Bobby and the entire team at Georgetown are excellent. We recently bought a 2007 Volvo from a neighbor at a great deal. We knew it was going to need some work so we dropped it off at Georgetown Auto with a list of weird sounds and maintenance needs. Bobby and his technicians diagnosed the problems quickly, communicated clearly and helped us differentiate between the necessary work and nice to haves. I feel very lucky to have Georgetown Auto within walking distance of my house -- but even if they werent Id make a special trip here any day.

Called Georgetown Auto to schedule a fix for a coolant leak on my VW. They were able to fit me in the next day and had the work finished earlier than expected. The staff was friendly and communicative as well. Ill be coming back for future repairs!

Bobby and the crew are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. They go above and beyond to understand the problem and truly don’t want to do (and charge for) unnecessary work. They’re incredibly transparent about their assessment and progress and will send photos and emails and/or call throughout the process to make sure you understand and agree with each step. This is the only place I will take my car in the DMV area.

Really grateful to Georgetown auto service! They took care of my tire and even put back on the shields I removed from the bottom while doing an oil change. Atop that, the mechanic showed me oil that I accidentally spilled around the engine and even cleaned it for me. All the while making me feel valued and comfortable. They are the real genuine deal. Excellent shop from top to bottom. Carlos took care of me; the whole process from placing the initial phone call to walking out with my cars tire plugged took less than one hour. Absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this shop..even for high end cars.

Fixed my 2007prius quickly when it died. One of the few shops other than the dealer to deal with hybrid batteries so definitely a great shop for prius battery issues but not breaks. When I went for break repairs, I was given a diagnosis so I ordered the parts. Come to find out that it was not the parts that needed to be fixed so I spent money on parts I didnt need. I went to a different shop who figured out the correct issue and they fixed it for more than 1k cheaper than it would have been for this shop to fix the wrong parts . So I wouldve been out almost 2k, plus had the wrong part fixed and still wouldve needed to get another repair done if I let them fix the issue.

I could not rave any more about Georgetown Auto Service and Bobby. My Jeep Compass had a leak because the A/C condensation drain was clogged and was leaking water into my vehicle. At the time, I was getting ready to ship my car to Austin and told Bobby this information. He promised to get the car to me before the end of the day so that he could meet that deadline. In doing so, he sent me detailed photos outlining the issues with my car and even revealed issues with my brake pads, changing those as well. What I really loved about Bobby is that he is so genuine as is the rest of the business. They really care about individual customers and saving them money. He knows the business and what he is doing, he couldve charged me whatever, but he actively sought to save me as much as possible while giving me the best service I could have asked for and even went out of his way to make sure I had the care ready in a day. I have been to many auto shops, but I have never experienced one like this. I am moving to a different city, but I would contact Bobby in a heartbeat for future problems, especially once back in the area.

They were extremely busy with many cars in queue, but when I called for a nail in my tire the owner said bring it in and we will take care of it. When I arrived a technician came right out and took my car in, 15 minutes later they were finished putting the tires back on the car and putting the spare back in its place. I recommend them, great service.

My family visited the DC area from NJ for a trip when our car broke down on Saturday night. We tried calling a few places but they were either closed until Monday or would not be able to help out on short notice. When we called Bobby however, he treated us like family from the start. After briefly explaining the situation (having issues with our gas tank), he provided us with a diagnosis and quote over the phone and assured us he would take care of the problem first thing Sunday morning. When we called him back Sunday morning, he was waiting for our call and had a spot ready in his shop. Bobby had his team take care of the rest and we were on our way by Sunday afternoon. I’m very grateful that Bobby took care of us in the emergency situation considering we had to travel back to NJ on Sunday afternoon. He was kind, professional, responded to questions immediately and provided a very reasonable quote in considering it was an emergency on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. Then they went the extra step further to provide me details on how to handle the recall warranty with Hyundai North America, truly exceptional service. Fantastic service from Roberto and his team. Brought in our higher mileage Honda Pilot for some scheduled and unscheduled work, as well as new running boards, new windshield, and a thorough interior and exterior detail. Great communication, honest assessments and very timely work. Had an issue after we brought it home, and took it back in. Problem was fixed overnight for no extra charge! Couldn’t recommend more.

BEST AUTO SHOP IN TOWN! Ive been here a couple of times for a few repairs and maintenance things. I got a brake fluid flush and got my starter replaced. This is hands down the best place ive been to after searching for a honest and reasonable mechanic in the Alexandria area. It is my go to place now. As a women its hard enough to find someone that is honest and does good work. THIS IS THE PLACE. They even mounted my front license plate for me for FREE because I needed to drill holes in the bumper and didnt feel comfortable doing it myself. These guys are the best in town and I would recommend 100% I usually dont write reviews, but they deserve it.

Ive used 4 different auto services since Ive lived in the DC metro area (6 years), and I eventually just gave up and started planning repairs around trips back home/ out of state as I was burned each time by either insane prices, services I didnt request, extremely long completion times, or even having my car held hostage until I pay for brake damage that a second opinion showed to be fraudulent. So I was extremely cautious prior to using this auto service location, but I had a handful of repairs piling up and needed to risk it. I could not have been more satisfied. Price was way way within my budget and cheaper than other quotes, total turn around for multiple requests ranging from wiring to TPS was under 24 hours, and I got a phone call update before any work was done to confirm exactly what I want/need. I will only be using these guys from now on.

I took my truck in to get fixed about a month ago and was introduced to Bobby and some of the mechanics there, and couldn’t be more satisfied with the quality of work and honesty in everyone. An auto mechanic shop that isn’t just out there for your money, but actually cares about the vehicles and the people. Extremely happy I found this place and would hands down recommend to anyone.

Great service when I was stuck in DC on way to NYC. Brought in my 2016 Audi S4 for a low oil warning after seeing all the reviews and Bobby and team proved why they had such great reviews! Bobby really went out of the way to take excellent care of me. Firstly, he was very flexible to accept my warranty when many others would not. He tried everything to keep the cost low for me. The most impressive part was that when I received the car, there was some new damage unnoticed to him but he went ahead and took care of the issue right away. This is really exceeding expectations!

Brake Fluid and service required message came on my BMW, went to Georgetown Auto on a Sunday. Bobbi wasn’t there but his staff is great, genuine and honest. They did the diagnostics, checked my pads, verified my brake fluid level and if it needed a flush, any other possibilities triggering the warning message. I called this morning to try and have a minor issue with a work van taken care of. After talking with Bobby for a solid minute, he stopped me, said hed be happy to do the work, but advised me it was something that could be easily fixed myself. Bobby and his guys get A+ from me. I’ve been going to Georgetown Auto since 2012 (my car was a 1997 Toyota Camry with over 100,000 miles). If you want people who are honest and who do excellent work, this is the place.I live it DC, but it’s definitely worth the trip to Alexandria, VA. And Bobby will go out of his way to help you. Four years ago, when I was deciding whether to buy a used 2013 Camry Hybrid at CarMax, I drove it to Bobby’s shop. He inspected it for me and confirmed that it was in good shape. He’s kept it that way ever since. Theres nothing better than having an honest car mechanic.

Great customer service and they take care of everything for you. I dropped my car off after hours and put my key in the drop box, and everything was taken care of for me. They are very flexible and were even willing to communicate with me through email because I couldn’t take calls at work. When I did call, Bobby and Roberto were so wonderful and were willing to work with me on everything I needed done. Everything I needed did get done and was done the right way. My car is doing great now! I highly recommend them. They are reliable and trustworthy.

Needed a new battery for my VW Jetta and the AAA folks couldn’t replace it due to an electronic coding issue. Bobby and his team were able to fit me in within an hour and a half of closing and provided excellent service at a more than fair price. The whole visit took less than 30 minutes. Very straightforward and transparent in a refreshing way. I’ll definitely be returning for regular service.

Great experience! They were very clear about the car needed to have done to keep it in good working order, including sending an email with the recommended maintenance and the estimated cost. My experience with Georgetown Auto was fantastic. I was treated with the up most respect. Was updated on the status of my vehicle constantly. Most importantly the work performed was professional and with the best quality and interest to me the client.

Had a great experience with them after having broke a part on my car (brake caliber pin broke off inside). After calling and speaking with Bobby to explain my issue, and before we had finished our call, he had already ordered the part in case it needed to be replaced. Since the part wouldnt be there until after the next day I still went ahead and had it brought over the next morning but didnt end up needing to replace it but got it fixed with no issues. Also had them put on the new brakes I had and had it all done within the day. Extremely pleased with how everything was handled and would definitely recommend them as I will definitely be going back if need work done.

I have no complaints about the friendliness of the staff and the shop itself, that was all good. But I do have complaints about the price and length of service. They charged $760 to replace my gaskets on a 2006 Honda Pilot, I dropped the vehicle off at 7am and had to wait till the afternoon of the next day to get my car back. I check with the Honda dealership after and they charge $675 to change the gaskets and 4-5 hours for the service. I think next time I will stick to the dealership.

I am hesitant when going to a business based on online reviews because there are so many fake ones out there. BUT I am here to tell you, I found Georgetown Auto Service on Google & they are legit! I dropped my 2011 BMW 328i off on a Sunday afternoon and there was one mechanic there to diagnose what was going on with my car - just to be certain, they waited until Monday to get multiple opinions before telling me what the issue was. Bobby was very thorough with detailing everything going on with my car and helping me with figuring out what the best repairs & fixes to do were (based on costs because services sure can be pricey).Overall, I am happy with the services they provided and I the prices were fair. I would definitely recommend Bobby and his team here if youre having urgent car issues!

Ive been taking my Toyota rav4 here for a few years now and these guys are really the best of the best. They always take such good care of me and my car and are the most honest mechanics I have ever experienced. They never try to sell you on services you dont need but give you reasonable recommendations on things you do need. I bought a house in Maryland and I will still keep coming back here regardless. I dropped my car off in the evening, after it broke down. Not only did Bobby call me back after closing, but they looked at it right away the next morning. Keeping in contact with me throughout the day (my point of contact was Roberto), they did all the necessary repairs -- new water pump, a coolant hose, and brakes -- in one day. I would say the prices were pretty normal, and they seem honest. Im no expert, but I have a working knowledge of cars, and everything they told me was consistent with what I already knew about my vehicle.Theyre certainly friendly and will take the initiative to explain things to you. There is not much more valuable in life than a good, honest mechanic, unless you happen to be one yourself. I definitely plan to come back here in the future.

Easy to work with, excellent customer service, knowledgeable folks, I dont take my car to anyone else.Over the years Ive had mechanics misdiagnose my car plenty of times only for me to figure the issue out (need fuel injector cleaner, loose gas cap, mass airflow sensor issues etc) after paying out the nose for a diagnosis; Ive had mechanics charge me for work they didnt do, like replacing my O2 sensors only to find the old sensors still in the car. Never had any of those issues here.Bobby and his team are up front about what actually needs to be done to get you running and have reasonable prices. The rides they offer to and from the metro are a huge help. The fact that hes an animal lover is frosting on the cake (great, well behaved pets!)

I began using Georgetown Auto about six months ago for both of my cars. Bobby is extremely responsive, his work is thorough, doing only what needs to be done at a fair price. Its the kind of car service that I have been searching for a long time. Exceptionally satisfied.Two years on, I continue to be extremely happy. They were very efficient in their work on my BMW 325. They kept their promises. The first thing that impressed me when I walked into the shop was that the guy working at the desk was treating the customers like neighbors or old friends -- chatting not only about the car being repaired, but also chatting about life, families, vacations, etc. It showed that the shops employees seem to care about their customers, and to treat their customers well.

I have started using Georgetown Auto for at least the last 10 years. Since I live in Georgetown and they were also in Georgetown. But they had to move because of a fire and I was wondering what to do. I was told NO PROBLEM we will pick your car or your self up and bring you back. That has been going on ever since they moved. Bobby is a genius with cars. He and Roberto his colleague have been keeping my 14 years old Saab going. If I have any problem they are there to fix it. I feel more secure with my old car because of them than if I had a new car without them being there for me. They are the most reliable and HONEST people one can have the good luck to have.

Georgetown Service Center was the best Car shop Ive ever been to. I had my Audi towed in for a clutch replacement and the next day it was ready for pickup. I took my car to Audi dealership first and they quoted me almost triple the price of Georgetown. I would recommend this shop to anyone that needs service done. The staff is nice and respectful. AWESOME mechanic. Bobby was attentive, nice, communicated what he saw, even showed me on my car in the shop what he thought was wrong. Had an appointment at 8 am. I was in and out in 30 minutes. He suspected an initial easy fix so he cleaned a part and didnt charge me! And Im new to the shop, but I suspect hell be my guy from now on.

I regularly use Georgetown for maintenance and repairs on my 2003 Subaru. With only one exception (not their fault) they have always been prompt and the repairs completed as promised. I also appreciate that they tell me about things I might need but dont pressure me if I decide that I want to put something off. Ill continue to use them - theyre good people.
