We called for an appointment to have a rug repaired. After inspection in their store, we were quoted a reasonable price. A rug expert repaired it in-store while we could wait. It was fascinating so see the expert repair our rug in the workshop.We felt very safe with the COVID-19 safety precautions in place. It is a big store with plenty of ventilation and open floor spaces they use to display rugs.They have a great selection of rugs on display. If you are in the market for a new rug, you should stop by. They sell real quality carpets for very reasonable prices that last for a long time. They also clean carpets. We have used them for cleaning in the past.They have a parking lot reserved for customers in front of the store.They have been in business for 100 years or so, and it shows. They know what they are doing and dont up sell. We didnt feel pressured in the store to buy new rugs while we waited, although we had to control ourselves as so many beautiful rugs are available.The shop is a good resource for anything one needs to know about oriental rugs.

We had our rug cleaned and repaired here and it looks good as new. Their prices are reasonable as well. I would highly recommend them.

I have been dealing with Mr. Manoukian for 47 years and have never been disappointed. He is a wonderful person; hes very knowledgeable, very accommodating, very patient, and honest as the day is long. And his prices are absolutely fair. He has gone to a lot of trouble looking for just the right rugs for us and for friends to whom I have recommended him. His employees who have delivered and installed rugs and carpeted our stairs have all been skilled and very pleasant. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I feel sure he is without an equal in the oriental rug business in our area. I would never go to any other rug merchant. He is the best.

I love the care that Manoukian Brothers takes, even with small textiles. Many years ago, when they were in Adams Morgan (DC), they carefully sewed a sleeve onto a wall hanging I bought in Peru. 17 years later, moths got to it, and I brought the piece to them again in their present location on Columbia Pike. This time, they (again, carefully) cleaned it, removed the sleeve, hand-sewed a backing onto it, hand-sewed around the holes to secure the weaving to the backing in those places, and put the sleeve on again. It looks beautiful. They do thoughtful, detail-oriented work, and they take time to tell you what they can and cannot do beforehand. I recommend them highly.

We have bought several beautiful rugs from Manoukian Bros. and absolutely love them all. Today we bought a Tabriz rug for our kitchen and again are so happy with it. Paul, Dona, and Mikael were very patient and helped us with our selection. We absolutely love the rug.

I brought a tired, dirty, soiled oriental rug to Manoukian Brothers to be cleaned. I was not anticipating much improvement. However, when I retrieved the rug, I was delighted. His team restored it and now I proud to display it in my home. Kudos all around to the magnificent Manoukian Brothers.

I would highly recommend this company for all of your carpet cleaning. I had two carpets cleaned and was very happy with the results. They did an excellent job. I was very impressed with the professionalism of their representative. He was very straight forward, knowledgeable about carpets and ready to share useful information. This company does not require payment until the job is complete and the customer is satisfied. This impressed me right away as I just dealt with another carpet cleaning company which required payment in advance.

Very knowledgeable and friendly family run store. Beautiful rugs at terrific sale prices as they transition from sales and rug servicing to servicing only. They allowed me to bring rugs home to try out without a deposit. They were not hard sell, but patiently helped me identify what might work best for my needs. Im sorry theyre going out of sales but am glad they will still be available for servicing. Excellent and honest customer service.

Cleaned my family’s wool and silk rugs

Manoukian Brothers repaired one of our old rugs and did a wonderful job. Paul, the owner was also very good at explain the difference between good and bad rugs. He could use laymens language that we understood and he showed us examples in his showroom. Great experience dealing with Paul.

I bought a beautiful Persian rug from Manoukian Brothers Oriental Rugs in October 2018. When I saw it in the store, I just fell in love with the colors: coral red and turquoise blue on a dark blue background. It is a Melayer rug and has stylized flower motifs – very cheerful. The price was very reasonable so I bought it on the spot. It is now adorning my bedroom floor and it is the first thing I see when I get up in the morning. A beautiful way to start the day!

What a gorgeous selection of rugs, an expert family of staff, and really great deals. We live in a tiny apartment with no room for any more rugs, but as soon as we move, we’ll go back for another!
