This guy has been fixing on my cars since I was 28 years old, Im now 54. I trust him totally, never came back to have the same job done twice. He takes good care of women especially knowing we are targets to other mechanics. Good, honest, family and church going man. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this guy and I dont think youll ever find anyone who can.

Mike really saved us when we had an emergency situation!! A piece of another car’s flat tire hit our bumper on the freeway, causing the bumper to semi-detach and drag on the ground. Even though his shop was not open on Sunday, he completely went out of his way to help us out!! He quickly came to our location (after we sent him photos for assessment), and detached our bumper so we could complete our road trip. He also made sure other pieces were tied in place, so we wouldn’t have any further issues. On top of that, he is extremely friendly and the cost was so reasonable! THANK YOU, MIKE!!

Small local auto shop. Brought my car in before a long drive for inspection and maintenance. Mike was friendly and professional, and explained what he was working on thoroughly. Will return for additional work if I need a mechanic in the area again!

I went to mikes to change sparkplugs on my engine. Every other mechanic i talked to gave me a price way above his and also said that it would be atleast a week before i would get it back. I even had one mechanic refuse to work on it because of the bad reputation the engine had with plugs coming apart in the engine head. When i talked with mike about it he had no problem doing it at a cheaper price. He had the job done only 3 hours after i dropped it off and its running with no problems. Mikes is by far the best shop in Rapides. If you are anywhere near his shop and you need the job down quick, professionally, and for an amazing price, then go see him or give him a call.

Mike went out of his way on a busy Friday to look at my car. He put my car on a lift to find the problem, and took valuable time out of his day even though he didnt have to. if I was a local Id for sure make this man my mechanic.

Mike did a great job with helping me when my car started running hot on my way back home to New Orleans. He was easy to talk to and showed me excellent customer service.

Best mechanic hands down. This man picked my son car up on April 1st, found a motor, took his old motor out, put the new motor in serviced that motor replaced seals along with doing a complete brake job all within 8 days. If you want a honest mechanic that provides excellent service in a timely manner get with Mr. Mike...he is the best!

I was traveling from Zachary Louisiana on business. When I arrived at my hotel I heard a ticking sound coming from my engine. The manager of the Hotel informed me to take it to Mikes Auto Repair. Said he was the best in town. Luckily I was less than a few minutes away. I called the shop and Mike answered and met me there. Looked at my truck immediately. Turned out to be major engine problems (Cam Shaft and Lifters). Had to leave town after a few days. I drove back to Alexandria 10pm at night to pick up my truck. He met me at the shop saving me the trouble of having to get a hotel again. I drove the truck back two hours. Drives like brand new. Quality work, great service!

I traveled to speak on Facebook event at my brothers Church. My Rv was making a loud noise during the trip to Alexandria La my wife and I spent day by the side of the road in the hot sun, broken down. Other top rank shops in Dallas Tx couldn’t repair the Rv and they charged me about 2k all together.This man opened his shop on his off day to help.Mike fixed it with in 15min

Out of towner visiting the area for a graduation. Was promoted with some unexpected car trouble near Alexandria. Wandered across this awesome shop. He was closing but decided to stay open to fix my vehicle. Did a wonderful job in repairing my vehicle and even made sure my AC was blowing cold. I would definitely recommend him to anyone else.

Mr. Mike is extremely nice and courteous. Hes not one of those that are just in it to rip you off. After I wrecked my vehicle he looked at it for free and then called a friend of his for a quote on parts instead of buying them and then charging me whatever. I highly recommend you go see him before spending all your money at some high volume shop.

If I lived in Alexandria I wouldnt take my car anywhere else. We were driving through on Sunday when we developed car trouble. Mike took time out of his day off to help us. He quickly diagnosed a frozen u-joint in drive shaft. Unable to get part on Sunday so Mike drove us to a motel and patiently waited while we got a room. Mike also told us where we could rent a car. The part arrived on Tuesday and work was done by noon. I noticed humming sound at high speed, returned to Mikes and he accurately diagnosed a failing wheel bearing, ordered the parts and replaced it on the spot while we waited. Good prices, excellent workmanship, and goes out of his way to help.

I am an out of towner here for work and didnt know where to go to get my car fixed in Alexandria. I found Mikes Auto Repair and sales. Mike exceeded my expectations! He was polite and very reasonable priced. He got the job done much quicker than I anticipated, he even dropped my car off to me at work on his lunch break. I would definitely go to him again. Very satisfied w/ Mikes Automotive. Im from Houston and got stranded. I must say if you are a local resident of Louisiana and going any other place than Mikes your wasting your time and money. Very professional and on point w/ his experience. With little effort just from me explaining the problem and pointing in the problem area (which means he listened and my input mattered) he knew the problem and knew the solution. Before i could return w/ correct part he was ready to wrap up the job. Everything done in a timely manner. On my next trip to Alexandria i will be taking my truck to him before i dare leave out. Im confident that my family and i will return home safely w/ out any incident! Fyi 4.5 hour drive back and i am more than ready for this Field trip home. I cannot rave enough about Mike Robinson! My insurance company referred me to him when my vehicle broke down. I drive an older model SUV and was over an hour from home and worried about someone trying to take advantage of the situation. Mike was polite and friendly. He paused what he was doing to look at my vehicle, thus determining whether or not I would be able to drive it home that day. He answered every question I had, which was a lot. He patiently walked me through his process so I could understand what was going on with the car. Turns out a fuse had blown, he fixed it QUICKLY and sent me on my way, but not without giving me his number should something happen. Less than a mile down the road, it happened again. Mike came out to where I was (NEVER HAPPENS WITH ANYONE ELSE) and took my car back himself. He called a couple hours later with pictures of what the real problem was. When I returned, he showed me in person and explained how and why it had happened. He fixed it quickly but made sure that it was done in a way that the same problem would not arise again. He took amazing care of me in a desperate situation. To say that Mike Robinson is an honest, fair and kind man would be an understatement. Hes genuine and he was a Godsend to me. I may live over an hour away from this mans shop, but I will never use another mechanic. I am so thankful to him.

Me and a few friends were on a road trip to New Orleans when I blew my engine just a few miles outside of Alexandria,LA. We had a tow truck take us to Mikes auto shop on a Sunday when all other shops were closed. He gave me a good deal on a new motor and had us back in the road on the date and time he said he would. He even went out of his way to pick up me and my friends at the motel we stayed at while he worked on my vehicle. I must say if you are having any car trouble in the area this would be the man to go to.

My boyfriend and I broke down outside Alexandria, LA late Saturday night after hitting a raccoon on I49. Our oil pan looked like it might need to replaced and our SUV was not drivable, we leaked out every bit of motor oil. Tom got in touch with Mike after searching online for repair shops in Alexandia the next day that would be open on a Sunday. Tom took a cab to meet the tow truck driver and then towed the SUV to Mikes shop. Along the way both the cab driver and the tow truck driver highly recommend Mike and spoke well of his work. Mike agreed to work on our SUV on Sunday to help get us back on the road to Cali. He found the problem and fixed it promptly without requiring additional parts.
