Gary and the Autotech team are fantastic. I routinely surprise them with a night-time drop off where one of my cars is suffering from a malfunction. They are always busy, but somehow, my car is ready the next day. Honest to the core--Gary gives me an estimate and either completes the work at the quoted price or does it for less. I am so glad I brought my 2006 Camry here. Toyota wanted to replace my entire Rack and Pin lines and steering for a crazy price. Gary said there were some small leaks and he fixed me up. Shipped two tires from Tire Rack there too, put them on and balanced them. Awesome place. Very professional. Honest, which is key for any mechanic. I will bring all my cars here from now on. Weve been taking our vehicles to AutoTech for over 3 years and every time were blown away by how helpful, knowledgable, and out-of-their-way kind they are. Gary takes time after each service to run through what was done in detail and has always been happy to answer any question or explain something further. This morning, I tried to put air in my tires at our local gas station and ended up deflating my tires further. Worried that there might be something wrong with the tires (the car sat for a while due to COVID), I stopped by AutoTech on my way into work and Gary dropped everything to fill my tires. My husband and I were driving back from Annapolis to DC when our car started to shake and our check engine light came on. We pulled into AutoTech not having been there before and it could not have been a better decision. Despite it being late afternoon on a very busy day, the mechanic dropped everything to help us, explain the issue clearly so that we could understand, and get us back on the road. The shop was extremely clean, the work efficient, and the staff incredibly kind and professional. I am so glad we stopped at AutoTech and would strongly recommend it to anyone in the Annapolis area.

I highly recommend AutoTech. They offer fast and friendly service at a reasonable price. I had two vehicles with a list of repairs the dealer said were required and at a considerable cost. Gary reviewed the list and analyzed both vehicles giving me an honest list of repairs that were required. It turned out that I did not need most of the repairs the dealer had on the list. Gary saved me lots of money and both vehicles run great and I will not take them anywhere else.

After some failed attempts making appts with other shops in the Annapolis area, I found Gary and scheduled my appt to do my auto inspection. Gary is terrific! This is the ONLY auto repair shop in the Annapolis area that I recommend to my friends and family.

Was hearing an odd noise from the rear of my vehicle that I couldnt rightly identify. Gary took a day diagnosing it and spent plenty of time talking to me about the issue (differential), possible repairs and working out a solution. Everyone was courteous, happy to talk to me, up-front with everything and the price was very fair. I highly recommend this shop.

My car broke down last week, while on a fishing trip with my daughters. I called Auto Tech with what I thought rhe problem was, the dreaded alternator. I called and spoke with the most cheerrful woman, she set my mind at ease. I had my car fixed in a day and was able to take my daughter back to College on Friday. My mother-in-law recommended that I take my car into AutoTech for A/C servicing, and Im very happy that I followed her advice.Gary was able to fix my Sonatas A/C, so that Im ready for the summer heat. Having been in the military, I have been to a lot of different mechanics. Most mechanics come off as shady, and untrustworthy. Knowing quite a bit about cars myself (I just despise working on them), I can tell when a mechanic is trying to fix unnecessary problems. Gary is not one of these mechanics. He did not go looking for easy-to-do-high-profit jobs. Instead he fixed the problem at hand, the first time, at a very fair price. It is rare these days that you find a mechanic that you can trust.....I am lucky that I have! I am a car guy....and I take care of my car better than most....and I am always confident that they will give my car the same care and respect that I would. Honest, on time, very qualified. No BS, they will tell you what they know and what they dont know, do the work well, when promised, and at a good price. At a co-workers recommendation, I brought my Passat there, and continue to take it. Now, Gary is taking care of my Porsche as well, to both of our enjoyment.

Auto Techs mechanic Gary was patient, generous, fast and--most importantly--exceedingly competent when working on my 15-yr old Jeep with a starter wiring problem last week.On a business trip from DC where we live, my girlfriend got in our 99 Cherokee at the end of the day and found that it wouldnt start! 40 miles from home at rush hour is not where you want your car to be disabled! I found Auto Tech here on Yelp and called Gary less than a few minutes before closing time. Upon hearing the details of the problem, he told me he could come to where my girlfriend was stranded with the car and look at it. He was there 20 minutes later. After 5 minutes under the car testing wires and fuses, he got it started up and got my lady and the jeep back on the road headed for DC where I brought it to my local shop. Without him we would be paying $200 for a tow! I only wish I could have left the car with him up there instead of relying on my neighborhood shop.Then, the most amazing part: Gary didnt even charge us! He offered some advice about the underlying problem for my DC mechanic to work with, and asked that we follow up to tell him what happened with it. When I spoke with him today, Gary had additional advice about the problem! Please dont expect free roadside service from Auto Tech as standard (theyd go out of business in a week!) but please know that this kind of character and generosity is increasingly hard to find, and builds valuable trust. Im now thinking of moving to Annapolis so Gary can be my full time mechanic!

Great place to get your auto worked on

Great mechanic but also honest, which you dont always find. Wont sell you the moon when all you need is an easy fix. He has saved my sons 17 year old car many times. Knows what theyre doing and have always come in on time and as promised. Wish that everyone ran their business as he does. Hes got our business and everyone else whos asked me.

Gary is always upfront and honest in his dealings. He will work to get your issue fixed, keep you informed and do it at an affordable price.

Incredible experience, like night and day compared with using my dealership. Spent months trying to figure out what was going on with my car while taking it to a few different places which all scammed me. Finally took it here, they looked at it for 6 hours, figured out what was wrong and charged me an extremely fair price. Couldnt be happier.

Annapolis AutoTech is everything youd need in an automotive service center. Gary & team are the best in the area, hands down. A great place!!!! My air conditioning recently stopped working. The dealer diagnosed it as a severely damaged air compressor and conveniently wanted to charge me $1600 dollars. I refused and took it to Autotech after reading some good reviews on Google. Gary and his crew spent some time and diagnosed it (correctly) as a component associated with the compressor (the compressor had no problems at all). All said and done, the bill was about $480 and the A/C is working. They saved the day!

Way too expensive, $100 for an oil change and a battery test. Told me my battery wasnt correctly installed, then replaced my starter for $415, when later I found out that the problem with my car starting was related to the shifter cable having a connection issue. Havent been back since I spent $500 and they didnt even diagnose the problem correctly.

I Went to this shop twice. This guy gary is honest and patient . One of the best i am able to find in this Annapolis.I recommend him .!!!

The staff at Autotech is very friendly, and they will explain in detail everything they do. I got my oil changed in my 2000 Subaru Outback. For 40$, they also replaced the filter, rotated the tires, and did a thorough inspection of the car. I feel much safer now that I know the brakes, tires, and engine are all in good condition. I highly recommend going to Autotech.They dont do walk-ins, you have to make an appointment. This is good because they will start working on your car as soon as you get there. Oil change and inspection only took 45 minutes.

Honesty and integrity are the words that come to mind when describing Autotech. If you live in Annapolis(or close by) you would be making a huge mistake to take your car anywhere else for repairs.

I enjoyed Auto Techs top notch service for several years before moving closer to DC. After trying other services for minor repairs, in an attempt to save time so I could meet work deadlines, it seemed I was often charged for extra work, of poor quality, that I dont think was always needed. It added days and many dollars to the final bills. I learned my lesson after recently returning the Auto Tech where Gary made right what others wouldnt or couldnt. I know it is worth the extra miles it takes to drive or be towed to Auto Tech where my vehicles will be properly and fairly serviced.It has been a while since I wrote the recommendation above. In March 2021 I obtained a replacement of belts and fluids with a new starter and alternator installed at my initial request. Gary said I did not need a new water pump or even brake pads, both of which I asked him to check. My car runs like it is new. I am very pleased with the honest care and consideration I receive at Annapolis Auto Tech!
