We were very pleased with the services John M. Taylor Funeral home provided for the passing of my father on 24 April 2021. I had made pre-arrangements which proved very helpful and efficient when the time came. The staff, and in particular Mike, were all very professional and helpful with the paperwork, and we received the ashes and death certificates in a timely manner.

The John Taylor funeral home handled the arrangements for my mother. It was especially challenging during Covid, since we wanted to do all the events remotely. That was both to avoid unnecessary exposure to the virus, and to allow Moms family across the country to be able to participate. The staff at Taylor was very sensitive and responsive to our needs. The poor Wifi signal at the Funeral Home did create some difficulties, and I expect Taylor will be looking to improve their WiFi service in the future.

First; let me start by saying, our family has used the services at John M. Taylor’s funeral home for decades. There is a reason for this. They are simply, the best.Our mother passed away in the early morning hours of December 18, 2020. I called around 3 am. My call was answered by the service and within minutes, I received a call back from Michael Saffran. Not only was Mr. Saffran caring and compassionate, his demeanor was such that it lent itself to help me take a deep breath, calm down and think.Mr. Saffran guided us through each step of this journey, with compassion, respect, and care. If we had a question, he immediately provided an answer.During this most difficult time of COVID, we thought trying to organize a memorial service would be very trying. Due to Mr. Saffran’s diligence, attention to detail and professionalism, it was not.My father, my sisters and I expected nothing less than superlative service, and we most definitely were not let down.John M. Mike Saffron is amazing! He and the others helped us get through some of the hardest days of my life. At the beginning of the year and at the end of the year. There is no doubt in my mind if I find myself in the same position it again I know exactly who I would call!

Staff was personable. Programs did not get handed out as folks came in, only later. Folks did not know where the guest book was, I had to tell them each time which was not my job. Issues with the music-CD, so music had to be turned off. Receiving room was too warm.Food was delicious. Service was very nice.

Michael Saffran worked with us through this trying time, and was very compassionate and helpful. His information was very helpful, and his directions to the point and accurate. He has offered us any further assistance in the process that we should need. Kim helped us when we came to pick up my fathers remains, and was also very nice to work with. We thank you all for doing an excellent job.

9 years later I needed a copy of a death certificate for my Dad and they were able to assist me.They are fantastic to work with.Their Grieving Group was terrific also.

I was SO impressed with the high level of personal service and attention from everyone, but especially Mike and Mylon. They treated my mother with the utmost respect and dignity, and handled her service and interment flawlessly. They thought of everything when I couldnt. Dont choose any other funeral home.

Following the death of my mother, Mary Porter Frese, I had the pleasure of working with Michael Saffran of John M. Taylor Funeral Home. My mother died in Annapolis and I live in Washington, DC. Therefore it was necessary that the funeral arrangements were handled efficiently and effectively. The John M. Taylor Funeral Home was physically convenient, and the available parking was sufficient. Appearances of the Funeral Home were pleasing to the eye: clean, beautifully furnished and each room perfect for any type of event. Ordering of the Prayer Cards was done; they had the prayers we were interested in and choosing the perfect Saint representation was made easy. Mr Saffran and the staff were courteous and professional at all times: they arrived on time at BayWoods, they worked and bathed my mother delicately before wrapping her to transport her to the Funeral Home. The outer wrap covering her was velvet red, and I was so impressed in her handling throughout. Michael Saffran was most accommodating and everything was done to our satisfaction. The staff could not have done a more professional and caring job.

My family and I couldnt have been more pleased with the professional way that Michael Saffran reviewed the arrangements that my mother, Hazel DiMaggio, had preplanned for her viewing and services at Taylor Funeral Home. Mike was extremely thorough and made my brother and me very comfortable with finalizing the arrangements. Any questions that I had afterward Mike and his staff were readily available to answer them.The day of the viewing Mylin was very helpful in the final touches on my mother that we asked him to do. He was very attentive and there by our side at the viewing as well as the next day at the services. This made my family and me very comfortable and took a lot of stress off of me.I also want to thank Don Taylor for being there for my mother the day of the service at Taylor and also at the cemetery chapel. Don and my parents have been friends forever and having him there gave us a feeling of warmth and security.
