Genuinely good people! It’s a terrible time to be buying a car but I’m very grateful that I found Texas Central Motors in my search. Everyone that worked there was very informative and helpful, straight up about their cars and even did some bonus work I did not expect (new breaks, and oil, excellent detailing, paint job). The only downside is the car wasn’t ready for about a week after I was originally told I could have it (I needed it for work and ended up having to pay for a rental car) but I completely understood why they needed that time, and am glad they put such care into their work for it. The price aligned with KBB pricing and I felt was very reasonable. After I bought the car, they offered to check out a minor issue for free and continue to be incredibly kind and offered sound advice. I recommend this dealership!

Mike was sensational! My daughter just bought a car from this company and they were above and beyond! She had the car inspected prior to purchase and there were minor issues, but Mike fixed everything prior to sale. No haggling, no pushback - just offered to handle it. They were warm, friendly, helpful, patient and made this an exceptional experience. They knew she was a first time buyer and gave great recommendations for financing companies. I didn’t think car buying could be so great, but they changed my mind! Every step of the way, they were helpful and wonderful! This is my second time visiting this place. The deals on the Car Fax website seemed good. However, once I stepped there, the owner was rude, so difficult to talk to and had an actitud. It only took me one minute to realized that I was in the wrong place because there was a person already there complaining about the vehicle she had bought and it didn’t sound good. Save the time and energy avoid this guys.

We highly recommend Texas Central Motors. We live in Houston so deciding to purchase a car long distance was difficult. However, Mike (the owner) was always very response to our inquiries. We drove in from Houston to test drive the car and then we had it independently inspected by Auto-PI. Auto-PI found only a few minor issues that Mike took care of and we were able to bring the car home a few days later. Mike went the extra mile and repainted a quarter panel (at his expense) when he wasn’t satisfied with the paint appearance after removing a pinstripe at our request. Mike and Cyrus were very knowledgeable and very accommodating. Mike even texted us later that evening to thank us for the business and to ensure that we made it back to Houston safely. We wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another car from Texas Central Motors.

Have dealt with Mike since the 90s. Always has great cars and a very honest person. Guess thats why hes been doing this for so long. Recently bought another car and will be returning in about a month for another one. Thanks guys for your professional help and advice.

I repaired my car and honestly I really satisfied about it. Was very professional and fixed the car to my satisfaction. The reasons that I gave 3 stars, I know sometimes he is too busy but when I stop by the office for checking my headlights after repairing my car, he didn’t care about my worries. However, I would like to get his services again if needed.

My daughter bought a car from this place less than a month ago. After having the car for 2 weeks, it wouldnt start. I talked to the owner and he said that I would have to bring the car to him from San Marcos and he would fix the issue and even give her a loner car. He even said that the problem would be the starter. hit it with a hammer and it should start, and bring it to him to fix it. She was finally able to get the car to him today, and had her start the car a few times, then says to her that the battery wasnt tight and basically was her fault it wouldnt start and sent her away! I have bought used cars from dealers before, but NEVER was treated like this, and I will NEVER send anyone or go to this dealership EVER again!!!!!IF YOU ARE GOING TO PROMISE A SERVICE TO A CUSTOMER, THEN KEEP YOUR WORD!!!!!

The guys here were all really friendly and helpful. I enjoyed working with them completely. They made sure the car was inspected as required and refused to sell me the car before it had a spare, and jack in it and ready. I will be back when Im ready for another vehicle.

I was in the search for a solid used car after my previous car was hit-and-run totaled. I found that there was a car of my specification within their inventory, so I went in to check it out in-person. The car I came in for was not to my running condition liking but I found one of similar standards and in better condition. There were a few things and they worked with me on the price in balance of the minor work that needed to be performed and I bought the car.I use this car to get me to shows that I have to play around Texas and also to visit my partner who lives in Houston, which totals about 600 miles every other week or more.Overall, an unexpectedly smooth and honest purchase.

If you have to buy a used car, this is a very good place to do it. Weve bought two decent cars here for fair prices. My son-in-law bought one there too and is still driving it, years later.You can get a better deal on Craigslist, but itll take you much longer. Additionally this guy will make right any issues you might find.The owner, Mike, is a nice, honest guy and is pretty knowledgeable about vehicles. Highly recommended.

Sometimes you see small local businesses and you are not so sure about the quality of them. If youre looking for honesty, cheap and fast, come visit them, I have nothing but only good things to say about them and even their dogs are.friendly! Thank you so much Mike for all your help! This was my first time buying a car and I also dont know very much about cars themselves but I spent a good amount of time searching for one before I found one at this dealership that once I found I didnt really like any other car if it wasnt better than the one here. I took my mom with me to ask the necessary questions that I didnt know to ask and Mike answered all her questions and expanded on them so there wouldnt be any doubts and I was very reassured, and theyve helped with all my car needs, including replacing the radio, fixing the turn signals, and sending it for an inspection on the day of purchase. They even allow you to take the car to a nearby independent from the dealership mechanic to have it all checked out before purchasing (I brought a friend with me though) and I think they run a very good dealership, pretty great for my first car purchase! Should give it a try at least even if youre doubtful you dunno until you check it out yourself

Im glad I didnt waste my time going down to this dealer. I found a car I liked at Texas Central Motors. It looked like a good deal until I blue booked it. They had marked the price of the car up by almost $1500 from what blue book said it was worth. When i called them and spoke with Mike, as soon as I started to mention the blue book value, he cut me off, rudely and in a raised voice told me what the car price was listed for and told me to find a better car somewhere else if I didnt like it. I wont ever waste my time at this place. His character is definitely shady and he is a scammer! BEWARE!!

If any part of doing business is done with no integrity, I never trust that business again. I have the right to choose to do business with people with integrity. I choose not to do business with Texas Central Motors or Mike again. I bought a car from this place with the faith that they had my best interest at heart. I was misled, and it is my belief that I was lied to about the condition of the car I purchased. I purchased this car for my daughter who is in college and travels long distances. My priority is for her safety. I genuinely thought I was dealing with a dealership with integrity, but I was wrong. Do dealerships purchase cars at auction with no knowledge of the condition of the cars they buy? I hardly think so.

I cut trees for Mike that had fallen down in his car lot. I am a young business owner and instead of trying to hustle me Mike gave me life lessons and good advice. Where others have taken advantage Mike was fair, understanding and non judgmental.He barely knew me and tried getting me other work, awesome guy all the way around.Very fair, took me out to eat afterwards and then took me to cash my check when wells Fargo gave me problems.Very awesome man, someone to definitely make up something for you to do during slow season as well.Goes above and beyond for those he employees and is straight to the point, cut and dry, no b.s.He also has a mechanic on spot which I witness work on the vehicle and perform inspections on site.

He told the kid.Mike threatened to refuse to sell [to me] prior, when he was probed with questions pertaining to the normal course of buying a car and fees involved. He took serious offense to the questions that required for him to be transparent, helpful, and informative.When I asked the pertaining questions he got fed up and avoided looking at me and talking to me about the vehicle and fees involved.Mike, instead, offered other customers records to presume transparency and other customers personal information was spread out all over the desk in an open space.The office is muggy, filthy, and smelly. The two dogs are nice, but Mike lets them smother you without consideration that maybe you dont want to be smothered, period. The sofa is for the dogs to sleep on. Mike never offered a seat nor a drop of water.Youre the kind of customer that when any little thing breaks youre going to bring the car to me to fix, I dont want to do business with you, I know your type! GET OUT! He screamed at me. Mikes detail guy would not speak to me after that, Mike is oppressive in his ways and a chauvinist, he might have threatened to fire the guy if he did.I also DONT recommend Long Motors, another shady place. They sell lemons [too]. By the power of the Lord and in the name of JESUS I reject Mike and his nasty ways, his business. He has no business dealing with people. He discriminates against a certain group and is partial to others [age, gender, and race biased], if you pay attention to the comments, youll see the pattern. Mike told me his business ONLY accepts CASH payment [LIE]. Theres a problem within Mike. While he was speaking extremely close to our faces I SAW fog come out of his mouth as when its cold and you can see your breath or someone elses. The office is hot and muggy. He didnt smell like cigarette, if he smoked while he stepped outside that was additionally RUDE to push his presence extremely close to us. Youve been warned, the guy is a bad case of dynamite in disguise. To Mikes misfortune I am a business expert and very well acquainted with God. Mike couldnt handle the presence of the Holy Ghost within me.Shop Chapman, or Fiesta Motors [ kind people there]. Henna Chev. wont help if youre not rich.

Cars are filthy, sons have poor communication, no one helped me or my friend i’d been 15 mins of us walking the place , The guy who works there was not paying attention to me and talking to the guy in the back We left this place and headed to a more professional dealership.

Bought a vehicle from here and two days later children stuck on side of road as the clutch went out. They had to know it was bad, but never told us. When we called, the owner was rude and basically told us too bad, but he would fix it at our expense. Ha! We had it 2 days!!! Come on... if you buy from here be careful, you may not be getting what they tell you you are!

Roll the dice if you want, but I wouldnt recommend it. They promised that there were no major issues, which was a provable lie less than two months later. Now Im out an additional $2k. The catalyst for writing this review, however, was when I called to talk about it, the owner hung up on me. When I called back, he told me to go f*** myself.

Bought a vehicle from here, less than a month from purchase the transmission went out. Very poor communication skills between owner and his salesman son. My advice is to keep your hopes high but your expectations low when shopping here.
