Was not given up front pricing of my actual total and I didn’t think to ask because I had called prior and was given a range. Actual amount came out to be $200 more than what I was given on phone. All that was said was “I’m sorry, I was supposed to have told you the price before we started.” I later called to talk to a manager to see if we could meet in the middle. He returned call with an unsympathetic and smug attitude to tell me how much he spent on a plumber visit and how that should help me feel better about what I paid because they “back their work”. Didn’t address the fact that they were in error because we were not given accurate up front pricing. Expensive error on our part to know not to use h and r block and writing this so others know.

I completely trust Bob with my taxes, and that he has our best interests at heart. He provides great guidance, and I appreciate it.

They posted their hour of operations until 8PM. I showed up at 7 and the door was locked. A woman and a man came to the front of the store peeked outside and didnt even unlock the door or open the door. This is a terrible business practice and I will not be going back. Its false advertisement to display incorrect business times. Whats worse is having employees who see clientele outside and dont acknowledge them. I will be sure to share this with my business network.

Horrible service! Would give zero stars, if I could. My wife and I made an appointment on their website 5 days in advance. At the time, there were plenty of options, so we selected a 5pm appointment. Three days before out appointment, I confirmed our appointment through their automated text system. My wife and I arrived at 4:55 and had to wait for over 45 minutes for our appointment with Siri. ( STRIKE ONE). We sat down with Siri at 5:45 and explained our tax implications as we were new clients. At 6:10, Siri asked if she could leave as she had a family obligation to attend to and we were asked to drop our information off. Prior to leaving, Siri thanked us and told that she would get back to us in the morning since she had no appointments. Friday morning and afternoon came and went, no call or email from Siri (STRIKE TWO). My wife contacted the branch Friday afternoon and asked to speak with a manager and was told that a manager would call that afternoon. Friday afternoon came and went, no call from a manager (STRIKE THREE). When the manager called in the evening, she defended Siri and tried to place blame on the receptionist (who was the best thing that branch has) for not providing other options, and offered a flat discount. She did not sound apologetic, and assumed various parts of our tax schedule that were not true. (STRIKE FOUR)When you are paying hundreds of dollars for service, you expect professionalism and appropriate follow-up, Block Advisors did both extremely poorly. There are plenty of other good tax preparations service in Southlands, seek them out!
