We recently had Jared and Sam from Pratt’s come out and replace our clay tile chimney liner as well as the appliance flu with stainless steel. Had a great experience with both Technicians. They were polite, hard working and very thorough with completing the job. Great Experience!

We are new homeowners. Our fireplace inspection, performed by Pratts Professional Chimney Service, yielded much-needed repairs. When Pratts came out to perform the service, the guys were truly fantastic. Despite running into unexpected roadblocks (we felt so bad for them as the day went on), they finished the work on time; the guys showed us what they did and went over how to safely operate our gas fireplace. Pratts was professional from beginning to end and very fair with their pricing.

Big shout out to Tyler and Josh of Pratts Chimney. I moved into a new home. The inspection revealed that the liner was damaged and in need of repair. Tyler came out and provided me with a reasonably priced and well thought out plan to make the repairs. Yesterday, Tyler and Josh spent all day in 90 degree heat replacing the liner. Both were extremely professional. They explained the work as they were completing it and made sure that the house was left clean before they left. Overall, I am very impressed with the attention to detail and the level of service that I received.

I moved into my new house two years ago. I hired the original company that installed the fireplace in the house from the previous owner to do an inspection and cleaning. That company finished everything in less than 20 minutes. I knew that was not sufficient enough time to do that type of work properly. So, the next year I had contacted Pratts for a chimney inspection and cleaning. They sent a technician over and before starting the work recognized something was wrong. The technician went to the roof and noticed even more problems. He contacted Steve Pratt the owner to explain everything that was going on. He came back and informed me that the company that installed the fireplace did it in an extremely unsafe manner and the entire unit would have to be replaced. As one can imagine, I was not happy because I knew this would not be cheap. The technician thoroughly explained what was wrong, why it was wrong, and what would have to be done. He left and I had to schedule a replacement. Later that day, the owner Steve Pratt personally called me. He wanted to explain in more detail the issues of what was wrong, apologized for the other company that installed it, and guided me to what we were looking for in a replacement. A few weeks later, they were here tearing out the old unit, which we had found had a fire in the chimney vent pipe. The technicians were extremely nice, did not mind teaching me things as they were installing it and extremely professional the entire time. The price of the unit was very fairly priced, and they did an amazing job with everything. We are very happy with the way they treated us and conducted themselves. I will not be going to any other company other than Pratts for my fireplace needs.

Had Johnny and Art out to remove an old clay liner and place a new steel one in our old chimney. They set up tarps to protect the floor and were very careful not to break anything nearby. They told me everything they were doing and showed me too. Very impressed and would use them again.

Highly recommend Pratt’s. Tyler was great to work with from the get go. He was very responsive and knowledgeable on my situation. I had some pretty bad water leakage in my kitchen and turns out I needed my exhaust chimney taken down due to its age. They put a b-vent there and made sure I had all the proper flashing and coordination w my roofing company as this work was done in tandem w a new roof being installed. There were no issues trying to get the 2 contractors to work together and Tyler & Sam worked w the roofers well. Pratts was great! For a reasonable price they were able to reline two flues in my chimney and seal the smoke chamber to get a long disused fireplace in my recently purchased home in state that is safe to use. The work was very professional and there was excellent communication throughout the process.

Pratt was so accommodating and easy to work with. I hadnt had my fireplace cleaned in over 12 years and Brad explained everything to me in an easy to understand way. Broke the project in two so I didnt have to come up with a large sum of money all at once. They even came back out and switched out the way my flue was closing as I didnt like it and didnt charge me. Do not hire. I was unimpressed with the technician from the start. He recommended a $1800 repair, but refused to leave a written quote...had a second company look today, a total scam on work that was not needed. I doubt the cleaning was even done properly. Unless you have money to burn look elsewhere.Response to below--You are incorrect, likely due to bad information from your technician. I was fully available and often in the room for 75% of the appointment. I only was in a class at the end and informed the young man that he could interrupt me at any time, leaving a check so I wouldnt waste time writing it. He left the home without a word nor leaving a single piece of written documentation, business card, invoice or email. If there was actually an urgent do not burn indication that would be totally irresponsible to leave a home like that. It might help to actually believe the customer and not simply the employee. I consider this matter closed and the relationship over.

Johnny and Vinny came and installed a liner in our chimney. They were prompt and courteous. Im sure its a messy job for them, but they kept the job site clean, both inside our living room and outside on the lawn. It was a two-day job and very windy both days, and we have a 2-story high chimney, so we especially appreciate them working in less than optimal conditions. Everything was cleaned up by the time they left, youd never even know they had been here.

Tyler was extremely knowledgeable and professional as he inspected two fireplaces and the chimney on a house we are contemplating purchasing. I called Pratts to have an evaluation done on my burner and chimney here in Wisconsin. Andrew came out and inspected the chimney and also the burner, pan and igniter. My inspection revealed cracks in the current tile lining and he gave me an estimate and how to go out scheduling the replacement.Fast forward two weeks and Andrew returned with a co worker to do the work. lining was placed and verified everything working with a tutorial on the new chimney damper. Total working time was about 4 hours. On top of that he was willing to answer any questions that I had about the fireplace and its operation.I have recommended them to anyone in y neighborhood for any kind of chimney work or inspection.

When we moved into our old house, we were overjoyed to have a fireplace! We asked Pratt to come out and take a look...and it was not good. They were very detailed on what needed to happen to take care of things, gave us a VERY reasonable estimate, and encouraged us to call them when we were ready. Well, it took longer than expected to get back to them, but when we did, they were INCREDIBLY responsive and honored the previous estimate. We got scheduled for a work-date and were really surprised when they called and let us know they could take care of us two weeks early!As for the guys and their work? Top notch. Not only were they professional and polite, but they did a crazy dirty job without a speck of soot anywhere else in the house. During an all-day job, they were friendly and easy to work around. We hired Pratt to clean our fireplace. Upon arrival they said they would not service our unit because of code violations. I was in shock. Turns out they were totally right, there were serious issues with the installation by Burlington Fireplace. We had the entire unit removed and had a safe unit installed. I am forever thankful that this is an honest company. They easily could have cleaned the fireplace and took our money and never told us of the code violations. I will reccomend them to everyone! We needed to have our capstone (concrete) removed and a new stainless steel on put on. Steve (owner) came out to do the estimate, and then his team came out remove the concrete, then again to cover up the pipe while the chimney was being replaced, then back to install the new cap, then AGAIN today when I called about a concern. They came back to inspect the entire chimney again just to ease my concerns, and the office team was able to squeeze me every time because of tight contractor timelines. Recently bought a house that had 2 chimneys and 3 fireplaces, all of which needed substantial work per the home inspection. Quoted the job out to 3 reputable chimney service companies. Pratt’s estimate was thorough, but only half the price of the highest bidder. They completely outperformed my expectations. Bryan was the lead on the job; he and his colleague got all the work done in a couple days and we’re extremely communicative throughout the process. They even stayed until 9:45 pm one night because rain was forecasted the next day and they wanted to complete the job on time. In the end, the quality of the work is outstanding, they left the house and yard clean and, even with an unexpected issue in one of the chimneys, they honored their estimate and did not charge me extra. Very pleased with Pratt’s and would recommend them to anyone in need of chimney service.

My wife and I havent used our wood burning fireplace for two years because we kept getting smoke in the house. I couldnt get one service to just come and look at it without charging me an arm and a leg. Wonderful experience. I have heard many horror stories about chimney sweeps taking advantage of the knowledgeable. Steve Pratt was awesome. He arrived on time, was very neat and tidy. He painted my firebox and it looks awesome. He did find something that I should get replaced and gave me an estimate for it. No pressure to do it now! I totally recommend this company to others.

I can only give 3 stars since they are friendly on the phone, but then the downfall starts unfortunately. We had a chimney leak, which destroyed carpet in the living room, and they came out and told us we need a new chimney cap. Said chimney cap was installed and worked great for about 9 months until it separated from the chimney again causing yet another leak. After calling and rescheduling them to replace it yet again, it was replaced, without a phone stating said cap was installed. Hopefully this one does the trick.

Steve came out and spent a lot of time cleaning our vents and replaced our cap. They were both very professional. They were upfront about the costs and why they charged for the services. They were very prompt and courteous. We were very impressed with this company and would recommend them to anyone that needs their services.

What a pleasure to do business with a FAMILY business. I called and spoke with Brittney and explained I had a broken gas fireplace. She was so helpful and nice to deal with.Steve/Owner stopped by that week and fixed it right away. Most places I feel would try and tell you this/that is broken and he did not. Steve Pavlin did an excellent job on my house. First he cleaned the chimney and then he replaced the liner in two chimneys. He did this with such professionalism that I was floored. Pratt’s chimney just fixed my chimney by installing two chimney liners. My house is 60 years old and part of the chimney inside of the wood burning fireplace had collapsed into the water heater chimney. The broken tiles inside the chimneys had to be removed and new liners installed. Pratt’s did an excellent job on the repair. They were kind, courteous and professional. The job was completed in one day, and they even swept the floor when they were finished. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a chimney repaired or cleaned. I am so happy with an excellent job!

They literally just left and I want to write this review without hesitation. My mother called them out to deal with an issue with her gas fire place, she was given his number by a heating and air conditioning company. Steve showed up, looked at the fire place, and explained what was wrong. There was no repair needed and he did NOT charge for the service call. In addition he was polite and friendly in a way that few people are any more. To quote my mother I just cant get over it, he was so polite! We will be recommending them and calling them again in the future.

I am very pleased that I spoke with Steve from Pratts Chimney Service!! He was punctual and I received the quote within a reasonable time frame. I had other chimney services who actually came to look at the job and I never heard anything more. Steve not only looked at my fireplace chimney that needed serious repair, but he inspected my heater chimney which he noted was damaged as well. As this was an insurance company required repair, I was concerned about the time frame. Steve assured me it would be completed before the 30 day deadline, and it was- even though it was late in the season and many chimney services would not guarantee any solid turn around time.
