Lockaway Storage on Ben White is a very good storage facility. It is professionally run and very safe. They have security cameras and I feel very satisfied knowing my equipment is safe and sound. The staff is very helpful and the rates are reasonable. All in all a good facility.

Great rates and very helpful staff! Ive stored my belongings here for over a year now and have had absolutely no problems. Very secure facility also, Jake the property manager is always on site and on top of things. Highly recommended!

Great experience with this place. From signing up to moving out, customer service was outstanding and easy going. Very competitively priced is a huge plus too! If I were to have a complaint it would be the horrible traffic from all the construction of the new highway connection. Luckily the construction is complete and its a breeze driving on 71. Highly recommend this facility to anyone.

Great service I like that they do have Security cameras up to protect my unit. And the Manager Jake was very helpful in my transition of upgrading my storage unit. I recommend checking the place out they also have competitive prices. ;)

Safe location. Great service. Easy access. Very clean.Only negative for me is no 24 hr access. However that may be a positive thing for most people because it makes it more secure.

Here’s the thing, yes these non-climate controlled units are fairly cheap and yes the management couple (Alex & Emma) were always friendly and nice. But… We had 2 storage units there for 6 months and had nothing but problems. Our unit in Row B had rain water damage which caused several hundreds of dollars worth of damage. At the time of rental, fall of 2017, it was still Riverside Storage, and they did not offer renters contents insurance. The other unit in Row A was absolutely infested with rodents and they damaged a lot of our stuff, most upsetting was that they used my two nice big house floor rugs as their place to urinate for God knows how long and of course I just had to throw the rugs away. The odor was horrific! Also, in the beginning we were offered 24/7 access by manager Andrew, as business customers, and when we finally really needed that during our move-out in April 2018 around 10 at night, it didn’t work, even though it had worked in the past. In addition, in the spring of 2018 I was rushed to leave for a trip and was going by to pick my suitcase up on my way out of town, and the gate would not open!!! To top that off, someone hit our storage unit door and dented it pretty badly, basically broke it from working easily & sealing as it should have… That’s probably how the rodents got in! Overall, I would not recommend having your storage unit here if you have anything of value or importance you are storing and if you may need to get in at certain times and if you will always need the gate to work. Manager Emma told me that every time it rains hard, the keypad doesn’t work to open the gate… Well, that’s just not acceptable. Lockaway purchased this property from Riverside but they seem to be pretty slow to get it up to par, And I feel sorry for the managers because you can see their extreme frustration although they are trying to do the best job they can, and they did get us two weeks free at our storage units due to the problems. Oh and another thing, the property is not well lit at all, for months I complained about the light right in front of our unit on row B been broken and since most of the months we were there were in winter where the sunsets early… And it was very hard to see anything in the unit. The units do not have lights inside and they are not well sealed at all, there are cracks in the concrete… Really in bad shape and we paid the price. Next time I would only do climate controlled units, Would buy storage renters insurance on my own, and would know what to check out before I sign a rental contract. Was a huge headache all around!
