I had an amazing experience here today! The car-side appointment process was so seamless and they were very through in answering all of my questions. It was easy to get an appointment and everyone was very kind!

AM/PM vets / staff are absolutely the kindest most understanding folks in Austin. They were able to see my grumpy 7 year old dog, treat his ear infection and update his vaccines within two days of my appointment request. The entire staff were so kind and gently with dog and made sure he had a good non-traumatic experience with them. They followed up vis phone the day after his appointment and have made themselves available in case he needs another visit.I’m so appreciative and I would recommend this vet to anyone of my friends with pets.

Dr. Parker and her team were so kind and patient with me and my kitty. I was worried about her because her toe looked bloody and I wasnt sure what was wrong with it. The exam was very thorough and the doctor even helped me sort out some other issues that Ive been dealing with for kitty. Everyone, from the vet tech to the front desk ladies were very professional and just warm and friendly. Like another reviewer here said, i used to take my pet to Thrive on Oltorf but Im switching to AM/PM instead. I love the individual care that AM/PM was able to provide. We even got a follow up call this morning to make sure that kitty was doing well. What a gem this place is! They have reasonable appointment times, everyone is so so kind, and they truly care about the well being of your fur baby. Thank you to everyone who helped us yesterday. I had the best experience ever at this veterinary office. The entire staff was so kind and personable, they took amazing care of my cat. Also, extremely fair with billing and truly are here to look after pets. Highly highly recommend this office.

I was pleased and relieved AM/PM could work me in on a Sunday when my old dachshund became seriously ill overnight. I normally go to another vet, but their clinic is not opened on the weekends. Dogs get sick on weekends!The tech was very kind and friendly both to my dog and to me. Dr Boyles updated me frequently and was very knowledgeable, caring, and professional; she gave me prices and options up front. Most importantly, my dog recovered quickly because Dr. Boyles diagnosed and treated my dog accurately. As a side note, the cost was reasonable as well.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! My baby Zazu suffers from pancreatitis & had an attack this morning! They were able to get me in pretty fast compared to other places! They explained everything step by step & prices were incredibly affordable! I will be coming here from now on for all my dogs needs. THANK YOU!!!

I brought my dog here when he was sick over the weekend and I couldn’t get him into the usual ER vet clinic we go to. AM/PM staff were so friendly and caring. Our visit was curbside due to covid protocols but they took my dog inside and everything felt very thorough. The vet we met with (via phone for me) was so nice and gave me a few different treatment options at varying price points. They understood I could follow up with our primary vet on Monday, if needed, and weren’t trying to run a bunch of random tests, etc. My dog was feeling better within 24 hours thanks to AM/PM! Overall, would highly recommend!

Dr. Parker took care of my first rescue pup Bear from age 2 until his death at age 18. I felt like Bear always had a special place in Dr. Parker’s heart and he trusted her completely. We all shed tears when Bear died in my arms. It was time to let him go and I felt supported in that decision. Three years later I adopted Pippin “Pip Pup” and Dr. Parker is his doctor. I am grateful for this long history with AM/PM and Dr. Parker.

One of my kitties had a serious injury due to a fall and every 24 hour vet was at capacity and our regular vet couldnt get her in for three days. When she started to worsen, I started calling any vet I could find with no luck. A friend recommended AM/PM and I called and told the staff what happened. They were also completely packed BUT they told me to bring her up and they would squeeze her in as they could tell the issue was serious. They took such amazing care of my baby and were so informative and attentive, even with follow up questions after the initial visit. We have a new vet now and will be moving all of our fur babies to AM/PM for great care! I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Parker and staff were so incredibly nice and accommodating even when I called less than 5 minutes before closing time. They worked my dog, Scarlet into their schedule on a busy Sunday when I didn’t have an appointment and my baby needed to have her eye checked out right away. They were very thorough and answered all of my nervous dog mom questions with patience and grace. Even in the midst of COVID protocols and social distancing they kept me up to date on the examination process and treatment. I honestly can’t say enough nice things about this team of animal loving professionals. In the past I took my dog to Thrive Vet on Oltorf, but after my exceptional experience on Sunday I plan to start bringing Scarlet and my other pup, Tedi to AM/PM Animal Hospital to be their primary vet.

I wouldn’t rate this place at anything under 5 stars. Yes i had to wait some time, but that’s for patient people... the care for my pup and energy i received from the staff was something of perfection. My dog was sick, and every other vet/animal hospital refused me service. AM/PM wast fast, professional, and in general delightful to work with. Theyve earned my business for the foreseeable future!

I cant thank this place enough for seeing my fur baby on such short notice. I called ahead and was told if I could get there within a certain time, they could see my dog. They were quick with intake, and Dr. Parker was quick in assessing my dogs issues. She explained everything in full detail and did a thorough exam on my baby. I left feeling confident that everything would be ok. I was expecting to have to pay out more money than I did considering it was an emergency visit. I am happy I called this place up, as the emergency vet near me told me 4-6 hours to be seen and $25 more for the exam alone. My dog was in and out in less than 45min. I am thankful I did more research in emergency vets near me and found this place.

Even with Covid protocols, this was one of the easiest vet experiences and still felt like my pups got amazing care. Dr. Parker was very informative and friendly. Definitely take your fur babies!

Brought my 3 year old dog in for his first tooth cleaning. They said prior to the appointment it would be HIGHLY unlikely he would need any teeth pulled. They called during the procedure to tell me they wanted to remove 5 teeth (20%) of his lower jaw. Absurd! They sure do love to upsell at the expense of my dog. Needless to say he still has all his teeth and is going just fine.

Had a great experience with AMPM. We are new to Austin and didn’t have a vet yet when our dog, Coco, randomly got a red, swollen eye. I called many places and they were booked out for week, but when I got ahold of AMPM they got us in the next day. The appointment went great and they sent Coco home with meds and she’s already doing much better. They were so loving to Coco and honest which I really appreciate!!

AM/PM Animal Hospital is awesome! They took such great care of our puppies during their first vet visit. They were so gentle and loving to them.

I have been coming to AM/PM since 1996, first with my dogs and now with my cats. The vets are always knowledgeable, kind, and will give you straight, no-nonsense answers. They have helped me get through everything from typical pet care to injuries/illness, to emergencies. I wouldnt take my furry family members anyplace else! I cannot say enough good things about AM PM vet clinic, they are simply the best. The care they give to my animals is outstanding and the follow up after every visit is just amazing. Dr. Parker is absolutely the most wonderful vet I’ve ever been to!

You really can’t do better for your pet than AmPm. They are wonderful, caring people who go above and beyond in every way. Their covid protocols are great, curbside, and I have no qualms handing my babies over into their excellent care. Our 4 cats age 1-13 have been coming here their whole lives. I went her on a weekend when my pup got hurt playing in her playpen outside. The staff were so understanding and helpful and treated my Munchi as if she belong to one of them. I will for sure be coming here for all my future animal needs. Thank you so much and keep up the great work.

Me and my wife 4 years ago close to five now took our dog Sandy there, this place diagnosed her with a heart condition and then stated she didnt have any time left. They suggested we put to her to sleep and then we paid over 300 dollars to put her to sleep and then we also THOUGHT we had an urn with her ashes in it but little did we know 4 years and a half later we bought a new dog and wanted to open the urn to finally let the ashes go and let the spirit of Sandy free. What we found was the most disgusting thing you could find in that moment, we find an empty bag and a zip lock tie. No ashes, and no memory. This is truly the worst thing anybody could find in this situation and we hope that this isnt an recurring issue because I cant imagine a family feeling this empty like our family feels. Truly truly a HORRIFIC SITUATION

Bummer... my sick dog and I were turned away yesterday trying to do a walk-in because there wasn’t a vet available. They were empty but guess the vet was going into surgery. So guess my advice is call ahead if you’re coming here without an appointment. This was the 5-star review I wrote a week or so ago over the moon with the walk-in care at AM/PM:One of the best vet experiences Ive ever had was a walk-in appointment this past weekend to AM/PM with my pup. I wasnt sure if it was an emergency, but it def seemed to be a sudden infection in his paws that couldnt wait to try to squeeze into my regular vet a few days later. Their walk-in rate is reasonable and their staff is amazingly attentive, kind, upbeat, and caring. AM/PMs extended appointment hours for regular vet visits are a game changer for me too. I have three dogs and live and work very close to AM/PM now compared to my regular vet in north Austin who is wonderful, but doesnt have the extended appointment hours that AM/PM does, which are the same price for regular vet visits as my vet (vs walk-ins, which my vet doesnt usually do). Thus, not only was my first time walk-in visit a nice surprise, my pup is doing much better today and AM/PM made a future regular client for me and my pups as well. Thank yall for taking care of us!

I had an emergency on Halloween morning. They were able to squeeze me in as a walk in and made me feel as important as any other client. They were extremely kind, caring, and professional. They even called me back Monday morning to make sure my pup was doing okay which is the first time I have ever had a veterinarian service do this! I cant say enough about this AMAZING clinic. They will have me as a new client furever!

We brought our dog in to the ER last week due to an allergic reaction and some other issues that were noticed. Our pup ended up staying over night to be monitored and was seen for a check up a couple days later. We spoke to a few receptionists and our dog was see by three different veterinarians and a few different techs as well. The communication between each person was amazing and thats pretty rare considering the other clinics weve been to in the past. Each person was incredibly kind and professional. They told us that we could call to check on her at any time throughout the night, which we did, and each time they answered to give us a reassuring update and we felt relieved. Even days after our dog came home, theyve called a couple times to check in on her and make sure she was doing alright. Each person went over what they were going to do and how much it was going to cost and never once did we feel like we were being taken advantage of given the circumstances of her being an emergency case. This unfortunately cant be said for a lot of vet hospitals. On top of all of this, given our current situation of social distancing, they essentially did all service curbside and via the phone. We werent able to go into the clinic but the technicians would come get our dog out of the car and they would call and let us know what was going on. We were shocked at how seamlessly they were able to adapt to the current situation all while still giving amazing customer service. Weve lived next to this clinic for many years now and Im so glad to know such a trustworthy animal hospital and staff is right down the street.

After having one positive experience at AMPM, I decided to take my dog here again after she was experiencing 48 hours of stomach issues. Doctor Boyles and her team took prompt steps to find and begin to remedy the issue (pancreatitis) while calling and talking me through every step. My dog is on the mend and their help is much appreciated.

Such friendly staff! I came in on a Saturday, and they triaged my pet almost immediately. Because she was in pain, they expedited her treatment. They patiently answered all my questions and were happy to send X-rays to as many places as I needed.

I am very thankful for having AM/PM Animal Hospital in Austin. Unfortunately I have had several occasions to use their late hour emergency services and every time I found them to be very caring and professional. With recent COVID-19 restrictions, this latest visit was rather challenging but the entire staff and vet still provided the same high level of care. I also greatly appreciated the follow up call proving to me that they genuinely care for their 4-legged patients and their human guardians. Thank you AM/PM.

Our usual vet is closed on Sundays, so I found AM/PM animal hospital using a Google search. What amazing folks! Our little 11-yr old cockapoo, Enzo, was crying last night and this morning and we couldn’t figure what was wrong. We were already on the way before they opened and I called them from the road. There was 0 wait time. The med tech and the vet were the sweetest to our Enzo and you can feel the compassion they have for pets and their owners. Due to covid, it was only curbside, but we stayed on the line to talk through what was wrong with him and the action plan. I am so so happy we found these folks!

I have a 15 year old Yorkie named Mr. Pepper. He is a nearly perfect companion - never complaining - no trouble - kinda stoic - just takes aging, and life in general, in stride. Even tho he is so low maintenance I have never been able to find a vet that I was thrilled about - no one bad - just so so - until Mr P and I met Dr Parker yesterday - she is a gem!! She examined Mr Pepper carefully - every inch - even called another clinic and got his previous bloodwork so I would not have to bother or pay again for it . She went over it with me at length and addressed some findings due to his age and even processed through with me what to do and what not to do. Beyond incredibly knowledgeable she was amazingly loving and emphatic....we basically decided to do nothing - again, not something we hear often enough from medical professionals! I am so grateful to have found DR Parker and her staff and feel more confident now of navigating Mr Peppers senior years in comfort - thank you !

Brought our dog here tonight when he had an accident and tore a nail (lots of blood!). Ended up here on a whim because the other nearby 24-hour place screwed-the-pooch (excuse the joke).First thing worth mentioning. Within 30-seconds of walking in the door, the woman at the counter asked if we were there for an emergency - TRIAGE. YES!.Anyway - brought our dog in and was told the wait would be 30 mins. 5 Minutes later, a hysterical woman came in with a dog having a seizure - that dog was prioritized in front of ours - which WAS THE RIGHT MOVE. Im happy that they were able to take care of the other dog first, who clearly needed the help. We were immediately told that our wait would increase to as long as 1.5 hours, but were okay with it. I would say it only took maybe 45 minutes for the vet to see our dog. He received compassionate treatment that appeared reasonable. The cost of the total appointment was well within what I would have thought it should cost - we didnt feel taken advantage of, we didnt feel rushed or uncared for - and our guy is on the mend... Thanks AM/PM!

Great service by the medical staff. I called in the morning to see if they had an appointment to see Dante who was having some stomach issues and I was able to go in as a walk in and didn’t wait at all when I arrived. The Vet who saw him was amazing. He listened to my concerns and suggested X-rays and the price was reasonable. The tech was also great as well and made sure all of my questions were answered. There was a suspect of a foreign object in the stomach. He recommended to monitor for the next 12 hours or we could go straight to surgery. He said he would go on the conservative side of monitoring but was up to me. I agree with monitoring and rechecking later but since they are no longer 24/7 Dante would have to be transferred. He found a place not far from the office and made sure I had all the details and so spoke to the doctor on staff to make the transfer as smooth as possible. I have been coming here for years for emergency situations and I will continue to do so. Thanks again!!

The veterinarians and techs are knowledgeable & fantastic! They openly show affection to our dogs, and are ALWAYS happy to explain anything—medical issues, diagnoses, meds, billing—and will discuss a plan with you before doing anything. They saved my dog’s life when another vet clinic overdosed him on ivermectin. The receptionists are so kind and helpful! They also board animals & I feel confident using them when we travel bc I know our dogs will be fine.

We arrived and told them our dogs condition. They took him in immediately. They gave us our results within the hour and we were on our way to the next hospital because our dog needed a blood transfusion. Good care and reasonably priced.

Dr. Parker is amazing and so good with my cat that has multiple health issues. She answers all my questions and helps me understand the next steps to be taken. Shes very knowledgeable and always gives me different options to work with. I really feel like she understands my cat. Prices are also reasonable considering the great service you get. The staff/vet techs are also very friendly and helpful, whether on the phone or in person. I dont know what Id do without this place. 🙏

Dr. Parker and her staff are friendly and helpful. They always take time to review medical concerns with us when we bring our dog in. I never feel rushed and they are able and willing to answer all our questions! Plus, their hours are amazing! Would 100% recommend.

Came in with my dog and the waiting area was empty, we got seen in a decent time (less than 30 minutes). Staff was friendly, but the vet we saw was fairly cold in general. They charged us $45 just to take our dogs blood pressure, which is ridiculous, even after we explained our financial situation to them. When I questioned her as to why it cost so much, her response was because of our skill and expertise, which is BS. Most likely they used an electronic cuff, but even if they did it manually it wouldnt warrant a charge like that. We ended up having to be transferred to another facility that was equipped for hospitalization where they performed the same tests as this place before getting more specific, an immediate referral would have been nice.

Very nice staff. They really did care about helping my dog get better . Even though the price was pretty high , they did provide great care and costumer service and worked with our budget , updated us about our dog 3 times a day. Will recommend 👍🏼

Weve been bringing our pets here for about five years, and we are so glad we do. Appointments are easy to schedule, and weve never waited longer than a few minutes to be shown to a room. Weve been to AM/PM for a few emergencies, a lot of regular care, and compassionate help with the passing of our older kitties.Most importantly to us, our dog isnt friendly with other dogs, and when we first got him he had a lot of anxiety and reactivity at the vet. The vets and the staff have always been so kind and understanding. Everyone who has worked with our dog has connected with him in a way that showed how much they really care. Super thankful for AM/PM!

Dr. Kimbrough and her staff were very friendly and professional even though we had to communicate via phone and they only provided curb side service at this time. They treated my pup very well and she was happy when they brought her back to my car. Super glad they were open on Easter Sunday and were able to help us out.

This place was fantastic! I took my dog in around 11pm (long after our normal vet had closed), for an allergic reaction. Each vet tech and the veterinarian we saw was kind, attentive, and extremely helpful. Although I’m hoping I won’t have to make any more visits there, I would recommend anyone who needs after hours emergency care for their pet.

They were so patient and sweet with my super skittish pup. At 80 lbs and a bit reactive, she can scare a lot of people. They took my suggestion to not put her in a muzzle but just go really slow with her and she did great. They made a 4 AM urinary tract infection as painfree as possible for both my dog and me. Dr. Renner was awesome.

I brought my baby girl Missy in for a yearly checkup. The staff were so kind to us. I knew Missy was really scared but she was also extremely cooperative as well. I loved that the staff recognized what a good girl she really is! The love and care that Dr. Parker showed Missy meant a lot to me. Missys ears needed some cleaning out so she was checked for that very quickly. A day after our appointment, I received a phone call asking how Missy was with her vaccinations! I was floored! I am definitely bringing my sweet baby girl cat here from now on. I highly recommend this clinic!!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are clearly passionate about providing the best care for their patients. Took my cat in for his wellness exam, and though he usually does not do well with strangers; they were patient and gentle with him the whole time so he would feel more comfortable.The Vet was very detailed in explaining what my cat needed, and made sure I was comfortable with all the next steps. Will definitely entrust them with all his veterinary needs moving forward!

We lost our almost 13 yr old miniature poodle Mysti, to oral cancer a few months ago. The staff was wonderful and very caring and the love they showed will remain with us forever. We now have a 3 month old poodle named Maya who we have been taking to AM/PM clinic as well since she was 8 weeks old . The care they provide is excellent and I wouldn’t take her anywhere else.

They misdiagnosed my dog with pneumonia, making me pay hundreds in medications for him. I took him to a hospital because he wasnt getting better a day later and they told me he showed no signs of pneumonia.I tried to talk to AM/PM about a refund of UNUSED medications a couple days later and their management/vets REFUSED to admit they made a mistake and wouldnt take their medications back. DONT GO HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE WELL-BEING OF YOUR PET. I lost hundreds of dollars to this place and couldve lost my dog as well if I followed their treatment.

My baby Zoey was bitten by a copper snake and although they couldnt save her life (there is no anti-venom for copper snake bites) they did everything afterwards to make it a memorable experience. Oh and they saved my cats life back in 2015! Im still doing backflips from that...thank you AM/PM!!!

Needed to take our cat in for conditions acquired in the shelter where we adopted him. Super helpful on the phone about options and what to expect if we walked in. During our visit the front staff was so pleasant and we were seen promptly. Everyone was caring and took time to let us know everything that was going on and the treatments needed. Great with our cat. Discussed costs, which were reasonable, before proceeding. Dr. Smith was very comprehensive and we left confident we could manage what our cat needs. A positive experience with everyone. Highly recommend!

It was my first visit here and Im impressed. The first thing that I really liked was that they are open on Sundays!Once we got there, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and the entire staff was very friendly and answered all the questions I had. They were thorough and explained what Leena needed and were very patient with her.The prices were very reasonable and caught me by surprise (in a good way) because of how reasonable they were.I highly recommend this pet hospital for those that want a friendly environment for their pets.

My kat-kids Mina & Luthor have been with AM/PM since they were 4 weeks old, and before that their older brother Lolly (RIP). No-nonsense caring concerned and diligent in care always. Now at 9yo their is different and we experience big kid problems like weight gain and lower back aches, their care is still no-nonsense caring concerned and diligent. We will not leave our beloved docs (though we will hiss and be dramatic!)!!

Gracie the vet tech is MAGICAL. I can’t recommend this place enough. Everyone there was wonderful, professional and kind. But Gracie managed to do procedures with my unctuous elderly cat that other vets, vet techs, and myself could not do. Her communication, professionalism, kindness, gentleness, persistence and LOVE were remarkable. Dr. Kelcie Theis was patient, kind, gentle, respectful and knowledgeable. I was very impressed with the capable care and the level of communication and respect for both animals and their human caregivers. I also overheard an interaction with other patients and another vet tech and was impressed, and was impressed with the receptionist as well. Very reasonably priced and their hours are from 6am-midnight! They have won me over for all my veterinary needs. In my decades of caring for animals including dogs, cats, and goats, this veterinary experience stands out for its excellence. Thank you AM/PM Veterinary Hospital!

I took my puppy in late on a Saturday night with a serious eye scratch that had me really worried. The staff at AM/PM put me at ease, showed great care and attention to my dog, and most importantly, they were able to reset his eyes and alleviate his discomfort.I’d recommend them to any friends or family who find themselves in need of care for their pet.

Incredibly thankful for AM/PM. Our dog was showing several symptoms of bloat and we were very worried since this can be such a serious condition. She ended up throwing up A LOT en route to the vet (all of the rawhide treat she had been eating earlier) and was back to normal. We still took her in to make sure she was ok, and they got her in within minutes of us arriving.They triaged her for bloat and let us know immediately that it was not GDV and that it was likely just food bloat from the rawhide. All in all, they had us in and out in maybe 10 minutes or so, and without us having to put her through a full exam.Will definitely be keeping them as my go to emergency vet if it’s ever needed.

The first one I had to take my dog here was for a minor emergency. The staff at AM/PM were so quick and efficient. They made me and more importantly my pup feel comfortable.I had to take her again due to bladder stones. The vet who helped us was so confident in her diagnosis AND they were able to take her into surgery the very same day! They did such a great job too with the sutures. They took every ounce of anxiety, stress and worry away from me.Always prompt and accommodating, AM/ PM is reliable and friendly. They provide the best services and it’s a HUGE bonus that they are open almost all hours of the day so I can make appointments that fit to my schedule!

I am sooooo disgusted with this facility.... I really didn’t even want to give it one star. We took our pet there and they not only over charged the heck out of us, but they did nothing to help us. Referring us to doctors they knew we couldn’t afford. Our dog actually needed antibiotics and they didn’t give them to her or let us know she needed them. All this place seemed to be good for was racking up a bill. For shame 😑

The staff was very compassionate. We lost our pup so sad. :(

I recently helped my pooch (Tibetan Terrier / Nappo - hey bud) on his transition after 16 years of companionship and realize that I was lucky to able to do that as most pets go quicker. It was done at AM/PM after going there regularly for about 4 years and as difficult as it was, AM/PM made it a truly meaningful experience and provided a great amount of comfort. The Doctors are excellent and the technicians are awesome, prices are reasonable and I cant imagine going anywhere else. During this trying time for everyone I was not sure what would happen when I needed a vet for my pet. They handled it all very professionally and as quickly as they could I imagine. I use them in emergencies and have always had a good experience.

Took my Shatzie dog there On Easter 2020 and received excellent care a very fair price. I only waited 45 minutes Which is incredibly good for being a holiday and a Sunday and during the Covid crisis. The only place in town I will take my dog now.

We took our dog since he was very sick. They told us he had a virus and sold us medication for him, including some serum we had to inject in him. The next day he worsened and we gave him the pills they gave us, when the time came to inject the fluid into him they gave us no instructions so we called and the guy simply said he would have a medic call us back to instruct us through the phone. We were desperate and since we received no call after 20 minutes, we called back and they said they still didnt have a medic. So we waited and we started looking for help online and in youtube videos. Our poor dog died and when we called to ask why we hadnt received a call from a medic the same guy told us that the medic had called but they didntbecause we had our phone with us the whole time and we didnt receive any call or message. Then he simply said that it wasnt their fault anymore, but it was. It isnt about the money that we are necessarily complaining about, its about the service that yall are providimedication with no instructions and then not calling back. Dont go there!

I came with a minor emergency and was seen immediately, they took some test and were quick to diagnose my pup Arlo. Dr. Chapman was extremely helpful in not only providing the right treatment options but also taking consideration of prices and my affordability.Overall they have a great staff, and were all super helpful with proving information as well in making my pup feel better :)Highly recommend 👍

We have been clients of AM/PM Animal Hospital, specifically Dr. Leanne Parker, for over 20 years. Through all the years and all of our dogs, Dr. Parker and her staff have never failed to be kind, caring and supportive. They practice first rate medicine and don’t hesitate to recommend specialists when the need arises. We have complete confidence in AM/PM Animal Hospital and highly recommend them for all pet owners.

We had to take our dog Remi to AM/PM animal hospital for an emergency, we were greeted and due to his condition he was seen immediately. The staff is very friendly and they took excellent care of our pet. I had no questions to ask because they informed us of every step they were going to take.

AM/PM was very receptive, efficient and professional. They really made the emergency visit with our dog, affordable and did an amazing job!

AM/PM Animal Hospital gave us the best experience for a 930pm EMS trip to the vet as they could have. They were extremely patient and courteous with us and our dog. The staff did everything they could to keep our dog alive. They asked us lots of questions about his condition (where was he bitten, what did the other dog look like, did he have any previous conditions). They gave us lots of time to talk over the decision of putting our dog down. We did in fact have to put our dog down and the staff made this as nice of an experience as they could have. They were extremely empathetic about our loss and gave us ample time to say goodbye. They also gave us a clay footprint from our dog, along with a poem. I would definitely recommend AM/PM to anyone, especially in an emergency.

We decided to try this hospital because the South Austin one on Frontier Rd wanted money and gave no real home remedy for my boy. This doctor took the time to showed us his xrays and gave us a plan for treating Charlie. They also gave us the option to try to save money and do home treatment ourselves. The office even called to check on my Charlie. His vet didnt even do that. I would highly recommend this hospital,! Very friendly staff and excellent care for our family members.

They are both informative, transparent about pricing, full of empathy, treat my animals like I do with love. The front office staff and the vet techs are always courteous and helpful as well as pleasant and knowledgeable. I have been taking my animals here since 1996.7/24/2020 My dog Rose and cats Millie and Sherman had their annual visits and immunizations. The caring service and explanations by the veterinarians and the techs and front office staff are superb and efficient with everyone there. Special shoutouts to those whose names I f don’t know and to those whom I do: Dr Parker, Dr Boyle’s, Evelyn, Kayla, Shannon, Vanessa, Jess, and others whose faces I know but names have slipped my mind. I am very grateful to the staff and vet at this clinic. I live rural and my large dog lost his battle with a porcupine and had a mouth and face FULL of quills. It was out of a horror movie on a sunday night.....they were compassionate and i am happy to say he s made a full recovery . I totally would recommend this place to anyone with a vet emergency. It is such a blessing to have a 24 hour facility available ....thank you....

They were able to save my dog which means the world to me. She ate something at a coffee shop that turned out to be poisonous. The Doctor was very friendly, understanding, and did a great job explaining to us all of the problems. She was released from the hospital 5 hours after and is doing great!

Very kind staff, made sure my cat got the best care for the cheapest cost. Definitely recommend them!

I have been to AM/PM hospital on 3 different occasions, and have always had a good experience. The Doctors and Staff are very friendly and care deeply for their patients. I had to hospitalize my cat recently, and they took very good care of her. They are very compassionate and caring. Dr.Smith is an incredible doctor, but more importantly very warm, friendly and patient. She handled my baby as though she was her own. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

This place was a godsend late at night when our 16 year old cat had major medical issues. We could feel the love and compassion from them even though they had never seen us before. They were able to quickly diagnose and stabilize our kitty and gave us everything we needed to get her through the night so we could take her to her regular doctor. We dont know what we would have done without them!

As of this week the 24 hr. full service clinic is cutting back on its days, hours of operation and services! They will no longer be a 24 hr. Hospital. I have usedthem for 10 years but since my Vet is leaving and they are reducing in all the areas l thought important, l will look for another full service clinic that offers services 24/365. in this area! With this change they will be one of 3 within 1.5 mile radius.

Stay away! They botched our dogs spay which led to our dog needing a significantly more expensive surgery and refused to refund us for the service they botched. After reviewing the procedure notes our new vet told us that it was likely due to them using inexperienced staff and it was unethical for them to refuse a refund.

I thank the staff here for saving my pups life after suffering a heat stroke. They took great care of him running fluids and nursing him back to the best health possible.He unfortunately did not make it mentally. His ability to process thoughts and understand commands was all but lost.I know the Veterinarian and staff of AM/PM did all they could. This is a top notch clinic and I would not hesitate to take another family member there.

I came here on a Sunday after waiting an hour and a half at another animal hospital and still wasn’t seen. I appreciate the staff at AM/PM for getting me back right away to address my dog’s bloody stools. Their prices were fair for an emergency clinic and I left happy with a confident diagnosis and appropriate medications for my pup!

A wonderful place with a loving group of people. We just had to put our kitty to rest and they were patient and understanding. All of the techs were fantastic to us and Chewy, the Doctors were kind and thorough.Dr. Smith, thank you very much for allowing us to have those few extra precious moments with her. Words cant describe how greatful we are for your service.To the staff, she loved you guys and we loved that about you guys.When we are ready for another addition to our family they will be the ones we go to always.

We had just moved back to Austin and had an emergency with our Pup. It turned out that our dog had cancer. It killed us, obviously. However, Dr. Parker was so knowledgeable, nice and supportive throughout the entire process, which made things much easier on us. They would call periodically to check on him and helped us make a plan that was best for him. When it was time, they were so supportive and nice. I cant emphasize how sympathetic/empathetic everyone was. Several of the techs cried with us. After we lost him, Dr. Parker sent us a sympathy card. It is awful when you lose such a good friend, but it makes it easier when you have a supportive, caring and helpful vet, as Dr. Parker and the staff at AM/PM were to us.

Came in tonight with a dog that had clearly been abandoned, they checked him for a microchip within seconds of us arriving (unfortunately there wasnt any information registered with the chip). The fact that this animal hospital is open 24/7 is amazing. The rates are $91 for emergency and I think $51 for scheduled visits. Not bad at all! The receptionist was amazing! She was caring, friendly, and you could definitely tell how much she cares about animals. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning if my pup needs some urgent medical care.

My dog and cat have been a patient of AM/PM Animal Hospital for about 8 months now. Each vet has been very thorough and patient with my questions, and the entire staff is super friendly! I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic to any of my friends or family. And they have extended hours in the evenings since they are open 24/7, which is so much less stressful if I have an appointment during the work week.

This place is awful! We took our 11 week old Pomeranian here who had a life threatening situation. In addition to misdiagnosing his condition their bed side manner was awful. More specifically, the lady at the counter was joking around, completely indifferent to the gravity of the situation. The main doctor essentially told me there was nothing they could do. We ended up taking him to another nearby hospital and they were able to correctly diagnose him. Luckily he survived! If you read some of the other reviews online I’m not the only person whose had a similar experience.

Took great care of my kitty when he had what looked like a small stroke. I was expecting an emergency vet to gouge on cost but it was totally reasonable. I was seen immediately and they were super transparent on costs for additional diagnostic testing.

AmPm has been caring for my animals for over 20 years. I have used both their veterinary and boarding services to great satisfaction. Their extended hours h e meant that we could access care whenever our pets needed it. Their staff is skilled and caring and we have never felt rushed through any visits.

I rushed over here one Friday evening after my cat had consumed some peace lily. I had to wait for about an hour to see a veterinarian, but she was pleasant and apologetic for the wait (though I was not impatient about it). I agreed with the recommendation that my cat be given an anti-nausea shot to ease her through the night, and was pleased that the cost of the shot, plus them rinsing her mouth, was very little (the initial fee to see the veterinarian was much more, which is an understandable cost to get to see someone at 7:30 on a Friday). My real reason to give 5 stars is that the veterinarian proceeded to discuss with me my cats entirely unrelated health condition I had described when checking her in, which that my cat always has had loose stool ever since I adopted her. After explaining her history, it was decided that my cat probably had irritable bowl syndrome (for cats), which I had also thought likely. My other vet never suggested this as a possibility when I took her in and described the exact same history. I was prescribed by AM/PM hydrolyzed protein food for my cat, and to my delight, it has cured her of her loose stool. So to summarize why I recommend this vet: they are very knowledgeable and will take the time to discuss and resolve all your animals health issues.

I have been going to AMPM for over 20 years with my variety of furry children-they are caring, efficient, always answer my phone calls and provide me with good information. I am so glad they are in my neighborhood!

During a time when someone needs the most sensitivity - because Im worried and concerned about my pet - I expected more kindness and professionalism from the receptionist. She told me I had to wait in the car/outside because of a risk of my dog being contagious. With over an hour wait. I understand the risk, but outside?!? In addition to being rude. I quickly called the Emergency Animal Hospital in South Austin. They were understanding, nice, and gave me a room to stay in while I waited for the doctor. Wasnt impressed with this place. If youre caring for a member of my family and Im paying... I expect more.

I started coming here several years ago after a late night scare with my cat. Every time I’ve ever been here I haven’t had to wait too long although now I’m a regular and we set appointments while in advance. I absolutely adore Dr. Renner and so does my cat. This isn’t just our ‘emergency vet’ we come here now for everything. Pricing is very transparent and they let you decide what you want to do and how much it costs before doing it. The staff are amazing too!

We had to wait almost 2 hours to see the doctor. Once the doctor arrived we were amazed! She was wonderful and made our baby feel all better. We totally recommend this place and will go back for sure... hopefully not anytime soon... lol

AM/PM was there for us in a pinch and took great care of our pup when we had an emergency. The staff and doctors really made sure to keep us informed about the prognosis, treatment plan, and follow-ups.

Had a horrible experience. Like everyone else is saying (I shouldve read the comments first), its all about money at this place.They tried to sell me 4 or 5 different products for my dogs ears, only they didnt even check his ears! Since my dog was being uncooperative because of the pain, the employees gave up on trying to get a sample from his ear to determine the cause of the ear infection. Instead they went on to say the medicine prescribed would cure whatever the infection was. This explains why there were so many items on the prescription list. One of them was bound to work. I didnt complain because I would try anything to cure my pup. Another thing, they dont allow you to be in the room while they check your pet, there would have been more cooperation from my dog if he was not solely surrounded by strangers.In the end I didnt buy the lengthy prescription list because nobody ever checked me out. I waited longer to pay than I did during the check-up. At this rate I knew I would receive no instruction on how to use any of the medication because of how busy the staff were and I know I could put $250 to better use elsewhere with knowledge on how to cure my dog, not just the expensive drugs.I paid for the dog check-up, which was not a check-up, again because I went in for them to check my dogs ears, and they literally couldnt do it, or refused to try hard enough. Nonetheless, I paid $51 to waste my time. I did not argue the fact that they did not actually check my dog so I shouldnt have to pay that amount, but any courteous business would have recognized this concept.Never again

My husband & I have been bringing our two pups here for boarding and regular checkups for the past two years, and we couldnt be happier with the care they receive while at AMPM! The staff is always so professional, and our pups are genuinely loved by all. They provide upfront quotes for boarding & visits, and the staff is always extremely helpful & knowledgeable. We highly recommend AMPM for your pets boarding and heath needs!!

Staff is great doctor is awesome. You feel that they really care and try to keep a distraught dog parent at ease and informed every step of the way, and still provide incredible quality care, I trust them with my dogs.
