What an awesome place to stay for a family vacation! Accommodations couldn’t have been more excellent! Plenty of room for everyone! Super clean, stocked with everything you need in the kitchen! Outside you have all the amenities you could ever want: kayaking, canoeing, paddles, life jackets, outdoor games, indoor pool, hot tub, soon a sauna, game room with pool, air hockey, ping pong, corn hole game, board games, lounge, two beaches, etc…it was AMAZING!!! We’ve booked our stay for next year already!! Highly recommend!! ❤️

Lake Darling Resorts was just what our family needed! Each villa was spotless, spacious and perfectly setup for our family of 19. The lake access was so close and their staff was superb. They were super responsive to our requests and the new clubhouse with pool and hot tub was ideal. Well be back next year for sure!

Very friendly staff, on site boat rentals, and clean units. Pictures of the family room a bit deceiving (looks bigger online than really is), but the bedrooms are very nice and free use of paddle boards, kayaks, and indoor pool. Awesome paved trail across the road.

We stayed over a holiday with a group of friends. The villa was beautiful and spacious - lots of room with wonderful lake views (the villas are very close to the water!). The kitchen was fully equipped as well which was nice. We had a lot of fun playing board games by the fireplace and riding around on the snowmobiles. Great location too! Highly recommend this for a family, friends, or couples getaway!

Our family stayed here pre-covid (I believe it was August 2019) The twin homes are beautiful, clean, spacious & very comfortable. The staff was wonderful & accommodating. Weve booked again for summer 2021 & cant wait to go back!

Lake Darling Resort was the best cabin/resort that weve stayed at in the Alexandria area. Very nice new cabins, private fire pit and grill as well. They have contact-less check in, and were wearing masks when in the office. Kayaks, paddle boards and lawn games were all free to use. We also rented a pontoon boat for an afternoon from the resort. The crew at Lake Darling Resort does a great job of keeping the cabins and grounds clean. Cant wait to go back!

Loved the staff! They were very helpful and hospitable. The resorts were very clean and updated. They have constructed an indoor pool onsite but it wasnt done when we went but they had two beaches we used. Cant wait to use it next time we go. We have been there twice and would LOVE to go back again. I highly recommend this resort to any families who would like to have a good time by the lake!

Beautiful location with the lake a few feet away! Clear waters and the home was beautiful. Visited late August so it was a bit cloudy, but would definitely come back on hotter days. Kayaking and canoeing is complimentary and fun.

Our stay at Lake Darling Resort was excellent this past weekend! My husband and I planned a small wedding gathering and was the perfect place to hang out, grill out, and relax for our group (8 people). The cabin was very clean, nice bedding, and had fully equipped kitchen. The cabins are new and everyone was impressed by how well they were furnished. The views were amazing, watched the sunrise every morning from bed. We were feet away from the lakeshore and had a nice campfire each night. It is the perfect place to recharge. We rented a pontoon from Lake Darling which was really nice and well maintained. We took it fishing and had great luck in a nearby bay. In the evenings it was the perfect setup for a family cruise. We ended up extending our stay because we loved it so much. The staff really went above and beyond during our stay and was easy to get information or things we needed. We also enjoyed the easy contactless check-in. Thank you Lake Darling Resort for the perfect fall stay!! We will be back.

Spent a weekend here cozied up by the fireplace during a snowstorm. 10/10 - wish we would’ve been snowed in and stuck here for weeks.Very clean, nice appliances, cute decor.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️There is no better place to stay in Alexandria.I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Lake darling Resort several times over the past couple years. Everything from a place to stay during a wedding nearby, to the Fourth of July where we hosted family, and even once in the winter where we did some out door recreation.First off, Lake Darling is a premier lake on the chain of lakes, and finding a nice place to stay on the lake can be a challenge. This resort gets you front row access, making it easy to enjoy and get out on the lake— including of course a great view for fireworks during the 4th. The beach is well maintained for the family to swim and hang out.The villas themselves are so nice. Well built with all the conveniences you could want including a screened in porch for escaping the bugs, and a grill. Just an overall easy place to hangout, eat, play cards, and enjoy the views. Even tho we had neighbors during our stays, we always felt like we had plenty of privacy.Location!! The resort is very well located to enjoy the area. It’s easy to get to Arrowwood, the Winery, and (personal favorite) a fun little burger bar called Leaf Valley merchantile. Oh, and of course it’s easy to get into town for groceries and drinks.I really appreciated that this is a family owned and operated resort because you know they care about the customers experience. The staff was very friendly and worked hard to make sure we had wood for our fires and helped us if we needed chairs etc.Finally- and perhaps most important, I think the resort offers an acceptional value. On a per person basis we are paying the same as lower quality alternatives, and the accommodations, locations etc are twice as good. So by that logic, it’s basically 1/2 the price.5/5 recommend! Keep up the good work LDR and we will keep coming back!

Stayed here for a ladies’ retreat this past spring. Great place! Beautiful interior! Reasonably priced. Easy access to downtown shopping and restaurants. Quick walk to a paved bike trail. I would love to return and stay here during the summer months!

We had a blast visiting some friends. the villas were really nice and clean .

Rented the pontoon. Price was reasonable. The boat was really nice. It had a nice canopy, a functioning live well, a good radio system, and, most importantly, sea legs, which are awesome. Nice people at the front desk. Looks like they are making a lot of improvements to the property too, though we didnt stay there.

Do not recommend. Hidden fees. Stinky towels, and most of all the rudest staff our family has ever encountered.

Comfort & style, this place has it all. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, & the staff was very helpful. Can’t wait to return next summer to enjoy this beautiful resort.

Lake darling resort is a family-friendly environment where memories are made and people choose to come year after year. I have been a part of this resort from its beginning and I am so thankful for the owners, the staff and to be able to be a part of such a wonderful place. I love it at LDR and I know you will too!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay and visit with family and friends. Would definitely recommend! Games, water activities, working kitchen (has everything you could need), barbeque grill and lovely beach seating.

Great twin homes to rent. Well kept on the inside. 2019 has alot of construction going on for the grounds and when complete it will be an even better get away.

Loved the cabins, but wish they were cheaper to buy, and the amount of time I could be there is too few for the high price when purchasing. They will need as lodge which is coming soon. I would stay again!

The new cabins are amazing! The old barn wood wall and screened porch are awesome. The new beach is great and we caught a ton of fish right off the dock!

4 day stay, right on the water, nice beach area, had fun on the paddle boards! The place is updated, clean, nicely furnished. The space is just a little small, wish it had more sq. footage.

Beautiful lake with clear water. Had fun swimming,kayaking, fishing, renting jet skis, playing lawn games, etc.

Had no idea what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised y the accommodations. Unit is large and open, plenty of sleeping space on very wonderful beds and bedding. Very new and feels like home!

We stayed for one week in August 2017. The new cabins were beautiful, but the Resort overall was clearly under construction, one piece at a time. For the prices charged, we were very disappointed that the beach was so small, one dock was almost unusable it was in such bad shape, they couldn’t accommodate our boat at their launch so we had to launch and load at a resort across the lake. Our cabins also didn’t have any stoops leading in from the front door so we were constantly tracking in dirt and sand all week. There were lots of hidden fees we thought as well. Overall, we would not return. Unfortunately, it was just far too expensive for such an inconsistent Resort.

They were a lot of bugs on the bed and all around the house you guys should do something about that and staff were a little disrespectful , but otherwise the stay was alright.

The villas are absolutely amazing! Waaaaay nicer than the overpriced resort across the lake. (we did go across to use the Waterpark for a few hours). Some of the resort is still being built, but we didnt even notice once we were settled in. Lots of things to do around the area, Winery is kindof close too! Love this place!
