Good morning, my name is Manuel Puello and this is my story. My paycheck was garnish in early September because of a credit card that I honestly forgot about. I was confused and I had absolutely no idea on how to begin the process to stop the garnishments. I was listening to 97.5 “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” when they promoted a commercial about King and King Attorneys At Law. I called them around 1:30 PM, I left a brief message explaining my story, and two hours later, they contacted me back! We scheduled an official appointment date for the next following day. Throughout the whole entire process, whenever I would get confused or not understand one of the forms I had to sign, I will contact one of the many lawyers at the Atlanta office and they would always be there, explain to me what the form is about and would not let me hang up the phone until I completely understand everything. They usually would seem very irritable when answering the phones. That’s the one negative experience I had and it was very consistent through my bankruptcy process. The front office is the first line of communication....they need some training on communication and phone etiquette.

King and King (Lawrenceville, GA) were SUPER QUICK to collect the fees associated with their services however when it came to DOING their end of their work they were HORRIBLE. Communication with the practice SUCKS. Secretaries dont know if their lawyers are working or if they are out of the office or with a client. You can call the same day, ask for the same lawyer and get three different answers as to why you cant speak to your lawyer. The lawyers FAIL to prepare you for court or anything to do with your case. We are already going to a rough time to HAVE to be here, instead of making it easier and having you UNDERSTAND the intimacies of your case they ignore you completely once you have paid. God forbid you have to reschedule a hearing because everyone at King and King will act like they never spoke to you about rescheduling your hearing (even though you have WRITTEN email communication PROVING your request). Horrible. These people give lawyers a bad name. They take your money and forget the services you paid them to complete. For anyone unfortunate enough to FIND themselves in this situation and IN NEED of a bankruptcy attorney, your money would best be served with a different service than King and King. They should change their name to Joker and Joker.

I went to meet with one of the attorneys at King and King this Saturday( in Cobb county office). Which I thought everything sounded good. I asked them to wait to file my case cause of a lien for my business on my name. Now its Monday morning and I find out that I cant do business with an open bankruptcy case. So I call him back to get a refund of my deposit and hes says, consider it payment for legal advise, and he saved my company cause other lawyers wouldnt have told me about that. At NO time did say it was no refundable, be wear of this firm and any dollar you give them dont look for it back.

After speaking with Carl I consulted 3 other attorneys who had experienced knowledge and proof that Carl was giving false information. Not sure about anyone else at this office but Carl is a complete waste of knowledge and space there. Would give negative stars if I could.

The department that handles reaffirmations the lawyer is very rude took several times for me to receive the proper paper work for me to sign to be able to keep my vehicle I had to contact the bank I got my loan through directly to get the proper paper work to file the reaffirmation form lawyer stayed I needed to call my bank to get the paperwork to my knowledge I thought paying for a lawyer that is their job to make sure the client their representing has the proper paper work to file. Please do research before letting this company help you with filing bankruptcy
