then went on to say if i paid for gel polish then i can actually turn the chair on. I said no i didn,t want get nor did i want to upgrade my pedi to the next leave the tech then started to become very ruff to the point where i asked her to stop and asked for another tech. the next tech came and was more gentle but still was very rude. I live close to the area and i really didnt want to travel to far so i decided to give them another chance and boy was i sorry. the tech was rude pushy she was mad because i asked her to clean to bowl and utensil which clearly needed to be cleaned. I was then refused service and asked to leave. I then asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came over she didnt even want to hear the problem I was immediately told me to leave because i didnt want to spend money for a higher peidcure so they didnt have to clean or change the untensils for me i was very upset and i will never go back to that place again the health department needs to shut them down

Do not go to this place to get your eyebrows done they will take off your eyebrows. They have unlicensed people working that dont know what they are doing I repeat they are not licensed. They do not speak English. No customer service what so ever.

I know there are good nail techs here but I did NOT get one. They have a middle aged woman in here that is clearly unlicensed and not trained. I have soooo much polish on my cuticle. I had to stop and say before you cure the gel polish you need to get the polish from off my cuticle and skin. She say no no it’s fine!!! Ummmm...that’s not fine. When it dries there will be dried polish on my skin. She also does not paint smooth. It’s lumpy and uneven. SMH! Someone else came and had to redo my nails.

Wayne is great! Im going to miss him.Lucy (the owner, not so much!!) Ive been coming here for years. Ive brought 2 wedding parties, 4coworkers, 2aunts, and my elderly mother to this salon.My mom and I had 10 am appointments. Wayne was on time. Moms tech wasnt. He never came to her to say hello. Im running late. Ill be right with you, NOTHING. I complained to Wayne who called Lucy (The OWNER)She came in said nothing to me. I got her attention and quietly expressed my concern and frustration on the poor customer service. She started raising her voice going on about managing 2 salons and other things. I said that doesnt matter. Its customer service. He (the tech) should have greeted/said something we were waiting for 30 minutes.I apologized to the customers in the salon, paid my bill (my nails werent finished) left and we went somewhere else.Ive been coming here for 5 years and I will never return.Take care Wayne. Lucy, I hope you find a better way to communicate with your customers. Especially ones who bring you business. I will be posting on ALL my social media and I will tell those that I know not to go to Ruby Nails on Security Blvd.

I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years i love them. Ruby is amazing as well as Man. They do impeccable work. This is the one shop where I’ll let any one except 2 techs do my nails and i leave more than satisfied. And let’s not forget my glass of wine with my deluxe pedicure. This place is great.

I paid alot for my nails they charge for every little detail. I had my eyelash done the lady had my eyelash point up like a tent and was like ok ur ready to go I looked in the mirror I was like no I need to fix this isnt correct she came back added more lashes and ignored me after I came back again to make a compliant and they told me they would redo it but she only added more lashes to my eye. When I complain it still wasnt right she tried to charge me .When my lash were time to be taken off the had compiled so many lashes on my eye it took off all my natural eyelash off. DO NOT GO HER these ppl are rude and uncaring Abt the product they produce theyre only here to cash in on the black dollar!

I have been going to Ruby nails for a couple months now and usually get good service but today must have been a different staff. Terrible customer service. When I came in for my pedicure, the technican working on my feet had an attitude like she didnt feel like being at work! She didnt greet me, was really rough, and what upset me was that she was really rude. Apparently they have a policy of charging $3 extra if you want two alternating colors on your toes because its more work. Ive gotten this done before plenty of times at other salons and its never been an extra charge. I informed her and her rude manager I was already going to pay for designs. They didnt care about losing a customer over $3 that they were clearly overcharging. So not only did they miss out on the $5 for the designs and $5 I was going to tip, they lost a customer because Ill never return. There are way too many salons in Baltimore city and county to put up with them. One star!

My pedicure costs $42 and they couldnt even explain why. And it was basic. No callus removal, no wax. Pretty much just a soak and paint

Wow Im unsure of who was working when you had your bridal party experience Brittany, but I took my daughter here with 8 others for her wedding Manicures and pedicures and the experience was awesome. We were given free wine and snacks at no extra charge and the work was excellent. I have been a customer at this salon for over 5 years and i have never had a bad experience..

I have been coming here since 2010 and I will never go anywhere else. They always do an amazing job. Now they serve drinks 🍷 I love it I get pedicures, full sets, eyebrows and eyelashes and sometimes a full face wax

The prices are cheap, and I never have a problem with this nail Solon. They have great customer service, and always seem to satisfy me. I have gone to this nail Solon for 5 years now, and they know my name by heart. Im very pleased with this nail Solon, and they do a superb job on my nails! I always get designs, and they do it perfectly, and if they did something I didnt want, they would start again. This is the best nail Solon in town!

This place does not have good service nor do they do nails well. I asked for basic services for my nails . Just a plain ole gel and nice a shape . I have experience with two nail techs that don’t know how to shape or do gel polish . I have a problem with the GEL polish chipping almost every time I go here . I returned to get my nails fixed( after a bad service) . A worker at the front desk asked me where my receipt was and asked me , who did my nails . I didnt have my receipt ( I don’t think a person usually keeps a receipt for nails ) . Just because I’m super basic and conservative . I didn’t think my nail session should require me to know who my nail tech is . Especially if they don’t introduce them selves , or if I’m not picky . I told her I didn’t know . And she acted as if she didn’t want to fix it and like I was telling a fib . She then finally decided to fix my nails, and didn’t even remove gel that was chipped completely and then , she begin to polish over top of the chipped gel . So now my nails are lumpy . I wouldn’t recommend this place it’s only good because it’s local .

I dont understand why they have so many bad reviews. I have been going there for some time now and have never had one bad experience. I have had my current gel nails on for three weeks with no peeling. I think they do a beautiful job. If you are nice and pleasant to them it will go a long way. It is so embarrassing to me when people, especially black women, talk to them like they are the help and get so rude with them. It makes us look really bad! Those nail techs put up with a lot. Because I give them the respect they deserve because they do wonderful on my nails!

I am a cosmetology student and I decided to get my nails done tonight 3/19/2019. The first thing I asked when I walked in is do you have time for a soak off and full set. They said yes. Once I sat down one of the workers began to rip my freaking nails off OMG!! I said I ask for a soak off she said we dont have time for that yeah ladies dont go there period. This is even more motivation to open up my own shop for proper nail care.

The lady next to me got one and her nail was turning colors underneath and the man just said it’s fine will go away. No that’s an infection and being spread with the tools you are using. I got a gel manicure within a week it peeled and so did my pedicure don’t come here

My 16 yr old daughter went in here and she was taken advantage of, possibly because she was young and inexperienced! She was charged $40, when the services rendered was ONLY $25! (I later called and confirmed their prices.) They purposely OVERCHARGED her! This was HER hard earned money! Not to mention, the staff was rude. They made my child feel uncomfortable by continuously speaking in their native language, and constantly laughing directly in front of her. Three days later her nails started chipping and I had to pay to get them redone, understandably at a different shop! That was the first and LAST time that we will EVER step foot in Ruby Nails!!!

If you only want a manicure dont come here. First visit harable. Done by a man thats hands felt like glass. 30 sec hand massage with oil from a open container. Nails have bubbles and hair in them. I asked to fix it he put another coat on and said that better. I guess if your not doing gel or powder your money is not good enough.

RUDE RUDE RUDE! Lady went off because I didn’t like the color she painted on my 3 toes! I wanted to change the color and she flipped out and says “Do you not know all the people I have waiting for me out there?!” Then left me sitting there to wait on another customer and wouldn’t service me. A man then comes over and says I should have told her from the beginning and that I would have to pay extra AND sit and wait for someone to help me. Who knows how long that would have been. Mind you this same lady served me wine in a dirty wine glass that had another woman’s lipstick print! And you have the nerve to go off about me wanting to change the color I picked out! 4 weeks ago another lady ripped off the front of my eyebrow and tried to cover it up by filling it in so I waited 4 weeks, came back and this situation happens! Never again. I’m fuming right now but God’s got it handled already.

Should have checked the reviews first! I have no problem paying for quality. But this ... this was not quality at all. I paid for solar and they way these nails are breaking with no pressure.... yeah this is regular acrylic. Ive been getting my nails done for years so I know what I want and what to expect l. The techs at this nail salon will pour water on your foot and tell you its raining ... thats the nicest way I could say it.. Hollywood prices at a hood establishment 🤦🏾‍♀️🙅🏾

RUBY NAILS IS HORRIBLE! I have tried this place The techs are sloppy and will cut you fingers each time! The girl blamed me, but I hadnt moved. I complained about her missing a spot on my toe and she told me that was skin. I had the manager come over and she had to repaint my nail. A different lady got an attitude with me because I decided I didnt want the gel and opted for a regular manicure. The only reason I changed my mind is because when I last came, gels were MUCH cheaper (like $20 cheaper). She seemed irritated when I asked her questions about different services offered. Eventually, the manager came and apologized to me, but the girls there seem to have the worse attitudes and will rush you out of their chair on a non-busy day! Steer clear of this place...its not worth your money.

Lucy the manager is EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional. I wasted 150.00 for eyebrow tattoo services that didnt take. Its been two months and Im still waiting for her to retouch my brows. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY! Not to mention I sent 3 new clients to her and they informed me that they would never return because Lucy was rude to them as well. I was denied refund.

The owner or manager is very rude but tries not to be. She is knowledgeable but I do not like that I think she talks about every customer when they come in. This is the one thing I absolutely hate about this salon, they talk about people (I am 100% sure of it when they dont get a service or ask a question about the service that is being provided). The other reason why this place is getting 2 stars and not 3 is because they are PUSHY. I typically go to the same lady but for some reason she kept trying to push gel nails on me saying, this wont last, gel is better, we have a new product. I told her that is why I stopped coming here because I cant get what I want without you all trying to force something else on me. She stopped talking but then she and the manager started talking continuously. The prices increased and the service does not warrant an increase- other more high quality salons charge less for the basic manicure I received. Sure tell me about your services but dont try to force them on me. Thats how you will lose a customer and any referrals I had made.

I tried this place because a reviewer said they serve drinks....that is a lie.I got my lashes done and they charged me extra because I have big eyes. The two times Ive gone before, my eyes were a normal size. I guess they got bigger. I didnt appreciate that she didnt tell me that before starting.To make matters worse, the $30 lashes came off in less than a week. Lashes usually last 2 to 3 weeks. I went back and she had the audacity to try to charge me to for a fill in.....for less than a week! Usually they dont glue your actually lashes. They glue directly above them. This time she wanted to try something new and applied the glue to the end of my lashes without my permission. As the fake lash came off I now have a bald spot on my lash line! Never again will I go there. They are rude, money hungry, and apparently unlicensed.

I love their work but go to Tammy, Wong, or Ruby, stay away from Nancy, she rushes on everything.

Im only giving 4 stars because of the few experienced nail techs that they have. They have so many new faces every time you go and most of them have no clue what they are doing. One of the guys filed the side of my skin until it burned and got upset when I told him I didnt like my nails. He started to fuss in his language. I have to go back to have one of the “experienced techs” fix my nails. Ruby is awesome, her husband Man, and Tammy are the best. If they are gone, I can’t trust anyone else. The manager is NASTY (its pleasant when she isn’t there and her husband manages) and she gets mad when you ask for a specific tech. I still go bc I love Ruby’s work but be careful because if you don’t have a specific tech they will give you the new person who has no experience

So first off two of my nails broke off after 1 WEEK ! #Cheapassproducts !! So I went back to get two of my nails repaired and she told me it would cost 8 dollars to get them repaired and it already had costed me 35 to get a full set and my toes down and then I have to come back and pay 8 more dollars for two nails so 43 dollars so I asked could I ATLEAST get a discount and this lady gonna get smart with me and say no you have to pay or go back to where you got them done from and I said I got them done HERE and she kept getting me a attitude like just TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE so then I told her I won’t be coming back here and she says ok don’t come back !!! So then I want the same color for my nails I got the last time but I couldn’t find it so when she put the color of my two fingers it didn’t match so I was looking for the right color and I told her I couldn’t find it and she just sitting there not even helping me and getting smart again so then I was like you can just give me my money back then and she’s like no and so I asked to speak to the manager and she said there was no manger available and so me and her start arguing and she calls her co workers over and they start fussing at me to so then I asked to use the phone and they were like no but thankfully I woman was there who let me use her phone and I called my mom up there and the lady just painted my nails and we left but it was just very veryyyyy UNPROFESSIONAL !! And Terrible customer service and i DEF WILL NOT BE BACK !!!

This is the most horrible nail salon in Baltimore and trust me I have been to plenty! They have the worst attitudes and are sloppy! The lady kept cutting my fingers while filing my acrylic and I wasnt even moving ! This one lag didnt know how to do coffin nail shape and when I asked for another person they talked in their language and told me nobody wanted to do my nails cause Im too picky! WHAT! I never experienced such rude customer service in my life ! I do NOT recommend this place at all!

This was the worst service I ever recieved in my life. The staff is rude & theyll insult you in their native tongue & stare at you. My tech was an older lady & sarcastic who pushed my buttons on purpose. I was going to get eyebrow and lashes done but decided to not spend an extra dime. My nails are ugly & when she waxed my mustache she didnt clean the make up off first nor clean afterwards.

Disgusted!! I had always wanted to try this place out and I will never ever go back again. Things started out smooth I had gone there to get a pedi and a full set. I should had known when the pedi was well rushed not much detail to having me relaxed. How my nail tech(NT) shaped my toes and polished them. In my head I was like okay I guess I’ll be fixing the shape at home. Then to my nails. While doing my toes the NT kept on suggesting like the do to get Gel 3xs I said no but I’ll think about it, kool. Sat down tech put the tips on then went to go about cutting them I thought he was joking but was at a cm length to cut I jokingly said no you’re kidding he then said extra $5 for long I had looked at him and grabbed my hand like Wht I was asking for wasn’t even long. I type on a regular but have stubby fingers I do need some length to appear. So he and I go back and fourth. I should had left then! I let him proceed with a medium short cut smh. I had said I didn’t want the acrylic on thick nor did I want my nails wide. All in all I left there a very unsatisfied customer never have I ever experienced anything like this. I work in customer service and know how important it is too keep you customers and wanting them to come back. And I never wrote a review before but this was a waste of money and time. 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Every time I come here and Im first, they help other people before me. Im never coming here again. I was helped when I walked in and sent to the back for a pedicure. I waited 20 minutes before someone started my pedicure. I seen three people get help before me. Also, the person that helped me did bad nails. Theres too many salons to be dealing with this one. Especially when I paid $83 for a full set and pedicure.

The two times before were ok but my last time SMH A guy did my nails bc the lady who did them before was off that day never again.

I took my whole bridal party here to receive services and it was horrible. They rushed us we paid over $350 for just 4 people for pedi, mani and gel polish and they also asked about a tip after that. They offered us a bag of expired plain utz chips and then told us for $50 we could get wine. Our nails were uneven and also one of bridesmaid nails were extremely thick with way to many coats of polish. I use this place on a regular but after my experience I will no longer be using there services

I came here to get a fill in and ended up paying $40. Then my nails werent even the shape they were supposed to be and the gel is already peeling on day 2. I went back today to get a repair after my thumb nail broke and paid $5 to teach the nail tech how to shape coffin nails. Normally my nail tech will cut the edges off the side and shape the nail before she put the acrylic on but not here lol. She just straight up glued the tip on the cut it to my desired length and was about to have me leave with one square nail and the rest coffin. I cant smh lol

The very 1st time I came in was for a pedicure I asked to soak for 15 minutes and the nail techs exact words were yeah for 15 more dollars which ive never known ANY nail salon ive ever been to, too charge to soak. The 2nd time I came in months later I came for a polish change, At first I waned a gel color but I changed my mind and wanted regular color, so after I made that decision I got nothing but attitude of course, The nail tech then tells me that the regular color wouldnt look right b/c all of a sudden I needed a fill-in, mind you I just got a new full set 3 days ago...So I just said never mind all together and yet and still he still wanted me to pay the $8 just to take my polish off. Also their pricing sign didnt have a price next to the Take off labeling! THEY TRIED TO GET OVER ON ME B/C THEY KNOW IM STILL A TEENAGER, THIS NAIL SALON IS FULL OF GET OVERS! HIGHLY DISSATISFIED FOR THE 2ND AND THE VERY LAST TIME. P.S. THEIR WORK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE QUALITY HERE SUCKS!!!!!

Horrible Experience!!!! Worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon. Customer service was below satisfactory and all they care about is a dollar instead of the quality of work. Went to get a pedicure with family and we all left with feet very rough and were told its because we didnt pay for a good pedicure, im guessing the delux package. Then one male employee proceeded to say, if you dont have enough money then stay home. The manager was rude and a liar and so were some of the employees. I thought I was being punked by Ashton Kutcher thats how unreal that experience was. Never AGAIN

Ive been living in the area for 10 + yrs Ruby has a very nasty snobby attitude I lost my debit card and someone used it in her salon I called my bank and reported it but also had to do a police report in my defense there was a sign that required Id for any credit transaction meaning she didnt check if when mine was used while stolen when I confronted her about her policy she got upset ((all about the money )) every since that service if I HAD to come she was very snappy I had to bring someone with me my last visit and I made it my last because she kept saying my card was not swiping she wouldnt say what was wrong and I pulled up my bank info as she swiped it shes DRAMA THEY ARE MESSY AND CAN BE BOSSY ITS YOUR MONEY!

I will never come here again. Im walking out with my nails bleeding.

Terrible customer service. I asked for my nail to be shaped one way they came out another. They charged me 2 extra dollars for long nails but she had the size wrong I only came here because they had more colors then my usual nail shop, but I would rather recycle colors then to deal with them.
