Our 50-gallon water heater burst and it was a mess, water flooded everywhere, under the cabinets to all the way outside of the house, behind the shower wall, and inside my husbands closet. Theyve had to do a lot of water mitigating, drying the inside of the walls, measuring dampness levels, treating for mold, etc. Miguel was the first to arrive. He was highly professional and detailed as he surveyed the impact of the water on the various areas of the house,very efficient. They use a teamwork approach, someone comes every day to actually measure how much dampness is still left or not so they can adjust the dehumidifiers, move them around, or remove them as needed. We have been able to contact them day and night! We are very happy with Miguel Orellana, VJ, and the other crew members who have been here.

This company is fraud. The good reviews are their own employees or relatives and friends of this unethical company. They came to do my water damage mitigation, poked several holes in my cabinets, and left their equipment here for several days. Each day they came to check and left immediately. I was billed $4500. I called and they refused to provide the actual work performed. The girl claimed to be the manager (she didnt provide her name), argued with me even though she has no clue what the work was performed. THIS COMPANY IS UNETHICAL. CHARGING INSURANCE SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT WITH NO WORK PERFORMED ACCORDING TO CODE. I ashamed of this company for being unethical and overcharging customers.

The first gentleman came and removed wet, damaged flooring and took it away. He then placed several fans a dehumidifier and an air scrubber in the affected areas and left them running 24/7 for four days to ensure everything was dried out. The second gentleman removed the equipment, checked for moisture then cleaned our air vents. Both men were courteous and professional. The work was done to our satisfaction but hope we never have to do this again.

Miguel and his assistant came to our home to do an inspection and evaluation of our water damage. They were very thorough and extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and informative. When our claim was denied by our Ins. Co., both Miguel and Savannah (Billing Dept.) were very caring and instrumental in providing info to help get our claim approved. I highly recommend this Co. and especially thank Miguel and Savannah for all of their efforts.

Miguel was very informative. But the technicians were lousy. After nine weeks I finally have walls back up in utility room. No thanks to AWD they are a shady company. Damaging more than needed. Overcharging insurance company adding more services that were not provided. Could not get Miguel to answer any calls r messages. First day the tech was 2 hours late and hateful. Was here maybe 20 minutes making a mess and leaving draining tube in kitchen sink laying over dishes! TERRIBLE COMPANY!! Insurance companies do not support them. AWD pays plummers to recommend them. BE WARE OF AMERICAN WATER DAMAGE!

They did a great job dealing with my water damage issue. They were able to come to my house the day the plumber found the mold in my walls. AWD did a moisture reading on the floors and walls to help determine the extent of the damage. The reps I dealt with were professional, prompt and experienced. Im grateful for their help and would definitely contact them if I have a similar issue in the future.

The winter of 2020-2021 caught the whole area unprepared so we understood the challenge with making and keeping set appointments, American Water Damage worked us into their schedule and came and set up a dehumidifier and fans to dry the walls and floors soaked from a frozen, busted pipe to mitigate further damage. We were able to talk with Tina pretty easily throughout the process.

He guided me to follow a different process first to make sure I received the best services for right price. I very much appreciate his direction, ethics, and kindness.

What a rip this company is dishonest. Pure and simple do not use them. They will try and take advantage of you for barely any work. 5k charged to me and they were at my house 2 hours total. Call anyone else.

Chis did excellent work with the remodeling estimation and answering questions during process. The remodel crew did outstanding work. Lisa and her crew were great in moving furniture out and bringing it back. The water remediation crews were respectful and did good work. If not for a certain individual in the A/R department this would be a pleasant experience but due to the A/R employee I have bad taste of management and office functions

Have not had a working bathroom since November 12. My insurance payed them directly for the remediation and partial demo. I have still not heard back on the restoration. I signed a contract and gave 300 down payment. I have had a check from the adjuster, minus what they hold for completion since early January. I cannot get anyone to return my calls, I have no idea what’s going on. I’m scared to go with another company since I signed a contract and have read horror stories about liens on homes. I have left several messages. Guess next step is BBB complaint. I don’t know what else to do.

Steve Smith came today to give me an estimate on rebuild. I would have been much happier with him on the first visit than the other general manager. Steve listened to my questions and to my description of what happened with the water leaks. He didnt treat what I was saying as just talk. He really listened. He was very professional, knowledgeable and on time. I know rebuild is his department but if you had someone like him for the water mitigation there would be a better understanding between client and company. I would not have been fed up with the company if I had talked to Steve first. Thank you for sending this man for my rebuild estimate.4/13. Adding to my review. Calling AWD and not having to do anything else is a joke.Have not heard anything from AWD since 2 weeks ago when Steve Smith came after water mitigation was finished. Called and an excuse of not enough people to do work load was given. Hell! give it to me and Ill type up the bid. So much for first impressions. The company does not follow their own statements in the hold response. Ill listen and can give you 5 lies right off the bat from that. I was so disappointed with the mithation and their lack of response and now guess its the same with the whole company. Managers dont follow through and the office staff has to listen to irrate customers trying to get answers. Im calling some other contractors as tired of my kitchen being torn up, hole in ceiling and plastic on siding. This company is not what they claim to be.

They way over charged for services and when our insurance company questioned the bill and asked them for a revision on charges American Water damages put a lien on our house. Also, The lady in billing was very nasty when I asked to resend the itemized statement. Please stay away from this scam!!!!

They failed to order the carpet, causing a long delay. Didn’t come out with the upgraded padding we paid for. Did some damage to a vanity that they should have never touched. Did very shoddy work. Failed to show up on numerous appointments. It took 3 separate crews to actually fix the damage in the bathroom and to this day they have not properly installed the carpet. Steve (salesman)and Matthew (branch mgr) in my opinion are very unprofessional. They will skip appointments and leave you hanging, but will not give a courtesy call to inform you they cannot make the scheduled appointment. I gave them one star because negative stars were not an option. Please find a reputable company if you have a need for this kind of service.

Nestor at American Water Damage was great! He contacted out insurance company and started the claims process, including sending pictures. He and his assistant did all of the work including breaking down a bed, taking up carpeting and removing baseboards. They determined where all of the water damage occurred and placed fans and dehumidifiers as appropriate. About a half hour after he left I noticed water was dripping from a fitting where the hose connects to the dehumidifier, onto our tile floor.. I sent him a text with pictures and unexpectedly he turned around and came back to correct the problem. Thats customer service! They put our minds at ease after a stressful day. I highly recommend the company and Nestor and his partner!

Please do your research before hiring this company!!!! Check on Yelp and read all of their reviews! I wish I did before using them. Got a bill for almost $6k from them to bring in a few air movers and 2 dehumidifier for 4 days. Make sure you ask them what you are being charged before they do ANY WORK!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!!

Simply stated: Horrible service, prices are incredibly high and minimal work was done.

I really wish I would have read their reviews before using them. This is a horrible company to work with. Some details: They gave me an estimate of $4600 to dry out severe water damage in one of my rentals. I had to call them multiple times to ask for an invoice and then they sent my insurance company a $10,000 bill ... with no details. Just an email saying pay us $10,000. They also sent them a bill for the remodel which was 99% done when they sent they email. If they would have returned my phone calls they would have know this. Dont ever use them

Micheals excellent customer service experience was displayed , he was friendly professional and helpful with the viewing of our water damage, that our hot water heater has caused, he didnt give us some ridiculous estimate in his finally conclusion of the damage. They did a good job of drying the floor and the peer beams.

I am sooo disappointed in this company. They were suppose to completely remodel my bathrooms. My shower looks like it was done by someone who had no idea what they were doing. The tile is crooked, the grout is Very uneven, and there is chunks of grout on floor. They painted the grout to make it look better, but it looks horrible. The wood under door is starting to rot where it has been leaking due to rubber thing on bottom of door put on wrong. They put bench on wrong and nothing what I asked. The floors of bathroom they put wrong color of grout. The first contractor stole my original shower door and used my tools and went thru my kitchen drawers. There is much more, but too much to type. I didnt even talk about my main bathroom. Worst experience and they will not work with or return phone calls. Instead they put a lien on my house!

I thought this would be a great company to help me out in time of need. They came to my house, set up their dehumidifier and fans, and the dehumidifier never worked! What makes this worse is that they are charging me over $2k for fans for 3 days. They are in the business of ripping off insurance companies and people!To resolve, I tried to discuss with the office manager. She was rude as ever and told me that Im responsible regardless if their equipment worked or not. Terrible company! Their Google review doesnt account for their honesty and professionalism.A few things you should:- Dont sign anything until the job is DONE!- They charge over $600 to set up their equipment. If you are paying out of pocket, purchase your own equipment. I had to buy my own fans and dehumidifier and it worked and wasnt as loud as their equipment.- Dont trust their representatives to do their job. They came to my house each day and said they fixed the dehumidifier and they didnt. They even submitted documentation stating that everything worked correctly.After releasing the equipment, I documented how the equipment never worked. The office manager sent me every document BUT THAT ONE. They are even dishonest with their documentation. Please watch out for this company!!!!

I explained on the phone that I need water pumped out from under my house. The guy showed up two and a half hours late, without the proper equipment and told me that he couldn’t do anything without pumping the water out first. All I needed was the water pumped out. But it wouldn’t be until the next day that he could get a pump over. Then he tried to sell me on services that I don’t need. They were recommended to me only because they could pump out the water “quickly.” The whole process itself took 24 hours. Not very quick if you as me.

The AC unit in our house leaked water and damaged the walls and floors of our house. Had American Water Damage out to dry it all and was quoted for a 3 day drying process. They came and checked the moisture levels the first 2 days as planned but then did not show up day 3...... or day 4...... or day 5. I had to call them to come get their fans that I unplugged on day 3. Still didnt pick up all their equipment I had to call them again to come out and get everything. When we got the bill we were charged for a 5 day drying. Now I know why they suddenly could not bother showing up.

I called American Water Damage after 2 weeks of waiting on my insurance adjuster to come to my home to inspect the water damage from a leaking bathtub drain. With a growing issue on my hand and unsure what to do in the situation, Rosalie took my call and was very attentive and sent the General Manager, Michiel Dodd to my home the same day. The following morning the adjuster was to be at my home between 9:00-9:30. Miguel Orellana, the project manager, was at my home at 8:50 to assist me with the meeting. He was SO knowledgeable, kind and companionate. The care and concern he showed with my two small children being in a home with mold, went beyond his call of duty. He walked the adjuster through my home with the affected areas and was able to use the meter to detect water in places you could not see. These are places the insurance company would have over looked because there was no visible damage to the floor. He was stern, yet professional and was able to fight on my behalf. Each tech (T.C., Terry and Nestor) that came out was always courteous and respectful of our property and to us. When it was time for the removal of equipment, James Greenwood came to our home and was also very professional and took the time to answer any questions and was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company and my only regret is I wished that I would have called them sooner. I hope that I am never faced with this type of situation again, but if so, I know who to call.

James was an exceptional representative for American Water Damage. He arrived at the designated appointment times, he explained what he would be doing each inspection, and kept us informed of his findings. He interacted with the insurance representative in a very professional manner.James was friendly and personable, as well as knowledgeable and qualified in his ability to complete the project in a timely and thorough manner. We came home from vacation to water dripping from our second floor to our first floor. Our plumber recommended American Water Damage. They came out within an hour and worked around my schedule. They were extremely efficient in getting their equipment started to protect our home. They communicated throughout the entire process, letting us know each day how the water remediation were going. They were honest about what was salvageable and what needed to be replaced. We had a very good experience beginning to end. They work directly with your insurance so you do not have to deal with that portion of payment which is very nice. Highly recommend! A big shoutout to Corey, Raul, and Ivan - all terrific, friendly, and hard working.

WARNING! This company is very quick at getting in when called and getting you to sign all the forms. They will tell you what you want to hear and then charge the insurance well above the pricing recommended. Alicia Alvarado in the AR Dept and she does not care about any customer service, but rather is more interested in collecting crazy amounts for their work. Beware. They will not quote you an amount and tell you they will deal with insurance. After they get what they can from insurance they go after you the customer. Do not use this company for busted water heater repairs in your home.

They actually ripped off my insurance company they put dryers in here underneath the house and in the bathroom cuz I had a link between both toilets and they didnt fix the leak but they had the blowers and and heaters in here which made my hot household so hot that I had to move into a hotel after seven days they came and took it all out because it didnt dry so I went a different route please dont use them they made me believe that I had asbestos also in my walls

American Water Damage was great to work with. They were very thorough and explained the process clearly. Corey was awesome to work with and was very professional.Edit: 1 week after they asked me to give a review, all work has pretty much stopped. They didnt communicate well with our adjuster and arent communicating with us. We are switching companies.

Had a water pipe bust, american water company was quick to someone out to help answer any and all questions we had. Mike and Christian were great. communicated well. answered all the questions we had. and ensured our house was safe for years to come!

I would give zero stars if possible. They were quick to estimate (and secure the job) and quick to repair the leak. However the repairs to the home caused by the leak is another story. Waited months to get the job even started and the process has been awful. Terrible communication not only to us but to their contractors. Zero project management. Started working with them in May and we are still trying to finish the job. Had to bring in or own contractor to do some of the work so we could move back in to the house. We were able to do ourselves more repair work in 2 days than they could so in 4 months. Unfortunately due to insurance we are tied to them to get this work finished. All that’s left is paint and it’s been weeks and still not done. More miscommunication between their office and contractors. Buyer beware. Read up on the Angie List complaints- I wish we had before signing the contract.

American Water Damage are fast and reliable. Miguel treated us with dignity and respect. He made sure that we were prepared to speak with our insurance adjuster about our needs pertaining to the damages caused by the event. I recommend AWD for any and every water damage needs.

They have dealt with the insurance and made the horror of having your house flooded with sewage water about as smooth as that can be. If I could give zero stars I would.They have sent me a bill for pack in & pack out - they moved furniture from two rooms of my house to another. The hours on the bill are 3X what was actually done, other services not provided, materials billed but not used. They want to charge me late fees and file a lien on my house when the bill is not legitimate.

Do not use this fraudulent and incompetent company nor allow them in your home. One of my family members used this company and it was and continues to be a nightmare. They are blatantly overcharging the insurance company for equipment never used and services never performed. The home is in worse condition than before AWD came in! The insurance companies dont question this companys invoices for some reason and theyre taking advantage of this. They screw people with their fine print and apparently dont care or want repeat customers. Just read other poor reviews here or any other site with reviews. BEWARE OF THIS CROOKED OUTFIT! Lock your doors if they show up! Were considering getting the media involved, reporting their insurance fraudulence to the proper authorities and taking both this company and the insurance company to court.

We have water damage caused by ac in the attic. American Water Damages was recommended by the plumber. Chris Campizi came to the rescue. He gave insight into options and set us on a course to dry out the walls and floors. Several other techs came to check daily and all were respectful of our home and our time. They were always courteous and honest with us.

These guys are extremely professional and know what they are doing. Chris was extremely helpful made sure that we were taken care of every step of the way. Would recommend these guys to anyone that is looking for honest guys with your best interest in mind.

American Water Damage technicians have done a great job drying out the rooms of our house after our hot water heater went out. They were in and out every day for a week checking the fans and other equipment. Each visit was scheduled in advance, and a courtesy call made when they were on their way. This is the second water event in our home; American Water Damage took care of us both times excellently!

My best friend and her husband used this company and they where charged over 6 thousand dollars for using their fans after water damage. Absolutely rediculous. These people and this company are total scam artist. To take advantage of people then when you get a ridiculously high bill and can’t pay it. They will put a lean on your home. I fully understand water damage can be expensive but charging someone thousands of dollars without their knowledge isn’t right. It’s a good way to be gouging people and taking advantage of people without their knowledge. Usually I would never say anything bad about a business but this disgusted me hearing this. Please people beware before you use this company don’t be like my good friend and owe thousands and thousands of dollars to use some fans.

AWD was a life saver for me. I had a water leak that damaged 2/3 of my home. They dried my floors, removed the wet flooring and cabinets. Then, they hired Chris. He came out and restored my home and it is beautiful. A big shout out to Amanda, Johnathon, Brian, Blake and Tracy. If it were not for your professionalism and kindness, I would have lost it. God bless all of you.

Their crews did a good job of removing water caused by a water heater failure. They were helpful to the insurance adjuster, as well. However, it was not always easy to get in touch with them.

I appreciated American water Damage For their quick response and solving all water damage they were very professional and explaining everything. My only small issues is I think they should where foodies or something Under neath or on top of their shoes so they do not track remnants of drywall into the house. I would recommend their services to someone else. They also will fight for you with your insurance company to make sure everything is done rightt and properly.

They responded very quickly and communicated very well throughout the process. Made the experience less stressful.

Workin with American Water Damage was great! From the first visit at midnight, through every subsequent visit to make sure everything was dry, we were very impressed with the company and their staff! Mike was great getting the equipment in and out of the house, removing our damaged floors, and being very courteous. All other technicians provided the same level of service, as well.

Blake , Oscar, and Ed did a great job with the pack out and bringing things back.

Had a hot water leak under the house and it caused a LOT of damage. We called AMWD late on a Friday night and they came immediately to start. the drying process. Christian was knowledgeable, reliable and helpful. So we used AMWD to make repairs as well. Steve was able to meet with my Adjuster and with his knowledge/experience, helped us get all the work done that was needed. Cassie and other staff members were so friendly and helpful with all questions. We are so pleased with all the work that was done and so glad to be back home
