Went yesterday for an oil change, next thing you know, the engine light went on, went back to the shop, they plugged the scanner and told me that i have a fuel trim issue, knowing that my car was just fine and no lights were on, strange because oil change and the issue ain’t relatedNext day which is today i went back and i asked them what can we do , they ask me to pay 119$ In order to scan it again even if the issue happened at their shopWhat they did is, they unscrew the intake manifold in purpose, which cause air to leak and result in a fuel trim lean errorIn brief they tried to scam me and get more money for no reasonUntrustworthy people, unprofessional and thieves will never go back nor should anyone.( many other customers were complaining while i was there) very disappointed

My rating would be lower if I hadnt had good experiences in the past.Today, I dropped off my car for 1) oil change, 2) wipers to be tightened or replaced, to 3) check the brakes, and to 4) get a sun visor fixed.More than 3 1/2 hours later I called to ask the status. I was told the car was ready for pick up. INTERESTING timing.When I arrived, I was given a bill for the oil change. There were other notes : Needs wipers, front brakes at 7 32 and rear brakes at ?. Last note: Need sun visor.In more than 3 1/2 hours only an oil change had occurred. I dont live here. So I had breakfast then had been walking around and waiting for them to call.In the past, once something was checked and had a need to be fixed, I would get a call from an AAC employee telling me the status and the cost of materials and labor.I had to ask (again) for my blades to be replaced. I had ask the front desk employee to ask the mechanic what the notes about the brakes meant. Lastly, I had to ask for the cost of the sun visor replacement.I asked the employee as I was walking out, Do you think something went wrong in the process? The employee agreed, apologized, and said they were really busy in the back.I was grateful for her honesty in that moment. Still, my time was wasted.

This is my third time using Arlington Autocare, and each time they have been professional, courteous, trustworthy, efficient, unshaken, and timely.The front staff appear to have fun and enjoy their work, and it shows in their demeanor with clients. And, as it is family owned, it adds to the feeling that their diagnoses and recommendations can be trusted as if you were their own family.My most recent encounter was for an O2 sensor fix: replacement. I fully anticipated to stay for hours and hours, as I had been pre-warned (good practice) of how long this typically takes. However, when I arrived, they already had a full roster of services for other cars, and I was informed that it may taken longer than previously told. As I needed my car for work later that same day, I accepted this, and committed myself to hunker down with work while I waited for my car.I was sooooooo PLEASANTLY surprised to hear that they had completed the job in the original amount of time stated to me initially!!!!! This was so unexpected, but made my day.Plus, they gave me future driving recommendations to help me successfully avoid future issues with my vehicle.I will definitely be a repeat customer for any auto needs!

If I was basing this review solely on the service I received today, they would’ve received one star. However, I’ve had my car serviced here several times and they were much more attentive and courteous. Today I brought my car in for an inspection. I knew the battery had an issue but I wasn’t completely sure. After about 30 minutes, I noticed that my car was sitting outside and was finished but no one said anything to me. They just kept helping people, answering the phone, and staring into space. Finally, I said, “Is my car ready?” Both workers answered dismissively, we’ll be with you in a moment ma’am. One giggled and ate his sandwich while the other seemed confused about why I was bothering him. I would’ve gotten my battery replaced here but I ended up going elsewhere as a result of this interaction. I’ve been helped by one of them before on more than one occasion and it shows how strong groupthink is. The one was only dismissive because his friend was. He’s always been polite and professional in the past, and it’s what saved him from being cussed out when he finally decided to check me out.

Great service. The technicians are very friendly and they have a nice seating area to wait, but they are also conveniently located next to restaurants and shopping that make the wait for your maintenance go by quickly. This is a much better shop than going to a Jiffy Lube or one of the other shops in the area.

Website clearly says emission inspection times are 7am-6pm M-F. Show up at 4:55pm on a Tuesday, and told that that their hours end at 5pm. They told me to check the website cause the hours are clearly listed there. How about they check their own website.... or update it.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Arlington Autocare. Have had tires replaced and major services done with good results.

Great service. Took my car for state safety / emissions inspection. I was in and out quick. Mohabbat and Caesars were very pleasant to deal with.

The staff at Arlington Autocare are professional, friendly, honest, and timely. I was nervous about being a female and finding a car shop that I could rely on when I moved to arlington about 5 years ago. Thankfully I’ve always felt comfortable and taken care of with Arlington autocare. I’ve found among other shops in the area they also have some of the lowest prices accompanied with great customer service and transparency. I’ve had numerous oil changes, rotors, brakes, tires, even wheel axel replaced (in which they had the lowest price about of 3 places I called). Highly recommend!

Exaggerated an oil leak, presumably to bring me back in, but other than that they handled customers excellently and provided a detailed and full prepurchase inspection for me.

Called to ask if they would replace my new battery because I didn’t have the right tools at the moment to do it myself. The guys said it would be $60, and then was condescending that I could just YouTube it and do it myself then. Very rude - wouldn’t go here if I have actual car trouble.

I am writing this review again, because somehow my review of this place got deleted and my opinion deserves to be known. I also contacted Arlington Auto Care about my experience, and they never contacted me back. So they only respond to positive reviews and another reason why I am posting this review again. I worked with JP, when I needed a handle replaced in my car. He knew what the issue was and told me previously we would need a diagnostic and then stated one was not needed because he knew the issue. Upon talking to him on the phone, he then started stating all these problems with my car that were untrue and were not asked for because he did an all car and diagnostic. I was charged for his, when I never stated this was warranted. When I spoke to him on the phone he also told me I needed my emission tested, based upon no knowledge of the car and that they could due this service for me. They were trying to get me to pay for a service I didnt need and when I cam in provided him with proof it was not needed, yet he kept pushing for it. He even followed me out to my car when I was leaving and became very confrontational, which is the reason I am putting this review. Took my car elsewhere for my inspection that I did need, no mention of any of the things Arlington Auto Care was trying to get me to pay for. Stay away, they will try to take your money and pay for services your car does not need. I will not be back.

Good service overall. A lot going on there, but they fit you in and give fair prices. End of the month seems crazy with inspections, but still take care of business.

Ive been going here for about 9 years with my 03 Corvette. They have done a lot of maintenance ranging from simple oil changes to complicated things like replacing my crankshaft seal and harmonic balancer. The price is always right and the service is exceptional. No Vette tax here. They are the only shop I trust and they do outstanding work, truly above and beyond in my opinion. They never upsell and they dont tell you to have unnecessary repairs. They also just saved me about $2000 over another shop on my crank seal. If you have any GM v8 powered vehicle made after 1997, this is something you will eventually have to do so I say you should take it to them. They are also very good with keeping you updated on progress so I appreciate that. They also honor their warranty work as I had them do my A/C system and the compressor failed, they replaced it for free. This is an honest, highly capable shop with an outstanding staff.

Prompt, courteous service! I needed a synthetic oil change and a tire patch for a leaky tire. When I called, they patiently answered all my questions and let me know I could drop off the car that morning. I dropped off my car around 10 am on a Monday and all the work was done by 11:30 am. I really appreciate the courteous service and that all the employees wore masks. I only needed to go inside for about 5 minutes at drop off and to pay (and I noticed they had taped off the floor and some chairs to encourage physical distancing!). Thank you for the pleasant and welcoming experience!

This writer was contacted by Kris, the location manager for this shop. He painstakingly explained the miscommunication and demonstrared a responsiveness that is becoming more rare everyday. Im satisfied with his explanation and feel confident retracting my first Post. This is fair, as all of my concerns were addressed, and my earlier assessment was flawed. I will be bringing my vehicle to this establishment next week for further services. And Id encourage you, the public to do the same. These people are listening to their customers 🤓

First visit, and was happy. The reps at the front desk were very helpful and professional. I brought my car in to diagnose a problem I was having trouble pinning down. They explained how they were going to test to diagnose the problem before I left. They diagnosed the problem and explained the repairs needed when they called me back a couple hours later. They even have the service history of your car available on their website, which is a great advantage to being a customer of thiers.

I have relied on Arlington Auto Care for years because I know I can trust what they tell me. There have been many occasions when I was sure I had a very expensive problem, but they were honest, and never pushed more expensive fixes.

I dont recommend bringing your car here if youre a woman. Or if you like being treated fairly. I brought my car ArlingtonAutocare, for an oil change a few months after having an inspection here. The Inspection showed no issues. But even though I have not been driving the car much since I work from home now. They told me that 5 things had to get fixed. They told me ALL my fluids needed to be replaced even though I had replaced the fluids just a year ago. When asked him about it he said they were just going on the fact that they did not have a history of my vehicle since it was only my first time bring it there. I took the car to my fathers mechanic and they told me that none of those things need to be fixed.

Never bringing my car to this place again. My fiancé dropped the car off and gave them her number. They called her and told her that “potentially the exhaust could rust off” they then proceeded to try and upsell a new exhaust but instead opted to weld on a flex pipe. The weld itself is poorly done, and they charged us 2 1/2 hours of labor for a 4 inch flex pipe. EXTREMELY unprofessional to take advantage of woman with scare tactics. Trash cans.

Highly recommend the team here. They are highly professional, help track down parts in a timely, and have the skills to troubleshoot a host of issues. My 12 year old vehicle has been in across the country multiple times enduring Northeastern US winters, Southeast hurricanes, and Southwest sand and heat. Coming back to the area they were able to get me VA state inspection in a single afternoon. Awesome experience!

Had a great experience. Staff was prompt and friendly, COVID precautions were being taken (masks, distancing). Came in for an emissions test and state safety inspection.

I dont even know what to really say about this place...it seems like its a convenient location but their hours are very inconvenient for a normal 9 to 5 work day. Im almost always getting price gouged every time I come in and their customer service is terrible. They dont go out of their way to help you they dont even do all of the things a customer service oriented place would do. And Ive had to get several second opinions because they told me that I needed to replace whole parts of my car when that was unnecessary. I dont think Ill be returning theyre not very helpful and Im tired of paying their high prices. Ive never had a problem with the work Ive received but Ive always felt short-changed and Ive had better service and better quality jobs done at other locations.

Very efficient and great customer service. Ive never had them try to sell me services I didnt need, and they are always honest when they recommend work to be done about how long I can continue driving safely before it really should be serviced.

They were slow on assessment which ended up taking my whole day and making it even more difficult to decline and get a quote elsewhere. When they gave me my bill breakdown it was full of overcharging and brutally high labor costs (All just to pass my inspection on a 2 year old vehicle that has not had any problems)

Kristoff the General Manager was amazing! He gave my son a second look on his car after having it to another mechanic and was honest and so helpful! I would highly recommend this business!

Those guys saved my car in a very big way. A couple of days before they took my car in, I noticed a change in the noices of my car, little did I know it was the alternator failing. A day after that, my car became a dead pile of metal sitting in the middle of the road. I called my insurance and asked for their help, and the towing guy advised to drop it at their workshop and passed me their phone number to call them the next day. I talked to one of the mechanics and told him about the issue I hade with my car. He told me to run his diagnosis first to find whats wrong with it first before he gives me a qoute. In less than an hour, he got back to me to let me know it was the alternator that caused the problem. I asked him how long will it take to get it fixed, and he said it wouldnt take more than a couple of days to get it fixed. After 2 days, I picked it up, working like a new car.Im very glad that I had a great experience with them, and I recommend them to anyone looking to get their car fixed

Fantastic Service and Good Customer Service. BUT, The door to the reception room is a bit confusing and the safety inspection line is weird.

Ive only been here to get a state safety inspection (twice in the past 2 years), but I have always found the employees to be super nice and helpful - plus the wait is never long. Im able to get in and out in less than 30 minutes! Im not sure about their other services, but if I lived in the area, I would definitely give them a try.

I took my jeep in because I was having some issues with my breaks as well as my car stalling. I voiced my concerns to Kristoff and he was able to quickly find the reason for these issues. My jeep was fixed within an 2 hours of bringing it in. I can’t say enough great things about the staff and their professionalism and knowledge. I will never take my car to another shop in Arlington! 10/10 recommend.

Great experience in May 2020. Brought my new BMW for an inspection and tire repair. Turns out, the screw I thought punctured my tire did not actually go through. They were quick, honest, and fair on all counts.

Update 08/10/2021: I would not trust these guys with anything more than the oil change and tire rotation. Absolutely atrocious workmanship. Why do I keep taking my car there? For oil changes and tire rotations and because they are close to my house.What happened today? Brought car in for oil and rotation and asked to replace rear hatch support struts. They left internal plastic trim hanging lose, left lots of dirty marks on the ceiling, and left oily dirty old struts on the clean blanket I have in the back of my car. Really guys? That was not all. Apparently they opened up the engine air filter compartment to look at the filter and recommend replacing it. When I got the car - the filter compartment was left open and the old filter was shoved in there so its rubber gasket came off from one side.Their mechanics are probably middle school dropouts who cant even tie their own shoe laces.On the positive side - their front desk folks are polite and friendly.Original review:Last week they lost my trust. It takes a while to earn customers trust, but only one lie to lose it. Over the past two years I was slowly building up trust in the shop. They did what I asked and were not pushy with their recommendations. Until during my last oil change visit when they told me that my front brakes are below spec and needed to be replaced ASAP. The thing is, I replaced my front brakes and rotors about two years ago and the car drove about 8,000 miles since. I was so shocked, I took the car to a different shop and they told me that my front brakes and rotors are practically new, without me telling them about my suspicion.I might still take my cars to them for oil changes and state inspections, but I wont trust their recommendations.Update 08/05/2020: Got a call from the manager explaining that the service advisor was going off of 2 year old entry that somehow remained in the system instead of the mechanics notes. According to the manager the mechanic who inspected my car did not mention anything about brakes needing replacement. Hopefully this experience will help the shop refine their communications between mechanics, service advisors, their computer system and the customer. In the meantime I am raising the rating from 2 to 3 stars.Update 01/03/21: Changing back to two stars. Brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Came to pick it up, asked if they rotated tires and was assured that they did. Came out to my car. Wheels have not been moved. Went back to the shop. They went through the paperwork, spoke with the mechanic and apparently since my tires are old they decided not to rotate them. These guys leave the impression that the front guys have no idea what happens in the shop and they will tell you stuff that just isnt true.

Excellent, fast service. Nice guys. Very attentive. Even though really busy, they took care of my car right away. Ill keep going back.

Wonderful people!This was our second visit, and, if we were not leasing our car, and are obligated to take it to the dealers place for most work, we would certainly be regular customers. The actual work has always been good, but their front of the house is consistently understaffed. I ordered expensive tires on Tues, and was told they were ordered and would be in on Wed, and the car would be ready on Thurs. I called and waited 30 minutes on hold to be told I would get a call back, because the car was not ready. The next morning I called to see what Was going on since no one called me back. Surprise! The tires were not coming in because the supplier was out. Note I had to call on the day after I was supposed to pick up my car to find out no tires were coming. I then let them have a opportunity to make it up and got 4 tires they had in stock that they would get turned around same day. This was about 10am. At 6pm I called back and was put on hold twice, and told that there was only one person working the front. I was hopeful that I could pick up the car. Unfortunately after being on hold for so long and then the time it took to get the status, it was too late for me to make it to the shop. The next morning, after a long wait, I finally paid and get my car, but no reference to the inconvenience nor inquiry regarding my satisfaction. Needless to say, I shan’t be back.

My left rear tire was losing air as I was driving to work. I stopped at Arlington Autocare to see if they could remove the leaking tire and install the spare tire so I could get to work on time. They were crowded with many people in the waiting room but Ceasar, one of their technicians, heard my plight and installed my spare and I was on my way in 20 minutes. Kudos to all, especially Ceasar, at Arlington Auto for their dedication to customer service. Thank you.

Ive been using Arlington Auto Care for a while now. Over the span of this year Ive had a wheel bearing, rotors and brakes, and control arms and tie rods done at a fair price for parts and labor. They have a phenomenally quick turnaround time, long business hours, and great service. I couldnt recommend another mechanic in this area more!

Great experience here! I came in after an oil change across the street at Jiffy Lube where I also asked them to check my tires during the rotation due to a leak in tire pressure. They lied and said they checked and I had THREE tires with huge screws and nails in them!!! They found them after I requested they actually check and so I came across the street to Arlington Autocare. I walked in and they were able to help me right away. I had a toddler and seven year old with me and they put cartoons on to help me distract them during the unexpected wait time. They had toys and coloring books. They never tried to up-sale me and were able to repair all of my tires. It was an excellent deal AND they gave me a military discount. I told them I had to pick my other son up from camp about ten minutes away and they were able to complete the job in the perfect amount of time for me to pick him up on time down the road. Thank you guys for great service and friendliness and professionalism!

These guys were very honest and helpful throughout the time my car was with them. They brought me in to the garage to show me the issues and explained why they had to make the fixes they were making. Would recommend.

I came here for an emissions and safety inspection. they did not pass my car for the safety inspection because one of my balljoints was loose. they quoted me at 1200+ to fix this. sounded like they were just trying to create a problem to make money off of me.. ended up taking my car to another reputable auto care in the area and my car passed.

Great experience here. Was in town for work and left an interior light in in my car for a couple days leaving me with a dead battery. A quick call and they let me use their power pack to jump my car for free! Thanks again!

Great auto care served with integrity! They never try to make you get parts and/or services you dont need.The second time I went there was for the safety inspection, balancing and rotating of wheels, and replacing of brake pads and rotors. They wound up accidentally causing a hairline fracture on one of the wheel knuckles in the process. They called me to inform me of this, and had the knuckle replaced completely free of charge to me.

JP and the whole Arlington auto care team provided excellent service.I recently purchased two new tires and had a excellent experience.Their pricing is fair and everybody is very honest. There is no hard sell of any kind. They fit me in when other places wouldnt, but I would never willingly go back since everything is overpriced and the front desk will not work with you if youre trying to save money.They were charging me over $800 to change a starter in a fairly new and well maintained Toyota. A quick call to another mechanic revealed it should have been nearly half that price.The majority of that was attributed to labor costs, which doesnt make sense when that replacement itself takes less than 10 minutes to do when you google any video online.So unless youre trying to misspend money, please stay away from this place.

The worst service ever and this was second time that i had to wait for hours and hours for simple thing to be fixed. Also the price was way more expensive than any other auto repair in the area. NOT ONLY VERY SLOW BUT ALSO THEY DON’T KNOW REALLY WHAT TO DO WITH THEIR JOB AT ALL. If i could give minus score, i would give -10 (minus ten). Please don’t fix or do anything from this place. Got a rejection on vehicle inspection for brake pads and received a quote of $1300 to replace brake pad . Guess what bmw service station and other inspection place both checked and found no problem with brake pads . Arlington auto tried to wrip me off . Watch it!

My tire pressure light went off earlier this week and everything seemed to be fine, but I popped into the Arlington Auto Care to see if they had moment to confirm that nothing was wrong. They immediately took my keys and very quickly assessed my tires and let me know, to my surprise, that I had a nail in my rear right tire. They told me it would just take 20 - 30 minutes to plug my tire. Not only were they finished in less than 15 minutes but they didn’t charge me for the repair.This type of top notch care is why I am a loyal customer of Arlington Auto Care. I will never go anywhere else and am always treated with nothing less than the utmost respect. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of or pressured into doing unnecessary repairs or maintenance.

I brought my car here for the first time when my check engine light came on and the car began to have a rough idle. The shop performed a smoke test and diagnosed the issue as a vacuum leak, then preceded to replace the hoses and components they determined were cracked. I got the car back, and in no more than 5 miles the check engine light came back on, with the same codes it had initially given. I took the car back to the shop and they said they would look at it for free. They held the car three days, and did not reach out to me with any updates. Finally when I called them for an update on the third day they seemed frazzled and I was told that the tech was looking into it right now. A few hours later they called back and said that there had been leaks in places that they did not find before, and they replaced the pieces causing leaks. It was an annoyance to be without my car for four days at this point, but I was willing to let it go because they did not charge when they had to take a second look at it. However, about 50 miles later the check engine light came on again the codes were the same as the previous two times. I took the car to a different shop this time, and explained my history with Arlington Auto Care. The new shop reported that not only was the root of the problem not fixed (it was related to vacuum leaks but at a different component in the car), but that Arlington Auto Care had left a huge mess of my engine bay by leaving many screws out/missing, and leaving wiring hanging out. I think its possible that Arlington Auto Care tried to take advantage of me because I had out of state plates at the time (after recently moving to Virginia). I will not be returning to Arlington Auto Care, and I suggest you do not either.

Kind and swift associates! Cesar and Newman were the gentleman that assisted me directly (changing my R blinker light), but I did hear some of the other associates dealing with clients, and it was clear that these folks offer pleasant service all around!Thank you for easy going efficiency!

I have been a customer since 2006. My best interest and the best cost for service has always been the character of the service staff. I would highly recommend their services.

I did the Virginia safety inspection on my 2011 Toyota Corolla at this place. The guy I failed me over a tiny side light on my car that I did not even know existed. He told me that he would install the light for $72 and then pass my car.I decided to fix the car myself. The light bulb cost less than $3. It took me less than 5 minutes to install it. I then took the car to a different Virginia safety inspection place. That place checked my car and passed me. I specifically asked the technician whether that small light bulb was grounds for failing the car. He told me no.I think Arlington Auto Care tried to rip me off. I will never go back there again.

Been here a few times. Always receive great service, and customer service is extraordinary. A couple times they given me a ride back to my office as well. They go the extra mile for the customer.

They finished my emissions and safety test in minutes and didnt even wait for me to get to the counter, they got my car for me- it was a dream 🤯😍

Arlington Auto Care is great! The service team is amazing!These guys are very knowledgeable, thorough, reasonably priced and QUICK to get the job done! Awesome employees and great service

If you lie being taken advantage of, this is the place for you. Went in asking about a noise I heard with my breaks and got a call that I needed my pads and rotors replaced. The tech told me it would cost $1200+, but I knew that it should cost more around $600. I asked for a price breakdown and was being overcharged all over the place. I asked for generic parts and not the premium options and was given a load of pushback. Finally he gave in and gave me a price of $920. Still dissatisfied I told him I would think about it and call back regarding what I wanted to do. I took the time to do some research and call other shops and determined the fair price for the work was $550. I called back and told them to not do the replacement and that I would go elsewhere to get a fair price. I was then made to feel bad because they started taking my breaks off, even though I instructed them to wait until I considered my options. He then called the local competitors that I got prices from and then lied to me about what they said, as I had just spoken to the same people. Unbelievable. At this point I was so frustrated. They finally offered me an almost fair price of $720, and told me they were doing the work on “MY TERMS”. What a load of BS, if it were my terms I would have gotten a fair price and not be taken advantage of. Will avoid in the future and recommend others to do so as well.

Comfortable seating area with access to complimentary coffee and friendly employees who are more than happy to interact with you (ask about the tv shows playing on their tv!).They also explain the status of other parts of your car that may need repairing in the future. Nice!

Outstanding customer service. Nice vibe from the moment I walked in. Had a car with a dead battery in parking garage about a mile from the shop and they provided an employee and the tools to help me out and get me rolling again. Special shout out Kristoff and Sam for their willingness to go above and beyond normal customer needs!

As of early December 2015, I took my car in for changes in engine oil and brake and transmission fluids. I asked them about a coolant fluid change and received good advice to wait until Spring 2016 to get it done. Excellent service and attention to detail!

Kind and friendly services, but its pricy.

These guys are great. Ive been bringing my car here for years. These guys are responsive and quick to finish the job. As a female, sometimes going into these kinds of places feels kind of dodgy or like theyre going to screw you over - Ive never once felt that way here. Id recommend to everyone!
