Ive been a client of Mitzies at Thriveworks for a few months now and its incredibly grounding. She really tailors her approach to the clients needs, and goes out of her way to explain the process as we go. Being able to find the good fit with therapy and a therapist that both feel comfortable and safe is really rewarding, and I feel I really grow as we progress.

Hello everyone!I’ve faced so many challenges in life and always made it through, but this year it has been one of the toughest. I’ve always been the strongest daughter/mom/friend, always ready to help others even though I’ve cried myself to sleep at times. I’m still that kind of person, but body and mind can only take so much. I decided to get some help. Did some Counseling for a few months, still felt like nothing was really helping much.I am not going to lie, I felt awful and hopeless. At the same time, I was never the kind of person that gives up easily and even though I was going through so much, I still found that strength to keep going and never give up. One night, I decided to do my own searches. I started looking for EMDR therapy. After so many searches, Thriveworks was one that kept popping up. I said to myself, I have nothing to lose. Picking a therapist to share so much about you can be difficult, but I have to say every time I saw Mitzie Baezs profile, there was something telling me yep go with her. I didn’t reach out to her because it said she was not taking new clients. I didn’t bother. Again, the next day, same search, Mitzies name popped up. I said to myself, this is a sign. So late that night I decided to email her. I felt bad for doing that, but I knew I had to do something, I was desperate. Mitzie replied within minutes, I have a spot for you,Call tomorrow and set up! Shes been working with me for a few months now, it’s been very tough. At the same time, without her, I would’ve never made it this far.I see progress every day and I wish I would’ve found her sooner. She’s amazing and I’m grateful for all she’s done for me so far. I know I have a lot to go but I’m definitely not where I used to be. My advice to anyone, never give up. Call Thriveworks today if you need help! God is big.Thank you Mitzie !!

This is a complicated review to write because, as an entity, I dont like Thriveworks much at all. Ive worked with two therapists now through the company, though, and I understand that it makes the admin/payment side of things easier for them.If I was just reviewing Thriveworks, Id give it 3 stars, but this 5 star review is for Mitzie Baez, who is incredible. To me, a great therapist knows their focus and what sort of clients they can help best. Mitzie doesnt put herself out there as a generalist (and I dont trust therapists who do); her focus is trauma, and she uses EFT, IFT, and EMDR to get the work done. Because of that, I sought her out, and its been a great fit. I trust her implicitly. Shes a deep well of empathy, and she also knows when to push you to work harder. Id give her 10 stars if I could.

I really love working with our couples therapist, Mitzie Baez. She is so knowledgable, and extremely relatable. She feels like an old friend. Ive had a few therapists over the years and her Emotion Focused Therapy approach works really well for my partner and I. If youre looking for a therapist where the sessions feel formal, stiff and pedantic, you dont deserve Mitzie. But if you and your partner want an educated homegirl who is passionate about the work and how real people operate, then, DING DING DING. You found her.As an aside, Ill say: I have mostly really enjoyed the Thriveworks platform for finding therapists. I love that appointments are just there and easy to sign up for anytime. The only thing that is sometimes a glitch is if you switch therapists or if someone else in your household signs up for a therapist, they may charge you the $100 annual fee per household again, not realizing your household/you have already paid for the year, so keep a look out for that. If you chat them on the website though, theyll handle it right away.

I’ve known Sarah Babcock for many years now, and highly recommend her as a therapist. Sarah has helped me cope with my depression and anxiety over the years, always giving me new tips and tricks in an empathetic and caring tone. I’ve struggled with opening up to new people about my mental health, but Sarah has always provided a comfortable and safe environment for me to speak my truth.
