I love this salon, I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff is amazing, they are all friendly and willing to help in anyway they can. Everytime I go in they are all laughing and having a great time. These reviews have to be fake. Hands down worst hair cut Ive ever gotten. One side is longer than the other. Going to another salon to get it fixed. Ive paid half the price for better cuts.Everyone in there is old. Dont believe the pics on the website. Theyre either fake or havent been updated in ages.So disappointed and my hair looks bad! :(Stay away unless youre into less than average cuts.

Atomic kitten was recommended to me by my daughter. I was able to make a same day appointment for an A-line haircut with Maria. The environment was clean, relaxed and chill. The staff were friendly and professional. Im extremely satisfied with my cut, Maria went above and beyond what I asked for.

Had both of my daughters hair done at the same time by Teanna. They both wanted silver hair and they came out BEAUTIFUL!!!!! A little more pricey than Im used to but considering my daughters had her hair done about 5 different times at other places trying to go silver and everytime she came out with brassy looking hair (She started with a dark blonde to begin with.) I would DEFINITELY go back again.

Worse experience ever! Having an appointment I had to wait over 30 minutes watching Ramona dilly around and take her smoke break. There was no one ahead of me, she just wasted time. And when I finally was seated, she had the most negative energy Ive yet to experience. If you go here dont see Ramona. Wow, horrible!!

I was very disappointed, I went for a bop haircut and immediately I noticed the chair was full of hair and she just rubbed it off with a piece of cloth. She didnt cut my hair with care she just chopped chopped and within 5 min she was done. She also dyed my hair leaving and not cleaning the edges of my forehead . Theyre was purple dye on my forehead. She blowed my hair but never ever putting any serum or anything so my hair was all over . As soon as she was done she immediately went outside for a smoke. No customer service 😕. Ill never go back . I dont want to mention her name but if you go there youll know whom Im talking about

I have going here ever since the hair salon in the mail closed down (Regis). Its the same person who cut my hair before (Tonya). She is really good and has good advise about keeping your hair looking good. Unfortunately since the pandemic they will be closing there doors after Thursday. I dont know when they will be back open.

Overall a great experience at the Atomic Kitten salon. I had my eyebrows micro bladed. Cleanliness was great. Staff were friendly. I feel the salon is a bit spread out and open but I have nothing negative to say about their services or staff.

For being the best place in bakersfield I thought the experience should have been exceptional. After my layers on the top the rest wasnt blended to well. My lady was receptionist also. She was friendly and all but the service all around could have been better.

Went in to get my hair colored purple and cut all the split ends off. I was seated in the room in the back where the lighting was bad, and I had to take off my glasses so they wouldnt get ruined by the bleach or color, therefore I couldnt see much. The stylist started out by telling me she needed to cut my hair before the bleaching, lifting and coloring. If you have ever had your hair bleached to get color applied, then you know that a hair cut happens after all the steps taken to properly color hair because all that chemical treatment fries the ends of your hair. But, she is the hair dresser and Im not, so I foolishly trusted that she knew what she was doing or would take good care of my hair. So she cut an extremely crooked side shave and didnt cut enough of my split ends to even tell that she did anything, of course I couldnt see this because of the bad lighting and I had to keep my glasses off for the hair cut and treatments. Next she bleached my hair then washed it then treated it with a lifter twice to lighten it so the color would be vibrant. After all that it was time for the color. She put the color in and we waited for a bit which didnt seem that long to me for the color to completely saturate, but once again, shes the hair dresser and I assumed she knew what she was doing. She washed my hair again and blow dried it then she made sure she got her $180 and i put my glasses on and saw some spots on the front of my hair that she missed with the color but not the bleach, she got a bit irritated that I pointed that out and just smeared a touch of color in my hair and sent me on my way and didnt even give me a mirror to look at the back or the shaved portion. When I got home and I checked it out and saw the disaster. Bleached hair that didnt get coverage, side shaved portion is extremely crooked, what was once 1to 2 inches of split ends is now 5 inches of damage. When I called to talk to the manager, the manager acted like it was all my fault and refused to give me any amount of refund what so ever.

I went to get my hair cut and I specifically asked if they had somebody who knew how to cut curly hair and they said yes and they charge more if your hair is wet than dry and they said they gave me a price on the phone and they never did it and they charge me $40 for a haircut that I did not ask for I asked for it to be at my chin it is all the way up my cheekbones I asked for it to be all the way around and they Did not do that they cut it down words for my back is not even with all my hair I’m very disappointed and very upset because I asked specifically if they had somebody who knew how to cut curly hair and they didn’t even do the right cut that I want if you have curly hair I suggest you do not go here

Great staff and super cool atmosphere. The owner Bonnie is really friendly and Cassie has been helping us for a couple years now. This place makes you feel like one of the cool kids .. even if your not!!!

I was going for a 60s look for my wedding day. Complete disaster!! Rhonda did my makeup and it was nothing like the photo i showed her. I could have did my own makeup. My contour was horrible, cat eyes were so thick from All her mistakes.I came here because they specialize in the vintage look, I would not recommend anyone here.

The owner is rude, I went in today with my sister and my daughter (she’s 2) she wasn’t being bad inside at all. Anytime she would get slightly rowdy I would step outside with her immediately.. she threw a tantrum OUTSIDE on the public sidewalk... the owner had the nerve to pull the stylist aside and ask her to let me know that my kid wasn’t welcomed there again next time because she was annoyed with her. It sucks because I’ve been going to this place for a while and loved the stylist’s work but that was just rude especially because as a mom it’s already hard enough getting to do stuff. Seriously never going back, extremely disappointed at the owners customer skills.

This has been my favorite salon in my entire life, so much so that even though I moved to Texas, I wait to get my hair done until I visit Bakersfield. I especially love doing vibrant interesting colors, and Maria has been the best colorist I have ever seen.

When I explained that I was going to use Groupon she stopped responding to my texts! UNPROFESSIONAL! Wish my sister in law could get a refund on her Groupon, what a rip off.

I was researching the best places in Bakersfield to get my hair done. I came across this place and started reading reviews to make sure this is the place I wanted to go. I started following the salon on Instagram and came across this girl named Cas. I looked through the salon pictures and loved her hair photos so I started to follow her on Instagram. I had an appointment a week before my wedding to go from blonde to purple. I am soo glad I went to her!! She exceeded my expectations and I will deff be going back!!!
