We had a bearing go out on our travel trailer in November 2020. They were able to arrive within a short amount of time, load up the camper and take it to a place to repair the bearings. We received excellent service!

Did it darn good job looking after my wife and i and our three little kids. Gave us a rundown on the town and recommended a good Inn, loaded our Suburban up as careful as they could, quick response on getting us off the road and back on the road. Thank you a whole bunch!(If you dont know anything about lower ball joints popping out, usually, when most tow truck companies drag the vehicle on the rollback you end up losing a fender due to the nature of the tires movement when missing a lower ball joint, but these guys did a good job and I believe I got lucky!)

Had a tire blowout on our travel trailer while going to Galveston. It was only then that I found out that my trusted 4-way lug wrench didnt fit in the tight space on the wheel! My roadside assistance service didnt have a contractor nearby and after reaching out to 15 other towing companies, only Holts could do the job.The tech that responded made quick work of the job and got us back on our way promptly. Everyone was very polite and helpful!

We were on our way to Texas State Railroad so we were on a very tight schedule. We had a flat tire on the way. Holt’s came and met us, took the tire for repair. We followed to the shop and the team knew we were in a hurry. Several techs worked to get the spare off, fix the leak and get it back on! Everybody we called said 1 hour. It was a steaming hot day and Holts came out immediately and changed our flat. The young guy that came out was polite and did a great job.

I was visiting some family in Texas and got my huge van stuck in the sand. I called my insurance company- they said they had someone on the way. When I called the # for the tow truck that the insurance provided (3 hours after no tow truck showed up), the # I called was another towing service in Texas and they got confused and thought I was trying to reach Holts wrecker. After getting xfered to them I was so upset with the dang insurance company but the dude on the phone was really nice and heassured me he had someone on the way. They were super professional and towed me out within 15 min of showing up. These guys are awesome! :) If I got stuck in Texas again, Id definitely use them.

Very kind, speedy, patient, and efficient with average rates for the area. The last driver put me on the right track to fix my car. He was right.It was an ignition coil. The other driver towed my car further than he had to a year ago for no extra charge after I found out my old car would need to be taken to a different garage.

I strongly discourage anyone from using Holt Wrecker Service from Athens Texas. WITHOUT CONSENT picked up our motorhome and dropped it off on the side of the road some ten miles down the road.They cannot provide a verifiable person that had them to move it. They did not write a tow ticket as the TDLR REQUIRES THEM TO DO. To make matters even worse, because they dropped it off on the side of the road the motorhome was tagged by Sheriff office to be towed after 72 hours. 48 hours or later it towed was towed by CROW WRECKER to an impound yard and begins to accrue a daily charge that we are now required to pay to get it out that is more than $1,500Apparently Holt Wrecker Service needs to go back to Texas department of license and regulation and study up on the requirements of towing property in the state of Texas.we have now filed a complaint with the Texas department of license and regulations against hold Wrecker Service and well be going before the judge soon begin the process of rectifying this situation. Again I strongly discourage anyone from using HOLT Wrecker Service of Athens Texas.

My truck with slide in camper on Saturday night night broke down 6 miles away from Athens.I am from MN and did no know who to call. A gentleman asked if I needed help. He called Holt and they not only towed me to their garage, but let me plug into their electric service panel so I could stay on the property in my camper overnight. Their repair shop is normally not open on Sunday, but they replaced my alternator and got me down the road again! Incidentally, another guy in a vehicle pulled up Saturday night and asked if I needed help. Come to find out the wife of this person was the business’s daughter. He helped the wrecker connect my truck to wrecker! Very good honest reliable. Athens TX is best place to break down!!! Thank everyone so much.

Very knowledgeable people who charge a fair rate on their services. Not like others that will take advantage of you. I would highly recommend this company for any wrecker services or auto and semi-truck repair. Theres not very much that Im aware of that they cant work on. They sell tires for just about anything that rolls and do tire mounting and repair also.

We drove over a sharp curb and gashed/flatted the motorhomes tire. They had the right size tire in stock and were able to get to us and change it out within a little over an hour. (Unfortunately, AAA didnt have them listed as mobile tire repair, so it took is some searching and word of mouth to find them - but once we did, AAA took care of the service call and mounting, and all we had to pay for was the tire itself. ) Thanks to Robert for being so quick, friendly, and hard working in the hot, hot sun today, and getting us back on the road quickly.

Had to call after hours for blowout on trailer tire. Tech met us at shop. Ended up buying 4 new tires on trailer. Prices were good and service charge was less than I expected. Will definitely bring back my business and highly recommend them. Great work guys! Techs attitude was great for being called out late too.

Today while dealing with this while not being a able to work still I decided to do a little fishing out at Coleman park to pass the time in these stressful situations. I parked in the grass pass the wood poles because other people were parked pass there as well. While fishing I hear what sounds to be a tow truck approaching my car from where I was fishing. I ran back to my car to find 2 APD cars and a tow truck not even near my car yet. They told me to pay $125 now even tho the tow truck was not hooked up to my car at all or to have them tow it and pay 250 at the lot. I understand everyone is hard on money rn but these guys drive 1.5 miles to where I was to get my car never hooked up never dropped the bed never even put in gloves. This place might know what they are doing towing wise but when it comes to that quick dollar they will do anything to get it. Not the first time I have heard this and now I witnessed it. I have never had a problem out of Britts towing off of 31 going towards malakoff if y’all ever need a tow I would call them!

Broke down on Christmas Day 2018 with two toddlers and a pregnant wife on our way home to San Antonio and they were Johnny on the spot (on Christmas Day) to help us. I work for OGD Equipment co and Holts does all of our towing needs. Broke down hauling a gooseneck 20 miles out of Ft worth they brought a wrecker and a truck to get our gooseneck back. Great professional service. Highly recommend this company.

Terrible company and nasty people. These people sent me a certified letter saying they had impounded my car and I owed them $1,084.95 with fees being added every day. The problem is that is wasnt my car. I had sold it many months before and the title had been transferred. When I had the audacity to ask them to send me corrected paperwork showing I didnt owe them anything, the woman yelled at me, called me rude and hung up the phone. Even after they send me a threatening letter via certified mail demanding over $1000, she thought that I was rude to ask her for something in writing clarifying their error. If you live near Athens and need somebody to tow your car, call anybody except Holts Wrecker Service.
