Hi Everyone,I leased an office space for 13 months with Spaces. At first things were okay. The front desk attendants weren’t super helpful and did the bare minimum. I am currently 9-10 months into my lease and they are making up new terms that they want me to abide by that I did not agree to upon signing my lease. I also noticed that I was being charged monthly for furniture that I did not use or posses in my suite. When I approached them about it, I was told there was nothing they could do and that this was part of the lease agreement I signed and that everything is all-inclusive. However, each month I receive and itemized statement with a detailed break down of what I am being charged for (example... $44 for a chair, $88 for desk) that I don’t even have in my office. Matter of fact the furniture was taken out upon move-in.I would tell anyone to proceed with MAJOR CAUTION when going into business with Spaces or Regus. There are in the business of capitalism and not to actually accommodate & help grow you small businesses.Take it from someone who tried this place out and it’s not worth the hype. Spaces presents well aesthetically but the back end (management) doesn’t hold up to test. Save yourself the stress & find another coworking space.Tip: If you are looking for a suites similar to Spaces, try Pittsburgh Yards. They are much more affordable, right off the Beltline and lots off outdoor space if that’s something you are into. Plus there’s free parking and conveniently located off I-75.

This is probably the worst location in terms of parking. There are no available spaces to park on site if you have an office space and there’s never any street parking available either. The facility is really nice and the staff is great, the parking situation is just horrible. I will never get an office here again.IN ADDITION!!!!! 9/22/20I am encountering some issues regarding my current office space at the Midtown East location in Atlanta, Ga. My current agreement is from May 2020 through November 2020 and I was notified that my agreement has been renewed through May 2021 which I did not consent to. I am not interested in renewing my agreement for an additional $2,700 nor am I interested in renewing my agreement, paying a months rent in the amount of $450 and then turning around to cancel that contract which is what offer I was presented with. I understand that there is 90 day policy on intentions to renew but are you really meaning to tell me with everything going on in the economy that 72 days in advance is not enough notice and that no exceptions can be made?Nobody is willing to help, there doesnt seem to be anyone else to speak to except a TEAM LEAD😒 who is stating that basically I have to pay an additional $500 to get out of a contract THAT HASNT EVEN STARTED YET!!!!!!How can my contract RENEW if my current contract of MAY2020-NOV2020 HASNT EVEN ENDED YET, WERE STILL IN SEPTEMBER!!!!!!!!! #RIDICULOUS

Trendy, open spaces, workers randomly perambulating everywhere. In offices I visited, people shoehorned together in rooms with long tables. Its hard to imagine getting much work done in a professional manner there.

Their IT company is in Asia and there is no IT staff on site or even in the same country much less the same city.Constant issues with VLAN and their internal network but since their IT company is in Asia you can expect MINIMUM three day turn around on IT requests.Currently waiting 6 business days for a simple reset.

So basically this brand has grown from shady business practices from what I can tell. I started with a 2/4 month contract deal with them. As soon as I did, I never got a bill for the amount I originally signed for. $600 or so per month. My first bill was like $1,800 or so. They claimed that I never paid my first month. Might I add you’re required to pay your first and last month to even receive a key to your office space. But when I got my first bill they claimed that I never paid the first months fee... in addition I had to pay my next months charge. So I bit the bullet and paid almost $2,000 to settle the debt. Ok let’s fast forward through months and months of irregular charges. I decided to leave this business after going a few months on a month to month agreement. One stipulation is once you leave without notice you loose your deposit. The first and last month. Which is more than fair!! They’re running a business and I get that. But after expecting to only be liable for the first and last months rent. Tell me why their lawyer contacts me and tells me I owe them $9,000!!! So now we might possibly have to settle this issue in court. From the way that it looks to me. This brand grows there business by stepping on the little guy and demanding money from shady contracts. I think their contracts auto renew. So I think they’re trying to charge me for a auto renewing contract after I had already left, mailed in my keys, and cleared out my office. Be very careful with this shady company. Worst experience of my life. Go with We Work, Industrious, or someone like that. RUN, RUN, RUN!!!!! FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!!!

I cant even say A For effort here. We had a short term lease. When we first signed this lease, I had seen a bunch of places and when the person showed me it was gated access for every single part of the private offices. However when wed moved in, theyd changed that and the door on our side was open putting us on the side without a key fob access. Which I rolled my eyes about. And kept quiet. And then our door lock broke. So basically anytime I needed to even go to the bathroom, I had to bring my wallet/laptop/phone with me. Because the door lock was broke and we were in the open space of a high rise in downtown Atlanta, anyone on the elevator could have walked out and grabbed anything we had in our space. I emailed the front desk about this three times before anyone did anything. I went downstairs, the front desk just kind of shrugged their shoulders and went about their day. Told me they put a work order in. Finally by day four I was livid and was not able to LOCK our DOOR when I was leaving at night, so had to pack anything I needed. I was given the Operations directors email. Emailed her, nothing. I finally had to reach out to our sales rep, who was the only part of this entire ordeal who seemed to have any idea what he was doing. He was able after 4 days step in and move us. We were told it would be months before they could fix the lock b/c it had something to do with the wall. So I asked if we could be moved to another office where we wouldnt have to move AGAIN a month before our lease was up. They obliged and as a Courtesy waived the move fee. Umm, your door is broke. You shouldnt even have brought up a courtesy fee.I was told by their outsourced tech team that my brand new apple wasnt compatible with their printers. (So every time I had to print something I had to leave the building to pay for it at a Kinkos, which is literally half the reason I rented office space)I signed up and paid for parking and was told it was fine until seven days in was told the building lot was full and they forgot to process my paperwork. I had to pay to leave the building four times while this happened, and was charged to my account. So as this was happening, I paid for not only a monthly parking fee, but to exit the building when they screwed up. So it was also delayed and they just charged me for it, I sent an email asking them to remove the charges. And they just didnt respond. So i got charged an exit fee, that I point blank asked if it existed when signing this lease, was told no. And then found out it did. Here comes the kicker. We left on 5/31, and were told that our deposit of 1K would be returned within 30 days. I emailed around 6/10 asking hey is there an idea of when this would process I got a response back from the front desk saying that it wouldnt even be touched until after 30 days past the lease end. Which meant after 6/30. I said, no thats not what is in the terms or what was said. I was told within 30 days. The response was Hi Leah,The retainer refund process takes a minimum of 30 days to complete from your agreements end date which was May 30, not your move-out date. The retainer is still processing and will return to your bank institute of choice after June 30.So what youre saying is it wont be within 30 days, and basically I cant even get an answer until after 6/30. I responded, no thats not what is in the lease agreement, it is within 30 days, by GA law youre required to get it to me within 30 days. I asked AGAIN for the third time to speak to someone above this person, and now still havent heard a word. He then responded to my email with the highlighted rule staying it was due within 30 days. I still have no clue what is going on or when we will see our deposit, but as a small business it is imperative that i budget/ plan. Never again.

Through the year or so I rented an office here, Regus (the owner of spaces) has had to credit me back money 5 times for overcharging me. When my lease auto renewed, they changed the terms of the contract and charged my account $1,000 for a retainer that I was promised I would get back. 8 months later, I have still not received the money back. They have used confusion, stall tactics, and just outright ignoring me. I may never receive the money they took from me. If you’re a small business that values your hard earned revenue, I recommend finding another office not owned by regus or “Spaces”. They are a shady organization. I regret doing business with them.

Ive worked in offices, built offices, rented offices, owned offices, slept most my 20s in offices.I hate offices. These guys, however, have created a space (har har) where everything either works for or around you. Its rather brilliant... the thought and planning behind even their open areas is obvious and very much appreciated.Im happy to provide my soldiers the types of personal offices Spaces provides on the higher floors, and am surprised to find myself comfortable in the collaborative environments that, simply by taking a head count, should feel crowded...yet they never do.Niches and go away areas are woven seamlessly in and around those open areas, and honestly, as a huge nerd with the expected (read: unnecessary) amount of tech on my person and gear in my bags, I need outlets and USB ports are everywhere, and for the internet connection to be consistent and reliable at all times. Wherever I go, one of these things is lacking, but not here. Ive never even had to so much as sit down, look around, then get up and move somewhere closer to an outlet or port, or where the wireless connection was stronger. The place is designed for everyone, as well as for someone, without either suffering or compromise between these realms diluting the overall experience for everyone.ul/dl for ethernet as well as wireless is surprisingly high, even when the network should clearly be saturated and showing a bit of latency while it manages significantly large numbers of people and devices. Either Spaces understands the importance of redundency and having multiple connections so failure or delay in one connection can be accounted for and balanced out by the others, have experts ensuring their routers and local network are all balanced and consistently provisioning and QoSed up properly, or pay top dollar in order to provide pure, unadulterated access to a fiber connection whilst sitting atop a node. Wouldnt surprise me a bit if it were all those things.Funny, now that I think about it, Im laughing at myself now because I dont think Ive ever seen a single cabinet or even evidence of rack space existing somewhere behind the scenes, and Ive been going in and out of that building for months now...Anywho, apologies for the novel, but if youre curious about the space, simply drop by and walk in, even after typical/expected close of business around 6 p.m. or so, youre likely to still find someone at the front desk, or one of the managers walking around using the very space themselves.Theyve been nothing but kind, courteous, thoughtful, incredibly helpful, and at the ready ever since our very first conversation. I greatly appreciate their vigilance, and while still hating offices, admire how this place and these people are kindly, quietly, and slowly over time, helping me enjoy the concept of an office again. To them, Im just a nobody, just another grown up kid, just another face in the crowd...and I deeply appreciate that as well.Such a well planned and thoughtful implementation of such a seemingly simple, yet incredibly nuanced, idea - space to work, with others if you want or must, where everything just works, with nothing but your own things to do and work to focus on in front of you.
