If I could give this place negative stars I would. Good luck reaching Hertz downtown because they rarely answer their phone. The voicemail says to leave a message but they dont call you back. While most people wont deal with my incident it speaks of how poorly this location is ran. My rental vehicle was impounded and I notified them they day of the impound because I didnt have authority to pick the vehicle up. Despite me sending out three reminder calls, Hertz took over two weeks to retrieve the vehicle at my expense. I was automatically charged over $1700 in fees without any email or phone call to notify me of the charge. When I showed up at the physical location, the people at the front desk were unable to help me, or give me any explanation as to why they took over two weeks to retrieve the vehicle. I did not get any notification simply because they forgot to ask me for my email. They then preceded to charge me a second time for over $1700, and once again failed to answer their phone when I tried to contact them over a second charge. The people working the front desk here do not know how to do their job. AVOID RENTING WITH HERTZ AT ALL COST.

Was ok. Lack of guidance on exiting parking garage. You need a ticket they provide which we had just wasnt told about it. Would be great if the offered a drop box at train depot

Made the experience of having a rental while my car was in a body shop for repairs so smooth for me. I thought this was going to be a much more complex situation but it wasn’t. Thank God.

The rental itself went fine, but I was told I could leave the vehicle at the repair shop where my vehicle was being worked on. The vehicle apparently got a chip in the window after they picked it up from the repair shop. The first I heard about it they were sending me an form to fill out for an accident report. I filled out the form stating that it did not happen while I was driving the vehicle. I didnt here back from them so, I assumed it was resolved. a month later I was contacted by an collection agency. It has now been 2 months, and the manager George Neuerburg refuses to return my calls. Today I tried contacting the corporate office. They said they didnt see a charge for a chipped window. They said they were going to transfer me to another department to assist me. I was transferred to Dallar Rental Car who was able to acknowledge they were billing me for a rock chip, and gave me the name and number of an agent to talk to. His voice mail said to send him an email, which I have now done, and hoping to bring this unfortunate incident to a close.I was able to resolve the issue working with the Agent. This process was way too much effort on my part. I hate to say it, but if I ever use Hertz again, and they claim I owe them money, Ill most likely just pay it to avoid the incredible time sync this cause. Im really disappointed in their customer service.

I collected the car from the Hertz office opposite the Captain Cook hotel I booked at tipoa rental car and got a great rate on a Hertz car. I intend to drive to Fairbanks and drop it there

Hertz works closely with my insurance so the paper work was super smooth and easy, Brandee was amazing, explained on how it works. She answered every question very detailed and understanding with me. Got a nice ride too 😏. Thanks Hertz 🙌

Julie was awesome in helping me get a car when I was having a difficult time renting due to a lost wallet the day before. Went to 7 different companies (three of which I have elite status with) and no one would take the time to figure out a way I could rent a car except Julie. Highly recommend !

The service was great. My only complaint is that they did not allow me to use my 25 dollar credit bexcuse it was part of an insurance claim. I think as a gold member I should be able to use my credit anytime a car is rented through them.

I would recommend renting from AVIS, anywhere but Hertz. Got stuck on the Seward Highway due to highway closure for 2.5 hours (forest fire) called and asked them if I could return to airport location because I was going to miss them before they closed, of course there was a fee!! AVIS waived the fee for my buddy because they share cars from both locations, and so does Hertz!!! Hertz I will not rent from you again.

Before leaving Australia, I pre-paid car rental from Hertz. When I presented the pre-paid form, the agent asked for my credit card, and on swiping it, said that their system declined the card and asked me if I had another. The second card was similarly declined and he refused to honour the contract and supply a vehicle. This put my Alaskan holiday in jeopardy. On advice from the helpful staff at the Anchorage Tourist Information, I went to AVIS and had no difficulty in renting a car.I strongly advise you not to rent from this agent and not to enter into any pre-paid contract with Hertz. I am attempting to obtain a full refund of the contract that Hertz failed to honour. On return to Australia, I checked my credit rating and found it to be rated excellent. I suggest Hertz review their checking system or be blacklisted by tourists.

I had done two reservations at Anchorage, both with pre paid voucher.In the first one (june, 3, 2016) I was charged again in my credit card. The second reservation (june, 8) was done correctly.Mrs. Rosalle Knight had sent a email to Hertz Customers Relations on june, 10,2016, bullt up to now I was not reimbursed. Herz is fast to charged my credit card, but slow to reimburse.

Clerk was rushed. Car was parked opposite side of lot compared to where I was told. They did not tell me how to get out of parking deck so I had to call security to open the gate.
