Everything went smoothly from scheduling appointment online to the tire replacement during which they dectected my alignment was off. Called me to make sure if I want alignment done and then performing it. Also letting me know when the vehicle was ready to pickup. Awesome service.

They are a decent shop. Sales to service the experience was nice. Only issue I had was my tire pressure was off. Ill be back when I need to though

As an alignment shop, you should be capable of doing anything that isnt a commercial vehicle. Long wheel base pickup trucks make up half the vehicles on the road, and you cant touch them. Therefore, complete auto care is a complete lie. Calling yourself an alignment shop is laughable.

Absolutely the worst car care center in Athens. Gave me the wrong size tires, stripped all of my lugnuts, I paid for a lifetime alignment and got it so I could fix my front end and got that fixed and now that I need to get my alignment done, every time I call they say it is out of service till so and so and I have called several times in the past 2 months.

I’m not the type to leave reviews but if I could leave this place zero stars I would. This place my car all day for an inspection, and never called to let me know they were done. They were completely dismissive when I called to find out what the deal was, and why I hadn’t heard from them

Great customer service. Mike was great. He really took the time to figure out what was going on with our tires and the faulty tire pressure sensor. He found a defect in our rear tire and replaced it at a very reasonable price. Their service was very friendly and quick.

Very slow oil change. Took over an hour. The store was over booked and understaffed, so the staff very likely had to rush. I was tight on time, so I would’ve just did the change myself if I knew it would take over an hour.

Wonderful customer service, explained everything to me, and even showed me some things that might need fixed pretty soon. My first time going by myself and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the help, not to mention it was quick! Definitely recommend this place to any college student in Athens!!

I had to be towed to Firestone a couple of weeks ago, after having car trouble. I didnt have an appointment since it was unexpected, but they were ready and willing to help. I was so impressed and pleased with the service Davy and Dave provided. Not only did they help me find coupons I could use, they also were aware of my home situation and wanted to accommodate me as quickly and efficiently as possible. They kept me updated as far as the progress of the service and gave me options to consider. They also helped me make the best decision based on my use of my car and how long I planned to keep it (its an older car). I will definitely come back to Firestone for future service.

They quoted me one price on the phone, so I was prepared when I got there. After getting 4 new tires on my car I was totally surprised at the total cost. It was like $40.00 cheaper than what I had been quoted. And they were really fast at getting the tires on. Very impressed with them, as well as their work. I have only ever been here for oil changes and every single time even with appointment it has always taken an hour. During my last visit I even made sure to be the first oil change in the morning and it still took an hour. Other than that I went with my friend to have her tire changed after a flat on state street and they were pretty prompt with fixing it. I go to Hill Top for oil changes now, very quick.

They put my tire on my rim the wrong way! They are directional tires. Fortunately I checked before putting it on. I had to wait in the parking lot while they fixed it. And then put it on myself. $80 and it took them twice to get it right. Also this is the 3rd flat Ive had since I bought my car in April. I have bought 2 sets of tires and now replaced another. Also had to have a flat repair on one from the first set. I have a Subaru and cant have mismatched tires. I have bought 9 tires for the same car since April. They also do not do my alignments properly. I ask if everything checks out and they say yes Im good to go. Then I ask for a print out of my alignment and they give it to me and realize that they didnt get it aligned and I should come back in a week or two. But I wouldnt know to do that if I didnt ask for proof of the alignment... I would just be driving around assuming they did the job they told me that they did. Ive been going only to Firestone for almost 20 yrs and extremely frequently since I have been a Subaru owner in 2009. If it werent for Dave in the front being friendly and personable, and the lifetime alignments I probably wouldve stopped coming a long time ago. But it doesnt do much good to have the lifetime alignments if they arent going to do them right anyway. Never again.

When you find an auto shop that you trust, you treasure it. The shop has great service! The techs are honest, fast and reliable. I wish I could give them more stars.

*****NEVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE*****My Mom a recently widow of a Veteran went there to get 3 tires and an oil change. They neglected to put any oil back into the vehicle which caused the vehicles engine to seize up. My Mom is now stranded with no vehicle and they only want to offer 3k for damages. She cant replace her vehicle for that and it was running fine when she came in. We priced a used vehicle in the area with similar miles, year, make and model and 6k is the lowest we could find. Im appalled that they would treat her so unfairly.

Having been burned by mechanics in the past, Im always skeptical taking my car in. Firestone was the 3rd mechanic I had been to about a specific problem with my car and they not only gave me the best price (with additional work being done) but got the part I needed and did the work in 24 hours. Dustin came in on his day off just to get it done for me since it was a safety issue, which I so appreciated. The whole staff was informative and caring and I wouldnt hesitate to come back! Time for them to get a raise and more days off! ;) Thank you so much!!

Took my truck there to work on the brakes, 3 hours and $300 later they said everything was good. 2 days later the brakes locked leading to a busted rim and a shredded tire. firestone would not accept any blame and said they could fix it for $800. I towed my truck to another garage and they repaired it with a total cost of $113.

Came in today with electrical issues and I wasnt sure what was going on. I got here early and the guys that took care of me were pretty great. They found me decent prices on a new alternator and put it in very quickly to get me out the door. I was really impressed with the service. Seems like they do have some quality guys working there.

Traveled into Athens and found myself in need of replacement tires to get myself home. These guys were here to help. With no appointment they still got me in and out in under two hours. If you live in Athens you definitely should consider this shop the next time you are in need for new tires.

The guys working 05/06/19 stayed over for 1and a half hrs just to get me on the road. They went above and beyond what they needed to just to help me. Amazing service you dont find much anymore! Thank you, I definitely will be back.

This store is under new management , and my first impression has been fantastic. Although I would have preferred to get my new tires from this store in Athens, because of extenuating circumstances had to get the tires at another Firestone in a different state. Although I had requested for the best of the four old tires on the car to be put onto the full size spare, the out of state Firestone just left the best tire in the back of the car. Upon the cars return to Athens, I notice the empty tire lying in the back. Needless to say, I was frustrated. I took it to Athens Firestone, explained the situation, and they were happy to help (no charge). Unfortunately, they notified me that they couldnt complete the work as requested as the out of state Firestone somehow put the wrong size tire in my trunk (ie clearly not one of the four they had taken off the car). After consulting with their manager, the Athens Firestone team decided to make it right by offering me a new tire to put on the spare. This is the kind of service one would expect from Firestone, and I am happy to report it is found here. They fixed a mistake not even made by their store. Thanks Kai, Dave, Davey, and team!

Went in on Saturday 11/11/17 for a tire install and alignment. was out in a snap. Their technician Dustin is top notch and really knows what he is doing. Was done in about an hour and my truck drives better than it did before. Will continue to go there for all of my automotive needs. If you need work done, go there and request Dustin do your work . He is top notch.

I left Firestone today in a 10 times better mood than when I walked in, and not just because my car got fixed. Everyone treated me with up-most respect, something that is uncommon for a lot of young ladies. They gave me a personal ride to advanced auto to help me talk to them about the warranty on my battery which was needing replaced. They were done with my car in less than 90 minutes and kept me updated the entire time. They also gave me an extremely affordable price. I recommend Athens Firestone to anyone. Absolutely blown away by their amazing service.

I had nothing but issues. Had them inspect brakes while I went on vacation. They inspected but never called. I had to call to get update to find out my car had been sitting there for 2 days. Then the tech tells me yep your car is ready to roll yet it was still had the same problems it had when I dropped it off (so clearly not ready). Fine whatever, I tell them to proceed and replace the rotors. I go pick up the car pay my bill and leave, all is well (at this point I would rate 3-4 stars). I review my invoice to find out I had been charged for a tire rotation that didnt happen. I know this because the rim I scuffed on the curb a month ago is still on the passenger side rear. Apparently, new age rotation of tires now means the tires rotated as the tech pulls the car into the bay.

I purchased the lifetime alignment for my new minivan. Over the past three years they have been great at getting me in quickly, and problem solving my alignment issues. Tim Jones knows what hes doing and explained everything to me so I could understand better how alignment works.

To put it frankly, I know nothing about cars. Engine was making a rumbling noise, I had it towed in, and they looked at everything completely free of charge. Customer service was great, and they took excellent care of me and were brutally honest. The car needed a new motor, and they let me leave the car until my family and I were able to grab it later in the week. From sitting in the office, it sounds like theyre incredibly busy, but they do what they can to help customers out as quickly as possible. Be understanding with them, and theyll be understanding back. Great experience, and will definitely be coming back here again if I ever have car trouble in Athens!

Firestone is professional and honest. Went in to repair a flat tire and to have a brake and rotor inspection. My car has its original breaks and rotors and currently has 76,000 miles (breaks need to be changed on average 40,000-50,000 miles). I was expecting to pay hundreds for replacements but they were honest with me and explained how my breaks were at about half life and that I was in good shape. I know there are many auto shops that would have taken advantage of this situation.I have also had my oil changed a few times here and they are professional and do their best to help customers.

When you go to firestone nothing is wax coated you get the truth what’s needed or nothing needed. The techs and counter rep is point on helping you when you walk in with what ever the problem or appointment may be. There is no other place of equal service to take a vehicle to be repaired or just simply serviced.

Been going here for years and dont have a complaint yet. They always make recommendations and carefully explain what is wrong. They have consistently discussed my options on how to fix engine troubles, even when I have made it clear I will be attempting the repairs myself and not through them. I am not sure why others say that this group of mechanics are out for money because they have helped me save several hundred dollars over the years by lending me their knowledge so I can save on labor costs. Professional attitudes and performance abound here.I will also point out that several of the complaints seem to be about wait time rather than the actual repairs. Good repair shops will tend to have more business than bad ones, hence the longer wait times. Firestone is doing something right. Be an adult, accept responsibility for YOUR vehicle, and plan your visits better.

Very bad customer service and they charge without even properly looking into my car. I went there for tire replacement after I has both of tires flat on a pothole. i asked them to check my wheel rim if they are bent. They said that the wheels are fine. two days later, my tire agin went flat and I went to goodyear this time. The goodyear said that the wheel rims were bent and I had to again get new tire. I again went back to the Firestone for check up since I had lifetime alignment. They said they will tell me about the bent wheel only after charging me for wheel balancing. I did so. They came aback and told me that the wheels were bent and to get them from third party since they do not sell those. I called them back to ask about the specifications for the wheel rim so that I can buy them., they said they do not know. I am really upset about their service. they are supposed ti be the experts and guide us. Instead they are just money suckers and does not address the problem.

I am going to explain the facts.. not my opinion:My car started to show signs of not-starting and I took it to Firestone as a preventive visit, for them to identify the problem and fixed it before... they charged me for a checking service and then I could sum-up my experience with them by putting together other Google customer opinions about them:“they want to make quick money without even attempting to repair something”..”they told me they cant fix my car, and told me to find dealer”...so guess what. My car broke down, I had to pay a towing truck and I didnt return to them. I took it to another garage in where they were capable to identified the problem and fixed it.

Quite frankly, I could never get them to answer the phone to make an appointment. It was on a Wednesday. I tried for an hour. Nobody ever picked up the phone. Sorry, Firestone, you lost my business today. You get the second star only because your phone rang.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever dealt with! Its sad I even have to give this business a star..should be negative star. Will be calling their corporate office to log a formal complaint. Made a call to make a service date and time a week beforehand, after waiting over an hour and forty minutes my vehicle still had not been moved. As I went to speak with service manager to ask why, he would not respond and then walked to his office inside work area and never even apologized. Finally ask for my keys and left. Went across street to Monros and immediately received serviced. Never go to this Firestone.

Took car in to get oil changed and new car battery and spent about whats expected and they got it done quickly despite the amount of cars they had to do. Sat and waited in the office and had a nice guy that worked the desk chit chat with me made things go quicker. Look around for better price but you still will prolly be coming to these guys. Do not go across the street to Monro Muffler, BAD experience very overpriced and will leave your car door dinged up (true story.)

I have been going the Athens store for years. Wont go back! I had my Ac Compressor & Clutch,line,hose,accumulator ect replaced over a year ago. Last month no cold air. Took it in to be asked who put freon in it??? Puzzled. Come to find out it was a bad Compressor to start with. Yes after an accusation I had them replaced the Compressor w/clutch. Went in yesterday for an appointment to have my rotors shaved down, oil change & tire rotation.. well just the rotors were done!! Was told it again was mis communications. Believe me I have a list dated back to 2013 on redos!! Brackes! Ball joints!. Not enough time actually. Yes there are a couple of employees that are Professional. As I was sitting there I heard Three complaints from puzzled Customers. Sad

Over priced part and service! So I went to change my washer pump, charged me 20 to just take a look at it. Told me 53 for the part from NAPA and 85 for labor! Got the part from NAPA for 25 and went somewhere else and fixed it for 35. I dont know why they wanted to charge me extra for the part.

Would 0 star if I could. Horrible service quality, horrible customer service, had multiple family and friends take their vehicles here because of the competitive prices and what a mistake... This place can screw up an oil change.

I made an appointment on a Friday to have my brakes checked on saturday. They said that they would fit it in. On saturday I dropped it off at 9AM, they said they would call me wen they looked at the brakes. I received a call at 3P saying that the front brakes and rotors needed to be replaced and quoted me a price saying it would be fixed around 5P. I arrived at 5P, the place was closing. I walked over a mile in the rain to pick up my car only to find out that they had not fixed it at all.

I had to have a new wheel bearing cluster installed on the back drivers side of my 2011 Scion XB. It was making so much noise I couldnt stand to drive it. Since Firestone worked on it, it is back to being the quiet zippy ride I love to drive. Firestone has done brakes and oil changes on this car also. The service I have received has always been good and done right the first time. John the service advisor has always been helpful and respectful. I consider this auto center a class act and I have been to auto centers that were not, so thank you Firestone Athens. Those who complain about their prices, I have found them to be about spot on for the type of services performed. You cant guage the price of the service based on the price of the part. A head gasket cost $1.95 but to get it replaced cost sometimes over $900 because of tearing your engine apart to get to it.

In September/October of 2017, I noticed that my 2014 Subaru Impreza was vibrating so bad at 60/70mph that it was nearly immobile. I contacted the dealership from where I had purchased the car, Hatfield Subaru, and made an appointment for 10/30/17. The dealershipss service team informed me that I was nearly due for new tires and that 2 of the rims were bent. Since the purchase of the tires, my car had only been serviced at the Firestone store in Athens, Ohio. At the time of the tire purchase, I also purchased the tire alignment package ($179.99). Since purchasing the tires, at each service visit to Firestone (3/13/17 and 7/24/17) I requested an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. There should be no reason that my tires are needing replaced if the service technicians were correctly rotating and aligning the tires. When I called Greg, the manager, to inform him of my plight, he argued that his store sees 40 cars a day and that they know what they are doing? Also, Ive been in zero accidents and or ran over any curbs etc for the rims to be bent. Lastly, the service technician stripped the wheel stud when replacing the tires (case and point that they dont know what they are doing) and I had to return to the store on 12/14/17 and wait another 90min for them to fix that!I contacted the Bridgestone claims department on 10/31/17 and my claim was assigned to Camille S. After providing the invoices and estimates for the repairs totaling $656.15, Camille offered to pay half ($328) indicating that was all the upper management would approve. Well, I paid for tires that, with proper maintenance, should last 70,000 miles. These tires, because they were not properly maintained due to then negligence of the service techs at Firestone in Athens, lasted 25,000.Update: Feb 2018 I filed a small claims suit against Firestone in Athens for the defective tires and the alignment package. The judge awarded in my favor approx. $234. If I could have afforded to pay for the new tires prior to the hearing, the judge would have awarded for the full amount. I then purchased new tires from Hatfield Subaru in Columbus. The district sales manager and store manager both were present at the hearing. They were nasty and lied and although a settlement was offered by Firestone initially, Deb (district mgr) thought I was just trying to get over on them and refused to mediation. She was red faced and hostile the entire time and made sure that everyone knew, (including the judge!) that she watched Judge Judy everyday! Just skip this place unless you want a nightmare.

Go somewhere else. EVEN OIL CHANGE. The engine light comes up soon after the oil change in Firestone. And it cost me a lot to replace the part of my car damaged by the AFTERMARKET oil filter. They ONLY care about MONEY and they are PROFESSIONAL at earning MONEY instead of FIXING. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE since THEY DONT CARE.

If you like grease stains on your ceiling and your CDs smashed in your glove compartment this is the place for you. I suggest getting out your service manual before they rummage through your glove box looking for it (even when its right in front of their eyes).

Dont come this place if you dont want waste your money.I came here to check my engine light three times, first time $500 for changing some parts, second time$400 for changing another parts,and third time they tell me they cant fix my car, and told me to find dealer.Why didnt those guys tell me find dealer at first time, because if they did that, they cant earn $900. Its really disappointed.This shop just know how to change parts, they dont know how to check car and fixed car.So, dont waste ur money and time here, go find another place to repair ur car. I am only giving them a one star because I cannot give them a minus 3 stars. Took my truck in to have 2 new tires put on back. They were 550.00 for both but they are mud tires so I thought price was fair. They called and said it needed 3 tos sensors ( tire pressure sensors ) it would be 379.00 I said ok but I need the truck by 5:00 they said no problem this is at 2:00 oclock keep in mind. I went to pick truck up and manager said were pulling it out know all done but we cant make train the tips sensors the tech had to leave early . I said ok but why am I paying for something you couldnt do he said its not my fault. Well then whos fault is it you want me to pay 379.00 for something you didnt finish. I pat ed for tires and left but didnt get far as the tires were not balanced and truck was shaking all over road. Stopped at local tire shop and they balanced tires and trained sensors in 10 minutes. I will go back and pay firestine the 379.00 minus local shop bill of 29.00 but I will never go there again no supervision or accountability at all. ( its not my fault) like I was talking to my 5 year old daughter give me a break.

Took my car in for an ABS problem and was lied to about what needed done and was just dismissed when I try to inquire more details so I took my business elsewhere.

The work done on my car was terrible. The oil was totally over filled and when I got it back there was alot of oil on the front drivers floor boards. Also had holes in the radiator and there wasnt a drop of transmission fluid in it. I will not go back there again!!

My sons car broke down on his way back to NJ in front of this Athens Ohio Firestone store just after taking his finals at OH University and with winter break just starting the manager of Firestone said he would not help with my sons emergency situation with his car and said they were to busy and that my son had to get in line and wait 3 days I said he had no where to go because the college clears out the dorms for winter break and you cant go back to the dorms he said sorry I cant help you no exceptions.This store manager showed a total lack of compassion to a OHIO University student in a emergency situation.I have a feeling this store in a college town would not be the first time they treated a student like this before hopefully you wont ever have your student depending on this place
