Ive been doing business with Enterprise for many years at the Bakersfield downtown facility. I love the customer service and they always are so pleasant, but the last 2 times Ive rented there and I require a ride home, they tell me they cant accommodate me cause my residence is out of their area! I dont like going anywhere else, but I guess next time I need a rental I will take my business elsewhere...😔

Was super fast turning in. We had reserved picking up and took longer than expected but they also had what we originally wanted so that was a nice surprise.

Im highly disappointed in how your company treats their customers. Customer service was extremely rude. Instead of treating me like a human being they acted as if I was a criminal trying to run a scam. They tried to go against the contract stating that I need to return my car a day earlier then expected when the contract I signed said the next day. They even charged my card a day earlier then expected so my card declined I then transferred funds onto the card and tried to extend my rental but the manager told me that I couldnt do that because she already charged my account and it declined. I told her that I just transferred funds and to try it again and she refused and said I need to return there car immediately or they would take further action. Im confused to why Im being treated like this. Especially when my contact doesnt even expire until the next day. Im a very popular social media personality and I will definitely let everyone know how you guys treat your customers and dont even follow your own contract. Im highly upset and I will definitely not return to this establishment especially if you guys are treating people with such disrespect. Never in my life did a company not follow their own contract. This is unbelievable!!!

Great place to rent a car great customer service.

We always choose Enterprise because of their quality service. Our car was clean, reliable and there was no unexpected fees. My only complaint is that they couldnt rent us a larger vehicle for our trip but everything about the one we got was fantastic.

Although the Tehachapi Office is closed because of CO-Vid the downtown Enterprise team has us not regretting making the trip to Bakersfield for the rental. Staff was professional and no hassles at all. We just pulled up and within 10 min we had the rental! Completing all the information prior on-line simplified the contract. Very special thanks to Jake. Very dedicated, professional and pleasant.

Saul the supervisor and Daniel one of the employees did such a great job for me and my wife after being struct by a driver who ran a Red light, they cared to get us into something me and my family would fit clean suv wanted us to make sure it was an easy process and send us home In a timely manner. Quick easy and clean cars. Did my check in online and paid with my bank debit card. All I had to do was show drivers license check car for dents or dings initial here a few times and I was in my rental and on my way.

I went to Enterprise Rent-A-Car on 24th Street in Bakersfield, CA through my insurance. Zach was very friendly and helpful when I went to pick up the car, and was able to accommodate the pick-up of the rental from the body shop where my vehicle was fixed. Excellent service! Will always get my rentals from this location!

I was pleased with the check-in, quick and efficient. The vehicle was the type I needed but hastily cleaned (in other words not completely). There was a faint smell of smoke that I had to endure during the week of rental. I have had better experiences with Enterprise.

I have rented from Enterprise for all my car rental needs when needed. My experience at the the downtown location in Bakersfiled Ca. was awful customer service. I booked my rental with my job because of the discount. I received the email confirming my pick up, rate, and vehicle.When I arrive to pick up the vehicle, I was told the Tahoe I reserved is unavailable and I had to down size. Then when we did a walk around the vehicle there was mud still around the back sides, the inside was dirty still on the mats, the seat had dust and debris, the cargo was not vacuumed.When I talked the worker about the rate and a smaller vehicle, his response was You pay same rate.I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and it is SAD to see how bad companies accept workers to make paying customers feel unappreciated. Even though customers are the reason why companies are able to keep their doors open.

They are unbelievably compassionate people and have been so flexible. Very loyal company, loyal to me. You cant say that about a lot of business.

Overall an ok experience. Rented a big 15 passenger van online which said available. Next day get call not available. Note: drove by lot day before and 4 on lot. So I tweet my disappointment. Get a response via Twitter. Little while later, get a call that a van is available. Told 3:30 van should be ready. Also even more vans on lot. Van not ready til 4:15. So have to wait in heat when 3 exact vans are available, but they offer me an older model and no room for my family. So finally get van, but when do walk through you dont look inside just outside for dents / scratches. Load the van for a week trip. We get to a stop for restroom and my mother nearly falls out of van cause handle on (side) door is broken and no handle on other door. We find a handle underneath a row of seats and broken handle only had 1 screw. So had to go to Home Depot to buy screws. Van ran nice.

You can use your debit car to rent a car with a 2 hundred dollar refundable deposit and good customer service only gave it for stars because the lobby was closed but there was no where for us to sit outside.

It was super easy to pick up car and drop off. Prices were fair. Friendly staff at downtown office. I will definitely use them again if I need a rental!

They were great when our insurance used them to give us a temporary car after our accident. The car was clean and the staff were all really nice. But this past experience is pretty disappointing. My fiance and I had a trip planned for our anniversary and booked a car the night before. I knew it would be pretty difficult to find a car on such short notice, but their website let me make a reservation. The next morning before we are about to leave they call and say they do not have any cars left...we had to rush to get our own car fixed so we could still drive to the beach. It was too late to cancel our hotel reservation. I recommend they update their website and make sure no one is able to reserve a car if there are no more available.

Great customer service! The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The car was clean and I didnt even have to fill it up upon return; although I know this is an exception I was thrilled! It was very, very easy to make a reservation online and when I walked in I was helped immediately! If Id wanted to keep the car longer I could have done so on the phone. And, they have a pick-up/drop-off service, which I utilized. The driver was friendly and we had a nice conversation. Overall, a very well-run car rental company and its no wonder why they are worldwide. Downtown Bakersfield Enterprise is #1!

Enterprise Downtown Bakersfield helped me tremendously at a time when I had had some pretty bad experiences that week with other car rental agencies. They not only let me use the card I wanted to but they gave me an upgrade and when I broughtthe car back they gave a ride home without waiting so long. I will rent from them again.

It was some shade port with three chairs in it and no employees I sat down first man walks up and tells me, you cant sit there.:(Another man came along I think his name was Justin. Took great care of me gave me a choice of three trucks checked everything out You should be proud of that employee.

Mostly everyone there is nice and professional..... Everyone except one guy (I dont know his name, and havent rented a car in awhile so not sure if he still works there) but he was (I dont know how to say this nicely)... Very rude to my husband. He said something about him renting a car with Green Dot Card like my husband was lower than low because we didnt have a fricken credit card. Havent been there since.

Easy to rent, they brought me a car to the body shop within minutes of arriving. Then picked it up when I was done!!

This is the worst customer service that anyone could experience. I had an appointment booked at 11:30 and when I came to this location the representative said that I couldn’t get a car until 1:30 then they changed the time to 2. They are unprofessional and seem to discriminate. The employees are lazy and unwilling to do there jobs. I was told that it would be to much work walking in and out of the building so that they could check the rates, then they asked me to come back in an hour and a half. I gave my reservation appointment and he just ignored me and started helping other people.

Fast and easy. Car was reserved a head of time. I spent less than 10min walking inside and driving off. Young man was very helpful and made sure I was comfortable and satisfied before I drove off. No problems with car ... Just made me want to upgrade my personal car. Returning car was just as fast. I had no appointment and different young man was just as helpful and drove me to my personal car. More than satisfied. Thank You!

I recently started using a rental on a regular basis. Ever since the 1st experience, Enterprise has been nothing but accommodating. Insuring that I know -ahead of time- what is expected of me and what I should expect of them upon my arrival. All staff is always pleasant, courteous and helpful. I would recommend Enterprise on 24th Street to anyone in need of their services.

Customer service was great!! Car could have been cleaner had to clean the windows there was a film on the inside.

Loved my car!! Again, check in is so difficult. I rented in Nov, again in Dec, and now in Feb (same store, less than 3 miles from my home). Again needed pay stub, utility bill, and insurance card (at least they didnt call my agent this time). Also needed 2 references, my work phone number and my bosses name. Oh, and wanted to know if I owned or rented my home. Each item taking time as he finger typed them into the computer. The only other issue I had was that I had reserved my car a few days in advance. While I was giving all my information at pickup a guy comes in, off the street, asking about certain cars and how much to rent. The worker tells him that car goes for 74 dollars a night, but I can give it to you for 55?? Its negotiable???? He also told him 20 dollars for insurance for said car, but my guy charged me 25 for my 52 dollar a night car? Everyone is super nice, its just a pain.

Car reaked of cigarettes, and the window were very dirty on the inside and were very bad while night driving, car seriously needed an oil change drove good until you were going up hill then you could feel it heavy

I had rented at Enterprise multiple times economy and upper grade cars for lots of years without ever having any problemThis time the Nissan Versa I rented had no power at all, on top of that when I returned this car Sunday December 29 they blamed and framed me for a big dent that looks old an its not really visible because its under the passenger door frame which they called rocker panel that I didnt do and they put a claim against me. Since then about 7 friends have told me Enterprise did the same to them.If you ever rent a car MAKE SURE YOU BEND DOWN AND LOOK UNDER THE CAR for previous not noticeable damages. Even more take video and pictures of the car so this doesnt happen to you.

The customer service was great and the rental process was simple.

The check in and return process was very quick, which is always the choke point at a car rental place. If I can get in the door and driving out in 15 minutes or less I consider it a good experience. The cars are always well kept and reliable, I like their selection of different sizes but the insurance is expensive when compared to the actual rental cost.

Were very accommodating. Made sure I did not need anything. Young lady that helped me was down to earth and real helpful. Other than the car being dirty inside and out a bit I would definitely go with them again. Great team.

I had an appointment with Enterprise to be picked up at work by 5:00pm - a young man arrived on time. He mentioned he had been working for Enterprise for about 6 mos. We had a nice conversation about his relocating to Bakersfield with his parents. What surprised me was when he took out his phone at the stop light and starting texting someone.Upon arrival I was to receive something comfortable to my Toyota Camry. Well after waiting only about 5 minutes the young man told me they were out of cars and the car I should have received was rented out to someone else. The manager came over and informed me they had a Dodge SUV if I wanted that instead of a car. Well, I had to expect it if I wanted to drive off in a vehicle that evening. When the young man and I went out to inspect the Dakota it was very dirty and on empty 😮 he said sorry but sometimes we dont have time to detail and fill the tank..... SERIOUSLY? I asked and he said its good on gas and should get you were you are going.Who rents a car like that?

I must say that Enterprise has been the best Car Rental Company for a long time now. I used to travel every week from coast to coast and everywhere in between for work. Enterprise was the choice then and they still are today. This particular branch is very attentive to details from picking you up on time to ensuring that the car you reserved is clean and ready to go.

This particular location makes it really hard to rent with a debit card. Try Avis/Budget. They areHelpful if you reserve early and look up there discount codes you will save a lot. I got a car full sized 3 day weekend for 58 dollars hard to beat. Wouldnt use enterprise. Sorry I spent so much money with them over the years. Had to get a rental. When my insurance carrier sent me there. I received a damaged car internally. When I returned it I got accused of doing it! wow still fighting it not paying bill

The car was easy to use very user friendly. The staff was very helpful. I am taking one star off because the windows on the inside were so dirty you could barely see out of them when I picked up the car. I dont think I should have to clean the windows inside and out when I rent a car. That is the responsibility of the car rental agency.

Very disappointing service. We reserved a full size car. When we arrived to pick it up, we were told they could give us a small truck, which was not at all what we wanted. This was a one way rental to the Bay area, and they said that not all their cars can go one way. We were given a Toyota Corolla, which was OK with us, but the car was filthy. It ran well and had decent tires, but it smelled and was unpleasant. Fortunately, the agent on the drop off end in Mill Valley CA was very understanding and empathetic and asked what she could do to make it up to us. I asked her for a $50 refund on the cost of the rental, and she was happy to provide that. Excellent service in Mill Valley. With several other options available in Bakersfield, we wont be renting from this franchise again.

Were in town for golf tournament and used this facility because of location. Staff was very attentive to needs. The renting agent took the time to point out the features of the Impala Sport and benefit of selecting this vehicle. Met all of our needs during our visit and was same level of excellent service received at other Enterprise locations across the country.

Many, many moons ago I used the location on Ming Ave, I even purchased a 2005 Dodge Ram from them and still have it. That location has gone the way of the dodo bird...! I now use this location whenever I need to rent a vehicle from Enterprise. Their staff is friendly and does a very good job getting you in the right vehicle. If you are lucky and happen to get Jonathan he will take great care of you. This young man has outstanding customer service skills, he is very friendly & takes care of business in a most professional manner.

I had been to many of the other offices and they dont come anywhere near the care, warmth, and professional services. Mrs. Michelle you and all your staff; love yall. We needed a car for Monday April 29th, we need to leave at 4 am to reach our destination by 9 am so we had to pick up the car on Sunday before 2 pm. We returned the car Monday at 4:30 pm and asked if we are going to be charged for an extra day? Yes we were told you did not return it by 2 pm, we said it isnt our fault you close at two on Sunday we had no choice but to pick it up early. Not only was this unfair but the representative was rude. We have used Enterprise numerous time recently and after this encounter we will choose another agency.

I rented through a third party that said to pick up at 12 pm on a Sat. It turns out they close at 12 on Saturdays!!! I was lucky they let us in and then gave me an upgrade!!! Very awesome customer service!

I would like to think Britney Smith and I forgot the name of the other lady who help me she sacrificed her day to help me during my fire season .Both of these ladies helped me during their time off showing their true dedication to their customer service. I rented a car for 4 day weekend, brought it back gassed up on time but the floor mats had a few pet hairs on them, well they wanted to charge me $100 dollars or go vacuum it myself. I had to go pay $20 more dollars over a few animal hairs on the mats. $20 on top of $404. REDICULOUSE ! HERTZ Is so much better!4

Service was quite good although the prices (even with Corporate Discount) was not very competitive. Also I had to pay $100 extra for dropping the car at LAX (but I guess this is Industry standard). The Asst. Manager Benjamin was really very helpful.

Enterprise rent a car is always so simple and easy yo use. I suggest booking in advance to ensure the car you are looking for. The staff is extremely kind and curtious and even remembers my name when I return for a future rental. I even got a free upgrade because the car size I ordered was not returned on time. Horrible experience!! They dont deserve a star!! I will never go back to this enterprise.. They treat their customers like crap! I went in for a rental after being in a accident. They called me and said they had a car ready for me to pick up. I get there and guess what?! They give me a dirty car on empty.. Then they apologize and give me another car with the seat built completely ripped! Arent they suppose to inspect their vehicles?! (Those were my exact thoughts.) Next they put me in a F-150 and the truck is on a flat tire.. They air it up, however as soon as I get home, Im on another flat. I call they say you have to take it to go get fixed at a local Firestone. What a joke.. I take it in.. After being in a car accident here I am fixing enterprises flat.. I never got a thank you but they sure did call to tell me Im over my limit and will have to pay if I dont take the vehicle back.. Im beyond disappointed due to the fact that they never took accountability nor did they apologize.. Ever! I mentioned it again after dropping the vehicle off- the manager never came out after the worker went in and told him about my experience. He never showed his face.. im sure corporate will be happy to hear from me!

I only take my rental needs here because they always have what i need and when i need. Tried with their competitors only to leave without a rental. Enterprise has never had a problem with having a car when needed. They even got me a rental a day early when i reserved it on the wrong day. Top notch service.

I really enjoy working with the staff at the 24th street Bakersfield location. My only down fall this time around was that I wanted to pay cash when turning in the rental and they would only allow me to pay $100 cash. I understand they must follow their policies, I just wish someone would have informed me prior. I walked in with the keys, cash and my license. I would have better prepared.

Go somewhere else! I got in an accident and the drivers insurance covered a rental through Enterprise. They offered the insurance but I couldnt afford it on account of my situation with my accident. The car they gave me had expired tags! When I called and let them know, they said they had the new tags and would have someone drive them out the following day and put them on the car, but they never came. I got pulled over by a cop for the expired tags and when he ran them they saw they were up to date and let me go. After I got pulled over a second time for the same reason, I called them to ask about the tags and they said they were waiting for them to come in the mail. So I was lied to in the first place.When I brought the car back they said there was damaged to the front bumper that wasnt there originally. A dent the size of a marble with a little scratch and they are wanting me to pay $500.00 for repairs. Never recommending them to anyone. Next time, Im going to go to Hertz which is a block away and have more selection.

Great service at this Enterprise, even though we walked in dirty and smelling to high heaven from a backpacking trip. There were lots of people filling the small lobby, but they quickly helped us all, with a smile. Highly recommend.
