Went there for an oil change. The bolt on the oil pan was rounded they told me to go get it welded so the bolt would be easier to take out. I did that called back to see if the had a bolt or if I needed to pick one up. They told me that they couldn’t work on the car at all anymore. I brought a groupon and they redeemed it but didn’t even get any service.

Untrained staff just ruined my car oil change. Poured 5w-30 in a 5w-20 engine inspire of me warning them. Just convinced me nothing would happen. Now my car fuel economy got ruined. Better to keep trained staff

Went in to sign in for a oil change that I purchased off of Groupon not good customer service no one even greeted to say they will be with me to even know what type of service that I needed I waited 10 minutes no one came so I left and went on Groupon and traded for another place that does oil change..

Stood at the desk for 20 minutes, never did a single.person even greet me or say theyll get with me soon. Left and went elsewhere and was done quickly and nicely.

I would be cautious about this shop. I went in because my check engine light was on and they said it would cost $90 to check the code and diagnose the issue. They did said they would deduct that amount from the total cost of repair, but in my opinion that is a STEEP up-front cost for something that I may not even need a mechanic to repair—especially when many mechanics (or even Auto Zone) will help you diagnose the issue for free w/o any sort of conditions attached. They may have great service but this practice didn’t sit well with me, so I went elsewhere.They also have “Wednesday Ladies Day,” which seems odd and unnecessary.

Got my used car fix twice here. They first fix a leak then they were able to fix a piece that wouldnt allow me to pump gas on the car. The prices are reasonable for the amount of labor out into the car. The mechanics here are amazing. They will figure out whats wrong and do their best to fix it. Strongly recommend.

Quoted me 400 to replace a blowermotor, took all the refrigerant out of my system and told me my compressor was bad and Quoted me 1200$ on that too, 100$ blower motor, 20 dollar can of refrigerant, and some googling and now my ac works good as new with no problems at all

Great service and they have my trust. After having some mechanical issues fixed they showed me the old parts and walked me through all that had been done. All at a reasonable price too. The new management went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

Service was not great. Very slow. Asked to replace the left brake light. Turns out there were two lights out but they neglected to catch that. Not sure that I would go back.

I have a 2011 equinox that has 44,000 miles on it and has not been serviced in probably three years I went to Kwik Kar in this location because it was closer to my home. I needed an oil change and also my car inspected. The mechanic came out and showed me my filter which was absolutely disgusting then explain to me that my front brake pads were pretty bad not terrible but getting there, then said my transmission fluid was bad, now not having been serviced I figured as much. The young man then quoted me and told me I probably could wait and come back later on some work to split the cost and make it easier on me. I was very pleased with the work ,The communication together, also the time it took to do the work. I will be coming back, I am sorry some feel differently, again so I am very pleased

So I took my car to this place couple of months ago for a oil change. Oil change was due and so I took it to a shop to get it done and they told me that the oil plug is stripped and that I would have to have my oil pan completely changed out since the oil plug is stripped. You take your car to a place and trust them with it but apparently you can’t trust them with your car.

Love this place. The staff is friendly and was pleasantly surprised at how much they can do there. Not only can I get my oil changed but they have a mechanic on duty as well. The pricing was completely fair and I didnt feel like I was getting hustled. Its hard to find someplace to go as a woman dealing with car issues but I will definitely be back.

They rip people off. They do work on your car and in less than a year sale the business to someone else then tell you they can’t warrant the others guy’s work.There is no way I should have to replace a valve cover gasket in less than a year On a 2008 Toyota Scion.These guys are scammers and if I didn’t need my car to get to work I would tell them to go to hell.

I didnt like this o place because I believe they are skimping for sales. My partner and I went at different times on different days for a vehicle inspection, he was told he needed new windshield wipers to pass and so was I. Funny thing is, I had just purchased wipers under 6 months prior. I always good rainx and they last long. So beware if you visit this place, they may try to get you to purchase something not needed.

I have had brake issues on my car for the last three months. Upon taking it to this shop, i was told i had a bad master cylinder and thats why my brake pedal had been repeatedly getting weaker. It was strange as I had already replaced it just months earlier but they said it was defective. So i paid 375 for that. Then low and behold it happens again. So i tell them it must be taking air in somewhere and it was almost certainly misdiagnosed about having a bad master cylinder. I am told now it had a bad wheel cylinder. They quoted me another 212 for that and told me that was the best deal they could make. I do give them kudos for finding the leak, but i dont agree with their business practices. They said they would not lower the bill even though i already paid so much for a service I didnt need. I got my car out and had it fixed that day by another local shop for 110. If you care about commitment behind your dollar, do not take your car here.

For the first time by a friends recommendation I went to the shop today. The service was great!! They suggested some fluids that needed to be changed, i trusted them and did it. Came home to compare the print out I got from honda and they did all that for a lot cheaper. Im glad to find a place that I can trust and affordable. I will defiantly go back! Thanks!

I am The Lube Service Manager/Certified State Inspector at this location. Ive noticed a lot of negative comment in regard to the wait times of State Inspections. Honestly, a 10-15 minute wait is about average for 99% of the shops you will visit but we here at Kwik Kar Meadowbrook apologize for any inconveniences to our customers. We try our absolute best to accommodate each and every one of our customers and make the experience here with us as pleasant and smooth as possible. I am new to this location but I have been Manager of our other location on Camp Bowie Blvd. in Fort Worth for a while now and if you care to read the reviews from that location, you will see that most of our customers are happy with our level of customer service. Update: I got an oil change for my truck. They told me the wrong oil was put in last time, and it was at that location. No damage I hope. Anyway, it is new ownership, so they should have a fresh start. I will be going elsewhere.

Told me I had to replace my oil plug. Really? It was only the 3rd time it was ever serviced. First 2 were at the dealer.Steering wheel was oily and grease mark on center console.

Customer service was poor at the front counter. The restrooms didnt have any toilet tissue or paper towels. Plus they charged us more than the price that was told to us initially. The customer service at the register, definitely needs to get better!

The guys at this shop are the best. The manager is so helpful. They will have my business as long as I am in the area, and considering I have lived within 10 miles of this place that will probably be a long time.

This place completely sucks. They’re very unprofessional and thieves. Their diagnostic doesn’t work at all, two minutes they tell u this is what has to be fixed and this is the price and few hours later they come with a new things and want to overcharge you. I took my car there for a check engine light and they didn’t even work on it they open the hood and didn’t fix anything at all and made me pay and came with other two issues they didn’t mention early...DONT GO THERE IF U WANT TO FIX UR CAR. So I thought I was getting a great deal by going here. I was quoted $59.99 for an oil change over the phone. When arriving I was told due to the type of filter I have, itll be $10.00 extra dollars. Ok cool. This brings my total to $69.99 not including taxes. When it was time to pay, I ended up dishing out $88.00 - I was furious! I asked the mechanics what I was being charged for, and they advised me that an additional qrt was added WITHOUT ANYONE ASKING IF THIS WAS OK WITH ME PRIOR . They just did the work and charged me for it. This is NOT the way to run a reputable business and I WILL NOT return. **THIS IS NOT AN HONEST BUSINESS**

Do not trust this place. I went in to get an alignment and to check why my steering wheel was rattling. They told me they couldnt get it to allign properly due to a bent steering rack and then proceeded to give me a quote on the repair. ($1400). I went elsewhere for a second opinion where not only did he align my car but also told me that the part I needed was on a service bulletin and that Kia had an extended warranty and pointed me in the right direction to get it fixed for free at the dealer....soo long story short, dont trust this place when theyre trying to con you into huge (or small) repair jobs.

TLDR: Great place. Not sure why there are bad reviews. Polite, ethical, prompt, candid. Would absolutely recommend this place to my neighbors.Nothing but positive experiences here. Ive been bringing my cars here for the last two years. Of all the places to get your oil changed and contrary to some of the other reviews, the staff here seem generally knowledgeable, are always polite, have made recommendations but are never pushy about them and have even on at least one occasion candidly told me that I could get a service done cheaper at the dealership due special nature of the fluid used. Ive never once felt like they were trying to scam me into buying services I dont need and in fact on at least two occasions, theyve specifically pointed out services I dont need because the wear/levels look acceptable.Recently, I bought a used 2013 Ford Focus ST. It had a recalled wiring harness (main engine) that the dealer was giving me a hard time about (the recall service was performed incorrectly and the dealer stated Well, Ford is only going to pay to fix it once, even if it wasnt done right the first time. Dealer quoted me at over $1200 to perform the labor alone. I had recently spoken with Moe at this shop (noticed an engine hoist in the far bay and asked if they had a mechanic) and learned that they have a fully certified ASE mechanic and their rates were nearly half the dealers hourly rates. I brought my car in, spoke to Justin (the mechanic) personally and although hes young, he gave me every confidence he could do the job right and would do it to my standards as well. They got the job done for under $600, put everything neatly back where it went, and Justin even went so far as to comment on the sloppy work the dealer had previously performed...which only served to further assure me that we were operating on similar standards.This was a few weeks ago. I always wait some time before writing a review in case something comes up. I have no complaints at all. Theyve absolutely earned my repeated business and trust.

Theyre efficient, fast abd very professional. The new manager, Mason is a man of his word. The company they use for towing in that area only charged $60 for the tow. Great job!

This place is nothing but crooks. Watch out for this place. They will steal stuff out of your car, and the guy T that works there is very rude and unprofessional. He swears like a sailor and doesnt know the first thing about customer service. Not only that, but he wreaked of Marijuana so I know he gets high on the job. Honestly they don’t even deserve one star after switching to new management in May. I’ve been going here for 8 years with all 3 of my vehicles. In one visit they quoted me $400 to fix something that didn’t need to be fixed AND only actually costs $220 to be fixed. They charged me twice in 4 months for a transmission fluid service and wouldn’t refund me. They charged me $284 to fix a leak that they never actually fixed and wouldn’t honor their work to try and fix again. They quoted me $620 to fix my radiator which doesn’t need to be fixed after talking with two other mechanics. $620 is also 3x what other mechanics quoted if it needed to be fixed. They claimed that these were “human error” but honestly they’re just a bunch of liars and nobody should take their car here. After 8 years they’ve burned this bridge.Edit: 12/11/17I spoke with the store owner a second time and he did what he could to resolve some of the issues I had with the service on my Jeep. I wont be coming back to this shop but there was at least some effort to fix my problem. Ive given them 3 stars rather than 1 for this reason.

I came in because my car was shaking pretty badly. My dad said it was probably somethinh with the spark plugs. Got a diagnostic at Kwik Kar and upon hetting the feedback of what was wrong, I was given a laundry list of things that the worker stated I needed to get done. After weeding through what was really wrong, and why it was shaking he finally said it was a coil misfire and you need to change 2 spark plugs and two coils the total bill was $795?????? Seriouly!! $350 for labor, which was to take off the lid he said! I was so freaking shocked I just told him to put my car back together and be on my way.After all that, I went to autozone got 8 sparkplugs for $12, had a guy at my job change them for free, he said it was really easy and couldnt believe they were gonna charge me almost $800. Then my husband bought 1 new coil for $50 and took the part out with a couple screws and put it back. My car has stopped shaking and I got a free tune up!So...after all that said...you tell me if I would have been ripped off by Kwik Kar!!!Seriously, this is why noone trusts anyone now a days. I damn near want to bring that crappy quote and my receipts back up there to show them how they tried to rip my off. My husband talked me out of it. Karma is a businesses worst nightmare!

Dont go to this place for mechanic issues. hold your car for a week. dont keep you updated. have you calling and calling... mechanic not there. not good letting you know what else they see that could be a problem for your car in the future. go for oil changes or get air in your tire. kwik kar is a good company. but this specific one. thumbs down.
