Have used these guys for years, and my family has for decades at this point. Honest, friendly, and reasonably priced. The only down side is they occasionally get backed up with work, so youll need to wait a few days to get in. To me, thats a sign of a good shop.

John is the best mechanic I have met. He is fair, helpful, and has never charged more than he had to. In fact, he looked for free at several used cars that I was interested in buying to make sure they were in good condition. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else in Anderson.

John is absolutely the most honest and helpful mechanic I have ever had. I have been taking my vehicles to him for over 15 years. A few years ago I moved from Anderson to Muncie, and then recently to Noblesville. I tried using different mechanics in both areas and after continual poor service and rip-offs I decided that the inconvenience of traveling to Anderson was more than worth it. If something doesnt need fixing, he will tell you. If there are cheaper options for a repair, he will tell you. If you want to go with used/reconditioned parts instead of new, he will find them for you. If he is not the right mechanic for a particular repair, he will tell you. The only negative with 8th St. is that he is always swamped because his loyal customer base always return and it continues to grow because of word of mouth. Im almost reluctant to post this review because of that, but John deserves the kudos.
