One of the few places in the world were Ive experienced and witnessed mutual respect shown for all people; men, women, and children. Ive been training here almost everyday for a month now and its become one my favorite places to be outside of home. You will learn and you will work hard but you will also have fun and potentially make life long friends/family.

FRBJJ is the best BJJ in Central Florida. The owner and instructors clearly make having a fun in an open, honest, friendly and accepting atmosphere their priority. Youll instantly have a new group of friends when you join. The school is well maintained, nicely designed and always spotlessly clean. Ive been several times. Most recently my 15 year old nephew trained with instructor Uriel Ortiz. Uriel truly has a gift for teaching BJJ, especially young or less experienced people. Check out any of the FRBJJ locations, especially the Altamonte academy. You absolutely will be glad you did.

Going into a gym for the first time with no martial arts experience can be intimidating. Here at FR they treat you like family right away! Instructors are absolutely fantastic and full of energy and passion. And all the higher belts in the class have been so nice and helpful, no big egos here. Highly recommend!

I have been attending Fabin Rosas school in Orlando for a little over a year and a half. When Fabin opened a school in Altamonte I decided to give go and check it out because its closer to my apartment. JD Lopez is the best. Hes knowledgeable, personable, and patient. JD does an awesome job running this gym. There are no egos. He expects the kids to do their best and they really enjoy being there. All of the Coaches are involved in teaching/supervising the kids as they grapple. My son has improved drastically since being with JD. I definitely recommend this gym

JD has been an incredible coach and role model for my four year old. Hes been exceptional in teaching my son things we really didnt think he was ready for. This place is awesome. Instructors are Professional, knowledgeable and really help you master your technique. The area where you roll has a great view due to all the windows. Mats are sanitized after every session and everything is kept very clean.

Stopped by for open gym while visiting Orlando. Loved the environment and the welcoming vibe I got as soon as I walked in the door. The gym was very clean and on top of sanitizing the mats. Nobody there had an ego that would steer you away. If I moved back to Orlando, this is the gym I would join. Highly recommended.

I had been trying to get my 13 year old son interested in martial arts for quite some time but he was reluctant. After taking him to Fabin Rosas Altamonte Springs location, however, he loved it and decided to sign up on his own. The instructor, JD, is great. He is very passionate about teaching and does it in a way that is easy for students to understand and assimilate. He is also very friendly and welcoming making all students and parents feel right at home. We highly recommend both the academy and the instruction.

Great experience with private lesson. JD is patient and very clear in his instruction. Im an older guy (48) with zero BJJ experience. JD structured the lesson at a pace I could keep up with. It was fun. Heck of a workout, too.

Private Sessions: Amazing environment. Focused on teaching, learning and helping one another. I highly suggest investing in some 1 on 1 private sessions with JD. He will review in detail many nuances that will improve your knowledge base. Great place, great people!

I had a great time in my private lesson. JD tailored the class to my level (beginner) and made sure I knew the proper mechanics of the techniques before I demonstrated them. One lesson and I’m hooked! Try it, you will be too!!

From day one my daughter felt welcomed. She went in taking shoes and socks off ready to explore and learn. So I came in for the trial week not really knowing to expect, since it was my first time dabbling in martial arts. I’m fortunate to say I’ve had nothing but a good experience while being there. Good people, clean environment an more importantly an awesome instructor JD. All of that has made a signing up to be one of the easiest decisions I’ve made.

Had my first official BJJ class tonight. Was completely impressed with the students and JD, our professor. No egos. Positive learning environment. I signed up right after a free introductory class without any hesitation.If youre wanting to get in shape, this is a great full body workout while learning a practical martial art.

Very down to earth and inviting gym. Solid BJJ overall. If you go to open mat the head coach will role with you, which is not normally the case at other gyms.

Only have been here a short time. Yet, in this short time I’ve grown to really enjoy the people there and the instructor who is very knowledgeable and firm/kind when necessary. Overall one of the best martial arts training facilities/dojo’s I’ve ever been to.

Being someone who knew absolutely nothing about the sport of BJJ, I found the process of getting started with JD to be stress-free, comfortable, and enjoyable. At first I was nervous to give Jiu Jitsu a try but this gym is very welcoming especially for beginners. The instructor JD is patient and accommodating to all of his students and makes it easy to learn. He is knowledgeable and passionate about his teaching. My oldest son (5 years old) started at the same time I did and really enjoys the kids classes too. JD also has private lessons available which have been really helpful to me as a beginner as there is so much to learn to start out that it can be overwhelming! I highly recommend this gym and just wish I had started sooner!

Ive just started training here and they are very helpful and welcoming to newcomers. It can be intimidating to start BJJ, but after 1 class all of that went away due to how helpful everyone was and how much fun it is. If you are thinking about trying it out but are a little afraid, DO IT! You wont regret it, and after your first class youll be super excited to come back!

This is a great school. I’ve been training for 13 years and am a black belt from NJ. JD taught a great class and the students were great to roll with. Extremely welcoming and clean. I’m traveling to the area frequently now and will be making this part of my normal travel routine.

I couldn’t of been more happier that I chose this Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school for my daughter, the teachers are amazing with all the children. They show Discipline and the teaching of self defense which is great for our children now in days. I was part of this gym for 6 months and had an excellent experience. I started here with no former experience with BJJ and was blown away by the community and instructors at this gym. J.D is a great instructor who has built a great atmosphere. I am moving for work and am going to miss this gym.

While on vacation away from the seriousness and the snow in D.C., I paid a visit to the beautiful Fabin Rosa, Alta Springs Academy. Ive visited a few academies while on vacation in my 3 years of training and this one is by far my favorite. Never in my travels to other academies have I encountered an instructor that greeted me so openly. The mat is filled with warm light from the sun, the people were respectful and best of all, the instruction was pleasingly technical.As a blue belt, I like to consider myself a novice at best with a passion for everything that Jiu-Jitsu has to offer. I went to Orlando looking to enjoy the sun and meet Mickey Mouse, but when I left… all I could think about was training one more time at Fabin Rosa, Alta Springs. Whether youre in town for vacation or looking for a great place to train and meet new people, I implore you to stop by and simply give this place a try. Ill be back!!!

I’ve just started here and already feel like part of the family. JD and the other instructors are incredibly welcoming. The classes are fun and not intimidating once you step through the door.

Of course the instructor is great but the best part about training/learning here is the culture created by everyone. No egos and everyone is genuinely excited to help you in anyway they can. I can say, I suck at Jiu Jitsu RIGHT NOW but no one make me feel that way. It is really a collective group of people with the common goal to get better every day. AKA a good damn team.

This is the best Jiu-Jitsu gym I have been to. JD is so patient and able to break down the moves in simplest form for my 4 and 9 year old to understand and implement. He runs a great class with fun, structure, and discipline!

There is an epic beard, some higher belts running around, and overall its a great place to train. I came as a blue belt from another school and just jumped right in to the program and they welcomed warmly... with lots of sweat, more sweat, and grappling.

My wife and I brought up the idea that we would like to get our kids involved in martial arts. After reviewing the options we came to the conclusion that jiu jitsu would be the best discipline for our kids. Right away my 5 y/o son was excited and all in on the idea. My 10 y/o daughter was reluctant and a little intimidated at the idea. We went to our first class and we left impressed. JD (lead instructor) was awesome, great with the kids. My son liked it so much we went ahead and signed him up, my daughter signed up the next day, she just needed to see what it was all about. The youth class had a good girl/boy ratio of all ages. Cant wait to see the progression of these kids during our time here. I would totally recommend this place even if your kids are a little shy, just get them here and they will have a blast.

Weve only done a couple of lessons but my 2 teenage girls love it. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and I appreciate that there is ample room for parents to sit and watch. The girls have never done Jiu jitsu and yet they havent felt awkward or left out. Its a rare find! Two thumbs up!!!👍👍

Safe training experience with a GREAT instructor. JD is the man and had all of us sweating in a matter of ten minutes! We did no gi this time, but next time will bring our gis so we can get some more technique in. Would highly recommend a class with him and some friends. Lots of fun and great technique!

I’ve always been interesting in learning Brazilian jujitsu. One day I made up my mind and attended Fabin Rosa Brazilian jujitsu school. It didn’t have that MMA feel and intimidation to it. JD made me feel welcomed and answered all my questions before starting. I didn’t own a gi and they provided one for me to try out for a week. Within a few days I signed up right away.JD is a very detailed instructor with patience and allows you to grow at your own pace. If you’ve ever thought about learning Brazilian jujitsu this is the school that you should do it at. No egos, no bullies, just good old fashion hard work.

It is never too late to start training Jiu Jitsu with the best, I started training last year at 44 years old straight off the couch. At 45 I am now in the best shape of my life and continue to push myself. JD Lopez, the head instructor is not only the best instructor but also a great motivator and all around positive person. Tonight was my first time doing jiu jitsu. Ive also never done any martial arts before. JD is an amazing instructor and explained everything step by step which made it easy for me to follow along. Outside of how welcoming JD was, everyone in the class was just as welcoming. Each student that I practiced or grappled with would help explain everything to me. I can already tell that I have found a second family. I look forward to tomorrow night for the next class.

JD and his staff are great with the kids. Class runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 5:30 to 6:30. My 9 year son has fun while learning great defense skills and getting exercise at the same time. I would recommend his Altamonte location to anyone interested in having their child learn jiu jitsu.
