Had Cyclone-Rathert put in a radon system. The work was well done, on time, and no surprises. Jeremy and Rod were great to work with. The radon level was reduced to a very low level. They used high quality materials too. I also liked that they hired a electrical company to do the wiring and they made sure the system was located to be pretty much out of sight. They came back to test the radon level too/provided a report.

Ive been a customer with Cyclone Contracting for many years. They have always been friendly, responsive, professional, respectful of me, my property and home. When my old heating system started to fail in the middle of winter, they were there to ensure they got it working again and that we were not without heat. I purchased my new furnace and installed central air through Cyclone Contracting. They are a great company to work with and I am very happy with what the work and equipment theyve installed in my home. When my old water heater died, I had Cyclone Contracting install a new one. I highly recommend their services. Now, I am looking into remodeling and will be calling them for estimates and considering them for my projects.

We loved our experience with Cyclone. They completed a kitchen/dining/living remodel for us, including tearing down an old exterior wall and placing a beam to create the open concept we wanted. Jenny, their designer, was amazing and helpful. I had a rough idea in mind and she helped with all the details to make that idea come to life. The Cy guys were professional, hard working and respectful of our family space. Nathan, the project lead, was available and willing to communicate about the smallest details. We have already started another project with them!

Tried contacting them twice over the course of a month to get an estimate done. Was told each time someone would contact me back within a couple days. Heard nothing back either time. I was looking forward to this company due to the good reviews, but unfortunately can only rate on poor customer service and communication.

Cyclone Contracting installed new windows into our family room. These were new installations involving carpentry, window installation, vinyl siding. What we appreciated most was there willingness to listen to our desires and work with us to achieve our vision. Others we contacted basically said these are the windows we represent, take it or leave it, we dont care if they match the rest of your house. The crews were professional, neat and tidy while working and clean up when finished day-by-day. This is the second time we have used Cyclone and they are the best!

We had Cyclone Contracting add a tub, tile shower surround and new floor in our primary bathroom. Once the project was scheduled, it went like clockwork and they were always here when they said they would be. Cyclone did an incredible job on an extensive remodel of our 100 year old home. Their designer, Jennie, is nothing short of amazing. Her ideas, plans, attention to the smallest details were stellar and often above and beyond what was expected. This year, before the pandemic really hit Iowa, we had decided to move forward with our kitchen remodel. This was actually more than just the kitchen, we were also wanting to re-do the lighting and wiring throughout the rest of the house, adjust a window size and position, remove a wall and rid ourselves of the classic 1970’s popcorn glitter ceiling that the entire house had. We had hired Cyclone Contracting in the past to do 2 bathrooms and were pleased with the results, so we decided to go with them for the entire rest of the home remodel. Most of it was the kitchen but we were ready to rid ourselves of the rest of the 1976 designs and layouts in the house and wanted to do it in one big project.From the very beginning, Jennie and Larry were very helpful and patient with us as we walked through a few different remodel designs and options. We would not have ended up with the amazing layout and kitchen functionality that we have now had it not been for Jennie’s design expertise. They were with us every step of the way and I appreciated the detail in which the contract was drawn up and the ease at which we were able to add/remove and negotiate the line items. We wanted to be involved in the process and they made it very easy to do so.We are not really trendy or home-design conscious people, so it was difficult for us to pick out the tile, flooring, cabinet color, etc. on our own. Having Jennie and the access to the showroom with no pressure on timeline or picking things out was a plus. We made sure we got what we wanted and were confident that it worked best in our home. They were very patient with us even when we changed our minds a few times!Their carpentry crew led by Nate and their craftmanship on the cabinet install and all things trim were second to none. If you need anything in the carpentry area, Cyclone Contracting are your guys. Some things that we thought were going to be simple turned out to have all sorts of little hidden problems and they were able to walk us through all the options and did an excellent job pulling everything together.As with any project, there were some hiccups on the way. Cyclone kept good on their word and came out to work on anything that needed some extra work to get it just right. This project moved right along, and we were pleased with the timeline of construction, especially considering all the unknowns with the pandemic. Anyone who has seen our house before and then after is blown away with the transformation. It truly is a different home now and we have received many, many compliments on how it turned out. I can tell you, if we were to have done this project on our own, without Cyclone’s skill and design guidance, it would not have turned out this nice.I would recommend them for any remodel you may need.

Cyclone Contracting is a really great group. They did a major renovation of our house including kitchen, living room, and part of our basement. The project included cabinets, plumbing, and really excellent carpentry (moved a stairway). They were pleasant and good communicators. They were on time and on budget. We had our furnace and AC unit replaced by Cyclone Contracting. Every aspect from the estimate through the installation went better than expected. Elise was extremely knowledgeable and of the 3 contractors we had bidding on the project, she seemed to understand our needs the best and ended up recommending the right balance of cost, ROI, energy savings, and rebates to us. Brent and Ryan were friendly and willing to explain to this inquiring engineer what and why they did things the way they did. Everyone arrived when they said they would. They completed their tasks in a timely manner, and even said they would contact us when the weather / temperature was more conducive to finishing the charging / calibration of our AC unit (They performed this installation on one of the coldest days of this winter.) Everyone was extremely professional and courteous.

The best thing we ever did was hire Cyclone Contracting to renovate our kitchen. From the very beginning the were kind, professional, worked with our budget and we now have the kitchen of our dreams and love everything about it. Larry, Jeremy, and the team at Cyclone do an awesome job. They helped us with our basement finish several years ago doing HVAC, lining up contractors for insulation and drywall, and recently completed a radon mitigation system install for our home. Their staff is always prompt, polite, extremely clean (lay down runners through the whole house and wear footies to protect our flooring), and take a great deal of pride in their work. I always feel good referring these guys business knowing they will take great care of my friends, clients, and family.

Jay was here yesterday to perform routine service on our furnace. He was very thorough and great to work with--answered all my questions. I told him I had found a wasp nest outside in the furnace air intake pipe and had only been able to remove part of it. He very quickly solved my problem and suggested what I could do to prevent this from happening again. Great service.

Very impressed with Cyclone Contracting during our significant main floor remodel. We have installed an entirely new kitchen, hardwood floors and all new paint. We had excellent help during the design phase from Jordin, choosing all the materials and color selection, making sure the style throughout the home was cohesive and to our taste. During the project, Paul and Nathan were our go-to guys. Nathan built a beautiful custom fireplace mantel and did many minor tasks not originally planned just to make the place function and look better. As project manager, Paul communicated to us each phase of the project and when all the subcontractors would be on site. We even had the wrong flooring arrive to our house and Paul got this corrected within 24 hours. Most projects of this scope would take between 3-4 months (best case) and our project was completed in 2.5 months. The Cyclone employees are first class and I enjoyed having them around, they also made expert selections for the sub contractors. They are first on my list for future house projects.

We had Cyclone Contracting finish our basement a few years ago, we also had them service our AC and furnace twice a year and we are satisfied with them every time. Their staff are professional, they always put on shoe covers before entering my home (well all the small things count), they asked for permission when they need to change/replace a part, listened patiently to my concerns, answered my questions in a language I could understand, provided solutions to problems without making me feel I have to buy the product or part from them...This is a trustworthy business and I always call them first whenever I have something broken in my house.

We needed our furnace inspected on short notice. Cyclone Contracting was able to send Ryan to do the check and tuneup the following morning. He arrived on time, was gracious and professional, and did a great job cleaning and testing all the safety operations of our older furnace. Highly recommend.

We are in the middle of a massive remodel where we are doing most of the work ourselves. Cyclone roughed in all of the plumbing (3 baths, kitchen) installed a tankless water heater and will be putting in a split unit. In the midst of cleaning up a flooded basement, Trevor put in a new water heater, and Brent and Trevor recently replaced our furnace and air conditioner. I have been using Cyclone Contracting since the fall of 2002. They have done an outstanding job every year with my Preventative maintenance and there Bryant equipment has worked beautifully! Due to a human error in early May my older Air-conditioner was ruined. Instead of putting this on me as a customer Cyclone Contracting was completely honest, open, and upfront about the fact that it was their mistake. People are human and human beings make mistakes… It’s what you do about owning the mistake and correcting it that tells the tale ultimately. They made right on it by getting me a new air conditioner unit at no cost. This says a lot about customer service and honesty in this day and age and Cyclone Contracting completely made it right! I would recommend them hands down and will continue to utilize them for my heating and cooling needs for years to come!

If I could give Andy and Bruce from Cyclone more than five stars, I would! I cant say enough good things about the work they just completed for me and their friendly professionalism. Their response to my phone call was extremely prompt. The work they did was top notch and completed in a timely fashion. When finished, the work site was left completely clean. They did some re-siding, and there were no traces of old siding pieces or packaging. They even took away the old microwave after they installed a new one. I will definitely recommend Cyclone to my friends, and I will call them again if a need arises.

Aprilaire valve would not completely shut off.Ryan replaced saddle valve and then tackled the bad solenoid valve which turned out to be the main problem. Ryan was right on time, very professional, and was able to continue the project when it became more involved than originally thought. Would recommend them to anyone with furnace problems.

We went with Cyclone Contracting when we decided we needed to rebuild our garage, repour our driveway, and convert our carport into a 4-seasons sunroom. Even though the process was delayed a few times, primarily by weather, Cyclone Contracting was professional in working with us to try and keep everything as on schedule as we could. They also took care of any concerns we had, and made sure we got resolutions to any problems we had. The end result is great. We now have a much-larger two-car garage along with our new sunroom, and the interior of the room has turned out great. We would easily work with them again for another project.

Cyclone came to install our furance/AC today and they are the best! Even made a point to stay quiet during my 1-year-olds naptime for three hours in the afternoon.
