Had a wonderful experience with my doggo. We went in due to nail becoming detached from her paw and bleeding everywhere. It was the first time I’ve had to bring her to an ER and the staff was more than happy to make us feel comfortable, even allowing Sheeba to lay on a blanket they let us borrow. The vet was also very informative about what was about to happen and after care instructions. The price for bringing her in also felt so reasonable. I was prepared to spend so much more. But I will definitely be back if needed.

Dr. Laura Vasquez, head of neurology, took in Gypsy trying to find what neurological issue she had. After X-rays, MRI , CT scan, she found nothing. Rather than giving up, Dr. Laura stayed until after 7 at night doing different tests that were out of her scope, on Gypsy, determined to find the diagnosis. She finally found a rare condition that is fatal if not treated. Thank you Dr. Laura for saving my dog’s life. Thank you Central Texas Vet Specialty for treating us so well at a time of desperation.

The first time we took our dog here they didn’t conduct simple tests and missed a broken vertebra, which led to extensive spinal surgery and our being being partially paralyzed. I will say they were friendly and quick to get her in though. The second time we took her for a split ear (a dog we were fostering attacked her), I was dreading it but they were the closest place and they were great that time! They were very friendly and got her in quickly and stitched up. It seems they’ve really stepped up or corrected previous issues in the past year!

Wow, the staff is very professional, courteous and they support the local wildlife by working closely with Wildlife Rescue (non profit/201C3). Late Sunday evening I found a wild duck with a fishhook in its eye and beak, Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin was open and able to remove both (treble) hooks without any damage the ducks eye; wildlife rescue then returned the duck to its natural habitat. Sincerest thanks and appreciation to Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin for going above and beyond.

When my sweet little Baylee got sick, the team at CTVSEH took such good care of her! Dr. Simmonds and everyone on every shift we’re so compassionate. Baylee was hospitalized for 10 days with acute renal failure and I’m not sure she would have pulled through if not for Dr. Simmonds care. While I hope no pet ever needs to go to the ER, but if they do ... don’t hesitate to use CTVSEH!

The bedside manners of the cashier/front desk person are terrible. Last night I had to put my dog down. After ringing the euthanasia doorbell, she came bursting into the room twice, curtly asking for payment without the slightly sense of compassion. Im not asking for her to cry with me or act like this is anything new, but a little common courtesy would have been appreciated: a quiet knock, an Im sorry for your loss but wed like to handle payment now, a tone that didnt come off as super abrasive, anything to show an ounce of compassion during an emotionally traumatic and difficult time. That said, Dr. Soreng-Robbins was fantastic. She clearly laid out our options, was compassionate, offered plenty of time to say our goodbyes, and overall was wonderful to work with.

This place has been our go to since we moved to Austin a year ago, we have brought all of our animals for emergency visits. This week we had to bring in my baby dachshund once again for a herniated disc. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude, Sophie (Sophia?) We ended up having to take my baby home and follow up with our main vet and ended up having to put her down. I am not posting this to get her fired, i also dont know what was going on in her life. If you are going to work at an animal ER plus the night shift, you need to have a small bit of compassion. We got out of our bed, scared that we were loosing our dog and walked in to being treated like dirt on the floor. She was rude the entire process. At one point i was crying and she said look can you just tell me why you are here already I really hope this is looked into and further training is provided. All of the doctors we have seen and the techs are amazing and caring. I hope that we dont have anymore animal emergencies but if we do, we will still come here.

Horrible experience start to finish! Came directly from my primary vet to get an ultrasound of my dogs liver due to elevated liver enzymes mainly to determine if she has cancer or not. My vet wanted to rule out cancer before performing other treatments that might not be warranted to save on cost. This was the first thing I told the front office staff, the technician and Karen Burns, DVM. Instead of telling me upfront that they can not do the US till the next morning they go ahead and “exam” her which consisted of reading off blood values that my vet sent over for 2 minutes tops. They then wanted to keep her overnight for some absurd price so they could run the US in the morning. I declined and will get the US with my primary vet for a much cheaper rate. I expressed my concern that I should have never been seen if they had no intention of performing the US that night. The DVM said sorry I have to charge an exam fee or my boss will be upset. Bottom line is they conned me into paying an exam fee which I honestly don’t feel like they even performed. They should have told me at the very beginning that they couldn’t do the US that night and I would have left no harm done. No transparency and horrible communication to make sure they get that exam fee. Wish I could leave 0/5 stars.

I am giving 3 stars because the Dr.s here are great and usually the front staff are very nice. I have to say after spending thousands of dollars between here and the round rock location I would expect the front desk staff to be a little more friendly. I will also say the round rock staff is much nicer. Usually when you come to an emergency center it’s because their is a situation that can not wait till the following day and it’s an urgent and emotional matter. I have never been treated with such disrespect as I was tonight by Sophie. She needs a lesson is customer service and she should take some kind of class teaching her human and animal compassion. The medical field isn’t the place for her. Warning everyone not to have contact with her and you will probably have a great experience.

I cannot say enough good things about CTVSEH. I have been to the North location on multiple occasions with different pets with different needs. Each time, I was treated in a respectful and nonjudgmental manner. I have called them in the middle of the night to ask for advice and reassurance and they have always been helpful.I see a few reviews that say this clinic is money hungry or they only care about money, but I have found this to be completely false on multiple visits. They have had opportunities to make money off of me, and they did not take advantage. They gave me the help I needed, when I needed it, and were clear and straightforward. This will always be our go-to clinic for emergency needs and when my regular vets office is closed.

I am now on hour four of waiting. I was in the lobby for almost three but understood they were busy (lobby was so full I didn’t have anyplace to sit for the first 30-40). So I get that part. But I’ve been in an examining room now more than an hour. The only acknowledgment I’ve gotten is a tech who came in, apologized for the wait (appreciated that acknowledgement at least), took weight and temp. Had concerns that my cat was clearly not feeling well but once she took my cat back to see the vet brought her back saying she was stable and so I had to wait in queue some more. I’m now on 40 minutes since then with no end in sight and my anxiety about my cat on high. How is is this good or humane? For me or my cat? After the protracted wait, things improved. The vet was very empathetic, articulated his concerns after a physical check and now I’m waiting for results that I suspect are not going to be happy ones. I’ve updated the rating and add the caveat that I probably wasn’t in the best headspace given what I expect the prognosis to be.

I was one day from a trip to Mexico with a sick puppy at home. My Vet recommended this hospital to board and treat my pup while I was out of town. The initial estimate was a multiple day stay and a $2500.00 deposit to cover those expenses. I was in shock and left for the holiday bummed at the expense. After day 3 of treatment my pup was released and the final bill was about 1/3 of the estimate. They took great of my pup and maintained a tight budget. I could not be more thankful. This place killed my dog. Do not ever go here. Drive to their south location even but don’t ever go here. I came in with my dog obviously having seizures. They claimed she never had one (they were on going right in front of the vet, tall lady with a brown bob) and that she just had aspirated her breakfast and her throat was bothering her. So they gave her some pain medicine through injection and then prescribed me 2 pills to give her. Why the hell would you give a dog with a red irritated throat PILLS to take. I was in a state of panic and was just rushed out the door and slapped with a $350 bill. 10 minutes after getting home my dogs seizures started getting worse and worse so I called them back asking if I should bring her in. They claimed there was nothing more they could do at this location because they didn’t have a scope to put down her throat or nose. (total lie I found out once getting to the south location) So after getting the equivalent of a verbal shrug from this emergency vet I RACED 20 minutes (I love right by this location) and sat in traffic with my dog SUFFOCATING. I ran into the south location where they had to immediately run her back to stick a tube down her throat because she was choking to death. The south location was SO CONFUSED why this location said they couldn’t help anymore. They were so confused the medicine they gave her before. So we are 5 hours after her first seizure and they’re coming so often they have her in constant pain and confusion as her BRAIN disconnects from her body constantly. She has to be put down soon after that. If she had gotten the correct treatment right away we could have gotten her seizures under control. But they got to the point of her needing to be put down because of the neglect this location caused. Oh also the blonde chick at the front with lots of mascara is an awful human. She never greats you when you enter or says a word when you come back from an exam room. Worst attitude I’ve ever dealt with in a vet clinic. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO DIE.

He needed CPR and they conducted it and Elvis made it through. He stayed overnight and they called us at 1 am to give an update on his progress. We were able to visit the next day and the vet gave us updates. He stayed another night and, again, they kept us informed the entire time. He was able to come home today. I brought my dog in late at night, close to midnight and she was taken to the back immediately. They were quick to come up with a treatment plan and had her stay overnight. They took me in the back so I could say bye for the night before I went home and ensured they would take care of her and update me if anything came up. I woke up the next morning from a call from my mother who had received a call from them. Apparently, with how shooken up I was I wrote down my phone number wrong so they had to contact my home vet when they opened to get my emergency contact number. Throughout the night her health deteriorated. When I spoke with the doctor she asked me to come in as soon as I could. On my drive there she passed. While I am really happy with the overall performance from this place with how they took care of my dog I am pretty upset with the fact that they didnt double check my phone number before I left or asked for an emergency contact on the forms I filled out. Had they done this I would have been able to be with her when she passed. I will be using this facility again for my pets, but I am going to make sure they have a way to contact me even if that means giving them 10 phone numbers.

Not my first visit, unfortunately. These guys had to put down a dog of ours a few years back, then send me a sweet condolence card - something my regular Vet had never done. Last Sunday, I brought my gravely injured cat to them. They took the cat in the back right away, only after that handed me papers to fill out - hurt kitty didnt have to wait for administrative part to be finished. When a doctor finally saw me, she was sweet and compassionate, said all the right things to me. We decided that my old cat could not be saved, and I chose to be there for the procedure. That doctor returned, gently cradling my kitty, heavily drugged by them to control the pain of the injury. Explained to me whats already been done, let me decide when I was ready... Told my kitty what a good cat he is... I chose to take the body with me, so she took him away, returned him all boxed up. Again, said all the right things. And 2 days later there was another sweet condolence card in my mailbox.

This facility is very close to us and one of our dogs was frequently doing something or the other that required immediate attention so we visited this place many times. Staff are generally pretty good. Vets are excellent. I didnt find the prices unreasonable, given that they are available 24/7. All the vets we dealt with were very sharp, and much more informed than our regular vet. For example, we took one of our dogs in after an injury and mentioned she was on special eye drops due to swelling of her eyelids which our regular vet thought was due to some condition. The emergency vet seemed puzzled by our regular vets diagnosis and commented that our dogs condition was more likely caused by an inability to make tears (or a blockage of the tear ducts).

This location has bad customer service and seems overly profit-minded. We took in a very ill stray dog on a weekend, and this was the closest place which was open. We phoned ahead and were told that they could take care of the dog overnight and turn her over to the local no-kill shelter Monday morning. But when we arrived, they told us they only accepted dogs for overnight care with severe trauma. The stray we brought in was sick and malnourished, but not in bad enough shape to be taken in.The technicians seemed very confused when I said I wanted to see a veterinarian anyway. I had to sign financial responsibility forms to state that I was willing to pay for services before they would take us in. I was able to pay, but I felt like this is something they should have told me about on the phone, instead of just saying I could drop her off.We ended up keeping the stray dog for two weeks before finding her a permanent home. But in the future, I will not return to this location. I will travel to the emergency animal hospital in Round Rock if I need future emergency pet care, and use my regular veterinarian for all other appointments.

The reasoning is described above.tthe woman at he front was unbelievably disrespectful and failed to communicate appropriately the situation withan unprofessional attitude. It was a very sad situation having to request a supervisor because the front less lady would not allow me to speak after she did. Spoke over me. Then she decides to deliberately interrupt me. It was obvious she cannot handle emergency situations professionally and appropriately. If I could give a review for medical skills and knowledge, it would easily be a 5 star. However, I am upset about the strong lack of communication and the lie that took place from one of their employees. From start to finish, this facility shows a lack of communication. Not once, not twice, but three times was I handed an EXTENSIVE bill that was not communicated AT ALL. They make sure to call you and give you updates with what is happening clinically but fail just about every time (until you make a ruckus, kind of) to communicate financially. After my animal had been here for 3 days, I went to go visit him and walked in to a $4000 bill (had already paid $2000) that was not communicated with me. I was called 3 times over those initial three days with a $260 charge and 2 $45 charges. The other $1700 was NEVER communicated with me. “We were busy seeing patients” simply just does not justify the lack of communication. They ended up giving a a small discount due to the miscommunication. I was given a phone call 5 days later by a girl at the front desk, Jay, demanding that I pay a bill by that night. After questioning why, she said she would have the doctor call me back to communicate the bill. Jay ended up giving me a call back and apologizing for the misinformation she had given me in the earlier call, stating the doctors computer in the back was lagging and she was not reading the same bill and I was “up to date” as far as bills go. I was called two days after this conversation with another medical update and the doctor stated I owed $2000. I questioned the bill (since I was up to date 2 days earlier) and he said he could not explain because he was not there full time. So another doctor called me the next day, Dr. Wilson, who was disrespectful when communicating which I thought was highly unprofessional, since I am the paying client. The day my animal was getting discharged, the bill was grown to $3000. They spoke to a family member of mine about my bill and Jay DENIED telling me that my bill was “up to date.” She lied! Very unprofessional, whether you are in the wrong or not! I thought that should have been honored, since it came from a mouth of an employee in their office but I was told it was too late to fix that, which I think is unethical and immoral. I was called 2 days after discharge to voice my concerns. I spoke to a lady who appeared to hear me but not change the actions of the office in my situation but stated she is “taking this very seriously and we will be changing the way we will communicate about financials.” I got a phone call from Dr. Clipshaw 3 days after discharge, asking me for an update on Simon. He seemed to be very empathetic and after all the bad, his phone call did bring a small smile to my face. My cat was there for 12 days straight because he was extremely sick so I am sure there was some emotions connected to my fur baby. He stated he appreciated me sticking with it and it was the worst case he had seen in ~15 years. I am very appreciative of the phone call. I am SO thankful that they saved my cat, however, I think communication and honesty could be improved significantly.

They helped put us at ease. It cost an arm and a leg but we were very pleased with the visit. Our dog is gonna be just fine.

Great service despite being pretty crowded when we went in today. Dr Chenault is great!I have a greyhound, which is a breed unlike other breeds when it comes to medical stuff. Greyhounds have a lot of weird quirks and need a vet that understands these quirks. This place was recommended by our greyhound adoption organization and we werent disappointed. It was also more affordable than I expected for a Sunday morning. Thank you for fixing up my baby!!

I just left my dog with not much of an option. I am somewhat new to Austin area and do not understand how that facility operates. After leaving my primary vet, they strongly suggested I take her there for the night. My vet called over and spoke to the vet on staff. I had an IV solution in hand and walked in. The front office girl, young in appearance blonde asked me who I was and why there? I was kind of shocked and did somewhat assume they were expecting me. Not realizing I had to start from the beginning I was confused. Not to get into a long drawn out detail. The receptionists was rude as could be. One size fits all. She ran off and stated I would have to speak to someone else almost immediately . I honestly thought she meant to get me thrown out. I never raised my voice and only asked why she was treating me this way. Why so rude. She didn’t like that. I was just confused, not realizing I was going to need to start from the beginning. I told her the vet called ahead, she said she does not know who I am or what the dogs problem may be. I said I know you wouldn’t, but the vet would. Horrible horrible horrible experience. Already spent a butt load of bank at one place about to drop more. I recommend if you can make the drive and have the time, go to another facility. It cannot be worse. However, I will say this, the doctor, Dr Burns made a difference. And that’s where it. counts I suppose. I was going to pay them to remove the IV and just take my dog back to the main vet in the morning. I’m going to have to do so anyway. She talked me out of it. Concerned for my pup. She was a professional, courteous and knowledgeable. My heart was beating so fast and my dog picked up on it. I had to suck it up and calm down inside myself for the pup. I never raised my voice, just very confused at first. Kinda though it was an extension of the first vet. The receptionist need to perhaps realize we’re not in a normal mind set when walking in. It is for a bad reason most likely. Not to mention money spent. GO ELSEWHERE PLEASE!!!

Dr. Jennifer Jones is amazing! She was upfront (about cost, diagnosis, etc) and very thorough. Always asked if I had any questions for her. My dog took a turn a few hours after our first visit, and she was there for us. We were sent right in and helped almost immediately. I was a wreck, but I felt comforted knowing my dog was in good hands. When I came for my dog the next night, Dr. Jones brought her to me personally. She went over medications, recommendations, and asked if I had questions. Before we left, she sat on the floor and hugged and cuddled my dog and told her she loved her.Thank you, Dr. Jones! You took a terrible situation and made it a little less horrible.Halle & Marley

I do not recommend this place! I went last night with my dog at 3am and we were the only ones in there.. once we were put in the exam room, a nurse came in, looked at my dog for about 30 seconds asked me two questions, and then said he was going to take my dog to the back to have the doctor look at her. -- why wouldnt the vet come to us? Anyway, about three minutes later, he comes back with my dog and says, the doctor is on the phone, it should just be a little while. I waited 30 minutes and finally left. I dont even think the doctor was even in the building! What kind of phone call takes over 35 minutes when you know you have a patient waiting. And why on earth would the doctor not come to us in the first place? The [snotty] girl at the front desk told me it would just be a few more minutes when I told her I wasnt going to wait any longer. Thank god they didnt try to charge me for the visit. Completely absurd.

I have taken both my dog and cat here, since it’s close to where I live. Both experiences left a lot to be desired. Yesterday morning around 5am I brought my dog in because she was having severe gagging fits during which her jaw would lock up. We were put in the triage room fairly quickly, but it took more than twenty minutes of waiting and my dog throwing up blood for someone to come look at her. Long story short - I was sent home with instructions on medication to give her as well as instructions to call a surgeon if this gagging continues because they didn’t have the tools to look in her throat. I had to take her to my normal vet a couple hours later for a day hospital stay because not only was she still gagging - the emergency doctor gave us the wrong dosage instructions (my boyfriend and I both heard her say 10ml, 10ml, 10ml of each medication very clearly) so I gave my dog two doses of lidocaine that were way too high and if I had continued on her instructions instead of bringing her to my vet she would’ve died. $268.When I brought my cat in about a year and a half ago for her second UTI in a month the same doctor told me it was caused by stress from me changing her litter box and charged me $500. A week later I took her to my vet where it was found out that she had severe bladder stones that had to be operated on ASAP.Will not be coming here again.

When my 13-yr-old Airedale mix Andy became lethargic and stopped eating for five days, his regular vet was unable to diagnose the issue with certainty, and suggested it was time to euthanize. I took Andy to the Emergency Animal Hospital for a second opinion. Dr. Johnson knew it was a difficult problem to diagnose. But with persistence, experience and attention to detail, he correctly determined Andy had Addisons syndrome. It was an extremely rare occurrence for a dog that old. Fortunately it was very treatable and Andy was saved. Without Dr. Johnsons dedication, I would have lost him. The staff were all extremely friendly and caring during Andys two-day recovery in the hospital. Thank you so much!

This place needs to close so that a real 24 hour emergency animal hospital can open up.They offer nothing more than supportive care...which means they provide nothing and charge you emergency prices. If you go with an exotic breed they will take your money and then tell you to wait until your normal vet opens and take your pet there. I have had 2 animals DIE at this place and then paid a 1K bill.Even if you feel desperate this will just make you more desperate. They should not trick you into coming offering medical assistance to exotic breeds just to get you there to find out they dont have doctors that deal with anything but cats or dogs.Austin needs a REAL emrgency animal hospital b/c this place is not what they advertise or would have you believe.I am not bitter that my animals passed away, it is inevitable. I am bitter that they refused to let me be with them in their last moments. Horrible place...you can provide the same supportive care in your home b/c it equates to the same effect except you are with your animal.Avoid at all costs, honestly.

Last summer my dog was hit by a car. I rushed her to Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin simply because it was the closest one I could find, and I was new here and didnt really know where anything was.Everyone involved was incredibly calm, cool, and collected - which kept me from completely losing my mind. They were very understanding and allowed me to hold her while they put her down because she had so much brain trauma. They gave me a room to be with her afterward and gave me plenty of time to sit with my dog and say my goodbyes. When time came to leave, they completely prepped her and placed her in bodybag for me.I cannot say enough good things about these people, and I was dealing with them for the first time in of the most traumatic events in my life. First, the best picture of the health and heart condition it will be having an ultrasound scan .This is not an Emergency Hospital . Thats not true because thats the very first thing I confirmed when I walked in the door. I went two days ago at midnight, and this is the worst experience Ive ever had.First of all, the girl at the phone and entrance was a bit abrupt and lack of any empathy or interest in helping. Looks like that girl had enough of working that night. Then, we had been waiting to be attended for more than an hour. We arrived at 11 and the doctor came around 12:30. As an emergency clinic and for the price you have to pay I expected to be attended quickly, and that didnt happen. In the meanwhile my dog was laying on the floor having difficulty breathing, shaking, and suffering a lot of pain. Then after paying 600$ on tests, the doctor while smiling said that she had no idea what was going on, she recommend us to put her on a fluids and morphine and wait till 7am to bring her to my current vet, at that point my dog started to be dehydrated. The initial price for 4 hours of fluids was 500$. We refuse to do it because I cant put my dogs life in a person that is showing a lack of knowledge and showing she wouldnt be able to react properly if my dog would get worst. Paying 1100$ for nothing, aside of being an abuse, its completely unacceptable. When were leaving, one of her assistants told us my dogs temperature went up a little bit. When I got home and I checked the temperature, she was 105,4. That is WAY high and I dont need to be a vet to know that. Also, not mentioning about the background noise, laughs jokes and conversations off topic we had to listen while waiting. There were two guys talking about prices of vultures and how cute they are, looks like they were looking pictures of it on their cell phones. I have been so many times in my current vet and never ever I have been listening laughs and jokes while they were working. Taking in count we were in an Emergency Clinic, I think its the last place where we should listen people having fun, especially when we are waiting more than an hour with a dog in pain. That shows everything but professionalism.I went this morning to put a formal complaint and they dont have any form for doing it. I am waiting for somebody to call me but in the meanwhile, I want to share with everybody such a bad experience and letting everybody know, that maybe the vets are good, but the owners of this business should feel ashamed to take advantage of the animals suffering and the owners desperation. Hospitalizing my dog on my current vet has cost me 20$, catheter 30$, pain medicine 10$, fluids 20$. My vet figured out quickly she had a huge infection in her body. What is the other 420$ you wanted to charge me, uh? What would have happened if I had put my dogs life under your responsibility? I know the answer. This place is a scam, and I wont go never ever again. Shame on these people.

My sweet dog experienced a dog attack over the holidays while visiting Austin and the staff at this hospital were wonderful. They took her back immediately and got her on pain pills. They brought me back into a room within minutes to let me know what they were doing and that theyd have to perform surgery. Once they started the surgery, they realized her physical injuries were more severe and that I would have to take her to a dental emergency vet. They took care of calling the dental vet, getting me an appointment, and explaining to the dental vet all that had happen to my pup. Whether it is their standard practice or not, I felt they went above and beyond and took wonderful care of my girl. The sutures they did were amazing! Maisie could have been left with an awful scowl and possible hole in her snout but the surgeon did a wonderful job and now you can barely tell she was ever injured. My highest recommendation to this facility and staff as they took an awful situation and brought healing and comfort.

A vet tech finally came in to get her info and weight, saw the vomit and diarrhea and didn’t care to clean it up. We sat in that room, hoping to finally be seen by the vet, surrounded by my dog’s vom, diarrhea and blood. No one could even give us an estimated time to be seen, and they seemed bothered that we even asked. Their only response was that we were next (this went on for an hour). All the while we could hear all the vet techs in the room next to us sitting around talking about their weekends. They didn’t care that our dog was sick and in pain. We finally left after waiting nearly 2 hours and they still couldn’t give us an expected time to be seen. I would have understood a long wait if this place was busy, but we were the only ones waiting... Overall there was no excuse to have gotten such poor treatment from an animal hospital. There was absolutely no compassion given towards our sick pup, so we drove all the way to Central Texas Vet Specialty & Emergency Hospital (their sister clinic) and we’re seen right away. I just left this 24 hour clinic and it was lacking in customer service. The only person who seemed sincere at all was the the thin hispanic nurse. My dog got a fish hook caught in his leg while swimming at the Colorado river which is why I took him here. So after the charge of $174.00 dollars to remove this hook from his leg he went poo on the waiting area floor. I informed the lady working the front counter what happened and she seemed put out by it and never offered to clean it up so I asked if I could use her trash can in the waiting area to put the dog poo into and she said yes. about 5 minutes go by and I hear her complain about the smell so the lady getting back from her brake goes into the back and comes out with a broom then mop. While she is mopping he pees on the floor and I simply state that there is a new puddle by the front entrance and the lady mopping gives me a dirty look like she heard me and is put out by this. My poor dog is drugged out and it took 30 minutes after the removal of the hook to get my final bill and all the while I felt uncomfortable in the waiting area. I will never visit this place again and warn those who do to make sure they take there own cleaning materials in case the medication they give your pet causes them to dirty there waiting area. By the way my friend who works at a vet in cedar park said they never allow clients to clean up there dogs accidents and make them feel uncomfortable about it afterwards. About 10 days later i called asking about the ashes and was told...the procedure was to call the owner in two weeks to confirm how the ashes would be taken care of ...I waited and waited, finally called them yesterday and was told...that was not the procedure and my little fellow had already been disposed of without contacting me with what option I wanted....Very very very disappointed....please know if your animal is in serious condition be prepared for decisions, that will tear your heart from your chest....so so very saddened that a phone call from them was not made to allow me to bring him home....

We were sent to a room and a tech came in to check out our pup. She takes him back and told us it would be a while because he wouldn’t sit still (he’s a puppy) and the vetenarian needed to discharge other dogs first. She said it would take nearly an hour and a half which is probably when our primary vet would be open. She said she would give us an e-collar which was super flimsy and two sizes too big. When we were leaving the woman at the front desk said it would be a bit before we can check out. I said check out for what, we weren’t even seen? She said to pay for the e-collar. I put the e-collar on the counter and left. Thankfully we only waisted 40 minutes. To the rude staff - if you hate your job so much, find a different place to work. Ive had 5 rats over the years and have had to help 4 of them end their suffering. I now turn to Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin in order to do so. Last night I brought my 4th little girl, Aloy, to the vet because she had severe tumors that were having an impact on her quality of life. I wish I would have caught the vets name but she was a lovely woman and a fellow lover of rats. She took splendid care of Aloy, making sure that injections would be as painless as possible and would check on her and make sure she was where she needed to be prior to proceeding. She was also very reassuring and overall very kind.In terms of financials - it was about 50% of the cost of other vets in the area. Including my rats regular vet.
