I never have to worry when I take our vehicles here. The staff is always friendly and professional. They do excellent work and stand behind what they say. We do not take our cars anywhere else. If they are busy, we wait.

Car started acting up an hour and a half away from home (engine), thankfully was in the right place at the right time. Pulled my car right in, found the problem and I was out the door in an hour or so. Awesome dudes, wasn’t looking to take advantage of my situation and even explained everything to me thoroughly. I left knowing more about an engine than I ever have. The energy in the place was great, too. They were having a good time, cracking jokes. 100% recommend. Best mechanic(s) I’ve EVER been to! Only wish they were local to me!

Had Meinekes techs weld chrome exhaust tips on to our trucks dual exhaust. They also corrected a slight bend in the muffler exhaust pipe so that the tips would be straight. The work they did was perfect. Service was fast. Cost was very reasonable. Techs were friendly and professional. Could not be happier with the service we received. Will definitely use them again!

I came in the other day 15 min before they closed with a tire that needed plugged and they got me right in and out. while i was there a lady came in with a tire as well that needed assistance (they were past closing time at this point) and they still got her car in because it was an emergency. Went in because my car was making some noise. Sounded like a ball joint or control arm...something like that. They said it was the sway bars and everything else was good. They replaced my sway bars. I left and my car is still making the same noise. Its a horrible noise. Sounds like the wheel is going to fall off. Im just a girl but I knew it wasnt the sway bars. Thanks for nothing Meineke. I have always had good experiences there before but yesterday it was like they had 12 yr olds working there that didnt feel like changing a ball joint. I wont ever go back there again. Now I have to take another day off work to have it fixed somewhere else.

Exhaust and brakes can be challenging. Broken bolts. Clamps. Braces. Running new lines. They make it fast and easy. Cheap and guaranteed.

I set an appointment for 9 am for a wheel alignment. Came into the Alton store, they told me they can’t do it because they don’t have the equipment. I made this appointment 3 days ago now I have to reschedule. NOT happy. 0 stars for me.

I cannot recommend the Alton Meineke highly enough. I came to them after I had visited the Wood River Meineke store. I had paid over $650 to have my valve cover gasket replaced at the Wood River location, then had to bring the car back the next day because the part was defective. That was understandable, but about a week later, my car began to leak oil. I took it back to Wood River, where they tried to tell me I needed a new timing belt. I had my doubts about that, so I took the car to the Alton location.The Alton shop was very accomdating and fixed me right up. They told that I needed a new valve cover gasket (go figure). I was impressed that they were so kind and willing to work with me to correct a mistake that wasnt even theirs. Everyone at the Alton store, especially Rusty, was extremely helpful and I am so grateful to them for working with me. To anyone reading this, stay as far as possible from the Wood River, IL Meineke. Go to the Alton location, where they treat you right. Thank you so much Alton Meineke!

Oh my gosh! This business is incredible! The staff is extremely knowledgeable, saves time and money for those of us who don’t do all the car stuff at home. We were really stuck- even after watching YouTube videos on how to replace the cabin filter on my Nissan Altima – 2012 – TJ and Manager Rusty jumped right in and took care of me! I cannot say enough great stuff about Meineke in Alton! They get the highest rating from me AND I will be back!

Be careful which mechanic touches your vehicle the younger guy there has no customer service experience and he really fixes the vehicles he chooses correctly.. Ive been there twice for services that was paid but the problem was not fixed... Choose wisely...

The guys were very helpful and knowledgeable. The tech that worked on my car was great. He kept my family and my budget on his mind while working on my car. If he had a concern about something he talked to me and showed me what the problems were. Very pleased with the service I received.

Tried to get an oil change. No luck. My hours of working are the same as theirs so i tried to make an appt. No luck. I use to like getting work done on my car there but not if i can not ever get in.

I had no heat in my vehicle in winter. I took my vehicle to meineke, given an estimate based on what I thought needed to be done either switching the regulator modular from cold to hot or replacing it. To my surprise, the best mechanic that was honest and even took the time to explain to me, that I was low on coolant, and how that affects the heat. He even showed me the hoses, and it was a 20.00 dollar fix. Thanks so much for your honesty and integrity towards your profession, 5 stars.

I came to Meineke on my work break, my windshield wipers stopped working, while raining. They got me in so fast, and repaired my wiper transmission. I was on my way back to work in no time. Workers were also very friendly.

Amazing service and knowledge, had issues with fan assembly took to another shop to fix, they did it incorrect. The guys at Meineke did their research fix my car and got me back on the road same day!! Highly recommend!

These guys are wonderful ! The only day I had free to take my car in was on a Saturday and I waited for my car to be done there because I didnt have a way to just drop it off. You get to observe a lot by sitting there and hearing their interactions with customers. I can tell theyre honest because they told quite a few people that they didnt need what other shops had suggested and if they couldnt do the repair they referred them to places that would be able to. Very polite and courteous to everyone. Rusty did an awesome job on getting my car back to being safe and drivable. The only complaint I have, which is not the shops fault, is the app and website dont send the shop your appointment so its best to call and make an appointment if youre planning on going there on a Saturday which seems to be the busiest day. Thank you so much guys ! Im glad I found a repair shop in my new town that I can trust.

Okay. So first things first, its very hard to be objective about this place. I have too many good opinions of the staff, and services offered, to be anything but subjective. I rate them 10/5 easily. I could have spent the time replacing the alternator myself, but instead, I let these kind people do it for me, and my only regret? Not letting them do it sooner. When I asked for the price, and the gentleman up front saw my face, he quite literally told me about other places I could get a part at cheaper, so that they could install if for less of a fee. They could have taken my nearly 400$, but instead, decided to help a random guy out. I mean, come on, if you arent sold yet, they are also very personable, and honestly, humorous. I decodde to sit and wait in the shop for my vehicle rather than get a ride just because it was nice to listen to them banter back and forth. My vehicle is now running perfectly, and it is oh so nice to be back on my own four wheels, and I owe it to them. Consider giving them your business? They were loaded, and still got me out in about and hour after I got my part to them. Its black magic almost.

Quote for repairs was over $1000. I was quoted a price for parts at $400, the part only costs about $100-200. I have to mark the parts up.

They gentlemen up there where very helpful and polite. I was/am trying to create a custom turbo car exhaust and they were more than helpful. They helped discuss ideas and how to and I can not explain how great they treated me and the care for my project car.

I always go to the Alton location because they are so nice and friendly. I like how they let you go back and see whats wrong with your car before they fix the problem. They do a awesome job and I will definitely be back!

These guys are very honest. They were able to get me in and out. I would recommend them as I went to a Meineke in St. Louis for a new muffler and they put one on that didn’t match(not even close) to the other muffler I have on and it wasn’t cheap. These guys are the “real deal”!

Very pleased with the front end work they did on my ford escape. They replaced the sway bar links and replaced the brake pads. The mechanic was very informative, and took the time to show me my wore out sway bar links and it took him less than a hour to complete the job.

JR did a great job fixing an exhaust leak on my car and had me back on the road in short order. I recommend Meineke for good workmanship and fair priced repairs.

Mark at the front desk was very very friendly, and tried everything to save us some money on what would’ve been a very expensive repair to replace a catalytic converter. Instead of spending around $1k, he found a minor issue with a valve gasket cover, and it only ended up costing us a fraction of what we were expecting to pay. Highly recommend!!!

Came in for a estimate for getting brakes for my car. Had went to another place and was told close to $400 to put brakes on and had to make a appointment. Meineke did the same thing for half the price and had my car in and out in a hour. Staff was awesome. Thank you.

They got me in quickly and did a mid muffler delete and active exhaust delete and put in a custom piece to replace the deleted parts .. The 2007 charger sounds awesome and the mods decreased the drone substantially . Awesome Job very satisfied

Went in for a oil change and seen several people come and go (getting everything from brakes to wheel alignments taken care of) while I sat waiting a hour and a half to complete something rather basic.

I made my appointment online with the Alton location, and upon arrival was lectured for making my appointment online. I was told it doesn’t work, so it makes more work for them, and that I wasn’t in their system. I’ve been to the Edwardsville location several times. I have never had any problems with the online appointment making there and have always been found quickly in the system. To top things off, they didn’t put the correct oil in my car or do the other services provided with an oil change (fluid top off, etc.) I went to the Alton location because I recently moved, but I will definitely be making the trip back to Edwardsville for my future car needs, rather than visiting the Alton location ever again.

Kudos to this location the mechanic even visually showed me what was going on with my car and explained everything in depth with visually showing me.

I called two hours before close with a brake problem. The owner was polite. He made no promises, but said he would try to get me in. 2 hours later, I was driving my car away with 4 new brake pads and rotors; at a reasonable price. Everyone was polite, and the owner was genuinely appreciative of peoples business. He made certain to thank everyone explicitly. I definitely recommend this store.
