This review is person-specific as I have no issues with Thompson Chrysler as a whole. I received a pre-approval letter and decided to go into the dealership. I was greeted by Kathy M. To say the least she was condescending in asking what I did for a living and how much I make and even before looking at my paystubs, asked if I needed a co-signer. She also went on to talk about how she couldnt stand people kneeling during the anthem... which honestly, is very inappropriate conversation during a car sale as she wouldnt know if Id be offended or not. After she showed me an SUV that I had no interest in, I left disappointed and irritable. I am dreading car hunting due to individuals like her.

!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!: So I went there, they couldn’t find mine that said 2.0 but they had one that said 2.4 only difference is the numbers... So I’ll just stick with that. Now I gotta go online & get 2 screw on studs that were taken off so the front will be secure or get em from crazy rays... No problem... He was nice about it... So I’m changing it to a 5 because they solved my problem.So, my experience was pretty good, had the car towed & dropped off because the check engine light was on & electronic throttle control light was on. Took a little over a week to diagnose & fix but I was fine with that. Replaced a sensor & added oil & an engine additive. Picked it up & everything was fine. Yesterday (approx 2 weeks from the date it was fixed) I popped the hood to add windshield washer fluid & check my fluid levels. To my surprise my engine cover is missing!!!! It didn’t originally come with the car so I had to buy it online for around $80!!!! So it’s not cheap!!! It helps keep the noise down from the fuel injectors & protect the wires & all. I drove their to talk to them about it but they were closed on Sunday. So I called & left a voicemail & I will be there Monday morning!!! Which is today!!! I usually don’t go to dealerships because I like to do the work on my vehicles myself because I like to keep the cost down & like learning new things myself. Plus I do not really trust anyone working on my cars because things can go missing, theft, etc... & I know it’s done right when I do it. About a year ago I had to replace an alternator on my car, this will be my 3rd. Well the 2nd one I had replaced by a shop in Harford County, the bottom bolts were fine, but when I got to the top bolts they were only screwed in half way!!!! I was shocked!!! That’s why I don’t trust shops!!! This issue with my engine cover now has caused me to loose faith that I can trust anyone with my car anymore, no matter how small the part is they should have some type of responsibility to make sure everything is back!!! No matter how busy they are. One would think they would have a bin for each vehicle & keep all parts together & not misplace or loose something. They did get my car fixed & did a good job I must admit, but with this missing I am giving 1 star for right now because stuff like this really upsets me & I get stressed easily. I had a strange feeling that something like this was gonna happen & im glad a discovered it yesterday (Sunday.) Make sure you check & make sure nothing is missing after having work done & leaving!!!!! I’m sure it’s a mistake & they will fix it. I will update to five stars pending i get back my engine cover or a replacement one & may consider bringing my vehicle back for service when I can’t figure out what’s wrong with it like I did this time... I’ve included a pic of what the engine cover looks like...

My car was towed to them on the 14thof July. Had to contact them for estimate paperwork. Shows car to start work on 18th and I still don’t have my car. The communication is horrible. If I don’t call them then I wouldn’t know what is going on. But when I do call I get told yet another story. Parts not in, part can late, wrong part ordered. You don’t buy a car you but a company is a joke. A little communication goes a long way. When a job is going to take more then the 15hrs shown on the estimate then call the customer. When a part is delayed or ordered wrong, call the customer, call the customer to keep them in the loop. Answer the email they sent you! Which still hasn’t been answered. Terrible service/body shop

I REQUESTED A OIL CHANGE, TRANSMISSION FILTER CHANGE AND BRAKES. I WAS TOLD, WOULD BE CALLED TO LET ME KNOW A PRICE FOR ALL, I WAS CALLED AND GIVEN A PRICE, WHEN I ARRIVED TO GET MY CAR THE PRICE WENT UP. I SHOULDVE BEEN CALLED TO LET ME KNOW BEFORE I ARRIVED. THEY DID WORK WITH ME FOR THE INCONVIENCE.
