Came in to rent a truck to find the gauged side wall we brought it to the owners attention and he says oh well its fine and we have no other vehicles for you. DO NOT RENT OR DO BUSINESS with this location hod awful everything.

Rented a moving truck from these guys. Made a reservation a week ahead of time. Truck was good. Price was right. No problems

This location is running a SCAM. Richard is extremely UNHELPFUL and was quick to argue with me. I returned the truck with a full tank of gas and they still charged me $56. Their logic does not add up. They saw a full tank of gas on the dashboard and still drove it to the gas station to fill it up. They used up more gas bringing it to the gas station.

Rick was very helpful and my rental was ready and waiting when I arrived.

Absolutely horrific experience here. Summary: Reserved 12-foot truck 4 days in advance of 10/7/20 for big move.. Night before our 7:30 a.m. pickup I get a voicemail saying, Please call us about tomorrows rental. Period. Never says anything about there being a problem. . .. I call back. They are closed. No option to have someone call me back. Leave message stating, I sure hope nothing is wrong. Please call me back as soon as you get to office in the morning (7 am) if there is any kind of problem.... I call national number and attendant confirms, Yes, we have your truck. All is well. No worries. . . . In the morning, no call from anyone. Arrive at location at 7:15 to pick up truck and am informed, We dont have a truck for you.. . . WHAT, ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME???. . . And the people in the store are unwilling to do ANYTHING to solve the problem except telling me, Call our national reps. . . . I do that and am told no one will be able to assist me for another hour. CSR refuses to even look up possible replacements . . . So, we called U-Haul and got the exact truck we needed and excellent customer service in fewer than 10 minutes. DO NOT RENT HERE.

Mr Richard and the crew are awesome great customer service if you need to rent a truck or equipment I would highly recommend them I have used them a few time great experience each time

These thieves still charged me $75 fee after rescheduling my drop off date for next day. Bad customer service.

Horrible truck rental. Been in the moving business in the area for many years. Rent from everyone with no issues. The older gentlemen in there gave me a hard time and demanded I call my personal insurance company. Absolutely ridiculous. I am licensed and insured 100%. Totally unprofessional on so many levels. Never use them!

STAY AWAY!!!! Horrible. Gave us a broken trailer that they knew was a mess. The jack didn’t work and then the brakes locked up on the interstate. Truck had a check engine light on. What a joke. This could have hurt my family and others on the road.This was all a disaster that luckily ended up fine. Just use another service for your moving truck. They just don’t care.

Crooks for sure... stay away from this location. Charged $10 for dropping a day early and another 10$ for said gas when truck was already full. Looks elsewhere as these guys will charge your card and never call with an explanation. Never use this Budget non corporate ripoff location.

Do not rent from Budget Truck rental in Altamonte Springs, FL unless you want a stressful move. I rented a 16 truck on November 4th to drive my belongings to Niceville, FL. I explained that I needed a mechanically sound vehicle as I am traveling alone and going a long distance. The truck they gave me had 158182 miles on it. They assured me it had just been serviced. I soon learned that the truck was leaking in the bed and the light didnt work. I stayed the night before getting on the road and when I was ready to leave, the truck wouldnt start. I called the rental location and the older man who rented me the truck was very cavalier. He told me to call roadside. I called roadside and waited for the mechanic. The only good thing I can say is Rich, the mechanic was wonderful. He replaced the battery, assured me the alternator was perfect and sent me on my way. It set me back 2 hours which got me home after dark. Rich text me to make sure I made it home. I have yet to hear from the branch.I returned the vehicle Wednesday in Crestview, FL. They took one look at the unit number and said, 22? When we get a vehicle this old, we are told to immediately bring it to auction. I now believe I was used to transport this vehicle out of their fleet, so it could be retired. I called customer service and was offered a $60 credit. I was also informed that I did not have to purchase Roadside assistance. I spent $429.70 and $110 in gas for 459 miles. $60 is not reason enough to give Budget my business ever again.

Very friendly staff and location is convienient to get in and out. I had no problem with the rate, it actually came in a little lower than I expected. Ill for sure use this location again next time I need a truck.

STAY AWAY! Rented a truck with my own insurance come to find out I was charged daily for additional insurance and add ons I never requested. Dont try and keep the truck an extra day or 2 or Richard will threaten to call the police on you not once but twice! Avoid at all costs! Terrible customer service and shady business practices! Do yourself a favor and go to uhaul down the road, save yourself a ton of money and a massive headache. I will be contacting my attorney..

Do not rent or return from this place! We returned truck here and later found an additional $89 charge. When I called the guy said that although he charged me I had to call place I picked up. Long story short Budget refunded my money but this very rude unprofessional location was clearly running a scam. Beware

The place looks ancient. Like traveling in a time machine to the 70s, likely the last time they updated anything for this location. Unorganized, haphazard stuff everywhere. The bathroom is outback, if you can make your way through labyrinth. This seems to be an old rental equipment center and the budget truck business is some sort of side business only. Budget brand is in name only here, its not very professional. Pre-order a truck on the website. They didnt have that size, so we got a bigger size (supposedly at no extra charge, but they did charge extra) and got the insurance just to be safe (plus extra charges) and we had to put down a deposit (which we never got back) and we were told that they would not charge us mileage like other rental places do, they assured us they were laid back (not actually the case they charged for every mile). They close at 4pm. We didnt make it. Charged another fee.So to sum it up we were lied to, swindled and waaaay overcharged.Will NEVER go HERE again.Avoid this place and save your money.I hate u-haul as much as the next guy they totally suck, but at least u-haul is upfront about all of the fees.Dont go to this Budget Truck Location because trust me its NOT going to fit your budget.

Complete SCAMMERS. My 78 year old mother booked a 26 truck one way. The morning she is supposed to pick it up they call and say they dont have the truck, go pick one up an hour away. So she calls back, they say she can have a 16 foot. So shes at a loss, decides to take the 16 foot. She gets there and they tell her when they moved her reservation they lost her discount. So what was original $140.00 for a 26 foot is now $225 for a 16 foot, because of their error! Did I mention shes SEVENTY EIGHT YEARS old?! They saw her coming! Ive rented from Budget for years but this particular place is HORRIBLE. Id rather go to Uhaul and thats saying a lot! Stay Away!

Buyer beware!! Whatever you do do not book with budget. We booked weeks in advance and was told the morning of our move no truck was available! And all they did to remedy the situation was give us a customer service number and not help to find a replacement. We had to scramble and book a truck with another company do yourself a favor and book with uhaul what a nightmare this company is!!

This place is a scam... Agreed to a 3d rental @ $186. Used one extra day and all of a sudden price jumped to $535. For the extra day! Worst rental ever... DO NOT USE!

ABSOLUTELY the WORST truck rental in the business. They SAY its $29.99 per day. WHAT THEY HIDE is a TON of fees. Instead of $29 per day you add $.99 per mile, insurance. But here is where the WORST part comes in. Instead of being about $130 (day rental, insurance and miles). THEY ADDED another $50 worth of fees, Usage fee, energy fee, and the best one DROP OFF FEE to use the drop box. UNBELIEVEABLE. GO TO UHAUL and save a TON of money (Less $ per mile charge) (NO INSURANCE)((NO DROP OFF FEE)) AND IM STILL waiting for the EXTRA they charged OVER AND ABOVE the COSTS to be returned to my credit card.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY or TIME with this company; ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION. Nice enough older gentleman who runs it but thats not worth the extra headaches or FEES. This place is very underhanded and very greedy about their fees. ASK BEFORE YOU SIGN - because they WONT and DIDNT tell me about all their HIDDEN FESS. If there was a 0 i would give it, my wife went to pick up a truck for our moving day and the employee was rude and treated her like she was incompetent and couldnt drive a truck, we canceled our reservation and will go elsewhere, horrible place and we will never rent at budget again!

There is an after hours Budget Rental drop box by the front door of this place. The 800 Customer Service Number will say there is not a drop box, and if you drop off a day late (because they are closed on Sunday) you will be charged for an extra day.

I wish I could put 0 STARS had reservation and they sent me away saying they don’t have a truck and it’s not their problem at 7 am when there is 6 trucks in the parking lot.
