Dryer is so far so good. Been here a couple times and picked up reliable used washer and dryers, gas stoves in the pass. And walked in this time got what I needed. They are very welcoming and attend to your needs quickly and always have people on hand to load up your purchase. Great prices as well I always recommend them to friends and family

Worst place to buy appliances, everyone be aware of their scam. They will offer you warranty the next day I installed my dishwasher it didn’t work, I called them they told me to contact the warranty company and ask them to fix it which they asked for $100 deductible. They will deliberately sell you a broken appliance then throw you under the bus, it was only a day old and I tried to replace it they told me no and wouldn’t offer me a refund so I had to spend an extra $100 to get it fixed. It’s better to buy from a trusted vendor like Home Depot, Lows or Best Buy, will cost you exactly the same but with much better quality and service

They are husband and wife team i believe. Very good service! I live an hour away and although shipping was a bit pricey it was a steal for what Im getting. Whirlpool washer and dryer with 1 year warranty. Theyve got layaway but what was even better is that theyve got a deal with Acima and it was a very simple process! The delivery fee, set up fee, and removal of my old appliances was a great deal and its all included through Amica! If you set up for the 90 day same as cash its great. But, the only draw back would be that if you miss one payment it rolls over to the 12 mon financing fee which is a bit pricey. Had i to do over I wouldve just made the extra payments just in case instead of signing up for the automatic withdrawal for the 90 days and kept it the 12 month just because anything could happen. You do need a checking account. Small deposit and then 2/3 days and delivered. Also, the great part is if you get say approval for say 1,800 (more or less) and you only use a portion of... You can transfer the remaining to another company that uses this company as well!! So not so bad ay. They were very informative and very considerate and kind. It was well worth the drive and theyve loads to choose from! Mines are scratch and dent but cant even see the scratch. Im very happy!

This is the worst. We bought a second hand used fridge for 800 dollars only for this man to tell us that nothing was wrong with our fridge . This fridge we have had for less than 2 weeks has broken down twice and won’t keep our food cold. We spent 700 dollars cash on food and for nothing because half our the stuff went bad . We contacted people to fix it and he came in for 5 minutes argued on the phone with my mom and said nothing was wrong with it when clearly all of our meats were defrosted in the freezer and it was blowing out hot air. Please don’t ever come to this place. Last but not least he had ice made in the ice dispenser claiming it works but it does not. It was for show.

Today I called to get a price check on a washer, the man who answered the phone did not want to give me any prices or tell me what they have. When I asked about what washers they do have, his response lady your going to have to come in, not giving prices. All he had to say was we have too many to give prices over the phone, but maybe if you give me an exact item number I can see if we have it. Like that would have been so much better. Unfortunately I will not be going there due to the lack of customer service. Customer service is everything.

If I could give zero stars I would. The owners of the store, husband and wife, are both very rude and very unprofessional. They obviously don’t want any good business. My mother and I went in today to buy a stove, the lady was insistent on spraying our hands with some unknown solution. We turned it down as we had our own hand sanitizer because I’m pregnant and I don’t want my hands sprayed with anything that I can’t read the label. Now because we didn’t use her spray, she was rude and hesitant to assist us. Then we went in later today to buy the stove we inquired about earlier from the husband whom was even more rude. When my mother walked in, he tried to stop her from coming into the store because she didn’t use the spray solution. Then when she showed him she has her own sanitizer he rudely asked her “WHAT DO YOU WANT?” While negotiating the terms of buying the appliance, he was even more rude and asking silly questions unrelated to the sale and reluctant to sell the appliance. How is that good business? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IN THIS STORE. There are way more professional appliance stores with better prices and much better customer service. For example ALVARADO APPLIANCES ON LEHIGH STREET IN CATASAUQUA.

BUYER BEWARE!!!- I bought a brand new washing machine in January of 2020 and by April 2020 I have had the repair man to my house on multiple occasions due to a BOARD going bad.- I bought the matching dryer to go with the set and the BOARD also went bad on that unit.- I bought a BRAND NEW (scratch and dent)Refrigerator from them to put in a rental unit I own and have had the tenants complain multiple times their refrigerator is not working. I have had the repair man to their house on multiple occasions. They diagnosed a BAD BOARD on that as well.If you buy anything from them, expect the board to go bad in a matter of weeks.I called to see if they would offer a refund or an exchange, or at least provide me a copy of the receipt and they said there was absolutely nothing they could do for me. No apologies for selling me defective products, no attempt to offer free repair service. It is not like i bought it 3 years ago, I bought it 4 months ago.Horrible customer service on top of their horrible products. I would highly encourage you to find an alternative scratch and dent store to do business with and stay as far away from this place as possible.

Absolutely unprofessional! I walked in asking what was their cheapest stove. I didn’t like their cheapest stove so I decided to look into the more expensive ones. While doing that and discussing my options with my mother and boyfriend and explaining how we saw the same stove for $100 cheaper somewhere else, the man running the store walked up to us saying if we saw one cheaper we should buy it at the other store. He was very rude from the beginning and wasn’t welcoming at all. I was thinking about purchasing a stove even though he was up charging but turned around due to how disrespectful And unprofessional he was. I hope the best for him and his business.

I had a washing mashing that had stopped draining last week. I called Almonte and he was there the next day to repair. He charged a very fair price. I came by here to look at washers and it seemed like a nice place. They had a very large selection of both new and used appliances, and the sales person there seemed quite knowledgeable while not pushy at all.Definitely seems like a good place if you want a deal.

I stopped in today to take a look at some items I saw online. We will definitely be back this weekend to purchase a couple items we need for our new house. I bought a washer and dryer from them both front loader . The same day I used it noticed washer was leaking water from the bottom and the dryer wasn’t getting hot. I call them to tell them about the problem and he sent someone out to fix it the next day. Now everything is working perfectly fine. Thank you guys for your speedy and professional service. Im changing my review from 5 stars to 1 star and I really wish I would have read some of the other reviews but I trusted these people since I bought from them before, however my ice maker never worked and they purposely let the warranty run out even though I let them know within the warranty period. They completely ignored all my phone calls and texts. This is more than just disappointing and the fact that they did not honor their warranty is something that everyone needs to know and thats exactly what I intend to do is let everyone know I spent more than $100 installing a second line because thats what Almonte told me I needed however that was not necessary and I wasted my money- the ice maker is broke! And now I have to pay someone else to fix or install another one which made my scratch and dent which was a reasonable price now is expensive is just buying a brand new with a warranty that a reputable company would have honored.

Went in to save some money and Bought 4 pieces of appliances that was mark NEW scratch and dent. When I ask about the warrantee the owners wife told me 1 year!!After the purchase units installed, 1 failed after the first use the motor stop working. When I went in to resolve this, I was greeted by the rude owner as he was trying to talk his way out of it and told me I had to take it with GE direct. Why would I have to go GE when I just purchase all these NEW? units from Almonte. These are new units??? or bunch of broken units with parts swapped? BUYERS BEWARE of this!! You can find better used units for cheaper on FB marketplace!!! And most importantly they will not take care of any issues!!!

Gross and over priced. The owner truly took out a spray paint can and sprayed the scratches and dents i pointed out on the appliance he tried to sell me. Lol then he tried to show how tust worthy he was so he showed me a clients credit card he had sent to him in a text message to show how much his clients trusted him! Front and back of the credit card information. Very scary.

By all means!!! Stay away from this place!!!!!! Fridge was dirty when finally delivered. Was to be delivered on August 30th between 4-4:30 called me at 5:45 to say tomorrow they would deliver, mind you it’s the holiday weekend. Fought with the guy on the phone & was hung up on. Finally had to settle for next day delivery. They called me at 9:10 to say they would be here in a few minutes. 1hr later after I physically went down to the store to complain. Biggest part of this whole thing is they are located 4blocks away from me!!!!!!. The delivery guys were very nice though.

This place is a rip off. I purchased a washer and dryer set from them not even a month ago. The washer stopped working in 2 days. They sent someone out to fix it that didnt speak any English so I have no idea what he fixed. Now the dryer stopped working and I havent even had these units an entire month yet. The owner was very short with me and kept cutting me off. Very rude. He told me he needed to charge me $65 to send someone out. Thats a rip off I purchased them not even a month ago and he wont stand by his product. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! I would of give him a 0 but you had to pick something

Stay away. Fridge went 4 months after paying 240 for a haier. The whole thing was assemebled and reassembled many times. Of course i didnt see these things till after the fact.

I love Almontes. I manage several properties in Allentown and it seems like Im always in need of some kind of appliance. Appliances are quality, clean and affordable. Almonte and crew are great at deliveries and repairs. Everyone there is bi-lingual which is a great help to me when dealing with Spanish speaking tenants.

Went there to buy a refrigerator. We found one we liked. It had a tag on it that said it was ready, but the women said we would have to wait so they could test it (remember, it had a ready to go tag on it). We explained that we needed it right away. She said it would probably be ready later in the day. It wasnt. She said they had to replace the main board. Finally we went and picked it up. When we got it home, everything seemed ok. Than, after about 5 days, we noticed that the refrigerator stopped cooling. It turns out that the auto defrost for the freezer was not working. These people do not come out to your house for warranty repairs (we knew this), so rather than go through the hassel of reloading it on the truck to take it back, wait for them to get the parts, install the parts, then test the unit, we paid someone else (a real professional )to come to the house and fix it. Less hassle. Less wait.We need a dryer. I think well skip Almonte.

Was horrible...I brought a refri work nice one month the next one started to unfreeze...has 4 months of warranty but guess what? U have to pay for service call $45 the end of the day i have to exchanged for another one different shape and brand cus he doesnt has the same we want it... He offer me store credit!!! Who wants store credit we want the item..NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

Purchased a used washer for $200 in early August, 2015. Washer worked fine for a few months. In November, knob started to come loose. One day, when I pulled the knob to operate the washer, it popped off. I tried placing the knob back on and the timer unit broke free from the housing inside the washer.I decided to call Almonte because my washer was still under a warranty. On the phone, the owner spoke to me as if he didnt believe me. He was short with me and kept asking if I had the receipt, which I did. When I arrived at Almonte, with the washer, he told me that the warranty wouldnt cover any damage that I had caused to the machine (keep in mind, this before he has even seen the machine). I assured him that it had not been mistreated and stopped functioning during normal use. He came out to my car to look at the machine. When he saw the loose timer, he insisted that he had never seen such a problem. He had me and my friend pull the washer out and lift it up onto his dock, rather than going inside to get a dolly to pull it up the ramp.Once the washer was inside, he opened up the unit to expose the timer. He showed us a broken plastic tab that held the timer in place. He insisted that this tab could not have broken unless we used a large amount of force. I assured him that this was not the case. After we waited for fifteen minutes while he talked to his employees in the corner, he insisted he would have to call the timer company to check and get back to us Monday (it was Saturday). We left our information and awaited his call.Monday afternoon, he called. He told us that we had broken the knob and it was not covered by the timer companys warranty. Not only would he not fix the machine, but we needed to pick it up immediately because he would not hold it for us. I pointed out that I had not agreed to such a warranty. I had agreed to the warranty specified in our contract, which said absolutely nothing about these rules he was now trying to put in place. He argued with us, repeating his garbage story over and over. In the end, I was able to get him to hold the machine until the following Saturday.When we came to pick it up, his story about what was broken had changed. Now he was talking about the knob, instead of the broken tab on the timer. He brought the washer outside on a dolly and left it on his dock. He insisted he was sorry but wasnt even willing to roll it down the ramp to our car for us. He immediately went back inside and left us outside to carry the washer down and place it in our car.I have never experienced such poor customer service. Almonte Appliances sells poorly repaired garbage appliances and when it comes down to it, they will not honor the warranty that they guaranteed in their contract. I would absolutely not recommend anyone waste their time or money here.
