Ryan just left my home and I cant tell you how grateful I am that I called this company over others. I called them out when one of our big trees suddenly dropped a huge branch on our lawn which spurred concerns about our other trees (our property has large mature oak trees) . I wanted someone to come out who would truly be honest about the health of my trees without pushing they be cut down if they can be saved. Ryan was exactly what I was looking for. He was extremely knowledgeable and was detrimental to helping me understand the health and condition of all of my trees. He walked me through my options, gave me his honest opinions and answered all of my questions and concerns. You can tell he cares about our environment and conservation, he has a huge respect for trees and I highly valued that in him. Often times its easy to be taken advantage of when youre not knowledgeable in the subject and you feel theyre pushing you into doing something thats all about money. He was nothing like that, and from the beginning when I called their office and Shelley answered the call, they make you feel that they truly care. I did a lot of research to ensure that the company that came out would do what was best for the trees rather than suggesting they be cut down first. And Im so happy I called them out. I ran into them down the street on another job and was impressed with their equipment. I liked the idea of hiring a crew not just a couple of guys with chainsaws. What I got was a well-oiled machine with their own trucks, wood chipper, stump removers, multitudes of chainsaws of different sizes, and the long poles and handsaws you need for detail work. They can do so much more work with all the right tools. My trees look beautiful, and they timed their day to leave an hour for clean up. All the men were gentleman - receptive and willing to help with whatever request I had. This is the crew you want. They care about trees and doing good work. They take joy in it. And they get along with each other. It was a fun experience all around and I would love to have them back every year. You can tell they know what theyre doing and no one is going to get hurt on the job. Safe and professional. I would recommend Treehugger Tree Service for tree jobs large & small! Ryan Elliott & his top notch team did a great job of cabling 3 trees that are within inches of the house & raising the tree canopy around the house in preparation for a new roof. They also left me the wood chips for mulch. Out of the of tree companies which bid on the project, Ryan, as a certified arborist, listened, analyzed the issues and provided the most robust, comprehensive solution.

Sometimes you just need a professional. I am a very handy person and a serious DIY person. But I had some tree issues and planting strategies and all the google searching and youtube videos was not getting me answers. I called up Treehugger. Shelly bent over backwards to get Ryan out to my house. He came out and gave me priceless advice and recommendations about my trees and had many more ideas I had not thought of. We had a huge Ash tree that died during the winter storm. Ryan Elliott from Treehugger evaluated the tree for me with the very sad news it needed to be removed. His 5 man crew worked nonstop from 8:00 til after 6:30 pm removing this tree. This removal was done safely; the tree was over Fielder Road and our house. The crew cleaned the street and our yard. I could not have been happier with their work or the knowledge they they had in their job. Thank you so very much.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, we lost our water oak tree to the Texas Freeze of February 2021. We had Ryan visit in May to assess the health of our water oak and provide an official diagnosis after the tree did not leaf in the Spring. Sadly, the tree needed to be removed. Once again, cue Ryan and his amazing Treehugger crew. They removed the tree safely, guiding each large limb down using a system of ropes and weight balancing, avoiding damage to our roof and driveway. They safely dropped the trunk on the grass (the tree was located between two driveways) and ground the stump to make the area usable for adding other plants. Once again, the whole crew was professional, friendly, and used fairly quiet equipment. Treehugger Tree Service did a great job trimming several trees in my yard. They not only cleared out dead wood and too many branches choking out others, but they also cut with the future health and growth of the tree in mind. My goals were 1) get branches off the house and garage, 2) remove dead wood so my kids would be safe playing under them, 3) provide proper clearance over sidewalks, road, and driveway, and 4) ensure healthy trees in the future. Shelley is the receptionist/scheduler and she is very sweet and friendly when you call to make an appointment or have any questions. Ryan is the arborist and he is AWESOME! He knows his stuff and I trust him 100% when it comes to my almost 200 year old tree. He recommends only what is necessary and tells me the truth what doesn’t need to be done. Treehugger did a great job on our trees. I really appreciated the way Ryan listend to my concerns and then walked me through his plan for the trees. He kept what was best for the trees in mind the whole time but also cut them so they enhance the appearance of the home.They clean up was excellent as well and well be having them back in May to try and improve the health of our Pecan tree.This is a quality company run by someone who has great knowledge and cares. As a former tree care specialist who retired early for to a bone tumor on my leg that disabled me, I am always looking for tree services that can live up to my expectations. Let me tell you, there are some really bad service providers out there, but Treehugger Tree Service is not one of them. He was very polite and took the time to educate me about my trees and provided some recommendations. Ryan trimmed our large oak trees in the front yard and trees over the pool in the back. He also recognized the trees were interfering with the pool decking and placed growth inhibitor to prevent further damage. When they were done they cleaned up my yard like they were never there. He sure knows trees and treats your house like his own. I recommend Ryan and his crew to everyone I know.
