We needed a whole kitchen full of appliances but was nervous about picking out the best buy, and the best brand with the least problems without breaking the bank. We had been to the big box stores and came out feeling even more confused and stressed not knowing anything about the different brands and how well they last. Never felt comfortable or reassured on a personal level of confidence we were being sold on something just to make a sale. Kelly at Rodenboughs was a gamechanger. She knew the products very well and made the whole experience fun and delightful and stress-free! Never again will we ever think about going to a big box store. Kelly will be our first choice at Rodenboughs. Everyone there was so personable. Thank you Kelly! Youve made us so happy!!

Just wanted to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed doing business with you all. You have a customer for life now. Alex just left after making sure my new range was level, the correct time was set and he even set it to 350 degrees to start burning off the oil thats rubbed on the inside!! NEVER will I EVER purchase another appliance from the “Big Box” stores!Starting with Kelly, my more than a salesperson.... she is very knowledgeable on their products and beyond that sees your purchase/s all the way through the delivery/setup!The delivery team is phenomenal.... they were a few minutes EARLY to deliver and setup, stepped me through all functions of my 3 major appliances, & went beyond to answer a question I had as a new home buyer not even concerning their product!!Hats off to Rodenbaugh’s and their AMAZING employees! Thank you for keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront .... I am now a customer for life!!!

Customer Service is GREAT!! I walked in and told Matt all my problems and issues with several appliances going out at the same time. He told me what they had in stock how long if they had to order!! Just so knowledgeable and caring. Plus the prices are great!! I bought from them 13 years ago when we built our home. Honestly, I looked at the big stores closer to me. I came back to them and so happy I did!! Thanks Matt you are very much appreciated!

We recently purchased three major appliances from Rodenbaughs. Kelly was our salesperson and customer service contact. We received very fair, competitive pricing and all appliances were delivered in a timely manner. Due to COVID, all items were back ordered, but due to Kelly’s experience and persistence everything arrived and was installed much sooner than promised. After installation was completed, Ronald Rodenbaugh came to our house to check on the installation work and to make sure we were happy. We are completed satisfied with Rodenbaughs and thrilled with our new Kitchenaid appliances.

We have purchased 4 major kitchen appliances here over the last 9 years and have been pleased with every one of them. We don’t plan on shopping any other appliance store. (Wish I had bought our washer here as well but made the mistake of doing a Kenmore from Sears.)

I guess everyone knows this but me, but if you buy an electrical part from here, you can’t return it. I’m out $200 for a part that didn’t work. Don’t know if the part is defective or there was another issue with my dryer, but I guess I won’t know. Apparently there is a sign somewhere on the counter that says no refunds, but people miss signs all the time. Seems like it’s good practice to tell folks about a “no refund” policy on a pricey part like that. I won’t shop here again.

I really appreciate the customer service that we received from Rodenbaugh’s recently. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. We bought a new refrigerator from them. Within a month or two there was a problem with the freezer. They sent out 2 different technicians to try to fix the problem. When it couldn’t be repaired they contacted the manufacturer to give us a new one. The manufacturer delivered a new refrigerator at my house with 20 minutes notice. They were not going to install the new one or haul off the old one, nor would they give me the name and phone number of someone from that company that I could call to try and rectify the situation. I called Rodenbaugh’s upset with the situation and although they did not know the appliance was being delivered and it was late in the day the owner came to my house to install the new fridge and haul off the old one. I wasn’t expecting someone to come right then, I just wanted to talk to someone to set up an appointment with me to get the job done. I was very impressed with how quickly they helped me with my dilemma.Thanks again,Debbie Hyatt

My dishwasher decided to stop powering on the other day. I figured Id take a try at fixing it myself. When I googled dishwasher parts in Allen Texas, I was happy to find that Rodenbaughs was near by so I gave them a call. I spoke with John in the parts department and he was beyond helpful. He gave me some tips on how to troubleshoot the issue and he even had the part in stock at a fair price. The part was a little cheaper if Id purchased it online but I would have had to pay for shipping and wait for it to arrive so I was happy to pay a just a little extra for it. The service was much appreciated and the dishwasher is fixed. Many thanks!

This is just a fantastic company both with new appliances and repair. We’ve used Rodenbaughs for years. Yesterday,Sunday, I sent a message to contact me Monday to buy a new washer dryer. I heard back Sunday, the appliances were delivered Monday morning....just great service!!

Purchased an overpriced Whirlpool refrigerator in May (I believe), had to call not 2.5 months later to have a circuit board repaired that TOOK A WEEK TO GET!!!! This wouldnt be an issue but were told that this is pretty common among Whirlpool refrigerators SO WHY WOULDNT YOU KEEP THIS IN STOCK IN YOUR STORE!?!?!?!?!!? We were out of a refrigerator for almost a week!!!!! NOW, the ice machine has stopped making ice and once again Im waiting on a call back from someone to fix the problem!!!! Im not very happy about our experience with this local company and I had high hopes NOR am I one to write bad reviews. Im a huge local business supporter. We will be asking for reimbursement for this appliance and taking our money elsewhere! This is ridiculous to have to call the company to repair a product in less than 6 months of owning it! Not happy at all! I also called to request a call back from Manager...I did call at 5:30 on a Tues but was told that I would get a call back immediately the next day after 8 am. I have had to call them back at 9 am the next day and still have not gotten a call back from a manager. So now, I feel like my frustration and concerns are not being taken seriously.

Bought a range, vent, microwave and oven couple years ago.Had trouble with microwave year 1 and 2. Found out after a year that the microwave they recommended CANNOT BE SERVICED! This is a throw-away item costing $500. The downdraft vent on my island had trouble since day one - the vent that they sold me and recommended to me. Terrible reviews. This is my fault for trusting in Rodenbaughs recommendation. It wasnt installed correctly and they had to come out and repair the bad install year 1. Year 2, stopped working. They hooked me up with the warranty company (ServiceWare). This guy that clearly didnt like his job came, got a part and told me theyd be in contact. Over 6 weeks later, I reached out to find out that the part is still not in stock and Im still waiting. Imagine waiting for anything for over 6 weeks.On top of all that, I called to day at 3:55, to find out (after being on hold over 5 minutes) that the service department personnel has left for the day.After reading this, ANYONE would be crazy to shop Rodenbaughs for anything.__________________________________________________Update 8/21/19Ronald did take care of us. He did what it took to make us happy, and we feel like our complaint was heard by them, and heeded to. I feel they responded to me in ways that a larger store wouldnt have.

Im happy to recommend Rodenbaughs to anyone who values good customer service! They spend time to find the right product for you and that its installed correctly the first time. They had to do a bit of cutting for the new oven to fit plus needed to be sure the new gas cooktop would fit with a larger oven. The installation crew didnt mess around...they knew their stuff and were very precise. Great job!

They replaced a microwave and oven combination with a double oven in 2011. The installation tech told my husband not to preheat them at the same time. At the time i thought that was odd, there was nothing in the manual that said this. We have had nothing but trouble ever since. Both ovens will not heat at same time and even if you try to heat one oven, it will not stay at the set temperature and takes forever to get there. You have to turn oven off and start over to see what the correct temperature is. They have replace boards, etc but could never fix it. I started to think that it was a power problem. So i called out an electrician. They said that the current curciut for the oven was 30 amp and this oven required at least a 40 amp breaker. Also the wiring to the oven could not support the increased load. We had the electrical fixed and now both ovens preheat to desired temp and stay there in less than 5 minutes. DO NOT LET THEM do any appliance replacement. They did not do their due diligence in this case and let us know that the power need was different. I am sure that they knew. Why would the tech tell us not to turn them on at the same time, if they did not know. Very upset about this. Why is it today that no one does their job! I love to cook when i have time. Now i can, 5 years later!!!!!!!! If i could post a negative number rating i would.

This is an honest review from my experience today.I have looked and looked, and looked for weeks for my discontinued microwave that broke a month ago. No one...I mean no one had my Whirlpool Gold (except this place in Phoenix that wanted $300 for it and $200 for shipping). I went to Lowes, Home Depot, and Sears to get a new microwave and trim. There staff were not experts. Rodenbaughs had great floor selections....but wait.....they actually had a refurbished Whirlpool Gold. Better than that.....they charged me cheaper than a trim kit. I love this place and no one can compare to them. I, a grown man, hugged the male associate (and I am not a hugging kinda guy). If I ever need an appliance, I will absolutely go there.

Recommended by company remodeling our house. Bought a dishwasher and later a washing machine. Local store in Allen. Knowledgeable staff about appliances. Dishwasher was bought with extended warranty that if not used in 5 ys from purchase would be refunded to us. Glad we had warranty as dishwasher pump broke down after 2 yrs + and one phone call to Rodenbaughs got the repair in progress. Lucky us that the repairman had the specific dishwasher pump motor on his truck. Not usually stocked as too many variations among manufacturers. With new appliances installed they took away the old ones so homeowner isnt bothered with disposal.

We purchased $8000 of kitchenAid products in 2014. The refrigerator and cooktop glass required repairs in the first 4 months. Now the microwave circuit board is toast according to your repairman. We were shocked to find out there are no repair parts for the microwave. Whirlpool considers the microwave to be a throwaway after the one year warranty. Your website indicates you do not sell products that you can not service.Well if there are no parts how can that be true? I just bought a replacement microwave from your store and installed it myself. I was reluctant to do that but couldnt find one from another vendor that would fit into the existing built in opening. Now I am back to a poorly rated microwave after spending another $529. We always considered Rodenbaughs a good place for appliances but want other people to be aware of our poor experiences.John Miller

We bought a $2700 refrigerator from Rodenbaughs on 3/8/14 along with a $200 warranty. 3/12/19 it stopped cooling and was leaking water from the ice maker in the door (was having leaking issues a week prior). We called both the warranty company as well as Rodenbaughs (spoke to the owner) and were told the warranty was out and there’s nothing that can be done with it. We understand that, just feel like for the amount we paid and for it being out less than a week after the expiration of the warranty, that they could have worked with us a little. We liked buying from a family business but you really don’t get any benefit than from buying from a large company like Lowe’s. In fact we had Lowe’s send a service tech out on a dishwasher issue outside of our warranty and had us cover the cost of parts. If the refrigerator is dead we won’t be back to Rodenbaughs for another $3000 purchase. Also, if we had decided to pay their $89 service fee they would not be out for a week (meanwhile our food would perish)- not exactly the kind of service I would expect from the company.Update:Compressor out; would cost $800 for repair. Went to Lowe’s and bought a dented $1800 whirlpool for $720 with military discount (Item # 753010 Model # WRF535SWHZ). Also bought 3 year warranty.

I have lived in Allen for the past 15 years and went to Rodenbaughs because they are a local business. After having an issue with the washing machine purchased from them three years ago I was sure that we were going to be treated well....not so much. When I called to make the appointment I let the service department know what part needed to be replaced and to bring it with when the person came to the house. When the man showed up he was very unpleasant and rude to my wife. He did not bring the part with ( a new control panel) and told my wife that he would have to go back to the shop to get the part and it would cost us more to have him come back out to put it in. He was in our house nine minutes and charged us $96.88. When he called back he quoted an additional $385.59 for a no more then $100 part which takes 15 minutes to change out. I always try to go to local business over the national stores but after this I will never go back to Rodenbaughs.
