Only hospital in a 15 miles radius that would take my dog during an emergency, I am grateful for that. The IE seems to be understaffed. The vet definitely cared about my dog but I can second a lot of the comments about a seemingly understaffed hospital that leads to confusion, very little time having any questions answered, and mistakes that need to be corrected by diligent paw parents. This place is not affordable, $$, $76 for a consultation and $109 for emergency consultation, but it was the only hospital that would take my dog. The initial assessment was comprehensive. No one went over the post-op care I was just handed papers, a distinct contrast to the hospital he’s been going to for 9.9 years where they take the time to explain everything and answer all of your questions. It’s been a week since my dog’s initial surgery. My dog went in for his check up and is now being treated for possible necrosis with ointment and now he’s peeing blood after having his drainage removed. I do not feel comfortable with all the post-op complications to recommend this hospital at this time and hope my review will change but I want to provide honest feedback for other paw parents seeking medical help for their loved ones. Again lack of communication as to whether I should expect this after drainage removal. Both my dogs have had surgeries before with no complications so it’s concerning that he’s had swelling, possible necrosis, and now peeing blood.Update: the ointment did wonders, my dog is his jolly old self, going on 10 this December!

I began bringing my adopted 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd Dog to Dr. Steven Dunbar when he had his business at the shopping center in Yorba Linda. He was recommended by a very close friend of mine. I was complaining about how hard it was to find a good caring vet in this area. I had previously taken her to numerous vets in the area for her necessary shots and exams as a young dog but felt rushed and not a very caring atmosphere. I felt so relived having Dr. Dunbar as her vet. I felt I finally found a caring Veterinarian for my precious dog who had already been through so much in her short life. I was elated and confident with his training and caring ways for her. The staff were wonderful and caring as well. No stress going into the office for appointments they were scheduled with the appropriate time in between so never a long wait time. Then Dr. Dunbar moved into his new office Yorba Regional Animal Hospital. Every time I took my dog there I had paperwork shoved into my face and demanding that I fill it out before anyone would see her. I mean even if it was an emergency there was no way these girls at the desk were going to let you see anyone until that paperwork was filled out and your payment was verified. Wait time was usually long and I believe from overbooking. It was the most stressful office I have ever been to and unfortunately the closest for an emergency! Even though we had been coming there for a few years it was if we had never been there ever and they had a file on her! When he first moved there we made appointments specifically for him maybe 3 or 4 times but because he was always booked and was only available for certain days and times made it very difficult. So every time we came in we saw someone different because asking for that vet a year later, some were no longer there or the wait time was a week or more. Anyway, the feel of Dr. Dunbars practice was gone. It was cold and not a personal feeling at all. It’s like a machine nothing personal, rarely the same vet and if it was they never made you feel like you were anyone different than the one who had never been there before. Gone were those days of seeing a young boy or girl with a sick tortoise or lizard in the waiting room. Times had definitely changed and not for the good!Several years later I had to bring my dog in because she was elderly and was dying, I never wanted to bring her here but I had no other choice. It was the most heart wrenching choice and experience I have ever experienced and definitely the coldest due to the attending personnel. Papers shoved into my face as I was trying to explain that my beloved Shepherd was in the back of my SUV dying and I needed help to get her in there and put her down! But Oh No, VERIFIED PAYMENT FIRST, then help with my dog!Good luck for you that choose to have your precious pet seen here. I truly hope and pray it is a much better experience than ours!

Dr. Weiss is fantastic. He is so professional and called us a few times a day with updates while our cat was hospitalized. He took the time to really try and decide what was best for her and weighed all of the options instead of jumping into a treatment. He is a wonderful vet and I would give him 5/5 stars alone. The overnight receptionist we spoke with is the reason for 4/5 stars. She was quite rude and really could use an empathy class. The day time vet techs and front desk were amazing though.

I brought my Pomeranians to Yorba Regional Animal Hospital for over 17 years each. All of the vets here were wonderful. It was always a bit pricey, but there was always great care here. They helped me when both of my dogs had kidney disease in their latter years. They taught me how to inject my youngest Pomeranian when she was diagnosed with advance signs of kidney disease as it saved me a lot of money. My Pomeranian had to be injected 3 times per week for the last year of her life. I also loved how they sold me flavored thyroid medicine. They had flavors like cotton candy, caramel apple, and so on. It made it so much easier to give to my baby girl. All-in-all, they were the best! Im currently in the process of buying another Pomeranian after 11 years of not having any and I plan to return to Yorba Regional Animal Hospital.

I had an emergency with our 1 year old puppy. He was vomiting with a lot of blood. I called and the phone service said if it’s an emergency come right away. All of the local vet hospitals in my area referred me to the VCA YL location, as that is their regional hospital. I drove for 30 min in traffic. When I arrived they said sorry we can’t see you we are “at capacity”. It was 10:59am. To me it’s unbelievable. They had no suggestions as to where I should go etc. After leaving, I called to ask to speak with a supervisor. Of course no one was available and they haven’t called me back. How dare they have a huge “emergency hospital” sign displayed when they are clearly not set up for emergencies. Thank GOD I found care for my puppy elsewhere. I will never use or recommend VCA. Pathetic.

In 2016 they killed our 5 year old cat because they switched 3 different vets that could not get on the same page with his pneumonia care! We personally hold Dr. Olinger and Dr. Gould responsible and they had 0 compassion. Furthermore, billing tried to tell us on the way out right after watching him slip away in CPR that we had to pay the bill then and there with no options! I hope this place rots in hell!! I brought my Arthur here in the middle of the night for what appeared to be seizures. I was told I couldn’t come in with him, so I hesitantly handed him over to a girl. That was the last time I saw him alive. They told me they would call me on my cell to give me an update as I waited in my car. I was very upset because I couldn’t be with him. I waited for an hour when I got the call that he had a heart attack. They asked if I wanted them to save him, and of course I said yes. About 45 minutes later, no call , no nothing. I called them to see if Arthur had made it and they told me he was stable but not in good shape. Soon after they called and told me he had another heart attack. I was crying and in shock. By now I was standing at the entrance, wanting to see him as they told me euthanasia was what they advised. I was outside crying when a young man came out and literally told me in a rude voice, that they could see me on the camera. He was so mean and rude. He also told me to get back because I didn’t have a mask on. I asked if I could please be with Artie and hold him while they administered the meds for euthanasia. He said no. I was heartbroken. I don’t care about the Covid thing and whether I had a mask on or not. He was dying and this guy had no heart. I will never bring any pet to this place. I even asked if they could bring him outside for me to hold him. No again. But they did agree to put him on a gurney in the back outside for me and my family, who left work to say goodbye to him, after he was dead.

I had a stressful day today, my bunny was dying, I kept calling places to help me out with my emergency but each one just seemed like they wanted to hang up on me right away and didn’t care for my situation, I kept going in circles with the referrals given, and places just kept saying “we don’t do exotics” I was about to give up and cry, I literally got rejected by a whole list given by my original vet that was useless! But I called this place and a nice man spoke with a calm voice, seemed to care about my situation and mentioned a referral that actually helped and had an exotic vet. If it weren’t for him my bunny would be in so much pain and dying slowly. She’s at a clinic now, don’t know if she’ll make it but I’m so happy someone helped me in a situation where I felt helpless, and genuinely cared and listened to my situation.

I was told my dog has a heart murmur. Following the vets instructions I scheduled lab work and imaging. There is complications with scheduling the imaging as it’s a third party. My issue came mostly from the lab work appointment. I received a call from the vet while waiting at my car describing what happened. The vet went over the basics and when I was asking questions about the echo imaging and issues related the lab work I was told “ok bye” about 5 times in a condescending tone in the middle of my asking questions. With the confusion of the other procedure and how to deal with vca and the third party testing company no one is able to make clear scheduling or what is next. My overall experience is that vca jams in appointments while they can get more pets in due to COVID restrictions of people waiting at their cars while they grind out work with less interaction with the pet owners. I have nothing against taking volume to make more money but when they can’t effectively execute the work they take on and the vet answers your questions like your annoying her that is the last straw. All that being said I do like the lady that came to my truck to bring in my dog. She was really sweet to my dog who don’t like going to the vet.

We came here as our regular vet was closed but our cat had ate a ribbon two days prior and had began vomiting that night. We arrived at 5:45, but the staff informed us we would be under emergency hours as we wouldnt been seen til after 6:00. We understood and waited patiently for someone to come out and get our information. 7:15 rolls around and no one has come out to see us yet, I call in and they assured us only 2 people are ahead of us. 8:00 a vet finally comes out and takes our information and take in our cat. He has also been acting completely normally since we left aside from him being scared in the car. 20 min later they call us recommending x rays to see whats going on. We agree to the $550 charge, we werent offered any other options at that time. An hour and a half later, 9:30, the vet calls us and says it looks like theres probably a ribbon in his intestines and that we should do emergency exploratory surgery to find it. Someone will be out to give us an estimate on the surgery. Someone else came out and informed us it would be $5500+ for the surgery and they would need to board him for 2 days. We were shocked. My boyfriend was angry and sharply asked the person that came out why it was so much and what all they were doing in those two days, pointing to specific items on the bill. She got defensive and curtly told us she didnt know and shed have the vet call us to explain it. A half hour later at 10:10 the vet called us back and asked us what questions we had. We asked if we had any other options and if we could take our cat home instead as boarding is stressful for animals. The vet said they needed to monitor him after surgery so we needed to board him and our only other option was to take him to our regular vet the next morning but he might not make it through the night. We were stunned...other than the vomiting that happened 6 hours ago our cat seemed fine. We opted to try our regular vet the next day. I asked if we could get a copy of the x rays sent to us so our vet could look over them. They said theyd email them, but didnt until I called the following morning asking again for them. Our vet reviewed them and after talking with her about what we could do we opted for surgery from her. $1400 all together with our vet, we took our cat home the same day, and was informed far better about what was happening. I know this is a big place and they do emergency services, but overall I felt like they were using scare tactics to get us to drop a lot more money than was necessary on our pet. Avoid going here if you can, and check at your vet what emergency vets they recommend should the need arise.

I had a very exasperating morning when no vet facility in Coachella Valley would accept our sick cat, including the emergency hospital. We immediately got on the phone early on Sunday and found Yorba Regional. They assured us our Marco would be seen. They immediately took him in to assess and then he saw a veterinarian a short time later while we waited in the parking lot (COVID). The vet called us to go over our options and we decided he needed to spend the night. Dr. Olinger promised to call that evening (she did) and again the next morning (she did). He had improved so we made the trek back to pick him up that afternoon. He has definitely improved and is on the mend. The vet techs were awesome (he had 3 assigned to him). The communication was great and Dr. Olinger was responsive both by text and with her phone calls. We couldnt be happier and found it was well worth the 80+ mile drive to get the best care for our Marco. Thanks to Dr. Olinger and the Yorba Regional staff! Much appreciated!

If I had to describe VCA Yorba Regional Hospital in one word, I would use negligent. I got my 8-week old Maltese-Poodle, Kingsely, 9-days ago. He was healthy when I got him, but he ended up having worms and parasites. This is normal for a puppy so I brought him to this vet. In the 9-days having him, I brought him to this hospital 5 times! In those 5 times, he was treated and each doctor working on him would describe his condition differently. In addition, each time they would quote me and charge me a different price even though they were servicing the same way each time. On the third time I brought him in, he wasn’t eating on his own so I wanted professional help. The nurse working on him said when I picked him up 5 hours later, “he was too difficult to feed so I did not feed him and I also did not wash him,” even though I asked specifically for those two services done. I brought Kingsely in 5 times and in those 5 times I was not happy and his condition ended up getting worse. He was mistreated, and I truly believe this hospital was negligent and committed malpractice. On the 5th visit, I decided to hospitalize Kingsely and during his 24 hour stay, Kingsely passed 4 hours into the stay. 2 hours before he died, I called the nurses station to check on him and a young man said he was doing better and he was being fed through a tube. They did not care for him enough and they did not have supervision over him even when he was in this critical state. The worst part is when I visited the hospital to get closure, he was wrapped in a rag and he still had stool and pee stains on him. I am devastated and I am consulting with an attorney. All they cared about payment and not the well being of my puppy.

I brought my dog in yesterday evening (Labor Day) because he was struggling to breathe due to CHF. I rescued my chihuahua/pug a few years ago and knew he had this degenerative heart condition. He wasn’t comfortable and seemed very ill. I had another vet estimate his age to be around 14 and was told his heart condition was pretty bad (this was a couple years ago). Dr. Dunbar told me he was probably closer to 8 years old and his condition was very treatable/manageable. He wanted 2 grand to keep him overnight but said he could go home and was very optimistic about his condition. He didn’t once say your dog doesn’t look like he’s going to make it through the night. He did not have my dogs best interest in mind and it was obvious he wanted to get as much money out of me as possible. My dog died overnight. I stayed up late to get his meds in him but he was sick. I woke up to a dead dog and I’m furious about how the situation was handled. The x ray was 500 bucks. 80 bucks to take his blood pressure etc. He never offered that the most humane thing to do is to maybe put your dog down and end the suffering. Crooked Vet. Borderline malpractice in my opinion.

My 9 week old puppy had parvo. I called the vet in advance letting them know I needed specific services fluid and medicine to stop him from vomiting and that I only had x amount of money for treatment. I get there they take my dog and then call me about testing which I explained he already had done and I had an invoice. They wanted the actual test results which was impossible to obtain from the vet who closed early because it was Christmas Eve. They then come back with an invoice that was between 3-4K and I explained to them that I knew what services I needed and that I had a budget as previously explained, they then presented another invoice between 1-2k again for services I was not asking for. They then ended up doing what I asked for 210.00. I got through parvo by the 6th day and on day 7 I called and asked how much would it cost for a Parvo retake test and was told I dont know. Your a vet and parvo is a very common disease, how do you not know your own prices and why cant you find someone who does know? I am going to another vet as many other posters mentioned this vet is VERY money driven.

I had called on Memorial Day to come in for an emergency c-section. I had only decided to give them a call because I know their prices. Other friends of mine who are breeders paid $600 during regular hours and $1200 emergency hours. They told me it would probly be $2000 potentially a lot more but they would not give me a quote without coming in and seeing the doctor. Being that I live one and a 1/2 hours away I wasnt going to make that drive without getting some type of estimate. So much for being breeder friendly and affordable

They are always amazing! I have 2 English bulldogs and the doctors are always knowledgeable about illnesses they may have or prone to getting. The assistants are always great and make sure everything is taken care of. Getting the results for tests is always quick. They explain pricing up front if they recommend any vaccine, medication, or testing. I love that when I get my bill Im not surprised. The doctor even got down on the floor to play with my pups, which of course my pups loved! The only downside is during my last visit, because of the covid 19, I had to stay in my car. It was 92 degrees and both my pups are prone to heat stroke, we sat out there waiting for over an hour, even with the ac on it wasnt enough. I would recommend this place, the wait is the only thing that brings my rating down.

Immediately after pick up it was clear he hadn’t eaten all weekend and had uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea. After one day home and still not eating he was taken to a more reliable vet where he was closely taken care of. However, still after two weeks his condition continues with the minimal eating/drinking and still uncontrollable bowel movements. Before coming to VCA my puppy was just a pretty good old pup. He would relax through out the day and got excited when his mom would come home. He was able to still go up and down the stairs no problem. And I was always happy that he was doing good for a 15 almost 16 year old dog. Since his last boarding his activity level has declined. Every day it seems worse. Please AVOID THIS PLACE if possible.Original:Good for boarding but don’t recommend having a “resort pampered pet bath.” My dog came back smelling and stained of urine.

WARNING!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I recently went to this vet because my 3 year old boxer had a stroke, which I believed to be caused by heat stroke. As I rushed down and called them en-route, a lady at the front desk puts me on a 5-6 minute hold and never even asked me if it was an emergency before doing so; thus when she came back to pick up the phone, I was already pulling into the parking lot! (Is this what you call a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital?) When I arrived, Dr. Weiss explained to me he wanted to do an EKG and “in house” blood work, and I left my dog in their care for approx. 40 min’s - the cost would be $324.20 for both tests (he never broke down the individual cost for each, and I wasn’t aware of the breakdown of costs until I received my receipt upon returning 40 min’s later to pick up my dog. The first thing I noticed was “ECG” on the receipt (not an EKG that Dr. Weiss told me), and Melissa (front desk person) and Sandy (Technician Supervisor), both told me it is a “hand-held small digital device” (not what I expected to have Dr. Weiss use on my dog, esp. when he told me he also wanted to check my dog for a possible heart issue / attack.) Things got even worse when I asked for 3 straight days for a copy of the “EKG” test results (including the day I was there). While Melissa gave me a copy of the “in-house” blood work results the same day, I continued to call for 3 more days, asking for the “EKG” results. I kept getting the run-around from the gals at the front desk that there was no way they could give me a copy of the “EKG” results because it was a “small, hand-held, digital device” and they weren’t able to email, scan, or fax the results to me! Finally on the third day, Sandy calls me to explain the same thing I was being told by the front desk, and when I pressed her on the issue, and the fact I was having doubts that Dr. Weiss even performed the test in the first place, she agreed, and also doubted the test was ever done. When I demanded half of my bill be refunded, she put me on hold to get permission from the finance manager and it was agreed I would be refunded half of my bill. HORRIBLE!! Would you put your furry loved ones in their care?? I was mis-led, and lied to, and entrusted the health of my dog in their care — but NEVER again! You lost me as a customer! Even when I went to my regular vet this past week for his 2 week follow up, my regular vet commented on how basic the “in house” blood work was and couldn’t believe the price I paid ($200.95). My regular vet did an IN-DEPTH blood panel that has 3 times more things listed that they tested for - for only $165!! Do your homework - ALWAYS demand copies of the test results, and ask them the differences between EKG and “ECG” and about their “in-house” blood work costs - which is too expensive for the very few things they test for! There are other 24 hour / vets in Yorba Linda that have much cheaper prices!! Just search online!

We have stayed clients all this time, even after they were purchased by VCA. We board our dogs there with confidence; they always trot off with the attendants when we drop them off, not the least bit afraid. They come home completely themselves, like theyve been at the spa. I love that there are cameras so I can view them in their rooms.Currently having three dogs who are active in dog sports and obedience, and two of them being 10 years old, it seems like we are at Yorba a LOT! Lumps, bumps, broken toenail from agility, mystery illness contracted out on the road with us in the RV. Quite literally the worst, the slowest, and the most expensive vet we have ever been to (and weve been to a lot of vets). Our dog was throwing up for a couple of days so we took her here. We waited 45-60 minutes to be seen, just to be thrown in an exam room to wait another 20 minutes for the nurse to look at her for 3 minutes. After another 15 minute wait the Dr comes to examine her for 5 minutes and suggests over $700 in treatments. The next day we came back for an emergency hours visit to find the place deserted except for what appeared to be 4-5 receptions (at 8pm on a Sunday) sitting around chit chatting. We get placed in an exam room and sit there for 30 minutes while our dog is choking and gagging. The whole time we can hear several people talking and laughing and having a grand ol time. No one ever came. We left and took our dog to a vet that actually cared and had a sense of urgency with reasonable prices. Avoid at all costs (no pun intended).

My family and I used to love Yorba Regional Animal Hospital but we will no longer bring any of our pets here. We have been going since it was owned by Dr. Dunbar and have collectively spent close to thousands here on our pets previously. My baby, a senior chihuahua named Binky, passed away early morning Saturday 2/15/2020 at home. We brought Binky here to be seen, and cremated because we used to love and trust this company. However, upon leaving Binky’s remains there have been multiple issues and lies regarding his care. We were told he would be kept in his blanket that we brought him wrapped in, however when we came back to see him he was not in his blanket, and they had me try and pick his out of a pile of blankets which were soiled. He was wrapped in a worn out blanket and we have no idea who it actually belonged to. We tried to forget this lie due to the pain of losing Binky being greater than this issue but now they have let us know his remains will not be picked up to be cremated until Wednesday 2/26/2020 which is almost 12 days since he passed. This extremely painful time has been prolonged by some sort of “internal issue” according to a staff member named Jeannie. This means I will not have Binky’s ashes for almost 3 weeks after his passing which is traumatizing. Again we used to love this place, but their greed has taken over with no regard to our pain and suffering of losing our pet. I didn’t even get an apology from Jeannie when I spoke to her on the phone. I pleaded with them to please pick him up sooner to be cremated but was told no. This is after being told originally that he would be picked up on Tuesday 2/18/2020. The staff has also been avoiding our calls it seems and when we do speak with them it’s a cold and rude exchange on their end. I can say Sarah Lee was extremely kind and at least empathetic of our sorrow. I also appreciate the sympathy card they sent me, as stated we used to love this company and know they can be great but it seems this time was unfortunately very different. Lastly, I left a voicemail last night requesting a supervisor call me today and had to call again at 4pm because no one had followed up. Please if your pet passes away do not prolong you or your pets wait time, the pain of losing a pet is extreme and this limbo they have left us in is disturbing. I understand process and policy however this seems extensive and drawn out.

Go somewhere else! My puppy was having a bad reaction to a dog biscuit: face swollen, hard time breathing, trembling. It was midnight and I was grateful to find this place. We rushed there and the vet said it could be choking and she wanted to take a $475 x-ray to find out. My puppy vomited there on her examining table and she barely looked at it, then said she didnt need to see the biscuit box to see if any of the ingredients were common allergens, because she needed the x-ray in order to diagnose. I left but had to pay $87 for the useless visit. I went home, gave my puppy a cool bath and a lot of love and by the next morning he was fine. WTF! Dont these people care at all about animals? Guess not, its all about making money. Because suspecting choking seemed ridiculous I didnt pay for an x-ray, but what if it hadnt been so obvious? Please, do not trust these people. Go somewhere else!

I brought my senior cat, Rambo, into the hospital on the 27th with claws that had grown into his paws because he stopped scratching his post. The place was nice enough, very clean and spacious, and staff seemed friendly enough. However, after the treatment I asked about wrapping Rambos paw because of his environment and was told no because cats dont like that. Even after explaining that I live in a small RV with carpet and other cats so getting rid of the usual litter in favor of paper litter was impossible. All I got was a sort of blank look, half-smile, and a shrug. So I gave Rambo his anti-inflammatory meds, Ive been wrapping his paw to keep the wound clean, loosely because Im no pro at wrapping, and the wrapping keeps coming off. And the swelling isnt going down, probably because of the environment Id warned them about to begin with. So I call today and talk to a lady who doesnt seem to understand why I cant use paper litter ( which is also extremely expensive, to which she suggests ripping up paper towels, still completely missing my point. ) She puts me on hold several times and finally tells me that all the vets agree they would not wrap the paw because it keeps the wound moist, which makes healing take longer, and suggests I come in for another ridiculously overpriced visit. Now, Im no vet, but the VCA website suggests wrapping a cats paw in cases of punctures or similar injuries to keep it clean and dry. THEIR OWN WEBSITE contradicts them.I told them I would not be bringing my cat to their facilities again. These guys are out to make a buck, not help animals.

I am so surprised at the amount of care her remains had. They even came out and presented her in a way that showed dignity and respect. Also, she has alot of stuff. I thought it would just be a plain box or just a baggy of ashes. But I was surprised. A couple days after her passing I also received an condolence card from this pet hospital. I have yet to receive anything from her doctor of 11 years which is why I high recommend VCA Yorba Reginal Animal Hospital. They cried with us during the passing and they have shown how much they love every animal they care for in ways well above any vet I have been to no matter how long, or in Lilys case short they have been caring for them. Thank you so much for everything.

DO NOT bring your pet to this hospital. I was recommended to this place by Banfield Hospital (which is associated with Pet smart). My cat who was constipated at the time, was taken here. Let me tell you, that they do not care about your pet or your financial being. I would do anything for my baby, but the pricing was a major issue. It cost around $900 for all the medication and procedure. Not to mention, they recommended him to stay an other night to help with his issue manually. That was another 1,000. We visited him twice, he was perfectly healthy(acted normally) when we brought him in (despite the issue). He wasn’t himself the the first time he visited, and the second time he looked terrible. They took our money, gave us some useless pills and set us on our way. I’ve had my cat for 8 years, he has been through hell, even worst then this, so the fact that he passed away 4 days later makes me question what they actually did To him. Please do yourself and your pet a favor, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE. (Pet owner to pet owner). They just want your money, and losing a pet is one of the hardest things you’ll have to go through. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Do your research, make sure you are aware of where you are taking your pet.

The service here is lacking. Adrian the customer service manager is the worst. They may want to look elsewhere for a better manager. Someone with professionalism and compassion. Adrian was rude and condescending. Shes a cancer in this facility.I boarded my dog and had her treated for an ear infection. When I asked Adrian about one of the charges that said 4 in the Qty column she said that was probably 4Mil or something. That charge was $149.00. She didnt ask for assistance from the Dr or a technician that could have told her that the charge was actually input wrong and I was being overcharged by $114.. Adrian was too proud to ask for help and instead spoke to me like I was stupid. We pay top dollar here and should be treated with kindness, compassion and professionalism. Dr. Weiss and Kyla are great with our dog but I wish they worked at another facility.

**Be aware of your final check out charge they bill you for, when picking up your dogs from boarding.** I recently boarded my 2 dogs for a 5 day stay, and was quoted and even confirmed my quote of $288 a couple of times prior to drop off. When I picked up my dogs, the girl at the counter told me my check out cost was $320, which made me furious. She told me it looked like they charged me for an extra day stay, then as I looked at her computer screen to understand what happened, she changed her story to, actually, it looks like they never exited the screen when we gave your dogs their influenza vaccines, and they charged you for an extra influenza vaccine (which is $23.) This made no sense to me, as $320 - $288 doesnt equal a cost difference of $23, nor does my almost $53/day boarding cost. So get your estimate in writing or know the name of the person who quoted you prior to drop off.

They take really good care of our dogs and the facility is very nice. Its also nice to know they are open 24/7 in case we need anything. My wife and I have used Yorba Regional exclusively for 12 years. They are the best in dog care (and exotic animals too). We have had to use their 24 Emergency service, and have been dealt with quickly, efficiently and lovingly. We used to travel from Irvine, but now from Corona, as they are the ONLY vets we will use. They are not the cheapest vet, but they care greatly for our dogs; as if they were in their own family.Their fees are fair. Our dogs are worth it. They have had to put down three of our old dogs over the years. The staff was loving and caring to both animal and human when hearts are raw. In sickness and in health, if your dog deserves the best, we recommend them highly. They care for cats too, and we would take it there if we had one.. We are lucky enough not to have one.

About 2 weeks ago, my sister transferred her kitten (who just had surgery) from another hospital because this hospital had 24 hour hospitalization. When she got there the kitten was fine, one of the techs came to the front to take the kitten to the back so she could be examined and be in the proper medical care. My sister waited a whole 2-3 minutes to be put in a room so she could meet the doctor and for future plans for the kitten. The vet came in with a very happy face and very bubbly (at this time, my sister was thinking everything was fine)... the vet introduced herself and proceeded to tell my sister that the kitten stopped breathing, they did everything possible and that the kitten died... KEEP IN MIND THIS ALL HAPPENED WITHIN 5-6 minutes.... all the vet said was Ill give you some time after my sister broke down crying... the tech came in and no condolences given, but of course the first thing she mentioned was how much the cremation was going to cost and if she wanted she could do a private cremation.... This hospital is ALL about money and nothing else. My sister didnt feel very welcomed and the vet and tech tried to hurry her out. MY SISTER REGRETS TAKING HER TO THIS HOSPITAL! I will continue to tell my friends and family to stay away from this hospital for that particular reason. Also about 2 weeks later we took our other cat in for a check up and had a horrible experience with Dr. Wong. She seemed to be in a hurry, didnt take the time to listen to our cats heart and proceeded to talk about a stool sample (AGAIN MORE MONEY). Dr. Wong just seemed rude and didnt take the time for us to feel welcomed. We came here because its closer to our house, but we will be making the extra drive and taking both my cats records and returning to Cottage Pet Hospital in Anaheim.

You have to try out all the groomers to see who is the best fit for what you are looking for. Unfortunately they do tend to have a high turn around with groomers for some reason. My first experience was was negative, but I fault the doctor at the time. Took our cat in for an annual check up and the doctor said his belly felt full, but seemed unconcerned. Two days later we had to take him back in as an emergency visit because he was acting unusual, not eating, and hiding. Turned out to be a massive tumor in his pancreas. The emergency vets beside manner lacked any reassurance and just brushed us off.The followup was with Dr. Linda Lee, who was spectacular. She was very kind and compassionate and laid out the situation clearly- the issue, the treatments, and the odds. Ultimately, we had to make the terrible choice. Dr. Lee handled it personally and gave my wife and I all the time we needed to say our goodbyes and prepare. Still she maintained a very no nonsense approach and told us what to expect. It was heartbreaking, but I am absolutely certain that Dr. Lee made the situation tolerable. We even got a personalized sympathy card from Dr. Lee a few weeks after we brought our cats ashes home. Im not sure if that was standard practice at YR, but it was a touching gesture that helped us on the road to recovery. It was because of this experience with that we continue to go to Yorba Regional Animal Hospital, and why we continue to have our cats treated by Dr. Linda Lee.Everyones experience is going to differ, but I recommend Yorba Regional Animal Hospital and always recommend Dr. Lee (who deserves 5-stars on her own).

The receptionist, Yanin, was friendly and courteous and arranged for our dog to be evaluated quickly. Dr. Postel could not have been nicer or more professional. She diagnosed our dog, recommended and administered a steroid injection, and asked that we wait in the room with our dog so she could reevaluate him some time later to make sure he was OK to go home. While waiting our dog continued to pant heavily and my husband wanted to give him water. He asked the front desk for a water bowl and they pointed to a cabinet. He couldnt find one and finally grabbed a cup. He went back to the room and while giving our dog water from the cup, Chelsea came in with a bowl to which my husband said too late. She then proceeded to put the bowl on the ground, tell my husband that he should use this instead so water doesnt get all over the floor in an extremely snippy tone, then slammed (yes slammed) the door. Seriously? That is how you treat clients for getting water on a tile floor in a Vets office that we were going to clean up? We immediately left and will not go back.

I took her to them so they can check why she died... They said her belly was to big and might have caused her heart to fail. Why didnt they tell me this when I took her in the first time and give me an option to keep her or the babies alive???? I emailed the owner back and forth, and came to the conclusion that they do not care for the animals, its a business. They got about $850 from all the visits. I took my dog in for what I felt was an emergency as her back legs didnt work...Id called ahead, told the operator my needs, and she was reassuring. I asked how payment worked as I had a plan B in another city, but thought time was of the essence....she said the office visit was $50 and that as other charges were incurred they would discuss that w/ me....I asked if they worked w/ you on payment as I had no idea what we were dealing with as of yet....she assured me they would work with me. They were nice in the office, quickly helped me back.....then the vet came in and took a look...he suggested a blood test, which I knew they would and said OK.....nothing came back abnormal, The vet then suggested an x-ray of my dogs stomach....nothing came back abnormal. The next phase of recommendations was that I leave my dog, they watch her overnight, feed her, do another test...but if nothing panned out from there I would be referred to a neurologist. My dogs back legs were unresponsive, front legs wobbly at best, and she seemed disoriented. After this latest suggestion by the vet, the nurse came in w/ a write up of services and a potential bill.....$935. I about died of sticker shock. The crummy part was that the first 2 tests the vet did were $500 of that bill....the 2 tests that are probably the first rule of thumb cost the most. I asked if I could put down the $50 now, then come back in the am - to see my dog and to pay the rest....and thats when the fun began. The two nurses, became surly and rude....the emphasis on my dog and the compassion for my pet left the room as we discussed how they would not keep her w/o payment up front. I recounted my experience and communication on the phone prior to arrival and they said that was NOT the way they did business, and that they dont know who that was who told me this information. When I mentioned I could pay the next day (my dad was helping us out), they said Well can you call him to do a credit card by phone....In the end they took my $50, of which I paid the next day in full....and my dog went home and worked through whatever was wrong (we suspect she ate something funky off a neighbors lawn). Although youd think in a blood work up youd notice toxin in the system. My dog is fine, no residual issues, I have no answers from this hospital, and Im out $500. Its fortunate they are working with the Anaheim PD on the care for the service dog....and the press theyve received is priceless, but their services definitely have a price tag and youd better come prepared to pay up or they really turn into Dr Jekylls....it is sad as I wont ever go there, or refer there again.

When we ran out of the pain killing drugs prescribed for her, I went back to Yorba Regional Animal Hospital and they refused to refill the prescription. They said I have to go back to the oncologist even through they were our primary vet. It was a weekend and we were out of drugs. They refused to even give us enough drugs to get her through the weekend. Their actions show a complete lack of compassion for a dying animal.

Absolute worst group of inept and incompetent pet handlers I have ever seen. Do not bring your dog here!!!! They cant take care of them at all and their prices are through the roof. I had to come back from my vacation early because they cant handle anything at all. So beware, there are much better boarding places out there. My advice is to absolutely skip this one.

My experience has been mediocre. And I would not recommend this hospital for rabbits and guinea pigs (even if they say they see exotic animals). My first bad experience with this hospital was when I took my sick guinea pig in 2 years ago (he had not eaten and his eyes were sunken). They took him to the back to check on him and when they came back, my guinea pig came out ridiculously freaked out. I could tell he was breathing hard and his heart rate was really high. The vet told us they had to give him oxygen - I thought to myself how stressed out did you get him to the point that he needed oxygen? He never regained composure from that and died 5 hours after the vet visit, even though they sold us medication and critical care food.Yesterday, we took one of our bunnies because it was Sunday, and we couldnt find any other place that saw small animals on Sundays. And I thought it was weird that after telling the doctor what we fed our bunny she commented leafy greens are supplementary. They should mainly be eating hay and pellets, which isnt at all true. Any bunny owner or resource out there would tell you that hay should be available and accessible to them at any given time of the day. They can eat as much as they want. Second are the fresh leafy greens. There essential. Last in the diet are pellets. Clearly, the vet didnt have a clue about rabbit nutrition. At any rate, I noticed that my bunny wasnt eating today, so I called the hospital for critical care food so I could feed him myself. Whoever answered the phone simply said Were a 24 hour animal hospital, so we dont sell rabbit food here. You should try a pet store. I was extremely confused because I remember them selling me critical care food before for my guinea pig. Not to mention...youre telling me that you dont sell critical care food for sick animals at an animal hospital where you...treat...sick...animals...? That doesnt make sense at all. I didnt argue, instead I asked if they had any information where Id be able to find critical care food (given that theyre a hospital, they would have a good idea at least...or so I thought). The girl said no as soon as I finished my question and seemed rather impatient. Now I have to figure out where else to get critical care food to feed my bunny. After that phone call (and adding my past experiences), Ive decided to never bring my animals again. The only good point I can give them, is that they spayed my female bunny, and she didnt have any issues from that. And I suppose the fact that theyre open on Sundays. Thats about it.

Yorba Regional Animal Hospital is awesome. They took amazing care of my boy when he was attacked by a coyote. He is now good as new and isnt afraid to go to the vet. Great staff and facility.

I have used Yorba Regional Animal Hospital several times when I have boarded my GSD Niko. Never have I had an issue with their service. I was happy to receiver a phone call from a tech, from the hospital regarding an issue with Niko. The hospital is always clean. I will continue to use this hospital for all of my future boarding. I also like the idea of being able to see my dog via cameras inside boarding suites. I just use my tablet to log on to the hospital website and I see my dog.
