The team at North Side Auto went above and beyond to take care of me. My car had broken down, and I was not sure whether it would be a quick fix or not. I was told by other local auto shops it would take 1-2 weeks to have diagnostics on my car performed. This shop was able to perform diagnostics the next day and worked with my situation. Very fair price. Overall, plan to be back, and would highly recommend them!

They told me to come, and they would take care of it as soon as they could. I was in and out with a fixed tire in no less than 30 minutes. My license plate needed to be replaced, having been on my car for 10 years. In trying to get the plate off, I stripped the screws. I called Northside Auto and they got my car right in. The plate needed to be torched off. They took care of it quickly and efficiently, installing with bolts that shouldnt cause me a problem the next time I change my plates. They were friendly and the work was reasonably priced. Thanks to Northside Auto Im not in danger of getting a ticket for expired plates!

The people at North Side Auto are always busy, because they do the job at reasonable price. We took our car in because the transmission stopped shifting. Sam and his mechanics fixed that problem and found a loose front suspension part, that could cause serious problems. We have used them several times now and have always been satisfied 😌😀.

I was traveling from Chicago through Michigan when my car broke down on the expressway. It was Friday at noon and every place I called was unable to work on the car for several days. One repair store recommended northside auto of Ann Arbor. They asked a bunch of questions and diagnose my problem and said they thought they could get me back on the road tonight and ordered a new alternator for me while I waited for a tow truck. They were super professional and really saved the day as I had no connections in the area and would need a hotel. They were very kind and I just can’t say enough about northside automotive I would recommend it to anyone!

I got a car fully inspected before I bought it. They checked it completely and gave me a report in about an hour. For like $70. A value for money shop. And great people to work with. Theyre also affiliated with University of Michigan.

Excellent workshop! I got a used car recently but not in the best conditions. They helped me fix some exhaust issues, body works, and tire works. They are nice people and do excellent work.Also, if you wanna buy a used car and avoid potential issues that I unfortunately had. Have an inspection with them. It will be very helpful.

Ive lived in the Ann Arbor area for a few years now as a grad student. I am so grateful that I chose North Side Auto to do my car repair work. Theyre fast, professional, fair, honest, and do great work. Sam is great to work with and Ive gotten a student discount.I was dissatisfied with my prior mechanic because I felt that the business model was to convince me that I needed all sorts of extra work that may or may not have been strictly necessary. Then one day they didnt have a tool needed for a repair so they recommended North Side Auto to me. Ive never gone back to the old guy.North Side Auto and Sam have been excellent. Ive told my friends about him and the good work he does. He stands behind his work too and ensures that the problem is fixed correctly and has redone a task for me without charge when it a defective part was used. I have never had to wait longer than a day to get my car back.On the whole, I couldnt recommend them more strongly. The price is good, the work is excellent, the owner is honest. What more could you ask for from a mechanic? I dont intend to go anywhere else as long as I live in Ann Arbor.
