We have sent several boxes do Dominican Republic and when delivered items missing. The owner always gives you the runaround. Never using them again. They deny that things were taken. IF YOU SEND WITH THEM MAKE SURE THAT THE PERSON RECEIVING TO OPEN THE BOX IN FRONT OF WHO DELIVERS TO CONFIRM THEY RECEIVE WHAT YOU HAVE SENT AND NOTHING IS STOLEN. They also adjust the scale in Dominican Republic so you won’t notice things are missing and that the weight is the same listed on the box.

Absolutely amazing company have been using Martinez Cargo since 2009 and have never been disappointed they offer great service to the Dominican Republic at a very affordable price, will continue to use them for years to come. if you need to ship anything to any Latin American country you have to check with them first.

I sent seven boxes, once they arrived which it took longer than expected, several things were taken from each box. When I reported to Mr. Martinez the occurrence, he stated he would do an investigation, which I am currently waiting for a response. I have received a runaround from the gentleman.If you want to ship and make sure you or your family receives their box. DO NOT SEND WITH THIS COMPANY!CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!

Shipment to Dominican Republican arrived in time.

On April 9,2021 I had the opportunity to ship two boxes containing food from Orlando, FL to Santo Domingo, DR. The first box arrived on time in perfect condition, but the second arrived 2 weeks later than expected and in very poor condition. The box was completely destroyed and all the food eaten by mice (something very unpleasant especially when it comes to food) all the food had to be thrown away due to the diseases that this animal transmits. They proceeded and the company was reported immediately between transfers and he communicated with Mr. Martínez explaining again what happened because apparently the operators do not handle this type of case. The man gives me the phone number of the person in charge in Santo Domingo, Mrs. María Luisa, and tells me that she is going to help me with the report and that I sent her photos and they contacted me. The lady informs me that she does not take care of it and that the man was traveling and told her that I had spoken with him and he was the one who sent me to make the report with her. I follow all the instructions a quote is sent to both including the secretary of the man. So far, having knowledge of what happened, no one has called me or excused themselves for what happened, much less respond for the damages. I am disappointed because I understood that it was an excellent company but they are very little responsible when it comes to following up with their clients for damages. Unfortunately I do not recommend this company after what happened and it is very sad that even following their protocols no one takes the initiative to answer or call us.

The personnel are very friendly, conscientious and honest, they weigh the boxes when they are delivered and also in the Dominican Republic when they arrive at their destination so that one can confirm that nothing was removed. What a disenchantment! I WILL NEVER USE MARTINEZ CARGO.I sent a box to RD in May and it not only took almost 3 weeks to deliver it in SD but a good part of what was inside was lost; That is to say someone stole it.When I called them to report the incident and find out the company policy in my specific case, they informed me that the insurance only pays for total loss of the box ..... No one ever tried to contact me despite having my telephones in the USA and RD, to offer me some type of compensation or some form of compensation. Irresponsible is the least I can catalog to that company.
