From the phone, to the gate, to the plane, the staff are courteous and very accommodating. Not snobby like American Airlines. Prices are pretty good. Flight was smooth, left on time and arrived early to our destination. This is my second time flying with Southwest. Ive tried 2 other airlines so far. This one is the best so far. I think Ill stick with Southwest.

Southwest must be posting fake reviews, because my latest two flights were absolutely horrible. Crowded planes, 80° temperatures in the cabin on both flights, no air circulation, and bad attitudes from the flight attendants. We were treated like cattle. Oh and I almost forgot, we were warned that if we expressed any displeasure whatsoever in the flight, we would be put on the no-fly list –whatever that means

Best airline out there right now. Prices are good and you get 2 checked bags included with your ticket. The staff is almost always friendly.Two issues: 1. I dont love the open seating. Its not horrible, but it would be nice to have my seat picked out ahead of time. On the other hand, this is nice for last minute plans. So long as you can check in 24hours in advance (or pay for early bird, automatic check in) it doesnt matter when you purchase your tickets.2. Since the pandemic hit maintaining your original flight itinerary is non-existent. The flights you planned months ago will be changed 3-4 times before you actually fly. And its not like they give you the next best option, so you have to call or go online to change it. Also the number of direct flights has dramatically decreased and I have not been able to fly in or out of my main two airports (Ive had to drive to the next closest for a decent flight).

Low fares and not always best! After constantly checking in at the 24 hour mark we are ALWAYS in high numbers. Pre boarding passenger are more and more every time I fly. Nothing against people that need the assistance, its the others that walk off the airplane to their cars! Paying for seat upgrade gets irritating when pre board passengers are filling up rows.

The flight was delayed by several hours and poorly managed communication regarding ETA updates. When transfering to a different plane, the baggage remained on the delayed plane instead of the newly designated one thus wasting several hours waiting for baggage.I typically fly United but I gave them a chance because of the good reviews.Never again. Terrible communication and service.

Love the airline but not the ladies who were supposed to offer a good costumer services on 11/17/2020 at 5:34pm. Sadly they dont know how to help or about costumer service which. I was trying to rebook my boyfriends flight that he missed that day and they couldnt help at all. I ended up paying for the parking lot, with no ticket on my hand, drive to the airport for no reason and a very stressful night because they gave me an attitude and tell others agents who were asking me if I need help to not help me... like seriously?Thankfully I called the airline number and someone helped me on the phone. Very sad they have hired people like those ladies that day.

Southwest Airlines in BWI Someone stole items out of my suitcase when I got to my destination in Dallas and over my suitcase things were missing and there was no reason for this Im so disappointed with this. I will be letting people know that this airline has a problem with thieves. Im crying and shaking my head because I work hard.

Thank you to the tall female flight attendant just now from Dallas to BWI. Flight staff are there for our safety, be it trauma or virus. Proud that flight 2614 can save us from bad actors, whether it be irresponsibility or mental instability.

I can only say nice things about this Airline. The people working the counter are extremely friendly and super helpful.Down near the gate everyone seemed to have a good energy and managed to keep the mood positive for those who have been there for awhile.The flight crew of course were full of life which is amazing when you look at what they have to deal with on a day to day basis.In prefer to only fly Southwest so hopefully they will continue to expand so that I can continue to enjoy.

This was a complete disaster, they broke my wifes toe.They moved me to another line where I was divided from my wife .I had my son with me.He is 7 years old.Luckily he was there or southwest would of been south for good.They put me in a detrimental situation where we had to fly home separate. Baggage claim was all wrong and so was the overnight delay that we lost money on due to negligence on southwest to have competent people working on planes for maintenance.

I have travel on a few airlines on the US, and I keep choosing Southwest Airlines. I can’t even count how many flights I have been on, but to date I have never had a bad experience. I have received a few hundred dollars in vouchers for flights that honestly weren’t even delayed by much. They also send our drink Vouchers as well. This is the first airline I check for before looking elsewhere!

Just flew to Dallas, Texas last week out of BWI. I had a great flight there and back. We had a layover in Michigan on our way there and our landing was the smoothest Ive ever experienced. Coming back we flew in a new plane. Theyre so roomy and more comfortable. I love southwest and will only fly southwest!

I am always happy to fly Southwest! The service is great, lines are efficient and the ticket and gate agents have always been helpful and friendly. I fly a lot and rarely have problems. Sometimes flights get cancelled for weather or mechanical reasons. If its their fault for a delay, theyve always given travel vouchers to everyone affected.

Always my favorite airline. Flying is often unpleasant, but 90% of the time the folks at Southwest do their best to make it better. My wife got food poisoning from an airport restaurant and was unable to make the 2nd flight but they rebooked us for next day and made sure she was ok before we left for the hotel.

Southwests only downfall is that they dont offer more international flights.. but who knows what the future holds. My experiences with this company and this terminal have always been positive, with fast and friendly staff who make the event somewhat enjoyable.

I had to go by this location in order to get packages that were shipped on Southwest Airlines. The Southwest Airline personnel kept picking up the phone and then would hang it up. Upon my arrival at shipping desk, the Personnel were super helpful and very friendly. I dont know if these were the same Personnel picking up the phone to hang it up or if I got a different batch upon my arrival at the counter.

I had my moms warmer taken and thrown away by TSA agents. Ever since they disposed of it stating “You can’t have this on the plane she has been having constant neck and back pain and it disgusts me that they threw away her warmer.

Not the Same friendly Southwest the use to be . For example , connecting flights will not wait , sometimes horrible customer service like you cant imagine , losing bags with connecting flights , dirty planes in the pm flights , planes frequently going out of service be very careful choosing Southwest especially if you are going on vacation

Used to love this airline. Sadly there are just too many issues with their flights nowadays. My two most recent flights were each delayed over 3 hours for mechanical problems. Need to take better care of their equipment. This is no way to run an airline. Very disappointed.

They canceled my flight, then rescheduled me to another canceled flight and didn’t even apologize or compensate me for my trouble or anything. I got up at 3 am to catch a flight to Cincinnati and am now stuck in Baltimore until 9:30 TONIGHT. You guys will never get another cent from me. I missed one of the biggest engagements in my family because of this and do not feel valued as a customer.

Fantastic experience. They have self tagging kiosks, everyone is so friendly, getting your bag checked and a boarding pass is super fast. I fly out of BWI every week. Flights have been on time and I have not had a cancelled flight. Best airline!

Southwest is destroying our lives in Columbia with the new FAA NextGen superhighway. Over 150 flights a day fly directly over Columbia with no dispersal and at only 4000 feet over 10 miles from BWI. Southwest you will reap what you sow!

First and probably last time to fly Southwest Airlines. Flew out of Memphis with 6 other people on a High School trip. Flew to Orlando then to Baltimore. South west lost all of our luggage. We’ve been in Baltimore for 6 hours and they have no idea where our luggage imay be. How can an airline lose 6 large bags of luggage. Do they scan the tags? Our students are competing in FBLA National testing and are having to sleep and probably wear the same clothes tomorrow. We have no toiletries. They said they’d give us a $50 when the luggage is found.They should give you the voucher as soon as your luggage goes missing. They should also give you a bag that contains toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant and a hair comb.

Holy S$$$T people let me give you a word of advice if coming to BWI ...follow the signs for VALET service you will thank me later ....now after that when you get into the airport your gonna need a freakin guide dog to get you around ...and no Im not joking. The place is a maze ...do your self a favor ASK for directions from anybody in a uniform for help or your gonna need a rescue chopper to get you out and DONT eat food there it wayyyyyy to high in cost but it is good

Just dont fly with these guys. Yes its cheap but the near guarantee of them; losing your bag, cancelling your flight, or damaging your property far outweighs the lower cost. Im in BWI for the next 14 hours because Southwest cancelled my connecting flight while I was in the air. No reason given, no option to switch airlines, they just grounded me in Baltimore.

This is to inform you about my absolute horrible experience with the gate agent at the BWI airport. I have travelled with many other airlines with checked bags from BWI and other airports but I have never done so with Southwest Airlines. This is my first time. So I am unaware of your policy of self-tagging. Hence when I had 2 bags to be checked in this flight, I approached the gate agent named Ashley. She basically waived her hand and asked me have you tagged the bag? I gave her a questioning look and she said get tags for your bag. See this gave me an impression that southwest gate agents dont tag checked bags anymore and that we ourselves have to do it. So I checked with the gate agent again as to what she means and she said in a raised voice Get the tags from the matchine. I was taken aback and went to the machine (where with other airlines, we only check in and get boarding passes) and got the tags. This is my first time operating the baggage tags and felt very uncomfortable doing it under the fear of doing it incorrectly and losing my bag. After tagging, I put my close to 50 pound bag on the weighing scale and the same gate agent took my bag and THREW it on the belt. Once again taken aback, I asked her why she was being so rude. She then yells at me that I put the bag (again, close to 50 pounds) on the weighing scale with force and that if I wanted someone to tag the bag, I should have used full service aisle. She said there is a board there that says that these are self-tag aisle. Then she went on a rant as to how hard I kept the close to 50 pound bag on the weighing scale, which completely shook me and rendered me speechless.I am not an athlete and cant carry 50 pounds like a feather. Plus she threw my bag on the belt. Doesnt that have the same implications? And worst of all, yes, I admit, I did not read the board about the self-tag aisle but the agent assumed that I either knew the BWI airport like I was born here or that I read every board as I walk. Isnt she supposed to inform me of my options when I inquire about tagging and checking in my bags? If she fails to do that, why is she there? Wont a bouncer or a person who can lift heavy things do her job?I am sorry to say that I am completely shaken by this experience. I travel through domestic carriers a lot. I have never been treated this way by any person in any airport. I switched to flying southwest because of the good flexibility and good customer service and here we are.
