My experience here at Ridgeleigh has been excellent. I moved in March of this year and am very pleased with the office staff as well as maintenance. If any problems come up they are quick to assist and solve any issues. I commend the office staff, especially Jad and Yasmina. They both are very helpful, courteous, and professional.Mark, Frankie, Dottie Mae

Ive had non-luxury apartments more functional than this luxury apartment. It seems like the maintenance is understaffed and it takes forever to get actual problems fixed. Our AC broke 3 times within 2 weeks. For one of the times they didnt have portable ACs for us and we had to sleep in the heat. For another time, they brought a portable AC but didnt set up it properly so we came home to a carpet SOAKED in water (Im talking 5 feet by 5 feet wide soaked). Then when we called they said they would come in 1.5 days with blowers but Never came. Then it started to smell like mildew. 4 days of them telling us theyll be there tomorrow and no one came until I complained in the office in person twice and we called 2 or 3 times on top of that. The whole apartment reaks of mildew. They ended up needing to take carpet padding from 1/2 of the room because of the delayed response. Never had any issues in my apartment that was non-luxury.P. S. there were other mishaps ontop of this that Im leaving out

Pros:Grounds are clean and well kept. Some neighbors are loud but nothing over the top that interrupts my life.Staff is helpful and friendly.Cons:Apartments are made to look nice, however, a lot of the finishing touches are not in place. Crooked light switches, not all doors fit correctly, appliances arent the best.Overpriced. This is due to COVID, Im sure, but they like every other apartment management company is charging more for less space.Pool/Gym hours. The COVID restrictions are very limiting. I understand the fear due to COVID, but, I believe in personal responsibility. Allow people the freedom to enjoy the perks of the apartment and let them handle their own risk. Government, businesses, etc are responsible for protecting themselves, offering protection from others, but NOT protecting us from ourselves in my opinion.

My boyfriend and I have been looking for the perfect apartment home for quite some time and stumbled upon this place while shopping. When I say it was everything we had been looking for would be an understatement. To top it off, we had the best leasing agent who was just over the top with professionalism, being personable and just a great person. Yasmina, thank you for being such an awesome person that helped my boyfriend and I choose our next home! You really made our weekend and I hope you get the recognition you deserve at being such an amazing spirit! If you’re looking for your next home, please visit this place and ask for Yasmina. She makes the tour and choosing very easy, she’s awesome!

I have lived at The Ridgeleigh at Van Dorn Metro for over 4 years and have never regretted my choice. The staff are phenomenal. They are attentive, friendly and professional. The apartments are modern and spacious. I always receive compliments from my guests who are surprised by the size and nice finishes. The grounds are well manicured and clean. Maintenance is on point and responds quickly to any needed repair. The residents are respectful and friendly (many of the residents are military). It is a pet friendly environment, with a well kept dog park on the premises. The location is very convenient to the beltway and metro with a free shuttle to/from the Van Dorn metro running in the am and pm. I highly recommend The Ridgeleigh when searching for your perfect rental apartment!

Been in the community for almost 1 year and it’s going well so far. Parking is free which is great but it can also be really hard to find a spot near your building if you get home after 4pm. The only consistent issues I’ve had so far is in regards to the bathrooms. My shower & toilet have had to be repaired several times during my time here.Maintenance is friendly but could have a better turn around time on tickets without having to call the office for assistance. Yasmina & Jad from the leasing team are friendly as well and have helped a lot during my move in and transfer. We now have upstairs neighbors and they are super noisy. When they walk across the floor they shake our living room light fixture. Walls in general aren’t too thin but the ceilings generate a ton of noise. Other than that, neighbors are OK.

Management is very responsive if there are ever any issues. Its an extremely dog friendly complex, and the dog park is always well maintained. The winning aspect for me, is the customer service and that I feel that the management office and the maintenance team do make an effort to get to know the residents. Jad in particular is one of the team members I often see out and he makes an effort so ask how you are and remembers my dog/family.

I enjoy my updated apartment. I think the rent is comparable to other complexes I have visited. I’ve lived here for a little over a year. I have few complaints: I live on a top level and I can hear my neighbors below slamming doors and their toddler running and jumping in the apartment. Ventilation is a bit sketchy because I can smell what my neighbors are cooking. The balcony has nails sticking out and at first seems a bit sketchy to walk on. I hammered a few down and put a nice out door carpet down but I’m not sure how much I’ll use it. I do have a garage which is pricey but worth it since I needed the storage space. The maintenance staff is quick to respond to requests. I haven’t had any issues with management. The direct community around the complex is quiet and walkable. I haven’t used many of the amenities like the gym or pool due to COVID19. The trash area remains convenient and clean. The complex is conveniently located off the major interstate highways and Kingstowne shopping center has plenty of shopping. Springfield Mall is about ten minutes away and so is Wegmans grocery which is my favorite. I really love the area and I’m now looking to buy a home nearby if possible. If I have to stay a little longer this is a great complex to stay in the meantime.

I have been a resident for 2 years, and it has been a good experience. The staff has been great to work with. Given there has been some turnover, I have most often interacted with Jan Harris, Assistant Property Manager. Just as I was told by many others while moving into the community and since being here, she is extremely polite and professional as well as thorough, attentive, and exceptionally responsive in even the smallest of matters.During COVID, both the grounds and the buildings have been kept clean, to including wiping down the stairwells. Some things to consider would be very noisy from neighbors living in above units (i.e. walking, exercising, partying, etc.), extreme safety concerns of vehicles frequently parking in the fire lanes, guests, food delivery, package delivery, etc. (towing or removal not enforced), and very limited lighting in the parking lot during night hours. Also, busy traffic, towing not in affect until 10:00pm, often difficult for residents to find parking.

Ive lived here at the Ridgeleigh for 10 + years and like it very much. Its clean, safe, quiet, with a friendly courteous staff, close to bus stops and a beltway entrance/exit, and less than a mile to the Van Dorn metro stop.I always have a place to park (with a parking pass decal for residents), as the parking is monitored so that others dont take up resident parking. Packages delivered are either left outside of my door undisturbed, or signed for at the leasing office where I can pick up during business hours. On the rare occasion I need maintenance to fix something, they are quite prompt, professional and courteous, and fix the problem quickly. The decor is also beautiful and never outdated.Rent is comparable to that in the area.Ive been happy here, obviously, to live here this long. I stopped by today looking for a new place to rent. The realtor lady was very kind and I liked talking to her, the place seemed nice and I was very close to go back the next day to submit my renter’s application even though the lady did not show me a model apartment.I have changed my mind now, I dont want to move in since I have read the bad reviews. It is unfortunate because I liked the location. I work a lot and I am a quite person but the last thing I need is a neighbor complaining about me being home or having a load neighbor. I have lived in properties that had thin walls, it was not a pleasant experience where my next door neighbors kept me up late some nights. I dont want to go though it again. To be fair for to the property, I have not lived in the building nor have I seen what an apartment actually look like other than what I have seen posted online. If the property management showed me an apartment I would have been able to judge for myself but since I have not had the opportunity I will go with what was said on here. In my view perception is reality specially when there is more than one bad comment and noises complain. Thanks for whoever took the time to post their experience to help us make a better decision.and I forgot to mention the comments about parking.

I have here at Ridgeleigh for two years and I love it here. Its a beautiful property, safe and clean; walking distance to the metro and along a good bus route (there is also a shuttle to/from the metro). The staff is extremely professional and friendly- I feel like I am a part of a community. I moved from another property just two blocks away because I really wanted a balcony . . .the fire place is an extra bonus. Like any building, sometimes things break or need repair, but the maintenance team is A++; they fix things quickly and they are respectful of my belongings and very courteous.I have one of the remodeled units, so it feels like a brand-new apartment. Also the garage is large enough for my SUV- lots of room. I am a very picky, easily irritated girl, but I have no complains- honest. I will say that if you are bothered by little noises and hearing neighbors walking around- just live on the top floor like me, you will be fine.Again, I am very happy living here, I could not ask for a better property, for the price I am paying.

This place is NASTY!!! RENTERS BEWARE. My advice: Do more than beware, just don’t do it. Don’t be fooled by the nice remodels, sales pitches or false promises. The owner and administrative team is completely immoral and unethical. They racially profile. They look to charge for everything and anything. They make threats to evict you over mere cents (I’m not exaggerating - cents!) They don’t provide a warning - just threats to evict within days for minor grievances. Have you ever been asked to provide a certified check or money order when you have perfect credit? You will here. Have you ever lived somewhere where you see apartment staff rattling peoples’ front doors late at night? You will here. Have you ever lived somewhere where they keep the AC warm in the gym because they don’t want to pay to keep it at an appropriate temperature? You will here. On move-in day you will get a checklist of all of the charges (including legal fees) they will apply if they do not get the apartment back in perfect condition upon move-out - not normal wear and tear condition, perfect condition. If you want to be treated like a criminal - welcome home.

Terrible place. Outside of Pablo, the management does not care about its residents once you sign the lease. Their management actually suggested that I keep my daughter from walking in our apartment because the downstairs neighbor complained, suggested I try teaching a 6 year old to slide her feet around the apartment! Also to note, it appears that they didn’t put in anything to help muffle the upstairs apartment steps When they renovated so your downstairs neighbor will hear if you tip toe. Don’t move here if you have kids, pets, furniture, or even feet. Not worth the stress. If I could give them 0 stars I’d give them 0. Hell, I’d give them negative stars if I could!

I have only lived here for two months and feel targeted by the neighbors and leasing office. 10 pm is apparently The Witching Hour, so if you walk or speak after 10 pm, you will receive a noise complaint by the police. Second time I received a noise complaint was due to an argument that took place outside of the building, but somehow the police were called to my unit. The neighbors dog barks all day and night on end, yet I receive the noise complaint from the leasing office. Recently, the leasing office requested that my roommate remove his dog from the premises due to the maintenance man claiming an attack, yet Ive known this dog for three years and hes not aggressive.I would only recommend living in this complex if you are elderly and are in bed by 8 pm.I pay my rent and utilities like everyone else here, but I feel targeted by the neighbors and the leasing office... I will not be renewing my lease when the time is due. I feel my experience may be from a form of discrimination and it saddens me that a place I sought to live would treat people as such. Once the clock hits 9:59, I feel I have to walk on eggshells for fear of a complaint and I have 8 more months left on this lease... this is not a preferred way to live for someone who pays their hard earned money for a roof over their head...

Absolutely not the best apartment to live-in. Considering the surroundings the rates are expensive and at the time of signing of lease it is mandatory to take Renters insurance. Folks at the leasing office are good until you sign the lease and make payments each month. Maintenance probably are good, but not the office folks, they are the most laid back of all. Getting parking passes for visitors is a pain when someone decide to visit during holidays, office closed on holidays and no way to get a guest pass for parking. Overall not the best apartments to stay. Space is smaller when compared to other apartments in the area.

I was debating whether or not to write a review but since I was treated so poorly by the management I decided to write this. I had to get up early for work and saw two men walking up and down the parking spots. They passed by me and I politely said good morning. They both turned to me and shined their flash lights in my face which caused me to step back. They asked who I was and what I was doing here. I told them that I lived here. They then started to interrogate me and demanded that I show them ID and where did I park. I felt so threatened and scared. They threatened to follow me and tow my car if I didnt show them ID and proof. I asked them what their reasoning was and all they said is they are A1 towing and they run this town. I turned and ran away back to my apartment. I was so scared I almost called the police but I was afraid they might come to my apartment. Im so glad we move out here soon. I urge everyone to not live here.

I lived here for close to 3 years and I felt very safe and happy with my 1 bedroom apartment. Pros of living here is close to the highway, minimal traffic, dog park, pool, and gym although because of Covid I didn’t get to utilize those amenities towards the end of my stay. Cons include noisy upstairs neighbors that you can hear the dog, music, parties, etc., never could find parking at the end of my shift and had to park far from my actual apartment, sap from pine trees that ruined my car paint (they finally removed 75% of those trees after I’m sure of plenty of complaints) and finally had various issues with my AC leaks, gas leaks, and washer issues that took several maintenance requests to finally fix. At one point my energy and gas bill was 3X the normal amount for them to actually fix the issue. Lastly, terminating my lease was an issue due to a new employee that seemed incompetent and couldn’t answer simple questions. Often times they would call me back with my answers after talking to management. I was told I had to patch up holes (from artwork) in my wall and paint with the same color and professionally shampoo my carpet with proof. I found this a way for management to keep security deposits most apartments don’t require this and after moving out do they not paint and clean thoroughly for the next tenant especially with Covid. Overall, I living here was convenient to my lifestyle but parking, noise from neighbors and management left a bad experience.

AVOID. The management company that took over a year ago and their practice of passing their mistakes on to their consumers out of greed has been my biggest consumer complaint. My customers wouldn’t stand for it if I did business this way and I would not expect them to either. The new management likes to hide behind words like “fair and equitable” and “laws” as reasons to enforce greed. Apparently some laws changed when they rolled in to town because the previous management company would exhibit reasonable business practices. The trash/recycle areas are typically overflowing. The apartment unit walls are thin. No alarm clock needed with a small dog jumping up and down overhead every morning. I was willing to work around the thin walls and garbage but the new management company’s manner of doing business is a deal breaker. They get a star for maintenance.

If you want a great cleansing, powerful shower DO NOT live here. The water pressure is ridiculous and the spray does not even go to the back of the tub. I have had maintenance here twice and there seems to be nothing they can do. The new leasing company KCMapts also had our bathroom sinks changed out from a stream of water to a sprayer which is cost effective for them but ineffective for me. It just gets water everywhere when brushing your teeth or washing your hands.Since KCMapts has taken over they have also had a reason to enter all apartments 5 times in 9 months for maintenance purposes. Seems a bit intrusive to me.Every employee that I knew when it was Ridgeleigh has left. There was another complaint about when the roofers were here and it is all true; with more. They took up over 15 parking places during the time they were replacing the roofing. The parking here is tough if you work late and it was extremely frustrating to try to find a spot late at night since so many were taken by a company that doesnt even live here. There is no security here and I would have to trek from the front offices to my apartment because all the spots were taken by the construction company. And; as for the clean up, nails were in the parking spots and on the sidewalks. Also, someone commented on the loud neighbors and yes, there are some here that have absolutely no regard for their neighbors and hang out on the patio until 11-12 at night during the pleasant evenings.I personally dont want to have to go knock on someones door to ask them to keep it down, I shouldnt have to. Its about respecting your neighbor and if they have no regard for those that are next door or across the way I would be afraid they might become verbally abusive and slam the door in my face (if they even heard my knock to begin with).Again, no security...You have to call the police.Oh for the good old days where The Ridgeleigh was here and cared about its residents.

Im a current resident and Ive lived here for 4 years. In the beginning it was awesome, but a year ago a new company took over the property. This company is horrible and obviously takes no pride in the property. The same few exercise machines have been broken for a year. They also try to get in your business. In March of this year, they asked to be listed on everyones renters insurance and gas bill. This would allow them to see your information and be notified if you cancelled you insurance, arent paying your bills or make any changes to it. I refused to do that, they dont need that info. I was also told, while out of town for work, that the front office would like to be informed when residents are going to be out of town. Why? So someone can break into my apartment and rob me? Again none of their business. I pay my rent on time and am not a problem resident. As old residents move out the owners have been renovating older apartments. In doing that the base rent for the one bedroom apartment has gone up. So while new residents are paying more for a newly renovated apartments, the old residents are paying more for apartments that arent renovated. Theyre trying to compete with newer, better places. The front office staff used to be so great, now everyone up there isnt that great. Ive called to speak with the manager and didnt get a call back for weeks. They do not look up information before calling residents. Instead of verifying if we did or didnt, I get a call at work saying that well be charged next time we leave trash outside our door. I had to inform them that Ive lived there for 4 years and know that allowed and that it was the apartment next door to me that had trash bags sitting outside of the door. The person said oh sorry and that she would walk over to the to verify. All I could think was, why didnt you go check before calling me?Multiple times, theyve called me at work to get permission for maintenance to enter my apartment. Every time I have to inform them that there is a dog in my apartment and every time the person is surprised to hear this. I pay an extra $50 a month for my dog, you should know who has pets in their apartments. Another time, they tried to go in and maintenance got scared and left. I got a call from them saying that the dog was not happy with the stranger coming in and the front office person had this air about him like I was supposed to come home from work so that maintenance could come into my apartment. I told them that my husband and I are at work and dont get home until 4:30. Maintenance leaves for the day at 5. After multiple calls (from the front office) to pin down a time to come back and patch up a whole in my bathroom, we verified a time twice and weeks later they still havent shown up. I told them my day off and sat at home all day, they still didnt show.Parking isnt the greatest. If a lot of residents have more than one vehicle, parking runs out fast. I feel like reserved spaces are a waste because Ive only seen a few people actually pay to have them. Theres one around the corner from me thats been empty for 4 years. As for the area, if you arent facing Van Dorn street its really quite. Sometimes I forget that we sit right on it. Really close to Van Dorn Metro, the highway, Kingstowne and Springfield Mall. Just a heads up, there is a wildlife preserve down the street from the property. Once winter time comes around, you start to see and hear the foxes. A lot of people walk their dogs off leash and dont care about policy. Ive seen a dog almost get hit by a car in the parking lot.In summary, its a convenient place to live. The size of the apartment is small and rent is too high. I was fine paying what we have when I saw that the owners were taking care of the property, now not so much. Ive gone from paying $1350 when we first moved in, to paying $1620 now. My apartment is under 600 sq. ft. If the company that took over was as good or better than the previous one, Id continue to stay but they arent and I do not plan on renewing my lease again.

My husband and I are current residents at the Ridgeleigh Apts on Van Dorn. There are many things we enjoy about the apt complex such as the convenience and cleanliness of the gym, the summer pool party and the annual Christmas party. We have been very happy residents up until recently. We signed our paperwork in August to renew our lease and were told we were all set for the next ten months. About a month later we received e-mails from the Ridgeleigh stating that they werent sure whether we were going to renew our lease or not. We were confused since we had just signed that paperwork. We found out someone in the leasing office had dropped the ball and put the wrong price on our lease. We now had to take additional time out of our schedules to resign the renewal paperwork. A few days later when we checked our bank account, we found out that we were charged an additional $400 over our signing price. The amount taken out of our account was not on any of the paperwork we had signed (the first time or the second time). Because of their paperwork mix-up, Clickpay, the automated payment system had given us the month to month price, not the 10 month price. We spoke to Mai, who is in charge at the leasing office. Even though she admitted that they made a mistake, she said that there was nothing she could do except give us a credit of $400 next month. And after finally reaching the regional manger after several attempts, she said the same thing. I am thankful to God that we had extra money in our account and could survive this month without this money. If we had not had a cushion, this could have been a scary financial situation for us.Moral of the story for people who live at the Ridgeleigh Apts on Van Dorn:1. If you use Clickpay, check your account regularly, especially if you just renewed your lease because they may accidentally overcharge you for your rent.2. Budget your money so that you have a cushion of $400-$700 in your account because if they do make a mistake, you wont get reimbursed/credited the money for at least a month.3. It is a waste of time trying to contact the regional manager. It takes her a long time to return voice messages and emails. Furthermore I dont think that she can do anything different from what the people at the leasing office can do anyways.

My rommate and I have been residents for about 3+ years now, starting in late 2013 I would give the Ridgeleigh at Van Dorn a 5/5 if not for the limited parking. My roommate and I live on the top floor, and havent had any issue with noise complaints. Location is great, nice and close to the Van Dorn metro station. Also, the maintenance team has been very expedient in addressing our issues.

I have lived here for almost 4 months and could not be happier! The location is pretty good for the price. Although it looks like it is right off of the highway on the map, it is actually nicely tucked off of van dorn street with two stop lights with lead lights to access the side roads. There are other neighborhoods behind the complex that provide great running and walking areas. The little dog park is great for my pup and I. There is also another community dog park at the end of the street that often has more friends to play with. The leasing office is always prompt and kind. My one complaint is the gym leaves a lot to be desired for a true gym rat like myself. Only one of the treadmills cooperates consistently. The ellipticals and bikes dont fit a person well. There are few machines, 1 bench, and handful of smaller handweights. I gave up my gym thinking I could use my apartment gym, but it simply doesnt suffice for anything besides light cardio and free weights, so factor probably keeping an off site gym into your budget. I would recommend one life fitness just up the road in old town (I will be returning there). Maintenance is very very nice and also understand dogs! They did not get upset when my pup fussed at them from the balcony while they were in the house. I have yet to experience the pool, but it looks like it will get good light through the majority of the day! I never hear my neighbors. The dog next door took awhile to adjust, so I could hear barking, but the leasing office was very good about reaching out to the owner and it seems to have improved.I will point out during the tour they did not show me the courtyard space to walk the dogs. It is amazing! There is plenty of walking and potty space for dogs. I also did not have the opportunity to see my apartment ( I have the small Allen) before signing the hold deposit of $400 which was nerve racking at the time. Luckily I actually got a more modern apartment than I was anticipating. It was in between the old cherry wood apartments and new grey remodels and looks very good! There were a few minor repairs that needed to be done upon move in, but they took care of everything right away. The maintenance man even taught me how to re-tighten the fridge myself if I need later (upon request, trying to learn to be a little handy! ) The apartment itself is a perfect use of 580 sq feet and feels much bigger than that. I also have only ever once had to park away from my apartment and that was late night on a weekend. guest parking needs to have a permit. towing is strictly enforced and I have watched multiple people get towed who did not have a guest pass or parking permit. if your guest arrives after leasing office is closed, they can park in future resident spots or theres tons of parking up the street in the neighborhood. All in all I think this is a good place for the money and the location! Everyone Ive met has been very sweet. I am also on the 4th floor with no elevator, and believe me, you get used to it. If anything its helped me save money because I know I dont want to carry so many groceries up the 4 flights. I am a young, single woman and I always feel safe here and walking around the neighborhoods around dusk/evening.I am happy to call this place my home!

If you are considering renting from The Ridgeleigh At Van Dorn, I would suggest you reconsider. I’ve lived here for a little over two years, and at first didn’t have an issue. I actually liked it when I first moved here; however, recently things have taken a turn for the worse. I moved into a different unit with a roommate a little over two months ago, and suddenly all of the problems begin.First off is the noise complaints. The neighbors don’t have the common courtesy to knock and ask you to be quiet. They will immediately go to calling the police. So be forewarned. You will need to walk on eggshells in your own home after 10 p.m., because apparently anything more than a whisper warrants calling the police. We are not loud people. We dont have crazy parties. At this point we are afraid to entertain guests because the police might show up at our door again. Then we receive noise complaints for noise that is happening OUTSIDE of our apartment...but somehow its our fault. On top of that, we are accused of our dogs barking all hours of the day and night, which is a flat out lie. Our dogs rarely ever bark, and when they do, it’s during the day, usually at other dogs. You know…normal dog stuff. Meanwhile, the neighbor’s tiny little lap dog, actually does bark all hours of the day an night…but I don’t see the police at their door. Also, apparently the neighbors here have little to occupy themselves, so they will peek out of their curtains and watch you, especially if you are walking your dog so they can report you for not cleaning up after them. I get it, stepping in dog poop is gross, but really? Watching the neighbors and going as far as taking pictures and videos? That’s a little much if you ask me. So again, watch yourself because the neighbors are very nosey. They will watch you and will complain for just about anything.Speaking of dogs…as I mentioned, I’ve lived here two years without incident. All of a sudden, the complex wants to claim that my dog is a threat to the community, and are demanding that I remove him. I’ve had this dog since he was a puppy. Anyone that knows my dog will tell you that he is not violent or aggressive. He does bark at people at times, and has a tendency to jump, which we are woking on, but he has NEVER bitten anyone in the nearly 4 years I’ve had him. Not once. They are claiming an employee was bitten, but refuse to show evidence that a bite actually occurred. They claimed a couple months earlier that another employee and a resident were bitten which I know for a fact is a flat out lie, because I witnessed what actually happened, and again they refuse to show proof the events ever occurred as they claim. In all of this they give no regard to the fact that I am a disabled veteran and he is my emotional support dog. They claimed they considered it heavily, but current events incline me to not believe that. He is a very large German Shepherd, a restricted breed here, but because of him being an emotional support animal they were required to accommodate me, and I feel that they have just been looking for any loophole that they can exploit to force me to get rid of him. So they embellish claims of him “attacking” people, which never happened. At this point I have already decided I will NOT be renewing my lease here when the time comes. For all of this to happen in the span of two months is absolutely ridiculous. I and my roommate feel as if we are being targeted, for whatever reason, and our short time here has been less than enjoyable, to put it lightly. In all of this, the leasing office, besides making false claims, has not been helpful at all. They are slow to respond and when they do, you don’t get any straight answers or real help. Again, if you are considering renting here, I would look elsewhere.

Lived here for around 2 years and overall it started pretty great, but the new rental company that took over in January of 2017 has left a lot to be desired. Some of the things that bothered me regarding the property and the apartment included:- how thin the walls were. Luckily my neighbors were on a similar schedule to us, so the noise didnt bother us much, but you could definitely hear them walking around and occasionally talking.-parking around the complex can be very difficult at times, especially later at night. Most times I could find a spot, but it might be clear across the street in the far back of the second property.-the office likes to send out many emails threatening to charge over people not picking up after their pets, not taking the trash out, or other things, but never seems to actually act on it. I have never lived somewhere that so many people did not pick up after their own dogs.- On weekend, the trash compactor was often overflowing over the top with no where for you to put your own trash. There was one or two weekends where the trash compactor was not just overflowing, but there was trash that was filling the entire staircase leading to it and stacked all around the area. Often the recycle bins are overflowing as well, leaving little or no space for you to put your recyclables.- if you are trying to call the office, you will only get them about 25% of the time. It is easier to actually go in and talk to them and thankfully since the new company, they have extended their hours 2 days a week.-It is close driving distance to the grocery, restaurants and the metro, but walking to any of these is a bit far. While the metro is close, there is not really a good path to walk. Also, it is a walk uphill, so unless you can catch a shuttle of bus, you are left either walking or ubering. I would recommend you make the walk at least once before you move in and start taking the metro regularly, as the hill is a bit steep.-Snow removal was kind of a joke when we were there. It usually would take a few days to remove the snow and then deal with the ice.-Overall, it was bearable, but I would not recommend it. We have moved into a different apartment and are paying the same in rent for better location and amenities.

If you can avoid it, dont move here. The property is ok but right after signing the lease, it was clear that onsite Property Manager is not people centric at all. Most interactions with her are just really unpleasant. I am literally counting the days until my lease is up.

Upon moving in I learned the complex isnt as dog friendly as I was lead to believe apparently my dogs cant walk in their own apt without the downstairs neighbor complaining. Somehow it is my fault the walk around the house at 10 am yes 10am.

I like it here, overall! There is a nice gym and swimming pool (although I just found out you have to pay to use the pool? Darn). When we first moved in, I noticed it was well-furnished and had a nice set up. It is a rather spacious one-bedroom apartment. Lots of storage space. You can find at least one outlet on each wall, which is very convenient. :) Some things arent the quality or condition that I would like, but weve eventually gotten used to some of its quirks! For example:-the walls are pretty thin and I can hear the neighbors from time to time;-I dont think the outside dumpster is large enough for the trash of everyone living here...Ive gone out there at least once a week when it is piled all the way down the stairs to the dumpster;-the toilet wont stop flushing unless we pop the flushing handle allll the way up;-we cant wash our clothes and dishes at the same time otherwise the dishwasher leaks all over the kitchen floor;-one of the cupboard knobs had fallen off;-the oven was missing a knob until I found it inside the stove while cleaning it;-the fridge is missing some parts;-the garbage disposal doesnt work; and the blinds are really old and dont fit very well in the window (they fall on us if we try to open them);-our mail key is difficult to use;-I think we may have a spider infestation...and there are always ants crawling around. Even though I try to keep this place really clean!-the parking situation is awful. It seems there is never enough parking.-the gate at the playground is broken...so my daughter just wanders right out almost every time I bring her there. Also I think the woodchips need replacing.-some people dont pick up after their dogs. However, its really nice how doggy bags are provided throughout the property and they have a cute little dog park.-the office can be a little difficult to reach and have never answered my phone calls.Again, these are things weve just learned to live with. Other than that, we have friendly neighbors. Its a great location - just a short drive away from shopping and food. Most importantly I have always, always felt safe. The lighting is great outside, even at night. Im not afraid to walk around here. I like it here overall. :)

Good afternoon, I was thinking of renting this place, but thanks to these reviews, I do not want to come any closer, the problem of some condominiums, and that the buildings are made without adequate acoustics, and try to pass the responsibility to the residents, incredible as Has leasing centers in this area, with poor quality, authorities should be more demanding in the release of these condominiums

Lived here from May 2011 to May 2012 and for the most part hated it. We had very loud neighbors upstairs from us that constantly threw trash from their balcony onto ours or onto our garage right of way. Sprinkler system broke in one of my closets causing a small flood. AC unit broke and flooded causing mildew to grow in the adjoining bathroom closet. Was told that I might have to just live with a little mold. That did not go well after I threatened to hold all future rent in escrow until repairs were made. The location was great for commuting into DC though and the apartment was a good size. However 2100 a month for a 1000 sqft apt was a bit high so we decided to buy a house.

Even though I lived there for a while it was only due to location. Everything with this place was unsat. Apartment was flooded twice, hidden move out fees, workers stole an item and multiple break ins that they didn’t assist with correcting the issue. Glad to be gone!
