Mr. Johnson has been doing my family and business taxes for years and he by far the best accountant in Austin. He knows the tax laws and he has an awesome sense of humor.

We have used Duane Johnson for many years for both our business and personal CPA needs. We drop off our documents quarterly, he takes care of our accounting needs and returns a profit and loss statement. At tax time, he has everything he needs to take care of our personal and corporate tax returns. I recently bought an existing business that needed work with IRS & Comptrollers office. He gladly handled everything for me. Wouldnt go anywhere else!!

Duane Johnson is a diamond in the rough. He is extremely thorough and has the most reasonable prices I’ve ever seen. He loves his clients like family & works hard for them. Duane Johnson is one of the best.. He truly cares about each of his clients, which makes him even better at what he does. He is very thorough and will help you with ANY issues you may have. Many of his clients are now great friends because he does develop such great relationships. He does not advertise much at all and does not check online reviews to be honest, because all he needs is word of mouth which is why so many of his clients are referrals. And not only is he a wonderful human but he is also smart as a whip!

Go somewhere else!!!Mr. Johnson took 2 1/2 months to file our taxes! My husband and I filed separately, having just gotten married, and it took FOREVER! We had to call every 2 weeks for an update on the status, no one ever returned our phone calls and we could rarely get a person on the phone. When I finally got a-hold of someone when calling mid June, I asked why it was taking so long to file our easy returns? I was told by the receptionist that they were filing electronically for the first time this year & that they ran into several glitches in the system. Thats a BS answer if I ever heard one. When I told her that one of us was coming to get our paperwork, Mr. Johnson apparently decided it was time to file for us. Hed received our paperwork the first day or two of April and it was now mid June. So when my husband showed up to gather the documents, Mr. Johnson was scrambling to file them... And so he did. At this point, not only was he extremely late, the staff including himself were totally unprofessional for the time frame of the return & lack of response to follow-ups, but he screwed us out of a few new returns we both qualified for in our new house and our rental property. Now Im refiling, my husband probably will, too.Thanks Mr. Johnson for taking forever to file our taxes and screwing them up.

Never knew anyone could care for my finances as much as Duane. He may take longer than others but he knows what he is doing and is not satisfied until my tax liability is as low as possible. And all of this for a reasonable fee. Hes the best!

HORRENDOUS experience. HORRENDOUS customer service…if you can call it that.Mr. Johnson filed our taxes for 2014. Due to the lack of information he provided on our Marketplace Insurance, we received letter after letter from the IRS. I tried relentlessly to reach out to him via phone calls and email to no avail. I finally received a letter from the IRS letting me know they never received my individual tax return (my husband and I filed jointly)…so I tried calling and emailing yet again. I even had my mother call. Not one single word back. I have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional in my life. Not only did he not handle our taxes correctly for 2014, he left us without proper guidance for 2015. I have since found an amazing CPA and have moved on and have yet to hear a word from this man, and I know I never will. Absolutely atrocious way to run a business. 0 stars.
