A friend recommended me to go here. Got my transmission built in my Ford escape. From the first contact to the last was great. Crystal and Matt were awesome! If I ever have any transmission issues with my other vehicles Ill definitely go back.

Matt, the owner nearly always answered the phone. He’s constantly aware of status on vehicle. My sons Tahoe was a real mess, with tar like sludge inside the transmission that took a great deal of patience removing. The staff and owner and easy to work with and genuine, caring and kind. Perfect recipe for car repair shop. Not many around like this anymore. I’m female and wasn’t taken advantage of.

I am a first car owner of a 2001 Toyota camry. It was my first time taking a car in to a mechanic shop. Everyone involved was really nice and professional. Brandon worked on my car, and even after the repairs he was willing to answer all my questions and show the work he did. He really tries his best to get your car in the original state it was in. Matt and his team are great. Just a tip. These people have a lot of work going on. There is a reason. Because they do excellent work. However turn around times are like a week to ten days. So keep that in mind. Aside from that, you won’t be disappointed.

Austin Transmission and Clutch did an outstanding job on my97 F150. There was an electric gremlin in my 4x4 that was very difficult to diagnose. AT&C stuck with the problem and figured it out. It look a little longer than anticipated but they got the problem solved. Im very happy with the experience and will use them again in the future.

They never test-drive the car after fixing the transmission! I had to go back at least five times. Every time problems became apparent on the way home. The ordeal took at least a month, I had to rent a car. Eventually it was fixed, except that I get a check-engine light for a transmission solenoid problem after driving a hundred miles on a highway, but Id rather live with that than go back to this place. Giving 2 stars only because the transmission was originally slipping and now its not. Chose them because they were cheaper - got what I paid for. Hire them if you have little money and a ton of free time to work as a test driver.A good thing, though, is that there is a Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting across the street, which is fun to visit.

Great experience taking my car in to get a front bearing replaced. The replacement is labor intensive so you really see how expensive some places are versus others. They quoted a price that was better than any others in the area and stuck to it. The part they used to replace it had a manufacturing error that they discovered after testing their repair, so they had to keep it an extra day, but it was ready early the next day and they communicated through the whole process. They didnt charge any extra too, even though they basically had to do the service twice, which was great. Overall: great people and great prices, highly recommend.

Brought a 2004 suburban in to them for a new transmission seven years ago. Saved $600 over competitors. Found them again by searching for Fergusons (which is right across the street) and had them look at my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Turns out it only need a transmission fluid which they put in at no charge. Will always be back to this shop for any transmission need. The reviews they receive says it all.

Its a straight forward honest shop. The facility is a bit greasy, so be prepared to walk through some slick grime to pickup the vehicle. Good place for staying within a budget.

Prior to taking my business here, I’d dropped my 2015 Ford Focus at Maxwell Ford on a Monday because my transmission had been acting up. The service advisor at Maxwell told me they wouldn’t be able to even LOOK at my car until the end of the next week so it would’ve been nearly 2 weeks to even receive a diagnosis and I’d have to pay a $199 fee for them to just tell me what was wrong with it. And then it would’ve been a couple more days. I called Austin’s Transmission and Clutch 3 days after leaving my car at Ford and they told me they could look at it within the hour for free and tell me what was wrong. So I pulled my car from Ford on Thursday and took it around the corner to Austin’s Transmission and 45 minutes later they told me the problem and had it fixed by Monday, despite not being open Saturday and Sunday. Good rates, timely manner, professional people. Matt and Brandon were who I dealt with. Top notch stuff here.

Brought my vehicle in to have the transmission checked out for minor slipping. They test drove it and recommended that they check and change fluid. They serviced the fluids and reported that it should be fine. I Couldn’t be happier with the service Matt and his team provided. The cost was very reasonable and the service was tops.

I cannot recommend these guys enough! The best, honest, great work, reasonable price and looks out for the customer. I have never had to take my vehicle back for re-work. They really do it all! I had them put in my engine and they saved me over 1,000!!!

I’m originally from SA but my alternator gave out in an HEB parking lot in Austin on a Monday morning. After calling around to many places, they were the cheapest w/ towing. Dropped my ‘85 K5 off with these guys to have my transmission rebuilt on a Tuesday, and it was done by Thursday. They even beefed it up to handle the 383 stroker I just put in. SOLID WORK AND PUNCTUALITY GUYS!

I had a transmission problem that I was quoted at $6K by another auto shop. My husband decided to make phone calls to see if there was a less pricey, but trustworthy option. He happened to call ATCS and was quoted at no more than $3K by Matt. We were very pleased with that, so we took my car in. I loved their work. I had my car towed in thinking the damage was going to be around 1500-2000, pulling out and cracking the transmission, but not only did they find a way to not do that, they fixed it without extracting the transmission at all! PLUS, they called the tow truck themselves, and only charged 55 dollars!The car feels very responsive , I dont know if they fixed a few odds and ends? But the car feels great and it was fixed at an excellent price. Customer service and human interaction very good as well.This was my first major car malfunction on a car I deemed valuable to keep, I was scared, but these guys hooked me up and saved me a buttload of money the process. Very good business.

Since weve had our transmission rebuilt, at the cost of $2300.00 + , the transmission had to be tightened about a week after it was rebuilt, because it slipped (clunked) when put in gear. We need to have it tightened again, as its slipping again! I 😠 We will definitely NOT recommend this business to anyone! 😡

I brought my 2000 Chevy Silverado I needed a transmission rebuilt and engine rear main seal replace, abs Modules replace, the whole rear end differential replace including new brake pads and rotors, drive shaft replace with new yuke joints, Cadilac converter replaced, and some electrical rewiring done. They did a fantastic job I highly recommended them.
