Terrible service. Rude customer service by Bill Jr. I was told I couldnt over see the work that was being done on my car which makes me wonder way. All the excellent mechanics that used to work there are no longer there. The quality of service is down and the comfortable family like atmosphere left after owner Margery and son Louis Sr passed away. Now that their best mechanic and son of former owner Louis Jr is no longer with the garage even a simple oil change seems like a risky investment.

Both workers I encountered, when I went in to have my car emissions test, were very courteous and professional. One of the workers was at the cash register and the other was one of the mechanics, who said hed find my car even though I parked it in the wrong place. The test was fast, but while I waited I noted postings of the certifications and trainings that the current mechanics possessed. Its a small place, which youd almost miss if not looking for it. There are some automotive supplies and seats to wait in, with a soda machine.

Walked in at lunch time for my emissions test. 4 vehicles in front of me. Was out of there in 30 min! Fast service.

The workers there are so rude to the customers. We were there to schedule a break job and the mechanic had a temper tantrum like we were bothering him. I will never go back there. We are having the work done somewhere else. We told him he should never speak to customers the way he did and he just blew us off. So sad. I would never treat people like that if it were my business.

My car got stolen from here & they have not done nothing about it. Went here to get my alternator fixed. Never got fixed my car is still missing no one has done nothing about it I tried.

No stars, my daughter just brought her car in for an emissions test and the mechanic was not wearing gloves and her car was not cleaned before it was returned to her!!!! Ever hear of CDC Corona virus Guidelines. I guess we should have asked what they were doing to protect their customers when we made the appointment, but I didnt think we needed to. I thought any good business would be going above and beyond to protect the health of their employees and customers.

My husband took his car in for emissions today and was very happy with there service. He has been coming here on and off for over 40 years.There repair work is excellent but I feel there a little more expensive than other repair facilities.

Six stars, excellent serviceMy tire pressure light went on while I was driving on I-95, I was so scared, so I found thé nearest tire store. They checked my tire pressure, tire pressure sensor, battery and other stuff. It turned out the tires and sensors were fine. They didn’t charge me a dime, what great people they are.

I went for my emissions today. There was a bit of a wait but it went fast. Super friendly staff and got to witness some great customer service with some elderly people. Honest true service that is helpful and not trying to take advantage of anyone. Truly a great small business that looks out for their customers! This will be my first to go too, if ever in need!!!

Ive been a customer there since 1994. One of the few repair shops that , I feel, have always been customer centered. They are family oriented, always fair and only do what is necessary. Ive recommended countless people to them and never has anyone been dissatisfied.

Have used this shop for years. Called them in the morning to tell them I was having my vehical towed in. Recieved a phone call at 230pm that they diddnt have time to work on my vehicle. I said I didnt need it back right away and they told me I would have to find someone else. I had to leave my full time job early and cancel plans. When I arrived at general muffler to meet my secound tow truck of the day(tow trucks are not cheap) I asked what the problem was with working on my vehicle and they guy at the counter was very loud with me and disrespectful. I will never bring another vehical to this shop.

They are Honest working people! I have been using them for years. I had a minivan. Its brake kept failing every year like a clock for three years after sears worked on it. Brought to them and running for 4 years without problem. Engine light on 15 year old car. No problem fixed it. Engine light reappeared- fixed it with no charge. It reappeared and turned out another part had failed. Changed it at nominal price. I spend all my money for auto repair as they have my 100% trust. They know what they are doing.It is difficult to find trusted and skilled people in world. I hope your experience with them is good.

Guys at General Muffler are really great, I was referred by a family member and glad I was , they took care of everything I needed, got it done and made sure everything wasnt perfect running condition. I have only been here for emission testing. Every time I have been there, the staff has always been very courteous. An employee was putting a quart of oil in the car of an aged lady. Where can elderly or ill get help nowadays? Here. I believe the owners and staff of this business are good, decent people.

Best mechanics in the Valley for my money. They will never sell you more than what is necessary and the pricing is more than fair.A good mechanic is worth more than a good doctor (OK, not really), so if youre lucky enough to find one, you better not ever let them go.Plus, the place is stuck in an early 70s time-warp. You have to see it to believe it...

These guys, own their work. Had done break job at Sears and i would have to go back every year to get the brakes fixed. A friend recommended their place and I got it done through General muffler and auto. Its been 3 years, no issues. I give them all my business. Good workshops are hard to find.

Ive been using General Muffler and Supply for parts and service for 30+ years now. They continue to be the only auto service company that I would rate as fair and honest. There not necessarily the cheapest guys around, but they never take advantage of their customers or attempt up-selling like most all their competitors. I recently brought in my 2009 Hyundai for an A/C recharge and since they believed the compressor had a leak (which they do not service), they referred me to the dealer and waived the diagnostic charges. Real stand-up guys that I would recommend to anyone looking for an honest mechanic.

Other auto shoppes might have a large stock and many of the same services as General Muffler, but they dont have their Staff. Ive been going there for over 9yrs & from day one they all were the friendliest and accommodating.
