I was visiting Denver from Tucson and notified that I was having some weird sounds from the left front tire. Took it to Alex (he fitted me in, even though he was booked for the day) and they diagnosed a CV axle gone bad. They had the part installed within 2 hours of me arriving there and at a very fair price. Alex & his guys are wonderful: professional, kind, and fast! I would highly recommend Alex to anyone in the Denver area!!

They are so friendly as soon as you get there and super fast depending on what issues you are having. I was having a transmission leak fixed, they noticed i was sticking around for my car instead of leaving and they constantly checked on me and made conversations to make sure i knew i was not forgotten about. They also showed me what was being fixed on my car rather than just telling me, which i appreciated. Alex Auto Repair is a lifesaver!I’m a solo traveler doing a road trip from Oregon. I was getting ready to travel from Colorado to Utah when I started my car and heard an awful noise coming from my engine. It sounded like a diesel truck and I drive a Honda Element. It was very early in the morning and I drove to Alex Auto Repair where I hung out waiting for them to open. It was then where I met Alex and he told me someone had stolen my catalytic converter overnight. Not only that but the way they cut it out they damaged the surrounding parts so I’m paying for various parts instead of one. You can imagine the stress and overwhelming feelings that overcame me when I received the quote for everything. This was my first time traveling outside of the west coast and Alex took really great care of me. Once I filed a police report and filed a claim with my insurance I had nowhere to go. I was very lucky to have friends in the surrounding area who I could stay with. This all started around 7:00am and Alex let me hang around his shop until my friends could come pick me up after they were done with work, that didn’t end up being until around 3:30pm. In the time I was there Alex bought me breakfast, he invited me to get lunch with him all the while reminding me that regardless of what happens he’s going to take good care of me. He even told me he doesn’t usually do walk-ins but he noticed I had been there really early and chose to help me out. If that’s not a sign of him being a guardian Angel I don’t know what is. Alex is a family man, he’s a good person. I overheard him talking about his kids to another customer and if you could only see how proud he is of them, teaching them the importance of strong work ethic, it really enforced to me the type of man I already knew he was. I’m going out of my way to write a great review because he made such a huge impact on me, especially being on my own in a city I had never been to. I highly recommend Alex Auto Repair to anyone who needs any sort of work on their car, this man knows his stuff and really knows how to make you feel like family.

Alex was very personal and professional. I brought a used car in here to get a pre purchase inspection, and he was very honest and helpful about the condition and value of the car. He took the time to talk me through all the possibilities of this used car and if it was worth the money. I called 17 shops, only 8 even replaced A/C blower motors, cheapest quote was twice the cost of Alex’s shop. They got my car fixed in ONE DAY, stayed late so I could pick up my car, and then when I tried to give these precious souls a tip for such great service, they said no and just to bring the car back 🥺 quick, reliable, honest, nice. Alex did a professional job in repairing my A/C…however Alex went a step further in “taking care of his customer”, his price was fair and I told him I would be back in the morning to have him repair the A/C as I did not bring anyone to take me home, however Alex offered me his car as a loaner. THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST WE HAVE COME ACROSS. THEY JUST CHARGE EVERYONE $1800 TO FIX SOMETHING THEN WHEN YOU GET IT BACK ITS STILL NOT WORKING. TELL THEM AND THEIR RESPONSE IS THE PROBLEM IS SOMETHING ELSE. HAVE TO LITERALLY TAKE THEM TO COURT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK. THEY ACTUALLY BROKE OTHER STUFF ON OURS WHILE THEY WERE AT IT.

We appreciate the prompt, reasonably-priced service we recieve from Alex Auto. We have had several vehicles worked on there from basic maintenance to transmissions.

My dealership quoted $2-3k for a service that doesn’t seem necessary according to Alex. Diagnostics indicate much more minor issues that are not even close to how expensive the Hyundai dealer was quoting. Ended up getting an oil change and referral for an alignment. Also because the shop ran out of regular oil (what I requested), he gave me the premium for the same cost as the regular.Great service and care!

Great service. Honest, came in to get starter replaced but starter didnt need replaced, faulty wiring, so it cost less. Was able to get in and out within two hours including diagnostic, fixing it, and doing an oil change. Was willing to stay late to get it fixed if he had to. AMAZING!! Talk about customer service! Alex is awesome. I limped in there with my car from the airport after having a dead battery and the engine was sputtering. After quoting me a pretty standard diagnostic fee he ran through some computer checks. Cleared the errors and got the system reset. Had it running as good as new in 15 min. Then proceeds to say “no charge” because the diagnostics were not extensive. Alex was knowledge and a truly standup guy. While I don’t hope to need him, He has earned my future business. He was customer focused and had integrity. He is worth finding as his shop is off the beaten path just a little. Highly recommended.

Horrible service they took advantage of me by charging me $2600 worth of work to my car. I noticed that my brand new back window wiper was missing. When I pick my vehicle up, as soon as I drove it off the lot, my engine light came on when I took it back to them I was told I had over $700 dollars worth of problems that also needed to be fixed . I was soo disappointed in them because I had been going to them before, and it was one thing after another with them. I am never going back to them again.

Very nice guy but ridiculously over priced. $100 for just a visual diagnostic. Decided to decline estimated repairs. Took my car to Meineke (Colfax and Sable) and had the repairs done for a fraction of the estimated costs given to me by Alex Auto Repair.

This place is professional, very thorough and go above and beyond to stand behind their work. I took my car here for a repair and it was done quickly and with no issues. They even showed me an issue I mistook for an error on their part and fixed it without a question. I would definitely bring my car back here.

I have great appreciations for Alex Auto Repair. My Ford Five Hundred had broke down with faulty / broken timing chain and thus broken engine valves. I took it to Alex Auto Repair for a second opinion. They were very timely - got back with results same day. Unfortunately, the cars engine was beyond repair. The car had to be junked or the engine had to be replaced. I was very upset. I was initially charged 100$ for the assessment but because car was useless, the owner, Alex, graciously waived the charge. He also recommended a towing company to help me move the car. He did not rush me to pick up the car out of his garage. This gave me much peace and comfort at a tumultuous time! Thanks! These guys are very professional and I highly recommend them!

When took my car to Alex Auto Repair, I was told by a mechanic there were $650 in possible repairs. I told him I didnt have the money, and asked if he could do the minimum repairs necessary for my car to run, which was a timing belt replacement. He said yes, that it would be $140, and that he would call me after replacing it to tell me if the car was running or if more repairs were necessary.The next call I recieved, I was told that they repaired everything and that I owed them $750. I was confused because I did not give them permission to do all of the work they had done. When I told them this, they told me they would call me back.Alex called me back a few minutes later. When I tried to tell him about the conversation I had with his mechanic, he interrupted me and told me to stop talking. He then shouted over me about how good his business is, and how he would never overcharge anyone because he has plenty of money already. If he had let me talk instead of yelling over me, he would have known that I was not asking him to undercharge me, I was just trying to explain my confusion because of what his mechanic had said to me, and that I wouldnt have the money for the repairs immediately.I understand that misunderstandings happen. In fact, if the only problem I had was that they did more repairs than I approved, I would have been happy with the experience. However, because Alex assumed my intentions instead of letting me speak, and decided to yell over me, this was the most terrible, least professional customer service experience I have had.I hope Alex learns from this experience to always maintain a sense of professionalism when talking with customers, or at the very least, to treat customers with dignity and respect. It is NEVER the right choice to raise your voice at a customer.

Solid auto mechanic shop in Denver. I have had all of my vehicles issues solved by Alexs team. From Transmission repair/replace to diagnosing a bad oil sensor. This is the first time I have ever seen a breakdown of their replacement plan through a computer. Highly recommend. Call first to make sure they can accommodate schedules between both of you. Light Rail is conveniently a block away. This is my go-to auto shop.

These guys were awesome. If you want some honest hard working mechanics to take care of your car issues at a more than fair price, this is the place to go! I will say, an oil change here is a little more pricey than going to jiffy lube; BUT, these guys wont try to tell you that something is wrong with your car when it isnt, and the rest of the work on my car made up for the price of the oil change! Check engine light came on asked for a quote just found out they did not diagnose via the machine. Check engine light came back on less than one day of receiving the car so I called them and they told me to bring it back so that they could check out what was wrong they told me that it was going to be an additional hundreds of dollars to fix what they missed the first time I paid all that money and when I got in my car to race back to work the check engine light was still on I immediately called the store they told me that they just had to reset the check engine signal I knew that that was not true so I texted the owner who rudely responded then checked with his people then told me that I would have to bring it back a third time so that he could personally Check the codes on the machine and then fix it I assume he was going to charge me a third time I asked him for a refund he told me hed see me in courtcourthook it up to the machine and diagnose it I told him thats what should have been done in the first place and definitely after the second time I took it there and I was not willing to bring it back a third time the owner refused to deal with patient appropriately and advise that I would see him in court Good luck with this guy Im recording my

So its been a week since I had my car fixed. I had a coolant flush done along with an oil change and the replacement of 1 spark plug. Plus a full diagnostic test . They were very helpful but they failed to tell me that my water pump was messed up.

Alex and his staff are great and friendly and always bend over backwards for their customers. I have been taking my cars to him for years and refuse to refer people to anyone else! A trusted mechanic is hard to find so bring your cars here for piece of mind and a quality job!

Just wow. Why go anywhere else? I took my 2016 Audi Q5 in for inspection and an estimate on some normal wear and tear body work. Alex and his shop represent what one looks for and wants from not only a reliable mechanic but for body work as well.He quoted me a price for his services and then when I went to pay he adjusted the price down NOT up; thats honesty. He was extremely thorough, sending me photos of diagnostic readouts and of the vehicle. Beware! This guy told me in front of his business partner that he would fix the check engine light that turned on right after I left his shop from a separate issue. He charged me again but as I left, the check engine light was still on. Alot went on after that but the bottom line is he promised to refund and really fix it this time. When I went back he lost his moral compass again and declined to fix the problem that he probably caused in the first place. He admitted that he never used a diagnostic machine so how did he know what needed to be fixed from the jump? answer-he didnt even check the diagnostic machine to find out what was wrong. I have the vulgar accusatory texts available as evidence and the voice abuse is documented. My sons car is sitting with the check engine light on. When I asked his business partner about the change of heart from doing the right thing to sayingMy shop my rules he advised that since my wife came for the refund, he now feels like he does not have to do the right thing. Curious. I will update concerning what happens next. Oh did I mention that I worked for a National Tire company years ago as a compliance manager which means I put alot of these types of fraudulent business owners out of business. Now I see that I was doing those communities a solid. Hopefully this steers vulnerable people away from these out types of folks. Good Luck!
