I love this place! Every time I visit Texas I go back, they have a delicious selection of beers and theyre always changing their menu. Their staff are very knowledgeable, they also sell flights and growlers and will refill your growlers, and they also have a nice selection of bottled beers as well. I should also mention that they dont serve food but you can order from J. Gilligans Bar & Grill next door and theyll deliver your order to Kool Keg and you can eat it there. The overall establishment and bathrooms are also super clean and they have a TV to watch sports. Highly recommend!!

The initial conversation and arrangements on what I wanted and expected for my event was great. The man that helped me was very informative and said he could get me everything I wanted. I didn’t want to have to worry about a thing and he assured me that he had it covered. The day before the event I called to confirm everything, I was told they ran out of beer cups, I was getting cases of coke cans (not what I requested) and they gave me such a hard time about the delivery “widow”. I tried to stay calm and ran to sams to get cup for all the drinks I had requested. I mean I could have bought the sodas at sams had I known that’s what they were going to give me. I called back to give them the venue managers number and assure them that someone would be there when they showed up, the minute he answered the phone I hear in the back round “yea it’s her again” followed with laughter. I was Mortified, they were so rude I was in tears. Not the stressed I needed the day before a big event! I will not be using them again and definitely would not recommend them.

Lovely place for craft beers especially local and extraordinary. They have flights which let one try a number for an enhanced beer experience. Of course, they fill growlers and they also carry a large assortment of bottled beers. With a friendly staff, there’s not much more to ask. I’d drop them 1/4 star for lack of food, even finger food. I go there to fill my growler or to try their wonderful selection of drafts. But they also have a ginormous selection of bottles chilled or on the shelf.

Its a nice and clean place, has a real hipster vibe to it, chill music, its cheap beer but doesnt taste like it. A nice place to hang out and chill with your friends. The Ales are pretty good, don’t like the dark beers much. They also have this really good Irish cream beer, I’m kicking myself for not asking for the name of it

The bartender tonight was super racist to us. My sister and I came in because the hours say they are open until 12 am. We walked in at 11:15 pm. There were plenty of people sitting in there drinking but he turned us away claiming they closed early due to it being slow. All the people in there were white( no surprise). Definitely not returning. We used to be regulars. Sticking to On Tap now. If you want to patron bars that discriminate go here.

Went to Kool Keg to get some help with a home draft beer setup. I was immediately helped by the staff, who went above and beyond to help me solve my CO2 regulator issue. While I was there, I bought some drinks to take home. Overall, my second trip here, and both times I got top notch service and the folks here know their business. I will be back and do more shopping as soon as I can. Perfect example of a great community small business.

Asked for a sample of a particular beer to try which is fairly normal and they went ahead and filled up a 4 ounce.... ok.... didnt ask for the drink but was given it anyways. My tab then showed that this 4 oz beer was 8 dollars. Me and my friends are regulars and normally they are 2 to 3 dollars... I asked the bartender and they were extremely rude about it. I would like to be contacted about this experience.

Sadly, was excited for this place. Only had around 6 types of 1/6 barrels on hand. Had my CO2 filled, but got home to find that they had not filled it. Called to get refunded, and the employee argued stating he filled it. Not hard to tell there was no gas when you open the bottle. So, $174.00 bucks for a 1/6 barrel. No thanks.

This is one of my favorite places to relax and have a nice cold beer, with a nice selection of craft beers, that are rotated on tap to select. Im always finding something new to enjoy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and can offer you something that youre sure to enjoy.

One step into Kool Kegs and I was immediately put at ease. A very classic old wood style that doesnt come off as trying too hard. Great selection with knowledgeable and friendly peeps. Without question the fill station deserves to be registered as a historical landmark as it is one of a kind. Any micro brewery enthusiast wont be able to go in without cracking a smile of joy.

This is a great little place to meet with friends and have a good quality drink. The bartender was super nice and very helpful in assisting me with deciding on a craft brew to try anew, he was very good too! What he suggested was exactly what I was wanting, White Mastodon Lager agreed perfectly with my particular taste preferences for beers! The whole atmosphere was one of mellow, laid-back, friendly energy, I will definitely be going back, the beers are a little on the pricey side, but during happy hour their discounts are substantial and the beer and service IS MOST DEFINITELY WORTH EVERY CENT! If youre looking to try a new beer or looking for a relaxing place to hang out with good people, Kool Keg is the tap room to be at. The staff are the best in the business and the 30 taps are always changing to something new. If you really like something, theyll fill any growler you have or you can take home a crowler (32oz can) for drinks at home.

Tried to buy a keg and old guy didn’t seem to like being bothered. Taproom seemed cool but didn’t go in. I usually use parkit market in Dallas for kegs and wanted to try a closer option to the house but I just left. I don’t mind driving extra 30 minutes for better customer service.

These guys really know craft beer. Tgey carry a few bottles, not many, but they are high end bottles. They consistently rotate their taps so theres always something new to try. The are also a Growler Fill place and have a phenomenal system for filling growlers to ensure your beer stays fresh longer. They also get in rare beers on occasion. If you live close to Arlington you need to check them out! Cheers!

Ok... some great microbrews. I got help with the keg.. and didnt ask. Would have as I have 3 disks in my neck jacked up. Tipped the lad a 20... just for being cool. And I was pushing close too... was stuck in Friday traffic and had a party the next day. He was was waiting for me... and didnt make a peep! So j bought him his 1st round after close. Prices spot on and I bought a Deep Ellum Dallas Blonde.. wow.. was a hit!!

I have been buying all of my kegs of beer from Kool Keg for over 34 years and have had good service during that time until recently.I agree with someone else’s comment that the guy behind the counter couldn’t care less about the customers that are buying kegs. I have been filling my CO2 bottle for kegs all those years at Kool Keg at no charge as a service because I bought my Kegs there. I went in today to get my CO2 bottle filled and the guy behind the counter acted like I was bothering him and he charged me $25.97 to fill my CO2 bottle. This added to the increasing prices on kegs makes the keg service at Kool Keg very expensive. I think Kool Keg just lost a long time customer. I’m sure the guy behind the counter again couldn’t care less!!!I agree with other good comments about the craft beer side of Kool Keg!

Ill start out with the one thing I liked: ambianceThis place is nice and cozy with an impressive tap wall.Whats not so impressive:-The prices are way too high. $18 for a flight of 4 4 oz pours...Ive never heard of such a thing.-The beer selection: There werent any beers there that really appealed to me and I love trying new things. Most of the beers offered were odd or experimental like a beer steeped in hemp seeds or a beer made to taste like ramen cup of noodles. Wont be heading back.Edit: I do need to throw in some credit for great, friendly service!

Great staff and great beer selection. The other night a bartender named Christian recommended an IPA than cleared my acnea, cured my sleep apnea, raised my credit score by 200 points, and caused me to grow the manliest beard most people have seen. Highly recommend this place, the best for a cold beer and good company.

Id assume that a bar tender should know how to read an out of state ID. Disappointed because I really enjoyed kool keg until I was treated so rudely. Maybe he hasnt been bar tending long but he needs to be able to at least scan the ID, I dont know of any bar that cant scan to confirm. Took my business elsewhere tonight and had a blast.

Kool Keg is a sister bar to Hooligans which is just around the corner and down a walking alley. Kool Keg is the craft beer and growler bar you always wanted but didnt know was there. Its a small, wonderfully appointed, classy bar that just feels right every time you walk in. The management very obviously cares about not just beer, but the entire beer experience and have made sure that the staff is up to snuff.The Digital Pour menu on the all (alongside the Digital Pour app) gives you an easy snapshot of whats on tap. And the state-of-the-art draught and counter-fill wall is a sparkling joy to behold. The staff always uses appropriate glassware for the style (Spiegelau for the greater part) that has been immaculately cleaned and rinsed before the pour which means you will almost always get the proper amount of head on your beer.In addition to that, Kool Keg is also a package store, which means theyve got an entire wall of beer available for purchase to go. In an area that is soon to be rife with places to drink, Kool Keg is an absolute pearl.

If you enjoy a fully bodied beer this is the place, nice ambience, last time I went they didnt had a beer menu instead they have a flat screen in the room with all its inventory prices and how much is left on the keg.

The bartenders are very knowledgeable about craft beer 🍺. Kool Keg has the absolute best growler fill stations in the metroplex, the system they use sanitizes your growler, then pushes all oxygen out of the bottle prior to adding beer. This gives you a growler fill that will last several weeks and stay fresh.

Fantastic rolling beer selection and the digital menu tells you how much is left. The staff is awesome and the growler fills are an artistic performance.

Jeff is the most helpful guy you can find - hes friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and even helped me troubleshoot my kegerator tank setup. I havent purchased a keg here yet, but they seem to have a good selection on hand, and Ill bet they can find and order pretty much anything to suit. They also offer a decent selection of craft brews in four/six-pack bottles and cans. I was most excited about the fact that they offer CO2 tank refills for my home kegerator. My next keg purchase will be from Kool Keg.
