Its been three consecutive years that I have been filing my taxes with JMU Tax and Financial Services. I have been extremely satisfied with the overall experience from making an appointment over the phone to sitting face to face with a professional tax specialist who is genuinely determined to ensure that your taxes are filed in the most accurate and efficient manner within the prescribed boundaries of the law. JMU TAx has several branches in every corner and major city in Northern Virginia which makes it very convenient for you to visit a branch office whether close to your home or office. In the past three years I had the opportunity to file my taxes with three different tax accountants in different branches all of whom exceedingly surpassed my expectations and set much higher standard of quality, professionalism and efficiency than each other. JMU Tax accountants, unlike many other places, never rush to get your tax filing over with so they can have the next person waiting in line. They take their time, make sure they listen to you patiently, and work with you to ensure that everything is done in an efficient manner. Last year I was in a bad financial shape and thought that I couldnt afford their tax filing fee which was still very reasonable. So, I called and informed them about my situation and they were kind enough to offer 50 percent discount which really helped. I recommend JMU Tax very highly.

Dont do your taxes here. My taxes were done by Rocio. I received letter from state and fedral taxes for an amendment and when I tried to speak her to see what I needed to do there we no response from her no response over phone or email. I got a response from someone else I ask to speak with manager or owner and they told me that they could give me his number but that i wouldnt get help from him because he was to busy. Ended up fixing everything on my own because they are not helpful. Received an appt with someone until I told I was filing a complaint with the IRS and it wasnt a helpful appointment.

Dont trust these bogus reviews. You will be wasting your time and energy getting your taxes done here. The so-called manager of this place micky whoever is absolutely disrespectful, and inconsiderate for your time. There is always an issue with their office either with appointments, equipements, overbooking, late appointments, over charges. I had to come to this over six times and still did not get to do my taxes and every time there is an empty excuse and apology. These high star reviews you see is by their friends that is all. Do yourself a favor and compare their tax refund fees and you will soon realize his office has over charged you.

I called about 10 different local tax services and eventually decided on JMU. They answered all of my questions patiently and charged me a reasonable rate. They got me more back than Turbotax! Just thought I should write about my experience with JMU for all my taxes and accounting needs so that other people can benefit from it. I have been going to JMU for my tax filing work since 2011. One of my coworkers advised me to see Niraj Aryal, and I was very pleased and impressed with his professionalism, integrity, knowledge and helpfulness since my first visit. He always makes sure his customers are getting the maximum benefits/deductions possible, yet he still makes sure there is full compliance with tax rules and regulations. He also takes care of all the accounting, payroll, taxes and compliance related work of my business since 2013. What a relief to have found someone to whom I have full confidence on all my tax and accounting needs. I have referred many of my friends to Niraj, and everyone has been very happy with his services. Because of my work nature, I find it hard to go see him during regular business hours, but he has been so kind to take me in during late evenings, which is another plus point for busy people like me. Mickey Sood is the man! I recently went to JMU to file my 2016 tax returns, and boy was I pleased with the results. Typically I’m pretty good about doing my own taxes, but due to all the moving pieces in 2016, (i.e. two jobs, new child, two residence, etc. ), I decided to utilize professional tax services. After doing my research, I found JMU to be the most cost efficient. Also, I had the option to consult with an IRS enrolled agent (Mikey Sood). He was able to get me back a larger return than I estimated when I did an initial run thru of my taxes. In addition, he helped me with an IRS audit I received back in 2014. I was able to get a reduction in what they were asking. Going forward, JMU is my brand! Thanks Mickey!
