Technician was on time a d took the rime to educate us on our unit. Other companies attempted to charge me $1,100.00 for the same repair they made for $300. Would definitely recommend.

Our Tech Michael was extremely friendly and professional. More importantly he did a very thorough and comprehensive job servicing my AC unit. He showed me before and after cleaning and explained everything he was doing. He made repair recommendations but did not push them on me, again explaining and demonstrating his diagnosis. I am extremely satisfied with the service from Polk Air and will be giving them my business again. Take it from a very picky customer that this was exceptional service- hopefully all of their employees are like Michael because he was fantastic!

They were very professional. They checked every detail on my previous HVAC unit. I had three previous companies checked the unit; one never went to the attic, the second only checked the Freon pressure and looked at the air handler and wanted to replace only the coils. It was going to cost me a lot without replacing the full unit. Even though I agreed with their proposal, they cancelled 3 times and I fired them. I called Polk Air Conditioning and Heating and the story was different. I had the condenser and the air handler replaced. They were on time and did the job very professionally.

Gene, the Polk Air service technician, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, competent, explained what went wrong in language I understood, walked me through downloading the app to control the system remotely from any of our connected devices, and booted up when entering our home. My only concern was no technician was sent to repair the problem of a faulty two-month old air conditioning system when it occurred on Sunday. I had to wait until Monday morning.

I have used Polk Air for a while now and I have always been happy with their work. This time was no exception. Mike was here within an hour of the allotted window, figured out what was wrong and had it repaired quickly. Im very happy.

They came out to give me a quote on a new A/C system. They were scheduled for 11-1, they called and said they be late. Got to me at 3:00PM. Took 2 hours to do the estimate. All other places were in and out within 1/2 hour.Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. There quote was reasonable and I may still use them as the contractor.

Tech came out on Sunday and the service call was what consider a normal service call. Rob was very professional, pleasant and informative. He found the problem right away, repaired it and recommended further service needed on a non-emergency basis to avoid other issues.

Wonderful service , the guy checked everything we asked him to check due to extra dust coming in and more allergies flare ups ,beside checking why the air conditioner wasnt working ... , we were given an option to fix or go with a new one , after 20 years , air conditioner I decided to go with a new one . In a week we will have a new one installed, and will let you all know how it went . We were recommended few products to have quality air ,I researched the product; also agree to get the fogger and UV light . I called, and they had someone out first thing the next morning on a Saturday. The $99 charge for someone to come out was a little hard to swallow, but the tech found the issue instantly and got the part on order. The next tech, who installed, also diagnosed the loud buzzing in my AC and fixed it that day. They also discovered that my AC is still under warranty for parts - without asking! The price for labor is always hard to take, but ultimately theyve given me the service I expect from a professional.

My husband and I have been very impressed with Polk Air, when we called them a few months ago to repair our unit they checked over every inch of the system including the attic. Now that we are replacing our unit they have given us the best fit for our ac needs and have made sure that our current unit can last until the replacement arrives. I dont normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to share the excellent experience I had with this company. First, the technician showed up on time (I know the bar is pretty low, but Ive dealt with many companies that have no showed and call later to tell me it will be the next day or week). Second, the technician not only explained the problems with my AC, but took the time to show me exactly what was wrong. Finally, he did not try to up sell me or try to sell me a new system (many other minute AC companies work on commission, so they are notorious for this). To summarize, I wish these guys did more than AC. I cant recommend them enough!

I called Polk Air about my heat or lack of it when needed since repairs were done in September the ac was working just fine. The technician came and investigated to the hilt and found some damaged wires outside that kept the heat from functioning normally possibly from a weed whacker. We new going in that it would be a multi step process, 3 trips to the house - AC Unit, then 1/2 the ductwork and finally the rest of the ductwork. Danny wanted to be sure that it was good and complete. AND it was!! We had 6 different techs and a great receptionist that had a hand in the job, all super people - spoke and understood English and all had a sense of working as if God was watching. Everything was cleaned up when they left too. We have run into some real shysters in this area but Polk is top notch! Great job!!

I called for service on Sat. eve on 10/26/19 and they said a tech would be there on Sunday A.M. The tech arrived as scheduled and i explained to him the outside unit was buzzing and the fan wasnt turning. He took the covers off the unit and started testing the parts with a meter. He said the unit was dirty and needed cleaning. I noticed the meter had numbers on it and thought everything was looking ok at first. I had previously looked at youtube videos and thought the problem was the capacitor. He looked at the parts, disconnected the wires and test everything. The tech had me check the breaker in the house and I turned it on and the breaker immediately tripped. So the tech checked the wires to the board and contactor and then clipped a zip tie holding wired laying on the compressor and checked the wires there and the ground and then said the compressor was bad and it had shorted out. He then pulled out another test meter that had just lights on it with the top light turning red when he used it and pointed it out to me. He then told me that not only was the compressor bad but the capacitor, the hard start, the contactor, and basically every part was shot and thought either a lightning strike or a power surge was the probable cause. The charge for the service call was $77.00 and he said that the compressor would cost $2791.00 which didnt show the cost for the rest of the parts and said I would be better off buying a new unit. He assured me he was knowledgeable by telling me twice he used to be a sales rep for Trane. I decided to purchase a portable AC from Home Depot that cost $309 + tax and called my home insurance company to see if it was covered. They said that they would send out a person to check the unit first and it would take from 30 - 45 days to replace the unit if it was determined that it was covered. I decided to call another AC company to get a 2nd opinion. The 2nd tech did much the same with testing, even climbing inside the unit which the 1st tech didnt do, and found that the hard start was the ONLY thing that was bad.His notes were this:-Upon arrival found outdoor unit off at disconnect. Customerstated that another company had came by on Sunday andhad condemned the outdoor run capacitor, start assist,compressor. Tested run capacitor and capacitor was at fullvalue. Tested start capacitor and found bad start cap.Checked defrost board to ensure board was functional, astech from other company said board was no good which wasindicated by blinking light on control board. Defrost boardtested good, and flashing light indicates normal operation.Turned disconnect on and saw large spark from compressorarea, and breaker tripped immediately. Tested compressorterminals/windings, and inspected terminal wires. All testedokay, also found burnt crank case heater wire, which was touchingbottom of compressor/Sheet metal. Zip tied/secured wirefrom touching bottom of cabinet, and replaced start assist.Tested system and system is now operating properly at thistime. System pressures are also within specified levels.System is cooling and draining properly at this time.The total cost for repair was $295.90. BIG DIFFERENCE from $2800 plus. This cost me around $400 more than it should have dealing with these people.
