DONT DO IT!!! I bought a car in September/October 2017. I have 4 children and said why I needed it. They placed me in a car that was on a factory recall FROM MARCH 2017 for defective engine failure. My car shut off with me traveling 70 mph with my kids in the car. We were stranded for 2.5 hours waiting on help. I have attached copies of the recall I called to try and ask why they sold it to me and no one has called me back. I even posted to my facebook about it because I initially thought it was my transmission. My coworker told me to look up recalls, or I would have never known they sold me a car 6-7 months after the recall was initiated NATIONALLY! ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!!! I am contacting the better business bureau as soon as I can. Now I am starting over and wasted valuable money. If you value your life and the lives of your loved ones, DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!! Some people write bad reviews because they feel cheated later but knew the cost up front. They put my childrens lives in danger and that is something I can NEVER forgive as a father. They are my world.

Everything was fine. I rented from them from November until this month. Loved the team there. But, they decided to close permanently. Left me a vm to return the car. I called back and left a message. No response. A few days later, the car is gone WITH ALL OF MY STUFF INSIDE INCLUDING MY KAYAK. The 1.800 number knows nothing. It has been more than two weeks. I WANT MY STUFF BACK. NOW.

This place has been a nightmare to get on the phone. A friend of mine returned a vehicle to them almost 2 weeks ago now. They have been drafting $144 from her card everyday since she dropped off the car. She called once and was able to get someone saying that they were in the process of closing out her rental and she would be refunded. That was nearly a week ago.These good 5 star reviews all seem fake. Stay away from this place.

Pushy salesman and no selection of cars.

I was skeptical in renting a car at this location because of the reviews but let me give you my experience. As walking in the office it is small but workable clean and inviting. Janie was the second person that took over since the first young lady was already helping someone but still took the time to acknowledge me. There is a deposit but they will give it back to you in the next few days you turn in the vehicle. When checking the car she took the time to mark all was wrong with it just cosmetic nothing too serious the gas tank is full and you will have to return it full and clean just the way you rent it which is fare I would say. It was easy and smooth process and I will be going for my second rental again.

We rented a car from here. They were absolutely the best! I will easily rent another car from here. They were so nice and friendly. Seems shady at first but once you get in they are warm and welcoming. Definitely come here they will treat you like family

. I reserved a car and never picked the car up , and they told me that I couldn’t get my money back. I paid $188 and never ever test drove a car. They told me they could not refund the money . Worst experience ever . If I could give them zero stars I would !!!!

I rented from the 201 N Collins location in Arlington. Overall good experience. The Customer Service Representives are very kind and welcoming--especially Erin. My car was as expected and I had no issues with it. I do have a few not so great aspects of my rental experience: 1. $300 deposit to out of town renters. 2. This location opens at 7:30am but did not open until 7:50am. 3. My car was a bit dusty on the outside but I understand that was due to it sitting outside. But the inside wasnt cleaned as well as Im accustomed to with my past experiences with Dollar. I believe this was just one of those off days. This is why I still recommend this location and give them 4 stars. 😊

Shawnie was great tonight! After going to several places getting denied, we came here and got approved within a hour. She did just what she said she would, didn’t waste our time and got me & my fiancé approved together. Oh & down payment was low and monthly payments are low. Nice selection👌🏾

I am currently here and they are all awesome. The mechanics showed me they cared as soon as I got there. Showed me different rims and tires even went as far as to change the tire to show me how they looked . I will definitely be reccomending this place to everyone. Just read comments by other would be customers and their experiences and I was left wondering if that’s the same place I was at and got my car three days ago. I would have given them five stars, but I’m holding back one because I feel there’s need for improvement overall. Jennifer was AWESOME.

The staff is always great. Service is usually pretty quick unless their slammed with reservations. But even then they try to get you in and out asap

I had such a great experience with KK. She took my call over the phone and I told her my situation and she told me she would take care of me. I even told her my budget on payments and also what I wanted to put down. I got to the dealership and as promised I was not pressured to put more than what I could afford down. She also drove me to 3 different lots just to make sure I found the right car. She was amazing. This is so not stressful. If anybody is looking for a car. Go see KK. She will get you taken care of.

They made my whole weekend! After going to Two different enterprises and having a horrible experience i came into this rental place and they were happy to help. They got us in a car quick and easy! Highly recommend them!

I am not a person who always write bad reviews but WARNING do not rent a vehicle from this place. Granted the person who helped us was friendly but their policies are trash. Reserved a rental almost 3 months in advance. Get to location signed all neccessary paperwork... paid for etc. While doing the walk around vehicle just conversing with clerk, when I stated my travel plans she immediately stated she had to cancel the contract because the company does not allow their vehicles to travel to Florida. She stated if I was to cross Floridas state line the car will be reported stolen and do some automatic shut down. Manager was called nothing changed. So three months of plans and not one time anyone mentioned these restrictions my family and I were stuck out hours from our trip, no rental. We were even told to go the the Hertz rental company down the road who would honor the contact... NOPE! It was a bad experience. I will NEVER do business with Dollar rental franchises .

I would highly recommend this location great customer service. & reliable cars. The cars are not brand new but theyre nice and its less of a hassle to get a rental car.

Yesterday Ron did the absolute best to get me in the car I needed! He is great at what he does and has very good customer service skills. They have lots of cars available at a reasonable price and I most definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a car!

Jennifer Was awesome and really nice. She worked with me and made the process a lot easier then I have experienced in the past. Also one of the other salespeople helped me me the process going when we got there until she was available. That sped up the process even more. Thank you guys for all your help!

If I could rate 0 I would.. all these ppl do is lie & I’m not talking about the rental department I’m speaking on the dealership... they lie, they treat the good paying never been late on a payment customers poorly. They act like they can’t help you with ANYTHING. Once you buy a car from them you are on your own. Your problems are YOUR problems literally. They lie & say they will call you back & dont. I just want to pay my car off & leave these ppl in my past. The cars are ok but the customer service is trash. They are good at taking your payments but they do not care about you at all‼️😡

I’ve been in Texas five years and when I first needed a rental car for work purposes I went to Dollar Rental. Shane and Marie are the best in business, highly professional, down to earth good people I had rentals for months and would trade them for something new. They would always call ahead of time and process their payments with me. No up charging or just going into your account. The only change is if they would accept the insurance payments beforehand but really at the end of the day it’s not stopping me from going to them and paying upfront because to deal with other places is and has been a ha! Unless you’re driving out of state, take your business and dollars to dollar rental on Collins!! God bless!

Needed to rent a car on short notice to go out of state for a funeral. I checked the reviews, and noticed that they werent all that great, but the price I got online was better than anywhere else. Being that Im kind of on a budget, I figured Id give them a shot. Im not all together sure why they had bad ratings, but my experience was fantastic. Very polite, friendly, and helpful. The car was a 2015 Chrysler 200, clean, ran well, and filling up the tank didnt eat my wallet. Overall the experience exceeded my expectations.

Ron helped me get in a car me and my husband wanted. We thought we were hopeless trying to find a car within a short amount of time. We met with Ron and he had great customer and kept all his promises. He is amazing!! Me and my husband highly recommend him!

I can use my debit card my NET card my RushCard it was awesome only needing $200 to hold its $15 for insurance through them very nice people inside the cars smells so good! Rental rates are cheap $20.00 /$25.00 a day a valid drivers license 🚙⚜️

I have had the run around with other dealerships promising me that I would get approved if I come in. My perspectives about salesmen finally changed when I met Jennifer at Dollar Car Sales. She will not pressure you in to a sale she will work with your down payment and try to get you in to a car that best suits your needs! If you get a car with them and have an issue they will also go out there way to get you serviced as soon as possible!!! If I could give them ten stars I would!!!

We had set up a rental with a different rental car agency and long story short we found out at the last minute we were unable to get the car due to incompetent employees providing false information. Dollar Rent A Car saved us and our trip and we are totally grateful. We would have had to cancel and lose money. They were literally just getting ready to close and they let us get a car at the last minute. Check out was smooth, easy, quick and the woman at the front desk was very friendly. There was no runaround at all. I definitely recommend.

I was at a Dallas location for vehicle. I paid all of the money required. I was informed at the Dallas location that the car I paid for was in Arlington and that if I wanted the car within 3-5 days, I would have to go to the Arlington location. I decided not to wait and go to Arlington to pick up my car.Once I got to the location and waited 45 minutes, they pulled up with the same year, make, model and color (might I add). However, there was a 61,000 mile difference. On top of that, the VIN # was different! I immediately demanded my money back after they sat there insulting my intelligence.Please be careful! Very unprofessional. I would not recommend going to Dollar Car Sales...ugh

I have never done a bad review on any place, this one is a MUST! I’ve had my car for 2 WEEKS now and the starter is not working by any means. Ive been told I have to wait up to 1 week before the towing comes and take my car to the shop, if I want quicker service, I was advised to PAY for my own towing company. No one at this business is of any help. Richard in the service department was so rude, after scheduling towing service he advised me he was going to cancel the service because of my attitude, please understand my attitude is because I work for the government and I am missing out on money because they are not moving fast enough to fix the situation they gave me within having a car for only 2 WEEKS! I’ve referred plenty of people here and before I made this review I called them all and told them DO NOT SHOP WITH THESE PEOPLE! And I hope you all see this review and do the same!

Good people, check in was easy and fast. All you need is a Debit card with your name on it and verifiable insurance and thats it. I would recommend calling a head of time to reserve a vehicle first.

Too much money and confusion. The guy at the place was really nice but honestly I was put off by the building cost and insurance pricing. They also dont have a bathroom.

Go to this place and you pay $50 a day for a dirty car with tons of dents and scratches. Since this lot is only the dollar name you have no repercussions.i tried to get another car but this manager wouldnt approve it. So I had to get the car I had no choice because my car broke down. Go to the airport they actually have guidelines they have to go by as far as shape of the car. If Im paying money I at least want a nice CLEAN car

This place sells used cars in need of major repairs. They took a 19 year old, single moms $700 down payment and in return gave her a car with:1. Warped rotors.2. Unbalanced tires.3. 2 Failing engine mounts.4. A cracked AC compressor that needed to be replaced but instead they just recharged it before selling.5. Blown speakers.6. Way past due for an oil change & tune up.7. Water damage inside the car.8. The check engine light turned on as soon as she got on 360.(All of this was verified by a personal mechanic and the entire automotive department at a her local walmart. They couldnt believe she was driving this car.)The car was bought by a 19 year old girl, struggling as a single mom, with no outside help, & they were happy to rip her off by putting her in this dangerous car. She was desperate to get her own transportation & the salesman told her that this specific car, was the only option she had with $700 and 0 credit. Being that young, she didnt understand what that salesman was doing nor did she have experience or help. He preyed on her. She tried to fight the company to get repairs made and the very man that gave her the car told her, You knew this car had no warranty when you signed the papers. Its As-Is. Eventually, no one answered the phone for her nor would they Have someone call you back. The only people that did call, was the payment collection department.A few years later, the same man still works there, & the same nice cars are being sold.If you feel good about investing thousands into an overpriced vehicle being sold by deceiving, untrustworthy people, than go to this place👍 because Im a 110% positive youre getting ripped off.

Awesome experience! Rates are cheaper here than at DFW airport. Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful with any questions. The car smelled great and was perfect for what we needed it for. Easy return and fast process. Recommend to anyone flying into DFW looking to save a buck. :)

Today I can say it was a fun and fastest time ever buying a car. The staff was great and friendly especially Jennifer Escobar. She had a great and friendly personality and she was fast but precise on paperwork to make all was in order and done right to make things go fast. I had some issues with the SUV I got and hope the dealership will make it right and I’m shore they will. They also didn’t clean out the inside to well and didn’t take threw the car wash before letting me go with it. All in all it was good experience for and would do it again and I will make shore that I refer friends and family to try you guys frist when it comes to them buying a car.

DO NOT BUY HERE! If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. They are scam artist. These vehicles they are selling are Lemons. They have HUGE interest rates and prey on people with bad credit. Choose any other place than this to buy your car.within 2 weeks of buying a Ford Focus, the transmission failed. They have a 1 year warranty, but that doesnt mean they will fix the situation. They will try to put a bandaid on it and when it breaks down 1 week later (for the same reason), they want you to pay for the towing. Our car has been through 4 transmissions in less than 3 months and they still dont think it is a problem. Meanwhile, if you ask them to get their promises in writing, they refuse. Why do you think that is? Because they know it will stick in court. I can not stress enough, DO NOT BUY HERE.

Very simple easy i go to them every time, and no credit check like the other ones so even tho you halfto put a deposit and you can pay extra for insurance no sense wont go anywhere else.

Too expensive. Insurance had to be purchased. They dont allow you to use your own, and theirs cost $30 each day.

Went in and instantly saw a car I liked. The salesman was standing in front of the car I was sitting in waiting and staring at me and my dad to get outof the car. When we finally got out he instantly had me fill out a credit application. He kept telling me I need more money then vouched to for me to his boss. I told him over and over again that Ill come back. After telling my dad that I need a cosigner he pulled me outside like a child to tell me to go back to my original dealership where I paid off a vehicle earlier this year. I felt so disrespected and mistreated as a customer. I do not recommend this place for car shopping.

Cheap cars for low quality service.I am a student and outsider who is paying a lot for his studies. Well, I booked a car rental from dollar website for $25 which was cheap rate apparently. I reached on time at venue and show them a reservation. They asked for my credit card which I do not have. Then they asked my debit card and holded $350 from it and asked my SSN for a credit check which I gave, but unfortunately I did not pass the credit check. They said that they can not process my reservation and thus can not get me on the wheels. I was shocked as I had an interview at 1:00pm, I was supposed to drive 2hrs to the destination and it was already 11:00am. They said try some other companies that could be issue a car without a credit check and get a refund from the dollar company. I got a new car rental service from Payless which was quite expensive than this but was a really better service than that of dollar. Anyways, dollar company even refused to give me a refund and I end up paying for a service that I did not even use. This company is making money with this system since too many years and is not reliable. I do not say that believe in me, but a plenty of people having too many problems explains the quality of the service provided by the dollar company.

I thought this place was great and was happy with my car until 4 hours later check engine light and other lights come on and car starts driving funny. I was sold a lemon and told a service person would call tomorrow to fit me in. Horrible.

I would not recommend I got a car from the lot and was pleased at first not even 2 months later the car stoped working . Witch was no big problem cause it was still under warranty. The salesman was like oh yeah we will take care of it we will just add it on to your payments never again

They are professional scammers, I thought they were great ppl till I put down some money to hold a car till the next day then I changed my mind on the car so I went to get a refund. It’s 3 weeks later and they are giving me a run around and their exact words are “ we’ve already given it to your bank they haven’t given you the refund, call them.” Im a banker my damn self NO BANK WOULD EVER HOLD A REFUND, it dependent on when they receive it they make it available immediately! NOT TRUSTWORTHY, go there if your ready to be f***** over.

Bought a car from them a week later its having electrical issues call up they say theres nothing they can do and who ever was in the claims department hung up in my face after telling me that so yea dont shop here as I was buying my car I saw them try and get someone else by selling a car with rust on the engine and sludge inside

Horrible experience!!First, they made me purchase their insurance at the time of checkout. Initially, as planned, I tried to use my credit card insurance which offers CDW/LDW. But they said they do not accept it. Then, I gave up on arguing and provided my own insurance paper which does cover rental cars. They said they couldnt get hold of them and denied. So there was no option left but buy insurance from them. Or not take the car, cancel the trip and disappoint my family. I unnecessarily spent extra $100+ ..Second, worst rental car Ive ridden. It had already 60K+ miles on it and smelt like cigarettes.Third, it had less than 2 gallons of fuel when picked up. Seriously?!! Already late for trip arguing on insurance I had to drop by gas station while my whole family waiting. But this was not as worse as the first two.To summarize, if you read this, Id recommend not to go to this business.

Just what I needed when I was in need of a rental car!

Warning warning do not buy a car from there Im currently a customer there.. when I first went there they always trying to give me a car with the engine light on or with the weird noise on it. I got a car but two months later the engine light on came on and I called the dealership and then they didnt have no warranty only 30 days...

Recieved the car with missing floormats and the smell of weed smoke. I asked the checkout guy that reviews your reciept for another but he said id have to go through the process again and told me not to worry about it. I needed the car so I documented it with pics and video.After returning it on a sunday afternoon the check-in counter was empty. Every other rental company had an employee or two helping customers. Dollar had an empty unlocked office. They had a sign saying write down the mileage, date and time and drop the agreement and keys at lockbox. No pens in the box so I had to go to hertz and borrow one. When I came back there were people looking through the unlocked office looking for pens or taking things, didnt bother to ask.A day later they bill me a $300 smoking fee. They told me they will not take the video and pics as evidence. What a sorry company and employees. They probly charge the $300 to everybody to make up for revenue loss.My employeer has over 3000 employees and I gaurantee you they will all not be using DOLLAR rental and they will all get a nice warning on my experience.

Tried renting a car from them when their rental department was still open. I even called ahead of my arrival to make sure they were open before I got there and was assured someone would be there to help me. No one was there, and they stopped answering the phone. Not being able to rent a car through me off by several hours while making arrangements with other companies. Unprofessional and dishonest.

Went in asking to see what they had in their inventory in a certain price range, they tell me I need to fill out an application before they can show me any cars or prices. I tell them I just want to see whats in their inventory Im not looking to fill out an application and have a credit check show up on my report before I even know what they have, they were very persistent and heavily tried to use classic salesman flattery tactics which was when I should have walked away.After nearly 10 minutes I reluctantly agreed and they assured me it wouldnt appear as a hard credit check and the application would only take 30 minutes at most.All the while they kept saying we dont really go by the list price of the car, its more about how much your paying per month.Nearly 2 hours later my credit check was done and I was approved for more than I was looking to spend but they finally told me we dont have anything in the price range you asked but if youre looking to spend $10,000 we have some nice Kias and minivans.Thanks for wasting my car shopping time and lying about the hard credit check guys.

Do not ever rent a car from the North Collins in Arlington. They will charge you card before rental is DUE. and you can only drive in 5 states surrounding TX. If you go out of one of those state they charge for miles.
