You have to remember they are volunteers!! Sid Stewie is an actual CPA! I AM having trouble locating him. He did my taxes the last 3 year an I had no problems. My dad also used him. He is the real true CPA!!

I have been coming here to get my taxes done for years now.Yes expect to wait, this is a free service. I’m reading a lot of reviews coming from people that come off as extremely unappreciative. If you want to be treated with amazing customer service/ a king/queen I recommend H&R Block, or any other taxes place that will charge you for their service.Thank y’all for the help guys each and every year I have been here.

Today I am getting ready to fill again but I had some last min. questions on what I should bring in for a specific reason. They are so helpful, they didnt rush me off the phone they answered my question and now Im set not having to go there and then find out what I needed... great customer services guys thanks for all your help this year...:)

Horrible experience they are very under trained to do ITIN renewals and taxes ... When I first got to the help desk the lady upfront stated I need to do my taxes first before I update my wifes ITIN #, which is false because once you file thats it there is no correcting anything that was the first LIE I was told by the tax guru. So after 2 hours I get called to tax preparer desk. My wife knows her itin # and has an up to date passport and we get told that we can not file unless she has her old itin documents, but when I called the IRS myself I was told all my wife needs is her passport and itin #, so basically the tax preparer was lying to me . In addition a gentleman came out and said the program they use Tax Slayer went down yes TAX SLAYER not there own software. To make a long story short please DO NOT come to this place a total waste of time, they use tax Slayer which you can do at home. Me personally I am not the one to complain but poor customer service and little tax education is not acceptable, they may act like they know taxes but they DO NOT.

I walked into Community Financial Center North for tax preparation yesterday. The wait area was very loud and crowded with the expected social/community help dismal environment and peoples cast down vibes - workers and clients alike. There was a several hour wait so I decided to schedule instead and inquired about medical coverage. Today I had an extremely unpleasant experience when a worker or volunteer for Community Financial Services called me to schedule a tax preparation appointment. She was unprofessional, frustrating, and hostile. Ill find a job with overpriced benefits I hardly use, or pay more in taxes, and stick to turbo tax!

This is a free service and the staff is composed of volunteers, they dont get to get a proper meal until the end of the day, which often comes at around 9 p.m.May they continue to have the strength to serve those who have the need for their gift.

I didnt mind the wait, which was kinda long (hey, its free), but when I finally got my chance, the tax prep person saw that I had airbnb income and flat out said he/they were not prepared to tackle short term rental income (I forget the reason). So, if you do short term rental (I think it was form 1099K that nixed it) dont bother. This was last year, things may have changed by now, dunno, cant get an answer from them, no one knows...
