Super nice and polite, and came highly recommended. They inspected our brakes for free, and did not try to swindle us. Our car was too damaged to be worth the cost of repairs, and they were up front about that when other shops would have just tried to bleed us dry. Definitely going back.

I have been going to this shop for over 10 years. Even though it’s a chain it has the feel of an independent shop in how they treat you. They are able to perform most any repair you need. They will work with you even if you are supplying your own parts from another source. They are professional, friendly, and will advise if you need anything else but have never tried to upsell.

This place is great. I was still having problems with my truck after taking it to another shop. I dropped it off and with in 2 hours they had called me back. I have a Ford Fusion, and I had to get my transmission fluid changed. A couple places in the area told me that I had to go to a Ford Dealership to do it because it was a different transmission that could only be serviced by the manufacturer. I didnt really think that made sense, so I called AAMCO and spoke to Mike. He assured me that that wasnt true and that they could do whatever I needed. I went in for my scheduled appointment and dealt with Nate. Both Mike and Nate were very friendly and professional, and got my car taken care of in less that 45 minutes. Nate even took the time to explain everything. These guys are top notch, and very deserving of a 5 star review.

Took my vehicle to aamco because I had an exhaust leak that was keeping me from passing DEQ. A lot of shops quoted me on a new exhaust manifold, and I just couldnt afford it. So when I finally decided to try one more shop. I am pretty glad it was my local aamco here in Aloha. Joseph said the complimentary inspection would take about an hour and a half, before he could get back to me with an estimate. After only an hour, he called me to let me know that they had spotted the leak, and offered to repair it for only the cost of labor.That was about a month ago and I just passed DEQ today, I couldnt be happier! I just want to say thank you.

I was helped by Joseph and the mechanic Nate, both who were very friendly and knowledgable. I brought my car in for a free inspection and they were able to isolate an issue that had likely been ongoing and never been caught by another mechanic. They referred my to a full body shop to get a quote as it had to do with a fram alighnment under my bumper pushing oarta too close together.I had sime questions as well and they gave me good tips and spent time talking to me about specific nuances. Also I recieved help during ongoing Covid-pandemic, they wore masks and were safety minded with social distancing. Its all around, awesome straightforward, and honest mechanic shop, and Im lucky to have discovered them right near me.

The service has always been top notch at AAMCO, I am totally satisfied with the work we received there on our 2000 Isuzu.However, on Nov 5 I took the car in to have the annual check done and when I got the car back, whoever drove my car was a smoker and the car smelled like an old ash tray. I was very disappointed with this, they take care to cover the seat and floor so as not get it dirty and then they smell so bad that they leave a VERY strong odor in my car just destroyed the whole visit.The temperature outside was in the mid-thirties and I had to drive all the way home with the windows down just to air out the car.One person can certainly ruin the overall impression that a customer receives with this kind of action.

What a great shop! To start, I received a quote from Daytona Transmission down the street for much cheaper than AAMCO quoted me, however when I shared the cheaper quote with AAMCO they decided to honor it as well as offering a 10 year warranty. They rebuilt the transmission in our Forester and solved the issues we were having. A couple months later, we noticed a strange noise coming from the transmission. We took it back to AAMCO and they provided around $2,000 worth of service under the warranty. They have excellent customer service, and communicate what they are doing with your vehicle at every step.

These guys are great and trustworthy! I came in thinking I might need a new transmission or something major, but ended up only needing a clip for the shift linkage. They only charged me $30! They also do oil changes, tune ups and other repairs. Jim has great customer service skills. Id recommend them to anyone!

Monday morning, go to start my car, nothing but little clicks. Battery is dead! Great! So after calling a few places and getting the same basic corporate response of We dont do that, I called Aamco and got Mike. Mike was amazing! He got a technician out to me, we got my car to the shop and he got me in right away. Mike kept me updated on the progress of my car, we went over pricing, and had a great general conversation! Even listening to him take phone calls, he was very patient, professional, and really tried to get to the root of the issues. The whole team at the Aloha Aamco was outstanding, a very well oiled machine, dedicated to service!!

I was stranded here when my car broke downThey charged 1.7 hours labor for a 1.2 hour job and $350 for a $220 part (per other auto shops)They agreed to give me 10% off when i argued about the price gouging over the phone3 stars because they were very fast, friendly, and Profesional.If money isnt an issue for you this is probably a good shop.

Day 3, no diagnosis. I currently moved to the Beaverton area and I needed a mechanic (honest, trustworthy, and communicative), I based my decision on the reviews and great feedback. So far the communication is horrible, my truck has been with them for 3 full days and I have called them Tuesday & Wednesday to get an update because they have not called me. All I know is my transmission is out and not to bother the mechanics otherwise it will take them longer to get a diagnosis.

I have taken my car to Aloha AAMCO twice since the first of the year. Before January of this year all I knew about AAMCO was the commercial double A, MCO. Now I know that the Aloha AAMCO team is friendly, quick, reliable, and trustworthy. I wouldnt go any were else now.I have an old (1999) Cadillac Seville. For the most part it has been fairly hassle free since I got it three years ago. This year was the exception. I had a great experience with the Aloha AAMCO in January when I had to take my car in. They were friendly and quick to let me know what was going on with my car. They even helped me get financing to cover the unexpected expense.Just recently my car broke down on the way to home from work. When roadside assistance asked where I wanted to have my car towed to, I told them to Aloha AAMCO. Even though I didnt know what was wrong with my car, I knew I could trust them to get it fixed quickly and at a reasonable price. Of course I was right, thank you guys!

Started off good, and they come across as nice. But ready the reviews, it looks like Jeff is gone and new ownership is in place over the last few years. My quote started off low and would go up each day I called in to check on the repairs. Yes, each day, as in they had it almost two full weeks.Then I go in for the 10 day re-check and they find some leak, which they will fix under warranty. But, they dont have the part and I need to leave it with them, and maybe they can get it done that day. Sure, Ive heard that before. But the real kicker, they also say there is bad wheel bearing. Interesting, that wasnt there a few weeks ago when I originally dropped it off, but there was an interesting squeak when turning my wheel after I first picked it. Im no car expert, but given they did a brake job, my hypothesis would be the bearing problem was created by them. Take your money, time, and hassles elsewhere.

Great service! Just an oil change this time, but they also noticed some brake lights that were out. They checked with me to make sure I had an extra few minutes before they changed them because they knew I was in a hurry. Its nice to know that they respect my time! They were super quick and very polite. Ill never go anywhere else for any of my cars needs!

Today I took in my 07 Toyota FJ to have the clutch checked. I know nothing about cars and wouldve done whatever was suggested. Following the inspection, after speaking with the mechanic, Michael informed me I was just feeling some wear but the clutch was fine. He stated it may go for many more yrs. No inspection fee, honest evaluation and tons of integrity. He even pulled out a new clutch assembly from the shelf and taught me how a clutch works, wears and breaks down. I will go back to this shop in the future. While no money was exchanged, they just earned a customer! I suggest to anyone, especially if you dont know cars,single Moms, etc - go see Michael at Aloha AAMCO! They do everything, not just transmissions.

Astounding integrity! I took my 2006 Hyundai Tuscon in for what I thought was an automatic transmission slip in first gear. I took it in for the free inspection to get an idea of what was wrong and got a call saying that it was a vacuum intake issue. They reconnected the loose airline and didnt charge me a dime! They knew I was from out of town and were still honest enough to help me for no profit. I highly recommend you check with them before anyone else.

Called to set up an appointment to drop off my vehicle to have some transmission issues assessed. The person I talked to on the phone was very rude, kept cutting me off mid-sentence, had trouble summarizing my transmission issue, put me on hold 4 times, and had a very snarky tone with me; and was obviously allowing himself to get distracted by something else. IMO, I am a very easy person to talk to and sure I made it pretty clear what I needed. I had to hang up on him. I will never do business here if they insist on treating their customers like this. Go somewhere else!

I typically use the Tigard AAMCO, but they were full up, and the Aloha location had some availability, so I had my 98 Saturn SL2 towed there (non-start condition). Thought it was Crank Position Sensor going again, but they did some diagnostics, and it turned out the Starter finally took a dump. So, they ordered a new part, and had it installed within a couple hours of my bringing the car in. They also noted that my coolant was leaking and quoted a new Water Pump, which was pretty reasonably priced [installed]. So, fingers, crossed, it should all be taken care of on Monday. New starter seems to be functioning admirably so far (granted, only had it a couple days, so far; but, as long as it starts up, dont slow crank or die, Im happy!). Anyway, they seem to have gotten me taken care of and back on the road with as little fuss or down-time as possible. Thankfully, fairly easy fix(es), and reasonably priced, all around...

Just wanted to say that these guys are great. The work they did on my transmission was excellent. Havent had any problems with it since and when I had another problem creep up a few weeks later, Kurt and the guys were right on top of the situation. Kurt and his team are really good at what they do, and are really easy to work with. They are trustworthy and straight shooting about what they find wrong with your vehicle. They even made sure that I was able to see the old parts for myself. I would definitely recommend this shop if you need work done on your rig. Great job Kurt.

It is a rare to find someone in the auto repair business that makes you feel as though you are shopping at Nordstrom. Paul at AAMCO is that person. Once again, Paul and his staff comes through. I was about to purchase a used car for my kids and had Paul look it over before we finalized the sale. The AAMCO staff were able to find issues with one vehicle which would have cost me sooner than later. We passed on that vehicle and instead found a car that passed their inspection. Throughout the purchasing process, Paul never seemed to be bothered by my silly questions. We then had our other car serviced by AAMCO, and Paul listed just the items I needed to take care of now and detailed the items that could wait thus saving me money. Paul has the demeanor, patience, a professionalism that makes me return to AAMCO.

Paul and the team has been nursing a 200,000 mile Jeep for me for a couple of years. Recently they went above and beyond with troubleshooting an idling issue for over a day. All the testing and time spent was very appreciated because #1 they fully checked everything as part of their 50 point inspection service and #2 they did find the problem that was caused by me purchasing a coil rail that had a missing spring in the #3 boot. Idling issue resolved.I would highly recommend them. Thank you Paul and Team.

We even had an issue with DEQ telling us our truck was missing the catalytic converter - I brought it here, the guys put it on the lift, showed me where the cats were and even called Ford and got a spec diagram to take with me back to DEQ, and they didnt charge me a thing for that. Aamco got me in and out in a few hours after coming in for a brake check, and realizing that there was damage to the rear calipers and rotors on my vehicle. Very happy with the value and speed of service they provided.Only reason its a 4/5 instead of 5/5, is because the charge was slightly higher than the agreed upon price, due to a un-retractable $11 supply fee that the computer places on the total. Which seemed a little dishonest to me, but at the end of the day, was only +$11..

The manage, Kurt Enge, came and gave me a jump, and followed me back to the shop as I needed to have my battery connectors replaced. Most places would not go to this level of customer service. Also a few months back they rebuilt my transmisssion, and did so in a timely manner, at less than their quoted price. I would highly recommend them. Its nice to see a place that truly believes in old fashioned customer care instead of just the almighty dollar.A++

I made an appt for my sons car for a transmission fluid change and had my son show up with a coupon that wasnt theirs(I discovered later), they honered that after speaking with Michael on the phone. I realized I had a coupon from another transmission shop and showed up to pay the difference as it was my mistake and being honest is how I live my life and teaching my son honesty as well. They wouldnt take my money! I really appreciate their customer service even when I was wrong. The manager Paul who also runs the front desk is Awesome. He makes car repairs feel less way less painful with his positive attitue and great sense of humor.I first took my 2005 Kia Sedona in early November for their free check because I thought it was reving to high. They checked it and it was fine but the computer brought up an error on a sensor I needed replaced. He assured me it could wait a little longer so I did.Today Im getting it fixed. Paul was even able to put me on a payment plan even though my credit is shot. Paul and his team are Awesome and I will never take my van somewhere else!

Summary: Paul and his team at AAMCO Aloha provided the best vehicle repair service I have ever received.Like most people, I have a long and painful history of vehicle repairs performed by a rotating roster of overpriced, underachieving mechanic shops. Across three different cars, I have sought service at no less than 12 shops over the years. My experience has never been above 3 stars and has more commonly been 0 stars and 2 middle fingers.Enter Paul and his team at AAMCO. My wife noticed our 2001 Acura MDX was bucking and stalling when shifting. She took it in to the Beaverton Acura dealership, and they charged us $200 to tell us that our transmission was toast and it would be $8,000 to fix. FYI - thats exactly how much I bought the car for. So I called around, got prices at 5 different transmission shops, and AAMCO quoted me the same range as the others, except Paul spent 10 minutes explaining the details of their transmission repair process, their warranty coverage, and how they can help us with a rental car while ours was in their shop.I scheduled an appointment for a few days out, but later that day my wife was running errands and the transmission gave out entirely. So I called Paul back, asked if we could bring it in today, and he said of course. While a tow truck took the car and my wife to the shop, I had to commute by bus from my office downtown, but Paul kept the shop open 30 mins past close just so he could be there to check me in.The repair was extensive - many of the major components were in good condition but all the smaller pieces needed replacing, so the final cost came in in the upper half of what he quoted me. But since he communicated with me throughout the repair and explained the details of the work being performed, he earned my cautious trust, They finished the job, along with fixing a couple other things I asked for (replacing engine mounts and fixing a broken rear view mirror), on time.Beyond the exceptional customer service, AAMCO offered us a 10-year warranty on their work. To me, that is the icing on the cake - as long as I bring the car in once a year for an annual diagnosis, they will guarantee the repair. That turned this experience from a huge unexpected expense to a reliable investment in the longevity of our vehicle.We had this unfamiliar feeling of satisfaction upon leaving the shop with our fixed MDX; I felt like for once, I actually got my moneys worth. Our car has been running great ever since, and Paul and his team are definitely at the top of our list of recommendations for mechanic shops. Thank you so much guys!!!

HORRIBLE Customer Service. DO NOT RECOMMEND. SCAM ArtistsDont go there unless you want to be hustled out of your money, or get into a FIGHT for catching their scams.MY EXPERIENCE:I took my brothers car into the Aloha/Beaverton AAMCO branch, and was rudely and disrespectfully treated. The customer service representative (Daniel E. Pilcher) wanted us to pay for some ridiculous additional diagnosing, after we had taken in the vehicle to be fully diagnosed in the first place. When my brother and I went to pickup the car, my brother made it clear to the customer service representative (Daniel E. Pilcher) that he was upset because he suggested that we should incur additional diagnostics fees. Anyways, as we were sitting in our vehicles getting ready to leave, the customer service representative proceeded to follow us to our vehicles (in the parking lot) to further agitated the situation (while leaving other customers waiting and unattended). He then proceeded to call us “retards,” redneck hillbillies, and threatened to punch my brother. He even made a suggestive punching motion towards my brother (acted like he was going to punch him). He then proceeded to make remarks about our vehicles, intelligence, mother, and started shouting homophobic slurs. He further challenged us to fight him, claiming that he could take both of us in a fight. Fortunately, we had the good sense to just leave, but as we left he proceeded to tell us that our whole family was not welcomed back to that establishment. With customer service like that, who would want to go back, especially with Daniel E. Pilcher (Customer Service Manager) still working there. If thats their head customer service representative, Id hate to see their other customer service representatives.DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!

I took my car to Aamco in Aloha, and am absolutly happy with the whole experience. I have used Aamco in the past, but the people at this shop really went over and bryond for me. I have never been treated this well at any repair shop I have ever been to. These people are honest, explain things very well, and are absolutly fair priced.

I am very glad that I didnt go farther than the free check engine light. Front desk dude was very unprofessional, and hearing the f word with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth was a sure sign that they really didnt care.
