Do not get this insurance. Its fine until you have a claim. I had a theft in June. I called and talked to the rudest most uncooperative adjuster. It appears he is working from home. After attempting to file a theft claim he told me my police report and information was vague. I dont need to know who you are I need to know the individuals who took your stuff. He also said i needed receipts booklets describing the items pictures contracts etc. Really? Ok went back to the pilice to request they redo the report of course they declined. The report was listed as domestic it was theft and should have been investigated by a detective not a uniform officer. Everyone was envolved in this one including the State of Michigan. Even the state police and a lawyer or two.. All said too far to investigate even for my adjuster. I am doing his work gathering information while he sits at home. As for the cops they really dont care. They either wont help or cant help. They all need to be disbanded and defunded. It would save taxpayers a lot of money.

Terrible Customer Service and Shady. We were quoted a decent auto quote, with a great discount since Im an educator. We signed the contract, with the monthly payment amount. Our first auto payment came out and it was around $100.00 more. We immediately called customer service and asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor said, the representative that quoted us made several errors, so unfortunately we would have to pay the new amount. We explained that we already signed the contract, but all he said was it was a mistake and we would have to pay the new amount. Long story short, this company is a fraud. I will never use meemic again. Many of my educator friends share similar stories.

Shady company! My son was in an accident at 16 it was his fault. I hired an attorney he got him out of the points and made sure his driving record was clean reported through Secretary State. He has nothing on his driving record. This company decided to report it through nexis lexis which is your insurance report. Even though my son was free and clear from the ticket with the attorney I hired.. they claim they want their money back after paying out to fix the car. Which they have made plenty of money on us each month of 900. I feel this is very shady and I will be leaving meemic. Also I will be disputing the points as well. Very wrongful on their part. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau as well. I have been with this company for 3 yrs paying high rates. Well they wont be making their money back on us with this situation. Horrible company I have ever had to deal with. Complete trash!!

I have the best adjuster in the world. Brad Carroll came out to my home when my pipes froze and caused damage to my floors and furnace. He is working with me during this long difficult process of getting my house back to where it was. He returns calls whenever I leave a message and he is very understanding and cares. I had no problem with help for temporary housing and repairs on my home from the time I made that initial call regarding my claim.

Staff is absolutely wonderful! They are so knowledgeable. They explain everything in full detail and go above and beyond to help save you money. I switched to Meemic instantly and saved hundreds of dollars. They are extremely kind, helpful and very informative.

The adjuster that came to the house told us everything would be covered bugged us for estimates the day after he was at our house only to find out 2 weeks later from the final person that nothing is covered after plans were set in motion

If I could give no stars on this review I would. This insurance company is a complete fraud and has some of the rudest employees. They won’t pay for damage caused by water yet EVERY OTHER INSURANCE COMPANY DOES! I have left several phone calls and have received no response. Why am I giving them my money if they literally cover NOTHING?! Absolutely revolting. Calling Monday to cancel my insurance with them and going else where!

I really appreciate the low cost of auto insurance, however I went around and around trying to get all of the necessary paperwork in order to even get auto insurance. Then, after threatening to cancel my insurance in 20 days if I didnt not give them something they needed, they turned around and told me that they wouldnt need it anyway.

Ive been with Meemic since 2014. I had my first accident in August of 2018 I filed a claim and they raise my insurance $75 on each vehicle they have not paid my lost wages they have not paid out any medical costs they have not paid out any transportation for me they have not paid out any home care for me my situation is a desperate situation theyre not returning my attorneys phone calls they refused to talk to me because I have an attorney theyre basically starving me out and then to top it off they called me today my agent from Meemic call me today to say hey we double your insurance premium so now you have to pay us almost $500 a month for each vehicle if you want to remain with our company. The sad part is that I was hit from behind I didnt even cause the accident it was also my first accident. They have the perfect rates til you file a claim then they punish the hell out of you to get rid of you and then make it impossible for you to even get insurance anywhere else because after you file a claim no other insurance company will insure you for a rate lower than for $500 a month now what are you supposed to do when youre expected to cover insurance on your car...adding to this post..Im so emotionally destroyed right now...this cant be legal

They are cheap and that is the only good thing about this company. Their customer service is rude and talks down to you. I missed a payment and they said I had to pay for 6 months up front to renew and this was after I already paid the past she balance. Be wary of a company like this there is a reason they are cheap.

I have had meemic car insurance for the past few years. Last month my car was totaled. Meemic has been absolutely amazing. I have made a total of 2 phone calls, one to file the claim and one to follow up. Everything has been taken care of. It has been great!

This is the worst insurance company that I have ever used. My car has been damaged and unusable for almost 2 months, work was approved, yet the insurance company won’t pay the bill. The body shop calls me to pay the bill and that’s just not right. Communication from Meemic has been sub-par and I’ve received cocky attitude from every meemic emoloyee (at least 5-10 people). Each employee explains they don’t know anything about my claim, even though they are the people emailing me - questionable. After all work being approved in writing from the adjuster, they won’t pay the bill for the repairs which are over $7,500 and the body shop wont move forward either.

A company founded by Educators for Educators. Its basically an exclusive club for the education community with all kinds of great benefits because Educators (who are reasonable and logical people) tend to be a lower risk on average. Similar concept to USAA for people who have served in the us military.The also provide all kinds of assistance to the Educational community through the sister organization The Meemic Foundation. For example they have done school remodels in inner city districts, provided huge sums of grant money, and assisted in providing school supplies to children in need or teachers with tight school budgets. Employees often volunteer their own time to assist in these events. How can you not love a company like that!

I have been with MEEMIC since 1992. I have never had any claims but they have given very good service. The Andy Steensma Agency in Kentwood, MI has been great as well.

People here are downright rude. I would advise others to go elsewhere and not waste their time.
